411’s ECW on Sci-Fi Report 6.09.09

June 9, 2009 | Posted by Michael Bauer

Welcome to the ECW on Sci-Fi! As always, I am Michael Bauer, your 411 ECW Re-capper.

We open with highlights of the ECW Title match from Extreme Rules where Tommy Dreamer actually won the ECW Title and went to celebrate in the crowd. Nice job of mixing in pictures from the old ECW days.

And finally the Hart Dynasty is in the opening video for ECW. After that video, we go to Josh Matthews and Matt Striker at ringside. Tiffany is waiting in the ring for a contract signing as she introduces the New ECW Champion, Tommy Dreamer! And the contract is for Dreamer as he apparently earned a new contract for ECW. Dreamer looks to be soaking it all in, almost like he is speechless. Tiffany reminds us all of Tommy’s goal and what he put on the line. They shake hands and Tommy thanks Tiffany and admits that he didn’t believe it could happen. He says that is because of everyone that he still believed it could happen and they it did. All he can say is thank you for making this the greatest highlight of his career. Tommy is about to sign his contract as Christian comes out with a box of tissues. Well, Tommy did look like he was gonna cry. Christian calls it a victory present and calls him a crybaby as Tommy laughs. Christian calls Swagger a dork and thanks him getting involved and never being pinned to lose the title. Christian says that Dreamer owes him a rematch and shakes his hand, saying he is glad he is still around. Swagger now interrupts as Dreamer again tries to sign his contract. Swagger decides to stay on the stage at first, because he says nobody is happy Dreamer is still around. Swagger says the production team doesn’t want to see his fat ass. Swagger says that the problem was between him and Christian and Dreamer shouldn’t be involved in the match. Swagger has a lawyer and that the one day extension is a joke. He says that Dreamer should be stripped of the title as he was not contracted at the time. Of course, he says Dreamer should just forfeit the belt and do the right thing. Christian agrees with Swagger, Tommy should do the right thing and Christian is about to as well. Christian then turns and belt Swagger. Dreamer joins in and they both send Swagger to the floor. Dreamer celebrates on the second turnbuckle, but Christian grabs him and powerbombs Dreamer through the table before dropping the new contract on his chest. Christian looks to have gotten even for those DDTs before the PPV, but they team up tonight against the Hart Dynasty!

After the break, Tiffany is backstage looking over an accident and the guy says a guy in green came in. Tiffany comes over and asks Christian why he put Dreamer through a table. Christian asks to make it a singles match, but Tiffany now says that Jack Swagger is his partner tonight.

Kidd and Smith bail, but Swagger gets nailed a few times before he can escape. Dreamer dares them to come back as we end the program.
