    FINALLY!

The unification match for the ridiculous two sets of tag team belts with 2 teams on the roster HAS COME - to WRESTLEMANIA!

If those teams deliver like they have been, should be a great addition to the show. Good choice for opener, I think.

Awesome Morrison/Miz is gonna be on the Grandest Stage. They should go on first.

I'm hoping Priceless is on the card. Maybe they could take on the McMahons.

About time we see a Tag Title match at Mania. If they give it about 15-20 minutes it can be epic.

As much as the main events and Jericho/Hall of Fame storylines are starting to blow, FUCK YES to seeing the IC AND all Tag Titles on the line this year!

glad to see the tag match on there, hoping miz and morrison pull it out and unfiy the belts, jbl and mysterio? well at least the IC title is finally being defended at mania. all the other matches will be good, but I am sooo hoping that they don't do the jericho vs the legends handicap match. its a waste of his talents, and a total waste for mania

Posted By: Cody (Guest)  on March 17, 2009 at 10:17 PM

Yes! These two teams can put on great matches together.

This has made the Wrestlemania card that much more special, can't wait!

    Money on the Colons.

wwe unifying the tag belts shows just how lazy creative really is today.

wwe could have had 2 competitive tag team divisions if they put effort in pushing tag teams.

priceless, cryme tyme, morrison/miz on raW

    COLONS, JESSE/FESTUS, ZEKE/KENDRICK ON SD.

YOU CAN ADD A NEW TEAM TO EACH DIVISION AND THERE YOU GO.

TNA is doing the same thing with Beer Money Inc. and Team 3D. WAIT! Never mind, the winner will win the IWGP and TNA tag team titles.

It's a good thing WWE is unifying the tag team belts. Lot of good will come of this.

A tag team title match on PPV?! Genius!

Is this going to be like Undertaker and Kane in 2001 holding both the WWF and WCW tag titles for one month, then losing the WWF titles while keeping the WCW belts? Same with X-Pac holding both the LHW/Cruiserweight championships at the same time for a brief period before they were seperated again.

Posted By: Guest#5326 (Guest)  on March 17, 2009 at 10:26 PM

so is this the end of the brand extension?
    i hope not.

And in another year or so they'll add another set of tag straps, unify the US into the ECW title, launch another, blah blah blah no wonder title holders are meaning less and less nowadays.

Posted By: Guest#1915 (Guest)  on March 17, 2009 at 10:32 PM

now if we can only get a unification of the women's titles, and bring back the Cruiserweight.

i wish they would add Legacy and Cryme Time to that match...
Or maybe just Legacy, it could be a brand supremacy match
    Raw- Legacy
    ECW- Miz & Morrison

The card is getting worse and worse by the week. Midget Motherfucker vs JBL I know the lil pip squeak beat JBL in 2006 during the insult to our intelligence run of the midget as world champ dealueing the belt and dragging Eddie's name through the mus at the same time and I know we are supposed to suspend belief but a 175 lb man really standing a chance against a 290 man c'mon we are not retarded and I don't care how much the brats Vince is catering to like the midget because he's the same height as 99% of his fan base but I'm sure there's a better opponent for JBL at Mania than the Midget. Yes the midget can be exciting as hell if he is in there with someone in the 175-245lbs range but JBL is too big and there is no way in hell Rey's offense should be affective against him at all. Handicap match yuk, super yuk tho atleast it's not that Orange Pile of Garbage who can't stay out of the spotlight (Hogan). HBK vs Taker will be good and MITB should be good despite the inclusion of Henry & Kane. Everything else is ok not spectular and not crappy tho if they made the Hardy match a gimmick match it would get more intersting.

if anyone noticed on wwe.com there is not one mention of Jericho having a handi-cap match at mania. so that could mean a possibility of the legends declining next week on raw but finding a replacement being non other than Stone Cold Steve Austin.

    Good Prediction?

On paper it's the worse show ever.
HHH is not, nor will he ever be, Hogan, Austin, or Rocky as far as drawing heat.
Even Hogan sold more to make his opponents look good BEFORE the match.
If Orton doesn't win we riot, or something like that. Hell it worked to get RVD a title run and some good weed.

Anyway, yeah, three tag teams per set of tag titles. That's a helluva "division."

Now, if WWE were to give us all of those teams going after ONE set of belts, as they may do now, we're in business.

A Mania show with Taker and Michaels can damn near stand on that match alone....
Even if 75% of the card is recycled garbage, at least we will get one timeless, epic(hopefully) encounter.

Miz/Morrison vs. Colons unify titles BRILLIANT! And Matt who posted at 10:51pm SHUT THE HELL UP! Kane has already proven he can go in a ladder match, and Mysterio is one of the most consistant performers of any brand, No let's sit one of the biggest stars on the roster on the biggest show of the year cuz his "Kayfabe" offense is to weak to hurt JBL! Do you realixe how retarded you sound?!

Posted By: yankeeman (Guest)  on March 17, 2009 at 11:46 PM

    Umm.......Cautiously optimistic? :/

The Diva Battle Royale is nice, but they didn't have to make it a gimmick for "Miss WrestleMania". In fact, they should have just made it for the Unified Women's title, but that is unlikely to happen.

They cave in to the demands for an IC title match at WM, but then they give it to a ready-to-retire-NOW JBL and a more deserving Rey Mysterio.

They dropped the ball big time with Jericho, on this whole legends angle by not being able to deliver any super huge names, much less more than two guys that can actually WRESTLE (Snuka is just going to be heartbreaking to watch, and I really hope Steamboat is in shape. Piper should do okay but he never had that many high impact moves.)

The FINALLY have a unifying tag team title match, but knowing WWE they'll fuck it up with having The Colons win.

MITB is way too obvious this year. Henry, Kane, and Finlay are definitely not going to win, Punk isn't going to repeat despite them being GREAT to him over the last 18 months, and Shelton will always be a midcarder. Which leaves Christian and MVP; Christian has just returned, and I doubt they'd give the most coveted prize in the game to a guy that just got back, so my money is on MVP to be transitional champion of the year.

HBK vs Undertaker will without a doubt be epic, but I could actually see HBK becoming the new legend killer with Undertaker's permission (since he's be talking about retirement.)

Orton vs HHH unfortunately started WAAAY too early, so they ruined the build with recycled (and crappy) filler skits, but I have no doubt these two will pull at least a ***1/2 out of their asses, a) because Orton is on fire and b) Orton is Triple H's project and will put him over like crazy, if not pull off a double turn.

Edge vs Cena vs Big Show is extremely underwhelming, not because of Big Show, but because we'll have to sit through all the Cena/Edge stuff we've already seen. I actually wouldn't mind Show pulling off the upset win here, but there is no way in hell two heels are winning world titles at WM, so it's definitely going to be Cena.

miz/morrison v the colons if given more than 15 mins could be a true showstealer and this feud has been building for months!

I'm so glad to see they are making use of the tag belts and actually have a background story going into it!

Miz and Morrison deserve to be at Mania for being the hardest working guys on the whole roster.

The card is pretty solid and Mania WILL DELIVER as USUAL.

Each year people are shitting on the card and at the end of the show they're all "awesome show" "hbk vs taker was pure greatness" bla bla

EPIC FAIL FOR THE IWC HERE !

Posted By: EVIL (Guest)  on March 18, 2009 at 01:37 AM

    Colons vs Miz/Morrison = Gold
    Hardy vs Hardy = Gold
    HBK vs Taker = Platinum

The rest of the card needs some work, but at least we have three solid WM classics.

Cena vs Orton would have been platinum. The two biggest stars this generation has produced going head to head. Cena being the hero of the younger fans going head to head with Orton being the hero of the older fans would have been a heated match that everybody would have had an interest in. Cena deserves a 1 on 1 main event spot at the biggest show of the year, but instead he's the third wheel in the secondary main event cause HHH wanted his spot instead.

HHH took what Cena earned and he's using it to bury Orton.

This generation and all future generations will fail to develop because HHH will continue to abort them before they can make a name for themselves....

And if they do finally start to make a name for themselves like Orton was doing earlier this year, he'll stop them dead in their tracks as he's doing currently and use that momentum for his own personal gain.

A lot of people are being way too negative about this card. I think we have a decent card here.

Trips/Orton is old but they've had great build up.

Money in the Bank is always good and even though they have two big guys in it this year, they can be effective in a multi-man situation.

Taker/Shawn has actually had years of build (in past Royal Rumbles) and could be MOTN and a MOTYC

Add to this the Jericho match (nostalgia) and the IC and tag titles actually getting defended and you have a mania that is at least decent, if not better, depending on Taker/Shawn, HHH/Orton and money in the bank.

Cool, tag titles at Mania. But now given how much the teams have fought each other recently, make it a TLC match!

I haven't been this excited by Mania since XX. As usual the world title matches are underwhelming but the rest of the card looks fantastic. Hardy vs Hardy, MitB, Tag Titles Match and Taker/HBK could all be show stealers. I have never watched a battle royal I didn't enjoy so the Diva's match should be fun, especially when you add the nostalgia factor into it.

    * Rumored: IC Title Match: JBL © vs. Rey Mysterio
    * Chris Jericho vs. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and Rowdy Roddy Piper
    * Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy
    * The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels
    * Winner Takes All – WWE Tag Team Titles vs. World Tag Team Titles – Unified Tag Team Title Match: The Miz and John Morrison © vs. Carlito and Primo Colon ©
    * 25-Diva "Miss WrestleMania" Battle Royal: Known Participants - Melina, Maryse, Mickie James, Gail Kim, Michelle McCool, The Bella Twins, Alicia Fox, Kelly Kelly, Maria, Eve Torres, Katie Lea Burchill, Beth Phoenix, Layla El, Rosa Mendes, Candice Michelle, Natalya Neidhart, Jillian Hall, Tiffany
    * Money in the Bank Ladder Match: CM Punk vs. Kane vs. Mark Henry vs. MVP vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Christian vs. Finlay
    * World Title Match: Edge © vs. The Big Show vs. John Cena
    * WWE Title Match: HHH © vs. Randy Orton

    IC title = boring
Old age outlaws vs y2hairico= waste of time
matt vs jeff = bret vs owen from wm10 boring
    UT vs HBK = Great!
MNM 2.0 vs Cool for TT unification = AWESOME!
DIVA Battle Royale with Gail Kim = Should be Good
    MITB = AWESOME!
    WTM = OKAY
    WWE TM = OKAY!

They certainly will not have any buys for the Y2hairico match, hardys match and the IC title match has absolutely no heat or build up. The hardys match should be a TLC match, that would make me watch it, it made them household names for shits sake!! The Old age outlaws vs hairico come on thats the best WWE got for their 25th WM?!? All the rest of the matches minus the WH/WWE title matches will be awesome or interesting.

As usual, the Wrestlemania card shapes up to be good to great. Certainly more than worth buying. And as usual, everyone shits on it till the last minute. And as usual, the response to the show once it's over will probably be overwealmingly good.

The tag title unification was something I was hoping for, because it's a legitimately hot feud with ALL young guys involved who work their asses off (and as has been mentioned, both shows have thin tag divisions by themselves, but across both shows, there's a good number of credible teams). To sweeten the pot, Striker and Grish should call the match. They've earned it.

"Cool, tag titles at Mania. But now given how much the teams have fought each other recently, make it a TLC match!"

I COMPLETELY agree. We've watched them for weeks going back and forth, why have basically the same match we've been getting for free every week?

I'm still in denial about the Jericho match. I know WM is getting closer and closer, but they're still gonna announce something else to replace that crap... I hope.

Diva battle royal...really why is this shite being shown at WM? Are wrestling fans so horny and devoid of sex, as well as Mummy and Daddy blockng internet porn that they get off on this?

Ok, JBL/Rey? Been done to death, although not recently. And based on some of the matches I've seen lately, guys are really doing a bad job of overselling some of Rey's moves, a number of which he's missed or partially missed.
And that Jericho match, if it's official, is a dog. Snuka couldn't sell the ambush a few weeks back and they want him in an actual match? Rod.. love ya, but no. Haven't seen Steamboat in ages, but Austin would be the big sell in a match with Jericho.
And what the hell, make the Hardy's go at it in a no DQ match or something where they could show off a bit.

People will moan about the card no matter what it was, thats smarks for you.

While i admit that the Jericho thing is disapointing, who can complain about MITB, the Tag title match, Hardy v Hardy & Taker-HBK?

    Money in the Bank Prediction:
Money in the Bank Ladder Match: CM Punk vs. Kane vs. Mark Henry vs. MVP vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Christian vs. Finlay
Not going to be: Finlay, Kane, Shelton, Henry, MVP, or Kingston.
    Will be: Christian most likely
    Maybe: Punk

I dont think the legends have accepted Jerichos challange yet...I hope they agree to be at ringside and just let Steamboat vs Jericho...that will make it more epic...he looks in shape at least...snuka is a walking corpse and piper can barely walk...plus the storyline would be much improved as you can factor in Jerichos idolization of Steamboat while growing up

Triple H is a f''cking cancer in the WWE.
Like someone else posted, Cena v Orton for the world title SHOULD have been the main event of this show.
But Triple H had to get himself in the spotlight and ruin everything.
If HHH had been willing to accept being in the secondary world title match with Edge then we'd have a really good Mania on the horizon.
It's not a drastically bad card - but for Wrestlemania it is massively underwhelming.
    Jericho stuff - very poor
World title triple threat - very poor
WWE title match - drags Orton down, Randy simply MUST go over big time here.
MITB - very predictable, no chance of outdoing previous years.
Jeff v Matt - Matt has never had a classic...waste of Jeff

Taker v HBK will be superb. This is looking very much like a WM18 type one big match affair. Could have been so much more.

It's sad that people actually believe that this could be the worst WM ever.Do people actually see the card or are they just programmed to be annoying bitches about everything ?

Enjoy Shawn and Undertaker while you can, they wont be able to save Wrestlemania next year or the year after.

I never said it will be worse than 9 only TNA can put on a worse PPV than Mania 9 but I am not overly excited about this Wrestlemania card other than HBK vs Taker nothing jumps out as exciting right now and EVERY match on Mania should be exciting it's the BIGGEST FUCKING PPV of the god damn year. If you like the card that's cool but personally I think they could come up with a better card if they actually gave a fuck about putting on a good show!!

JBL should win over Rey Rey because JBL is a great champion.
Jericho gonna get his butt handed to him.
Matt will win over Jeff in a brutal match ending with both brothers hugging in the end.
Undertaker will win over Michaels. Giving WM26 Undertaker's final match and first WM loss to Triple H.
Miz and Morrison will win they are crap.
Wendy Richter will make a surprise comeback as The Spider Lady 2 and win.
Christian will win the ladder because he’s the only one that can do a good interview.
Big Show will be the new champ because it’s been a while since he’s had the belt.
Triple H will win because 1)He’s in the main event and Vince wants the people to go home happy 2)He’s Vince’s son-in-law.

I DID NOT ORDER WrestleMania 22, and I am PROUD of it. Why? Because going in to the event that card looked WRESTLEMANIA IX CALIBER, and to be perfectly honest was not worthy of being considered a WrestleMania. While I later saw Edge/Foley and HH/Cena (which surprisingly delivered but not in the way McMahonagement wanted) on YouTube, I have no regrets; $60 well saved.

Right now, I am STRONGLY considering NOT ORDERING WrestleMania 25, especially after being disappointed and underwhealmed by WrestleMania 25. Orton/HHH could be a ****+ classic, or a **1/2 suck-fest (depending on whether or not Randy Orton puts his WORKING BOOTS on). Beyond that, it truly does look like a ONE MATCH CARD: Shawn Michaels VS The Undertaker. As good as that match may be, is it really worth $60? Or a 25 minute YouTube viewing?

Terrible under-card, HHH/Orton have good chemistry and HBK/Taker will steal the show but other than that this card is a flop.

Coreyoni, if it turns out like that it'll be even worse than it is on paper.
For all those positive on this card- look at it this way, take away HBK v Taker and this really could be any WWE PPV. I'd say Summerslam was more exciting on paper than this. So was No Way Out!!!

So, good listing, nine matches, seems a bit excessive, but uh...

WHERE THE FUCK IS THE GODDAMN ECW TITLE MATCH? JESUS, WWE, TREAT IT LIKE A FUCKING WORLD TITLE FOR ONCE, WOULD YA?!

it's 4 hours so they could easily add another match or two and if they just cut out the filler crap each match would get enough time even if there was 10-12 matches on the 4 hour card
