- Jerry Lynn defeated Delirious in a good, back and forth opener. Jerry's really over with the crowd as you might expect. They messed up a sunset flip spot pretty badly, but pulled it together and Lynn put Delirious away with a cradle piledriver.
- Kenny King defeated Sami Callahan. This was almost all Kenny King, though Callahan did get in some nice moves. Callahan's intense, but I still don't like his look. King put him away with an inverted fireman's carry into a DDT.
- Brent Albright defeated Rhett Titus by submission. Rhett got some nice offense in, and I think he's really benefited from not having the "ROH school student" label. I think he's got a good future barring injury. Albright came back strong and tapped Titus to the Crowbar.
- Tyler Black defeated Jimmy Jacobs in the main event. This is their first singles match in ROH. Jimmy took control early, but Tyler came back with a spinkick over the top rope. Tyler started working Jimmy over in the corner, but Jimmy used the tights to yank Tyler into the turnbuckle and regain control. Tyler went up to the top, but Jimmy pushed him off and to the floor, then followed up with a running elbowdrop off the apron. Tyler came back with a press slam, but missed a Phoenix Splash and Jimmy came back with a spear. Tyler got the knees up on a senton and went for God's Last Gift, but Jimmy countered into the End Time, but Tyler rolled through into a bridge for the win. Brodie Lee attacked Tyler after the match and he and Jimmy double teamed Tyler and left him laying.
EPISODE TWO: 03.28.09:
- Kevin Steen defeated Eddie Edwards. Steen took control early and did the snot blowing spot, but Edwards came back with some nicks kicks and locked Steen into a rear chinlock, then went to work on him in the corner and choked him on the ropes. Sweeney interfered behind the referee's back. Steen mounted a comeback by dropping Edwards groin-first on the top rope and nailing a cannonball in the corner for 2. Steen tried a swanton, but Edwards got the knees up. Steen turned it around with a superkick and enziguiri, followed by the package piledriver for the win.
- Sara Del Rey defeated Daizee Haze. Sara used her size to overpower Daizee to start slamming her off the top and hitting a vertical splash. Daizee came back with a flying headscissors, but botched a crossbody, which Sara saved with a blockbuster suplex and a backbreaker. Sara got Daizee in a torture rack, but Daizee escaped and hit a heart punch and a yakuza kick for 2. Sara missed a corner charge and Daizee hit...something, but Sara hit a rolling kick and the Butterfly Powerslam for the win.
- Claudio Castagnoli defeated Alex "Sugarfoot" Payne. Payne outmaneuvered Claudio to start until Claudio caught him in midair and turned it into a windmill slam. Claudio hit a gutwrench slam and a big bicycle kick for 2, and then followed up with a stiff European uppercut and a big power lift. Payne made a comeback with some token 80s
enhancement dropkicks and a bulldog, but Claudio killed him with a pop-up 2uropean uppercut and the Ricola Bomb for the win.
- ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness defeated Jay Briscoe in a non-title match. Nigel worked the arm to start, then they did the headlock/legscissors/escape spot 3 or 4 times before Jay wound up with the headlock. Jay worked the headlock for a minute or two until Nigel escaped and hoit a hammerlock STO. Jay came back with a nice dropkick, but Nigel went back to the arm and hit a hammerlock DDT and a nice hammerlock over-the-shoulder throw. Nigel locked Jay in a cobra clutch, but Jay escaped, ducked a short clothesline, and hit a big boot to turn the tide. Jay with a corner clothesline and a big spinebuster for 2, but Nigel trapped him in the corner and hit the kick to the back/forearm combo. Nigel went for the Tower of London, but Jay escaped and hit a Death Valley Driver for 2. Jay went up top slowly and Nigel nailed him and went for a superplex, but Jay knocked him off the top and hit a top rope legdrop for a close 2. Jay went for the Jay Driller but Nigel escaped and hit the Jawbreaker Lariat for the win
EPISODE THREE: 04.04.09:
- Erick Stevens defeated Sterling James Keenan. Stevens hit a couple of power moves to start but Keenan came back with some standard kick-punch stuff and a belly-to-back suplex for 2. Keenan ducked a clothesline and hit a nice STO for 2 then went to a kneeling surfboard. Stevens escaped and hit a nice overhead belly-to-belly and a second rope shoulderblock for 2. Keenan came back with an implant DDT but Stevens caught him in a pop-up powerslam and then followed that up with a big German suplex, a stiff clothesline, and a Doctorbomb for the win.
- The Dark City Fight Club defeated Cheech and Cloudy. The DFDC totally destroyed Cloudy to start. Cheech tagged in and Cheech and Cloudy hit some sweet double team moves including a dropkick to the back/619 combo, but the DCFC cut them off in short order and polished Cheech off with an assisted powerbomb for the win. Cheech and Cloudy looked way better than the DCFC here.
- Chris Hero defeated Necro Butcher. Hero is sporting new short tights, which don't look good on him. The crowd is crazy into Necro though Hero has a lot of crowd support too. Hero tried several yakuza kicks to start, but Necro no sold and started pounding on Hero. Larry Sweeney distracted Necro and Hero hit a roaring elbow to the back then threw Necro to the floor where Sweeney and Sara Del Rey attacked him behind the referee's back. Back in the ring, Hero trapped him in a cravate, but Necro escaped and started beating Hero down in the corner. Necro with a bulldog for 2, but Hero came back with a couple of nice strikes and a blockbuster for 2. Out on the floor Necro hit Hero with a chair, then pulled up the mats and gave Hero a chair slam on the concrete. Sweeney distracted Necro, allowing Hero to slip on the loaded elbow pad and knock Necro out with it for the win. Match of the night so far. Necro threatened to hit Turner with the chair after the match, but Turner ran off.
- Bryan Danielson defeated Austin Aries. The fans sung the Final Countdown before the match, I guess in protest over Danielson's much lamer new music. The crowd is crazy into Danielson. They spent the first couple of minutes feeling one another out with a nice series of holds and reversals. Aries finally took the advantage by rolling through a sunset flip and hitting a dropkick to Danielson's face. Aries hit his leaping elbow for two and put Danielson in a stump puller, then tossed Danielson over the top to the floor and hit the missile dive to the floor. Back in the ring, Aries caught Danielson in the illegal fishhook, but Danielson moved out of the way of the corner dropkick and started making a comeback with a series of European uppercuts. Danielson with the butterfly suplex into a cross armbreaker, but Aries made the ropes. Now Danielson sent Aries to the floor and faked Aries out on the dive, but nailed him with a running elbow off the apron instead. They went toe to toe back in the ring, Aries got the advantage and hit the corner dropkick and got Danielson in the Last Chancery, but Danielson reversed to a triangle choke and Aries tapped.
After Show:
Bryan Danielson gave a postshow speech saying he was never supposed to make it to TV and then gave several reasons why (causing a "best in the world" chant), then says he's suffered a lot of injuries and doesn't know how much longer he can do this, but he's had a lot of friends come and go, but he says today they have one of the best locker rooms in ROH history, but the people who have supported ROH for seven years made this company and thanks them for making it possible to have this first television taping. He said there was just one thing missing, and had the sound guy play the Final Countdown as the ring filled up with wrestlers to close the show.
Necro Butcher gets put over on the Oscars and RoH's first exposure to people that don't order DVDs is to have him lose to Chris Hero?
RoH sucks.

Are any storylines being progressed on his poor excuse for a TV show? Despite what you marks want to believe, most people watch wrestling for the angles and drama, not the in-ring theatrics.
And when you're dealing with generic vanilla guys that don't have distinct characters like you have in ROH (Gunnar Scott is one of your big stars. Seriously?), you need to have them do more than just wrestle. We want our promos, backstage segments, and run-ins, like a real wrestling program!
Sorry to spread the truth, but you elitist twats needed to hear it!

Correction:
Necro is top 5 trash wrestlers ever. He's never been, nor claimed to be, technical. He's primarily over for great brawling and acting insane.

The crowd was into it, and stayed into it, the whole 3+ hours. Philly crowds will rain on you in the flash of an eye if they don't like something, so that says a whole lot about the tapings.
Its still not clear whether all the matches will make it onto the tv shows though. And there wasn't much by way of introducing/advancing storylines and angles, leading me to believe its going to be a straight wrestling show ala the original ROH. For that, I will get HDNet one way or the other! But we'll see....
In the meantime, Bryan Danielson RULZ!

Then by all means don't watch ROH. I love a great Jericho promo. I've njoyed a lot of raw lately.
But I know when I watch ROH I'm watching to get a good match-not a bunch of talk. You're right, that won't pull in ratings-for some reason putting on good wrestling doesn't pull in ratings for a wrestling show. But that's not ROH's game at the moment. I for one will sit back and enjoy some good wrestling on my television.

Gee. That sounds like your beloved WWE right down to a tee with 90% of the roster being "generic vanilla guys", minus the wrestling ability and the fact that said "generic vanilla guys" are absolutely atrocious in their promos, backstage segments, and run-ins!
It's quite amusing how one person can bitch about "vanilla" and yet every Monday night can found in the comments section blowing their load over such amazing and oh-so-charismatic "entertainers" such as Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase, and Mike Knox.

Since Mr. McMahon and all the masses tell me so: This isn't worth my time and thus it is an Epic Fail.
I am incapable of using my own brain. But that's okay. Mr. McMahon will do the thinking for me.
The entertainers on this R-O-H show are minor league because they are not physically big enough. We entertainment fans require young, charismatic, and larger than life characters such as Vladimir Koslov. It is also always a pleasant surprise to see the Big Show in action.
Why think, when I have a true genius doing all my thinking for me? And by genius, I certainly don't mean Leaping Lanny Poffo :-) Hah-hah-hah. For that uninformed, that what Mr. McMahon likes to call a subtle shot at the Macho Man.

Were elitist twats yet you know who Albright is,fucking nerd
That aside, several wwe workers are on record lamenting the loss of Scott as fallout from Benoit, and as to your second point.
You watch for the storylines?
Really?
As you shit on AOTF(one of the best story arc's in years) to defend Huntor the Barburyier's need to be in the number one spot every WM?
Or the total abandonment of a great program between JBL and HBK for what?
A rehash of a cage match from 9 years ago?
The reality is, while i have enjoyed both of their work in the past
in no way do i want to see them lock up.
In no way do i want to see Jericho job to some washed up legend that can barely walk let alone work.
The bottom line is the only damn arc worth watching the payoff match at this time is the Hardys.
Where the real talent(Matt) should go over, but since he does not lend his face as well as Jeff to sell his Johnson&Johnson no more bitch tears shampoo you use,he will most likely be staring at the lights come WM.
Lets continue this tract,MitB qualfier number one,CM Punk proving that the IC title really is worth less then the womens, at least that will be defended.
The tag title's?
unless its the unification you can forget about either being defended
and can you really see the Colon's in a WM match anyways?
Moving on,Edge the best heel this side of Jacobs and he's booked to face Cena, and that's is a good call, god know's if i had to watch a HHH v Cena 30 min rest hold again i'd try and rape my garbage disposal.
For the most part i try and catch the highlights of all relevent product's
my truest dissapointment is TNA, but the staleness leading up to the Rumble nearly drove me off the product again.
If JBL and pantheon are listening, Please let Orton go over clean at WM
oh and Being realistic
Go fuck yourself

These are the taping results, you ignorant twat. This is not a recap of a televised program. Given the amount of interviews and promos that have crept into the PPV's, it is logical to assume that similar segments will be inserted into the program WHEN IT AIRS.

Uh, what have they altered exactly? Reads like a normal ROH show. So viewers are going to have to wait 3 weeks to see Danielson? Then what, another 3 weeks? Do they not realise the concept of television? Do they just want to use this deal as a showcase for their talent, or a vehicle to actually elevate the company? If they're not focusing on storylines, or maintaining regular exposure to their stars, what's the point?

5302, your wrong!! By the time ECW got the TNN deal, they spent all the creative genius of just mass chaos already, and they had to tone down for cable tv. ROH does not have to tone down at all, very rarely are guys smashed with outside weapons or talk of sleeping with an opponets wife, or stealing a child of an opponent, ect ect ect. Its wrestling first as a format! If they get the ball rolling right with these first group of shows, Mark Cuban will make sure the production value rivals the ufc (most fixed show out there, f!ck joe rogan) and e.
I was at the show last night, will be at the show again today... insider information... but the ending last night won't be topped, I hope they get that on a small segment on the tv show!! Although i didnt have a dragon boner like most the peeps in the room, it was still a hype moment.

The top 5 things the new, improved, and televised ROH needs to do to make this show better:
5. Refer to their wrestlers as superstars.
4. More superstars vs. jobber matches. Let the audience only see one superstar vs. JTTS match each time.
3. Announcers explain wrestling moves
less and push the storylines more. Exclaiming "What a maneuver!" is more than enough to explain all the action in the ring.
2. A Divas division.
1. Midget side-kicks.

I know someone is going to through some kind of IWC mark comment out but that's all fine and good because I enjoy ROH, WWE & TNA. Do I enjoy all 3 all the time? No I don't. Every company has postives and negatives. The people that rant and rave about how ROH, TNA or WWE sucks, is trash, etc I've got a great piece of advice. Instead of yammering about it, if you don't like it don't watch it.

Hey Gary Soneji: I've watched ROH Video Wires. There are maybe two guys in the whole promotion who can cut a realistic, believable promo. Roderick Strong, for instance, is so horrendously bad that they should wire his jaw shut and ban him from ever uttering a word.
And I also don't understand you ROHbots and your collective man love for Larry Sweeney. He's awful, over-the-top, and simply embarrassing to listen to. It's the type of character that if a non-fan walked in while you were watching, you'd turn the channel or make excuses because of how embarrassing it is. Yet IWC twits talk him up like he's a reincarnation of Bobby Heenan (and anyone using that comparison should be subject to immediate castration!)
You won't get any argument from me about Cody Rhodes. He's an uncharismatic lisping ass. But you can't be serious about Randy Orton. He's far from generic and has created and cultivated his own character very well for over five years now.
Posted By: Being realistic (Guest) on March 01, 2009 at 11:00 AM
FUCK ALL THE NEGATIVE BULLSHIT. I was there live front row and it was a SUCCESS for....TV. The DVD's and PPV's are still the best shows they put on. Main events are 15min and the rest, less then 10 minutes, but dont feel like wwe 3min squashes. Anyone forming a opinion based of reports are idiots. You weren't there for this historic night. It was great. You can love WWE and ROH, you don't have to ride the WWE's dick so hard you hate anything non WWE. ROH builds future and current stars. FUCK OFF

Also,LMAO at the guy who thinks TNA is better than WWE.

Posted By: bwahahaha (Guest) on March 01, 2009 at 01:39 PM
Let me explain something to you guys about how television works. When you put out a "product" with no hook, then you've got nothing. You can sit here all day talking about how you want to watch a bunch of no names do Japanese moves but when it comes down to it you're not going to be giving this show a satisfactory rating. Now, if they jazzed it up and making put some storyline development in there? Perhaps a stable, consisting of famous stars from another promotion? Well, then they could ride that wave for years without changing a thing. The money, and the ratings will just be rolling in. Trust me, I'm people who know people.
Posted By: Eric Bischoff (Guest) on March 01, 2009 at 02:08 PM
I find it funny how a lot of people bash ROH just by reading the results and not watching the actual shows. Sadly even die-Hard ROH fans do this.
If you spend $40 every mointh on WWE PPV's and $30 for TNA PPV's every month, do yourself a favor and pick up a ROH DVD or buy an ROH PPV. Yes it's completly different from WWE & TNA, so if you hate the show it's not like you haven't wsted money on a wrestling show before.
Posted By: Guest#6582 (Guest) on March 01, 2009 at 02:27 PM
I gotta tell ya, I have never ever in my life watched a TV show or movie or concert or whatever and said "Gosh, I hope the company behind this is making a lot of money. Gosh, I hope this gets really good ratings."
I mean, can you imagine watching a really good episode of The Wire or Mad Men and the guy sitting next to you goes "Yeah, I doubt that gets really good ratings." I'd probably smack the shit out of him.
Is the show GOOD or not? That's all I care about. I don't give a fuck how many people watch it.

The fans want entertainment. If you want Lucha Libre, go to Mexico or Japan. I'm here to produce a wrestling show that will draw ratings, not some low-rent Indy with 500 nerds thinking they know shit about wrestling, when they don't even know the meaning of psychology. Thank-you ROH for turning wrestling into a dance rountine with no psychology.
Posted By: Vince Russo (Guest) on March 01, 2009 at 03:53 PM
It makes me sad that WWE Superstars (Heat 2.0) will get a better rating than this.
I'm glad ROH finally got a TV deal though; I think there are a lot of hardcore fans out there that just don't know they're hardcore yet, so this should bring out their inner wrestling geek.

Ooh, I know, let's go onto something that I already know that I don't like and post comments stating how I don't like it. You guys need to get a life. If you want storylines, there's a product out there for you. If you want merchandise with crap slogans written all over it, there's something out there for you. But I, personally, want to just watch good actual wrestling matches. I am not going to jump all over WWE and TNA, as there's a place for that out there, but give this product a chance, as from what I have seen of ROH they can really deliver.
Posted By: Pete Thorn (Guest) on March 01, 2009 at 06:00 PM
"And using Knox,Rhodes,Dibiase and Orton as a reason to bash WWE is sad as hell. There the best promotion right now for promos and segments bar none."
Yep. And too bad none of the above talent-less wonders could cut a decent promo to save their own generic careers.
Whatever floats your boat, I suppose. If bland entertainment is your thing, then so be it.
Posted By: Your Mother's Vagina (Guest) on March 01, 2009 at 06:15 PM
You see, I'm too close-minded to believe that anything non-WWE can be any good.
Basically, if I don't see the WWE logo slapped onto it, it's not going be a good show at all. In fact, it's going to suck. A lot.
I want entertainment. If the show I'm watching has 80% wrestling and 20% in-ring interviews and backstage promos, then it's considered a failure. We strictly want stories with the wrestling aspect kept down to a minimum, if none of it at all. Because that's what entertainment is all about. After all, that's what the "E" stands for. The second 'W' in WWE should generally be ignored.
I don't care if you call us a race of mindless McMahon zombies. We may very well be, but at least we know the sad and unfortunate truth.

You know what ROH truly needs?
An Attitufe Era!
For the young fucks here, that was a sucessful era that occurred long before any of you were born. It's commonly described by a certain 7-11 clerk that often posts here as an "Era of A.D.D. Booking". Considering the fact that most of you have the attention span of a goddamn goldfish, the Attitude Era is the way to go!
Posted By: The REAL Vince Russo (Guest) on March 01, 2009 at 06:34 PM
gary year, there is a difference between bashing something and simply stating the obvious. Plus there is the fact that Yours Truly hates ROH, TNA and WWE equally, each for different reasons of course. So (Being Realisic:) playing the ROHBot card with me is simply the incorrect judgement.
I merely state the truth.
ROH. WWE. TNA. ETC. ETC. All have their own faults. The fanboys/fangirls that think otherwise are in denial.

Bishoff, you had a good idea, obviously a stolen one, but a good one nonetheless. And you did good with it for a while, and then your fans began to get tired of it. That was a sign of changing direction, but did that happen? No! You don't believe in positive change do ya? You destroyed southern wrasslin' before Mr. McMahon ever did, and I'll never forgive you for that. Gordon Solie is rolling in his grave, as is Tony Schiavone's evil goatee and pornstar mustache. Schiavone would have made a better head of WCW than you anyway. That just shows what brain surgeons & rocket scientists were working for WCW when they made you the head honcho.
Bishoff & Russo: Rot in Hell with WCW and all your failed projects.

Who let you out of your cage, Ross? Don't you know we "normal types" don't put any stock into the opinion of a man who can't even open his eyes all the way?
By the way.. CCW was GENIUS! Season 2 is coming, and it is going to beat RAW in the ratings, I promise you that. I don't want to get hopes up, but I may or may not have a certain actor from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air competing.

LOL AT THESE ROH FANS TRASHING RANDY ORTON. If ROH had the chance to get Randy Orton their management and fans would cream their pants. Face it guys, this show=EPIC FAIL. The people who came up with the idea of this show lives=EPIC FAIL. You just can't pop a rating with a bunch of wrestlings nobody has ever heard of.

Let's all point and laugh at the TNA fan that likes Randy Orton. That's a double negative if there ever was one.
