A 6-Man Tag Main Event highlights a decent show. Plus, the debut of Idol Stevens, The D'Jours are back and much more!
World Wrestling Council Results from Sabana Grande, PR on February 28th, 2008
- The D'Jour Twins defeat Mr. X & Achilles the Bodyguard by pinfall. Mr. X tried to use the loaded boot, but nailed Achilles by mistake. Mr. X got pinned. After the bout, the jobber team Double Image attacked the D'Jour Twins and left them down and out. Seems to me they will push them beyond jobber status then. Nice to see the D'Jour Twins back after they spent several months out nursing injuries.
- Aaron "The Idol" Stevens defeats "The Man-Beast" Angel by pinfall. Very good bout that had the crowd into it. Stevens spent some time in Smackdown teaming with KC James.
- Los Aerios (Carlitos & Hiram Tua) defeat "Rottweiler" Ricky Reyes & Double Image #1 by pinfall. Carlitos pinned #1 with a top rope legdrop. Reyes continues to feud with Los Aerios and I expect to see him and one of them compete for the vacant Junior Heavyweight Title soon.
- "The Phenomenal" BJ defeats "Mr. San Juan" Tommy Diablo by pinfall. As good as any of the matches between these guys.
- "Mr. Ratings" Rey Gonzales & Victor Jovica defeat "The Hammer" Charles Evans & Jose Chaparro. Decent bout for what it was considering three of the four can't work. Let's see: we have a sixty-something year old Jovica who looks laughably out of place in the ring, Chaparro who is a non-wrestler and Hammer is one of those very basic power guys. Even Rey can't drag a good bout out of them! Hammer nails Chaparro with a foreign object by mistake and Rey catches hammer from behind in a school-boy pin to win the bout.
- Hardcore Evolution (Rico Suave & Huracan Castillo) & Mr. Mac defeat Thunder, Lightning & Chicky Starr by pinfall. The finish has Mac stealing Starr's baseball bat and nailing him with it for the win. Mac is a heat machine, even if he is not a good worker. The other five guys can work a tag team bout in their sleep, so the match was really good for what it was.
