Even More WWE News: Orton/HHH Angle Details, Boogeyman Gimmick, Hall of Fame, More
Posted by Larry Csonka on 03.10.2009

- Here are the details on the Randy Orton/HHH angle from last night's Raw:
* It was filmed yesterday in Florida, not in Orton's home.
* The woman that played his wife was an actress, and not a developmental talent.
* The "police" in the segment were developmental talents Matt Walsh and Michael Hutter.
* They did multiple takes of certain parts of the angle, and edited it into a final product, which we saw last night. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]

- Representatives for Marty "Boogeyman" Wright are claiming that he has full rights to use the gimmick outside of WWE, since he created the persona and the gimmick. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]

- The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will begin at 6PM Central time, which will give the WWE production crew roughly three hours to get the show ready to air on the USA Network at 10PM ET. The USA presentation is one hour long again this year. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]

- The main event for the March 29th Wichita Falls, TX house show is Randy Orton and The Big Show vs. HHH and Jeff Hardy.

- DH Smith will be on Between the Roped tonight from 6PM-8PM ET. You can check out the stream of the show here.

I thought "actresses" were supposed to be able to "act"

Marty "Boogeyman" Wright better purchase the best law team available. As Vince's lawyers will be coming to get him for using a copyrighted gimmick.

Do you think that performance was good enough to get me on CSI?

Posted By: Triple H (Guest)  on March 10, 2009 at 02:58 PM

What useless crap to read about. Yes, we know that Orton-HHH was staged. Tell us something we don't know!

Good move Wright!

He could probably cash in on that gimmick for the next few years on the Indy circuit, without having to do much wrestling.

The guy from Upright Citizens Brigade is a WWE developmental talent?

Posted By: Highscore Kid (Guest)  on March 10, 2009 at 03:10 PM

I had initially thought that wasn't his wife, mainly because I thought the poor girl was going to eat a Pedigree. Then when that never happened, I thought it WAS his actual wife. Vince is pluggin' them leaks up good!

If USA Doesn't show the Steamboat and Austin Inductions, I will be uber-pissed!

to bad for randy orton that girl was so hot!!!!

Posted By: Guest#9859 (Guest)  on March 10, 2009 at 03:25 PM

If Orton's "wife" was an actress, she should quit now while she's young so she can find a good job...

Posted By: KX (Guest)  on March 10, 2009 at 03:38 PM

Why is Hardy in that tag? Common logic would be Cena wouldn't it?

Posted By: Jeremy (Guest)  on March 10, 2009 at 04:01 PM

I hope Boogeyman gets to keep his gimmick. I understand WWE's position is he were going to TNA, but WWE always goes overboard with their trademarks for guys who know have to bounce around the Indies.

"He could probably cash in on that gimmick for the next few years on the Indy circuit, without having to do much wrestling."

So, basically, the same thing he's been doing in WWE the last few years.

so they had a day to work on it and that was the best they could do huh?

WWE trying to copyright "The Boogeyman" would be like Coca-Cola trying to copyright "Santa Claus". It's a concept that has been around so long that it is considered Public Domain.

Posted By: IntelWarrior (Guest)  on March 10, 2009 at 04:30 PM

I laughed at the pictures they posted. One said "Orton's wife cowers in fear from HHH" (or something)...when she clearly had NO emotion whatsoever.

"The woman that played his wife was an actress, and not a developmental talent."

ZOMG! Really?!?!? I had NO IDEA!

I knew immediatley it wasnt his home because he was drinking a bottle of Publix water. Publix is a southern supermarket with no stores anywhere near st loius

Orton's real wife was shown at last year's HOF.

That's really oversimplifying the matter. They don't need to copyright "The Boogeyman" as a whole. All they'd need to do is copyright it for "wrestling/sports entertainment" purposes.

Oh gawd we're gonna have another Jim Hellwig and he'll rename himself "Boogeyman Boogeyman"

Posted By: Jaked (Guest)  on March 10, 2009 at 07:00 PM

Is in not strange that WWE decides to tell us all that Orton has a wife when they just did a story line a few weeks ago where Orton had a one night stand with kelly kelly. So in essence Orton cheated on his wife.

Also Ortons "wife" did not even act scared in the kitchen when Triple H asked her where orton is.

That HHH/Orton segment cracked me up. I liked how people kept popping out. It was like a fun house. How many random people does Randy have hangin with him?

Posted By: PepperJ (Guest)  on March 10, 2009 at 07:46 PM

I agree. That actress was hott as hell.

What?!?! WWE pretapes segments for alive broadcast???????

I guess "actress" is just a euphemism for "local stripper."

While the term "boogeyman" is far from original, the made up appearance/entrance/and other aspects of the character can be copyrighted. I suppose if a wrestler called himself that, but used no other aspects of the character, it would be fine.

It was a throwaway role on a WRESTLING program. Did you expect a good actress?

Posted By: lol (Guest)  on March 11, 2009 at 12:28 AM

if boogey gets to keep his gimmick, i can see him as part of Chikara's king of trios at some point on some joke team.

Yeah I'm sure they aren't going to show the Austin induction. Arguably the most popular wrestler ever, and they aren't going to air it. They will show Koko and Bill Watts for an hour, that will bring in the ratings. Could you maybe think beofre you write such an uber-stupid comment.

" They did multiple takes of certain parts of the angle, and edited it into a final product, which we saw last night. " Yeah.. that wasn't too hard to tell.. A big hole in the wall magically appeared before they even started the Keystone Cops routine
