411's TNA Impact Report 11.12.09
Posted by Chris Lansdell on 11.12.2009
More talk about Hogan scattered in among a whole lot of sub-standard matches and a couple of decent ones.
Hey yo. Let see what everyone's favourite Florida promotion has for is this week, shall we?
Are they still frigging talking about Hogan signing? Dude hasn't even shown up on air yet. Anyway, JB and Foley are with Super Dave Osborne in Foley's office. Osborne says how great Foley was on the show and they plug his upcoming specials on Spike. Foley tells Osborne that he can book one match, no title matches, because he only got one skit on the Super Dave Spike-tacular. Foley leaves and Lethal comes in to talk about the Invitational. Lethal wants to know Who his opponent is. Yes, that's correct. JB wants to know if Super Dave follows his tweets, and Super Dave buries Twitter, social media and technology in general.
Foley is now at ringside, presumably to commentate. Yes, yes he is. Foley claims he was not informed of the Hogan signing because it was announced by email and he's not technologically inclined.
Abyss vs. Dr. Stevie
Zombie Hot Daffney is out with Stevie, and her arms look like swizzle sticks. DAMN babe, eat a cheeseburger.
Stevie charges Abyss as soon as he enters the ring but unfortunately eats a boot. That gets a quick 2 count. If Stevie gets pinned here, he has to leave TNA. Abyss misses a charge but then avoids a Stevie charge and gets a schoolboy for 2. Shock Treatment is countered with an eye rake and Stevie goes to the legs, then drops a pair of elbows for a 2 count. Steviekick connects! 1...2...no. GOOZLE! Stevie kicks his way free and hits the ropes BLACK HOLE SLAM! 1...2...LIGHTS GO OUT! What the hell? The lights come back up and Abyss is laid out, Stevie crawls over and gets the cover! 1...2...3?
Winner: Dr. Stevie via pinfall (attack under cover of darkness) Rating: *
Post-match Stevie goes to attack Abyss with a chair but Foley saves him and beats down the evil doctor, lights go out again! FIREBALL! The lights go up and...RAVEN! Evenflow to Foley! Raven poses and from the looks of it, he's been eating Daffney's cheeseburgers.
JB is with the whackjobs and says he's here to stay, and he brought the pain. Raven says that last time Foley got in Raven's way, Terry Funk got burned up pretty good. Now it's his turn. Raven talks about erotically stimulating violence and other things that are all more entertaining than anything I've seen on this show in weeks. Find this promo and laugh.
Alissa Flash vs Traci
Heel on heel eh?
Traci gives a clean break which suggests a face turn. Flash goes to work on the arm and hits a shoulderbreaker. Tenay mentions that Traci has been handicapped since birth, then declines to extrapolate. Alissa slams the arm off the mat a few times as Taz says she's crossing the line Fujiwara armbar applied by Flash and that'll do it.
Winner: Alissa Flash via submission (Fujiwara armbar)
Traci goes nuts after the match and beats crap out of Flash. The crowd are not happy but Taz and Tenay are trying to say she was right to do it because Alissa crossed the line. Whatever, if she wants to "fight" with a "birth defect" than she has to expect people will go after it. Why am I rationalising a wrestling angle?
Boots which are made for walking head to the ring! Their owner faces Lethal, NEXT!
Jay Lethal vs...Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart
Who is fighting Lethal. Neidhart looks pregnant and old.
Whip and a back drop by Anvil. Lethal avoids a charge and hits a double axehandle from the top. He whips Anvil in but gets caught with a clothesline to level him. Both men are down, Lethal is up first and snaps Anvil's neck over the rope for 2. Running elbow by Lethal, he tries a crossbody but gets caught in the Anvil Flattener! 1...2...3???? I hope that powerslam didn't hurt the baby.
Winner: Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart via pinfall (Anvil Flattener) Rating: *¼
I just saw Jim Neidhart win a singles match in 2009. I want some of whatever Russo is on.
Lauren is with Lashley. They start talking about why Kristal is not there, but they are interrupted by a lackey saying there's an emergency in the production truck. Steiner is on one of the screens (how he gets an uplink to TNA production is a mystery) and says he is not at the Impact Zone but instead is at Lashley's hotel. Lashley tears off after him.
Super Dave is with JB talking about Mick's injury. Dave wants to go see Mick and JB doesn't want them to leave. Super Dave tells JB to book the best match he can in honour of Mick, and JB instantly thinks X-Division.
The Beautiful People and Awesome KONG~! Vs Taylor Wilde, Sarita, ODB and Tara
DAT AZZ CUBED! I love you cameraman. Wait...what's this I see? LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! At this time I am contractually obliged to remind you that Kong kills bitches dead. And that I have shot my catchphrase load.
Rayne and Tara to start. Rayne poses but gets taken down with a waistlock. Tag to Wilde who comes off the top with a double axehandle. Wilde goes to work on the arm and tags in Sarita. Wilde powerbombs Sarita onto Rayne and almost kills Sarita in the process. 1...2...Rayne kicks out and gets the tag to Lacey. God, she even looks awkward in a lockup. Whip by Lacey, she misses a clothesline and an elbow but connects with a boot to the gut and a forearm to the back for 2. COMMERCIAL!
We're back and we get clips of a double-team on Sarita. ODB and Velvet tag in, ODB hits an avalanche on Sky and another on Rayne. BRONCO MUNCHER on Sky! Fallaway slam on Rayne@ ODB poses but turns around into a Lacey clothesline. Tara levels her and then runs into a Kong riht hand. Kong tags herself in, Wilde tries a Thesz Press but Kong just hits a belly bounce. She tries the Awesome Bomb but Wilde slips out the back, however the respite is temporary as Kong catches her and hits the Implant Buster for the win.
Winners: The Beautiful People and Awesome Kong via bitch-killing (Kong on Taylor, Implant Buster) Rating: *¼
JB and Super Dave are with the X-Division, or some of them anyway. He tries to get them to put their all and everything into a great match for Mick.
My GOD they're STILL talking about Hogan. Angle is talking him up now.
We're back to footage of Lashley running through his hotel. He bursts into his room and Kristal is just maxin' and relxain', groovin' all cool when in bursts Steiner to tattoo Lashley with a pipe and...a lamp. Kristal shrieks a lot.
Angle is out. He puts over Matt Morgan and AJ Styles, saying they both took him to the limit. He has respect for them working their way to the top, but he has none for someone coming in off the street and trying to break his neck. He says Wolfe has earned nothing and proved nothing. Wolfe is on the screen saying that he's not in the Impact Zone to avoid Angle going nuts. He's not trying to beat Angle, he's here to hurt him and end his career. He says some more stuff and it becomes clear that the video is pre-taped. It's part of the story though as Wolfe is stalking Angle...who sees it coming! Angle takes Wolfe down and beats him silly, but misses a chair shot on the outside and EATS a DDT on the floor! The video is playing on loop in the background the whole time. Wolfe measures Angle and CREAMS him with the chair. Another strong segment.
Super Dave is out on commentary for this match. He sounds awful and is clearly not a wrestling fan. How long until he hosts Raw?
The Motor City Machine Guns and Amazing Red vs. Homicide, Sheik Abdul Bashir, and Kiyoshi
The Elite charge at the bell and it boils down to Homicide and Shelley to start. Shelley gets nailed with a clothesline and Homicide tags in Bashir. Whip to the corner by Bashir followed by some stomps and a neckbreaker for two. Kiyoshi tags in and they exchange chops, Kiyoshi goes to the throat to take control. Snap mare and a seated clothesline by Kiyoshi. Shelley gets his feet up to block a charge and knocks Homicide and Bashir off the apron. He tries to make a tag but Kiyoshi hits Sole Food. Homicide retreives the barbed wire bat that he had wrapped in the Puerto Rico flag but is prevented from using it by Security. He beats them up on the way out. Tag to Bashir, Shelley avoids charges from both men then hits a flatliner on Bashir into the turnbuckle. He gets the tag to Red who comes in with a double missile dropkick to Bashir and Kiyoshi! Spin kicks for both men, he gets boots up to block two charges then rolls across the back of Kiyoshi to kick Bashir. Lucha DDT to Kiyoshi! Red FLIES to the outside with a twisting press! Sabin and Shelley hit stereo kicks on Bashir, then Shelley goes up top. Sabin positions Bashir for a neckbreaker...Shelley hits a frog splash with Bashir in neckbreaker position! Nice combo and it will be enough.
Winners: Motor City Machine Guns and Amazing Red via pinfall (Shelley on Bashir, frog splash/neckbreaker combo) Rating: **3/4
Lauren is with Desmond Wolfe. He is here to replace Angle, he's followed his career since day 1 and now he's going to take it. He's younger, better and healthier than Angle and come the PPV, everyone will bow to his howl. Not a good catchphrase.
We get a recap of Dixie's address to the troops.
Team 3D and Rhino are out together. Brother Ray talks about what he did last week, and says he wasn't proud of it but he is glad he made the choide he did. He then apologises to Rhino for doubting him, and he now believes that there is something going on. They're not going to let that happen though. They call out Matt Morgan and Hernandez, a challenge which is very likely to be answered. Yup, here come the big boys. Ray calls them the golden boys of TNA and mocks them, including calling Hernandez an uneducated Mexican with no green card. Oooooh snap. Hernandez says everything he and Morgan have, they took. And they took it because they can. Ray says they challenged Morgan and Hernandez to a 6-man street fight for the PPV, and wants to know if they have a partner. Morgan says they don't need one, and they accept as a 3-on-2. The Pope's music hits and he wants him some of that. So there's your match boys and girls.
Lauren is with The British Invasion. Lauren mentions that if Beer Money can beat them tonight, they will get a spot in the tag title match on Sunday. Magnus is pissed that their suspension was reduced so they could wrestle tonight. Williams concurs. Eric Young makes standard threats before telling Hogan that they have no problem with him. In fact he was a huge Hogan fan...when he was 3.
JB is with AJ. AJ apologises to Daniels for accusing him of being the attacker. He thinks maybe Daniels is jealous of the title. He talks about Joe's head games too.
Beer Money vs. The British Invasion
Ahhh, the boozer cruiser. Good times.
Roode and Williams to start. Roode with a pair of clotheslines and a back drop followed by knocking both men to the floor. Williams tries to flee but Magnus points out that if they do that, Beer Money gets a shot at the title. Williams runs back to the ring and gets taken down with a drop toehold. Tag to Storm, we see Big Rob with a chair and Magnus sending him backstage. While that's happening Roode tags back in and promptly gets tripped by Magnus on the foor. Flying European uppercut by Williams. Tag to Magnus who stomps on Roode then tags in Williams. Double-team necktie by the Invasion and Williams applies a chinlock. Roode fights out but gets his hair yanked to stop that plan in a hurry. Tag to Magnus but Roode kicks a charging Williams and elbows a charging Magnus. Roode hits a double missile dropkick and tags Storm! He hits a neckbreaker on Magnus and a bulldog on Williams, then elevates a charging Magnus up anjd over to the apron. Rope-assisted elevated DDT! Roode comes in and they connect with the double-team suplex. BEER! MONEY! They hit the Edge-o-Matic/clothesline combo! 1...2...no. Magnus has a chair passed to him and wants to use it, but Williams stops him! DWI! 1...2...3!
Winners: Beer Money (Storm on Magnus, DWI) Rating: **¼
JB is with Morgan, Hernandez and The Pope. Morgan and Hernandez are arguinig over whose ideas it was to bring in Dinero. Morgan says he's been around the block and he has no reason to trust a street pimp. Pope says when he gives his word, it's golden. Suuuure.
Lauren is with Daniels. Daniels says he and AJ are still friends, but once the bell rings that doesn't count. He says that he'd be champ right now if he'd had the support that AJ's been given. He's also too smart to buy into anything. Ah, but did he stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night?
Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles
If this had more than the 5 remaining minutes it would be good. Joe starts by running away from AJ but it doesn't last as they get back in the ring and AJ nails his swank dropkick. Joe fights back with shots in the corner followed by The Facewash. Powerbomb by Joe, he gets 2 then turns it inro an STF! Transitioned inrto a crossface by Joe, and Styles makes the rop. Jabs now by Joe in the corner but AJ ducks the big blow and fights back with some big shots. Whip reversed, AJ gets an elbow up but gets maradued by a huge clothesline. Powerbomb attempt by Joe but Styles comes out the back and hits a back leg kick, then tries the Styles Clash! Joe gets a back body drop to escape. AJ ducks the clothesline and hits the Pele! AJ goes up top but Daniels is out! He distracts AJ long enough to allow Joe to recover and grab the Kokina Klutch. Good night!
How many random heel/face turns can there be in one month? Angle, Team 3d, The Pope, and Foley to name a few.
Good to see the MCMG's get their time in though. Remember this great team everyone loves and this youth movement in TNA right now?

I heard more about their Black Friday sale than their PPV on Sunday. I guess another 7,000 PPV buys is coming for TNA. Not like going nearly 3/4 the way through the show with zero mention of the 'hyped' main event.
Posted By: PPV ON SUNDAY? (Guest) on November 12, 2009 at 11:22 PM
Somebody tell me about those match lengths. This is from the company that promotes 'wrestling', while WWE promotes 'entertainment'.
Super Dave: "Donate this match to Mick Foley." Classic. To think TNA has almost two weeks to edit this trash.
Posted By: Industry (Guest) on November 12, 2009 at 11:23 PM
steiner and lashley cant act, so dont put them in that situation to.
aj styles is still proving nothing as a character, cant wait til tomko costs him the strap on sunday.

A Guest Host? How Original TNA!!
2 minute match with Raven returning. WOW-yet another step backwards.
Speaking of, Sting/Hogan promo for next week, not a PPV on Sunday.
Knockouts then get 2 minutes, and yep another 2 minute match with Neidhart winning over Lethal in 2009.
Posted By: Momentum Lost (Guest) on November 12, 2009 at 11:24 PM
Amazingly long matches tonight. I think we got a 5 mintue one in there.
Posted By: Propagndia (Guest) on November 12, 2009 at 11:24 PM
I am pretty sure that Russo is still booking this. Ridiculous show, plus where is Hogan at? Oh yeah, at the bank cashing his TNA checks.
Posted By: Kevin (Guest) on November 12, 2009 at 11:25 PM
How is this Styles/Daniels/Joe two. Lauren said that it was on Impact, although I clearly remember them having the same match at Against All Odds 2006 and Destination X 2006 in an Ultimate X match.
Posted By: Guest#7670 (Guest) on November 12, 2009 at 11:27 PM
Brother Ray to Hernandez: "you're just an uneducated Mexican without a green card"
Wow, how sad
Posted By: Bill (Guest) on November 12, 2009 at 11:28 PM
Why did Anvil win a match against Lethal?
Posted By: dogpound7382 (Guest) on November 12, 2009 at 11:59 PM
Super Dave acted awfully like a "Guest Host"
Posted By: R Truth (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 12:01 AM
I see the WWE fans all watched the show tonight.
Yeah Super Dave as a guess was not all that original but at least he is employed by the same netowrk Impact airs on, and he was better than any of the RAW hosts other than maybe Shaq and Bob Barker. When he called Shiek "ass wipe" and it wasn't editted was pretty awesome.
And any night the beautiful People are on my TV is a good night, and I am glad tehy took my advice and teamed them up with Kong. Hopefully that wasn't a one time thing, and by the looks of Lacey in the ring it probably won't be.
All these so called turns are probably for a very good reason. Don't be surprised if there is already another show somewhere getting worked out and half these guys go to that one.
Also pretty ironic thatthe "hart foundation" appeared on WWE superstars tonight, and the original member of the real hart foundation was on TNT, and he looked decent and won. So while TNA might be ripping off some of WWEs gimmicks they are actually presenting them in a better way. So it isn't so bad.
But in depth the show is what it is, a show 5 days before a PPV. Setting that up alittle but not really talking about it. I could do with less Angle/Wolf but at least they aren't officially in matches and just slapping each other around outside the ring. I just hope Angle doesn't completely bury Nigel at the pPV because that would basically make a total sham out of their first three meetings where Angle has looked like a bitch. Having him walk away would have been better tonight I think. Especially if they plan on letting him win at the PPV.
Not liking Beer Money in that tag team match now. I was hoping British Invasion won, but in a not too obvious 'questionable' way. But now I have a feeling MCMG wins because it is the perfect swerve especially since it has been set up for BM with the late add.
Joe, Styles, and Daniels is going to disappoint I am afraid. Way too much drama tryingot build it up instead of just letting it happen. Maybe someone is hurt or they don'tthink they can live up to the hype. But I don't like what I have seen the past month. Maybe Tomko comes in after Styles wins and destroys everyone in the ring.
But the PPv is an almost must buy because there is so much outside stuff that could possibly happen. We know Hogan will make an appearance, not sure in what way yet. But he will definately be setting the stage for the future. Bischoff...who knows? Tomko? More than likely. Raven? Maybe. Sting? Doubtful but possible I suppose. TNA has an opurtunity to really make a statement in a "throw away" PPV. And sell that as 'the way it will be in the future'.
If they put on a horrid show and dont set up any storylines then the Hogan signing will be a fail, and not for the reasons most people think.
Posted By: Rich (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 12:15 AM
FYI - TNA has not advertised "We Are Wrestling" for over a year now. TNA "Cross The Line" is the advertisement. Unless you want to measure the lines that are crossed throughout the show, measuring anything else is useless.
Posted By: JF (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 12:21 AM
Great show tonight. I was thoroughly entertained. It does look like they are trying a lot harder now that they think they can do something. RAW could never come close to the greatness of Impact.
Posted By: panik (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 12:44 AM
I loved Eric Young's comment on the mic tonight: Hulk Hogan, we got no problem with you. In fact I was a huge fan growing up...........when I was 3!!!!!!!!!!
Posted By: guest (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 12:53 AM
I heard Neidhart was in TNA last week and thought it was a joke (a la RVD, Paul Roma,...)
Then i read this recap and did a spit take. now i need a new monitor.

Lol a guest host on WWE yea that's where it all started right kid?
Wow if Raven had more airtime you'd still B*tch
Sting promo will be next week retard.
If TBP had more airtime you'd still b*tch.
Neidhart was stupid indeed.

Posted By: Guest#7670 (Guest) on November 12, 2009 at 11:27 PM
Only logic (lol) behind it that I can think of is that it is the second MAIN EVENT. However it would make more sense to hype it as four considering AJ won the first one, Joe won the rematch, then Daniels won the Ultimate X.
Posted By: JP (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 02:28 AM
I might accept, as a viewer, the fact they wanna promote all the PPV matches so no match is booked to last 20 minutes, but every Impact should have at least a really nice 10-15 minutes match, at least give the illusion of a long match, when AJ and Joe start their match and you know the show's gonna end in like 5 minutes, now that's not too exciting...
Posted By: Max (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 04:19 AM
another great episode of impact, I did not like the whole super dave thing and putting so much coverage time with sting and hogan but the rest of the show was terrific.desmond wolfe just keeps getting better and better! he looks like a real threat to kurt angle and that's quite an impressive feat. Team 3d's turn while it is sudden makes alot of sense as it gives a great new way to build up the young stars and I am loving the popes character! Hell I'm even interested in the whole raven,dr stevie, abyss, mick foley thing it looks to be shaping up well.
then we have world elite with the awesome mouthpiece thta is eric young and the british invasion tag teaming against beer money....AND an awesome x division 3 way tag match AND AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe!
and you people complain about this impact? you all need to get your heads examined or better yet out of vince's ass because this Impact has blown away the past 2o Raws combined and this is coming from someone who has watched wrestling since 93 and was a fan of both feds
TNA is on a hot streak and if hogan can bring attention then they could explode into a real threat for the E and quite frankly you should all hope that's exactly what happens because that means better better wrestling entertainent for everyone
Wrestling is not gonan last forever if vince is the only real competitor,Dixie is right to step it up and take a chance.
Posted By: Son_michael (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 04:30 AM
LMAO so they can't think of anything for Traci, but are seemingly going with a disability angle. If she has a birth defect and it's acknowledged on screen then why the fuck did Tenay and Taz say Alissa Flash went too far?? When things like that are mentioned, of course opponents are going to taking adavantage of it.
Posted By: Guest#6990 (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 05:23 AM
steiner - lashley stuff i liked. and homicide stealing random pictures from foleys table was great. but the chicks keep dissapoint every fucking week.
Posted By: tully (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 05:54 AM
OK match lengths are getting ridiculous now. Either cut the number of matches on each show, or cut down on the backstage crap. Dixie Carter is so short sighted. With a product like this, it will NEVER be viable competition.
And watching Lazy Von Erich embarrassing. She's worse than Rhaka Khan. Just cut her in the next few months. Hopefuly by then Angelina Love would have sorted out her visa problems and she can come back.
And I don't have a problem with legends occasionally coming on, but Neidhart looked horrendous. His weight is just out of control!
The main event programme's build is just weak, making the champ look like garbage.
Good one TNA, just when I was starting to have faith in you. Dixie Carter is a useless airhead who has no idea of this business.
Posted By: Guest#1441 (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 05:57 AM
Raven returning to TNA is awesome. Cause he is technically a "TNA" Original being with TNA since 2003/ And he can still go. Just watch his slamiversary match. Raven still has It
Posted By: RVDFAN420 (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 06:33 AM
You missed the best line of tonight. Brutus Magnus - "It's skullduggery - and I'll have none of it!" Yeah, it was pretty cliche British talk, but he delivered it nicely.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I really enjoyed this show for the most part. I thought Super Dave worked well, the X-division match, Wolfe/Angle and Team 3D segments were all really good. I don't at all care for the Steiner/Lashley stuff, but that's just me.
As for Lethal - the only thing that makes sense to me is if the plan is for him to keep losing these matches and eventually abandon the "Black Machismo" gimmick for something more "serious". Let's face it, he's a great impersonator, but you can only go so far by mimicking another wrestler. That's the only way jobbing him out to Anvil makes any sense.
Posted By: D-money (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 06:33 AM
"Also pretty ironic thatthe "hart foundation" appeared on WWE superstars tonight, and the original member of the real hart foundation was on TNT, and he looked decent and won."
You must have been watching WWE 24/7 and not this match. The Anvil was pathetically slow and out of shape. After all of the X-Division matches Lethal has been in, I can't believe he was able to work slow enough to make Neidhart look passable. Lethal should have run rings around him, confused him and won. Instead they have a retired guy, who isn't sticking around (I hope) go over one of their more exicting talents.
God this was a bad show. It was Raw bad, and that is really sad.
Posted By: mogamer (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 08:35 AM
Neidhart won the match? Only in TNA folks.
How sad.
Posted By: Peep #5294 (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 08:43 AM
Neidhart over Jay Lethal. AWFUL. Simply AWFUL.
How many times has Raven returned? How many times has anyone cared?
The rest of the show was somewhat decent. The Wolf/Angle feud has been pretty interesting. The Team 3-D/Rhyno vs Morgan and Hernandez is also pretty decent.
Posted By: Jake Fury (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 08:48 AM
The Traci "birth defect" is legit. She had Erb's Palsy as an infant.
I'm surprised they haven't mentioned/used it before. Not sure where they'll go with it though.
Posted By: Randy M. (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 09:24 AM
God this show needs Hogan.
Posted By: Propagandhi (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 09:44 AM
Mostly short, crap matches, but there were some interesting things here and there.
I actually like the realism of the camera crew following Bobby Lashley in another car as he headed to the hotel to face Scott Steiner. This is what I wish WWE would do instead of using the magic camera all the time. It works better and calls less attention to itself.
I was about to shit on the Angle/Wolfe segment when Wolfe's pre-taped promo replayed, but I liked Angle's realization that it was a trap, and the resulting brawl with the promo looping in the background is something that I've never seen before, and wouldn't have thought it would work, but it actually did, quite well. Who'd have thunk it.
Also, Alyssa Flash should wear those blue shorts any time she's on camera. Any. Time.
Posted By: BJC (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 09:48 AM
Rich, it's good to read a comment from a fan with true perspective. It's pathetic to hear all of these WWE fans cry and moan because their boytoy Cena or Undertaker isn't on this show.
While I do think TNA needs to do a better job of production on their shows, they did a great job of selling the PPV.
I do hope that Bischoff can come in here and get TNA a second show, because it's hard to put a lot of wrestling when all you have is 2 hours a week to promote a PPV.
Posted By: JR (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 09:56 AM
Are these people serious?!? Jim The anvil Niedhart and Hulk Hogan are in TNA?!? Wow ultimate LOW, as in desperate at getting a fat paycheck! Hogan and Neidhart need to give it a rest already. We all know why hogan needs money because that bitch cleaned him out.
Posted By: Guest#3781 (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 10:07 AM
Sometimes, it's hard to remember why I became a wrestling fan. Then, I see Raven cut a promo. And it all comes back to me.
I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a HUGE, HUGE Raven mark. He got me hooked in professional wrestling when he was in WCW, and I've followed his trail since, and also looked up his ECW history.
Not that I personally relate with the character or anything, but he's the best promo in TNA when he's on his game like he was at Impact.
Oh, and Daffney is STUPID hot.
Posted By: BDL (Guest) on November 13, 2009 at 10:22 AM
I don't know what the better line was. Wolfe calling Kurt "Mangled", or Steiner telling Lashley to look at his kid, cuz he has steiners eyes.
Posted By: Todd Vote (Registered) on November 13, 2009 at 11:31 AM
Good god Lacey von Erich is awful. Obviously talent ain't hereditary. How long until she gets fired and we get our queen Aneglina Love back?
Anvil looked old and fat. Why job out Lethal to him of all people?
Wish there was more build to the main event. Everyone nvolved in the 3 way deserves it.
A little intrigued to finally see Rvane and Mick Foley go at it in (presumably) a hardcore match of some sort, even though Rvane looks old and past his prime. Hope they'll build toa Foley/Hogan match, which they seemed to subtly be hinting at,. It's one of the few dream matches left that hasn't been done.
Finally, with AMW, we get intelligent faces who outsmart the heels for once.
Nice that they elevated Pope and moved him into a match. Could be that whole "shades of grey dissident" deal. Burke only gets better on the mic as the weeks go by.
The Super Dave plug got aggrevating. Why couldn't we have Marty Funkhouser instead?
Kind of a meh shopw tonight, and a step down from the hot streak they seemed to be on.

That Knockouts tag match was fine but each time Lacey Von Erich got involved she just dragged the whole thing down. She looks like she's *just* started her training in wrestling. WWE gets the talented 3rd gen female in Natalya Neidhart, but TNA have to replace one of the best female performers with a complete dud.
At least Alissa Flash (those blue shorts FTW!) won her match.

I don't think Lacey is THAT bad. For some reason, her part in the 8 woman tag match reminded me ALOT of Kevin Nash. The way she powered Sarita into the corner and missed the clothesline/elbow because Sarita is a lot faster then her was totally Kev. I guess her wrestling style will be an selective taste. I happen to like the big man style. Lacey does have a height advantage on a lo of the knockouts.. lol

Alyssa Flash > TBP...
DEAR GOD I am so glad they got her outta her burka with Kong. That woman is HOT.

If anyone still doesn't understand why we hate TNA...FIVE MINUTES for Joe vs AJ????

No matter how hard TBP try it's just useless without Love.

Oh, and Daffney is STUPID hot.

Zombie Hot, Stupid Hot, the woman just oozes hotness.

Regardless what I thought of the show, I think it speaks volumes that this was the first I heard of the pay per view this Sunday. Not a good sign

I wish i hated something enough to take a couple hours of my nights to watch it. Silly kids.
Lacey trying to hug Kong and being pulled away by Sky was kinda cute.
Pope is always a highlight for me. Halleluyer.
The Wolff/Angle segment was pretty nice. I dug the looped promo in the background, especially after Wolff got the upper hand. I'm anxious to see what happens on Sunday, but so far it's been on of the better set up feuds in recent TNA history.
I'm guessing Joe walks out with the TNA belt on Sunday. I can't see them putting it on Daniels for some reason, despite being a huge Daniels fan. Maybe Joe will win and Hogan will come down and beat him, ala Wrestlemania 9 with Yoko. Hahaha, fat jokes.
Seriously, though. I like Joe. I'm really glad he ditched the goofy warpaint, too.

Seriously TNA? SERIOUSLY!

Bringing an obvious out of shape Anvil was like WWE bringing in an obvious out of shape Vader a few years back. I am all for bringing back legends, I love it actually. But if they are to actually wrestle, they should be in wrestling shape, like Steamboat for instance. For any version of the Anvil to lose to Lethal in 2009 is terrible, but that version of Anvil especially. When Vader showed up, he was so out of shape that he literally fell over. Piper, I will give a slight pass because I am his no.1 fan afterall, but even watching him forced to wrestle with a shirt on (without a shock proof vest underneath) is just sad, even for me. Snuka, don't get me started. As far as this Hogan thing goes, everything I needed to know was answered when he said he wanted to bring the Nasty Boys in. The Nasty Boys? Am I gonna have the joy of watching The Nasty Boys vs Team 3D? The Motor City Machine Guns recieving a pit stop in 2009/10, can't wait!

Yeah I agree with the posts about getting Angelina back. I mean seriously she was one of the best talkers in the company, male or female and entertaining as hell. The Beautiful People have just downgraded completely. I'll give Velvet and Madison credit for trying their hardest to salvage what's left. But this Lacey chick DAMN she is just awful. She looks like she's only just began her training. The whole feel of the group is dead to me now. Their heart and soul (Angelina Love) is just gone now.

I like Jay losing to Neidhart. It's going to be that way for a few weeks - losing to fat old slobs and then, as someone said, ditching the Macho Man thing.
Jobbing to Neidhart means nothing for Lethal. It would for AJ, of course, but it's a comedy result for a comedy storyline so who gives a flying shit? Apart from most of the IWC?

This was the worst episode of Impact I've ever seen. If this continues I'm boycotting the company forever.
Nothing made sense at all. Traci has a birth defect? A US citizen gets insulted for not having a green card? Taz says it's 'normal' that a latino guy is stealing stuff? Seriously, WTF?
Why is TNA having guest hosts? If I want to watch Raw, I'll watch Raw. I watch Impact because it's an alternative, but if they're so desperate to be a carbon copy of the 'E then there's no reason to watch, is there? That guest host was worse than the worst guest host that Raw has ever had, and the whole show suffered as a result. Also, telling the X-division contestants to 'kill themselves'? Poor choice of words.
Why the hell did Jim Neidhart win? He's fatter than an elephant and botched a simple clothesline. FFS, even Snoop Dogg can do a clothesline!
Three days from a PPV and they barely even mentioned it. They devoted about an hour to Hogan, but couldn't even set aside one minute to run down the card? Pathetic.
Imagine how bad it will be when Hogan comes in...

Wooo!, I was cheering for Neidhart!!
Destroyed that no name jay lethal.

1. Raven is the reason I became a wrestling fan. He is welcome on any wrestling show at any time. Ever. Amazing at what he does. And the idea of him against Foley is strangely intriguing, and dare I say high profile for Raven (at least since his title win during the TNA TV blackout). Also, Daffney IS stupid hot.
2. Super Dave has the single most disgusting voice I've ever heard. And nothing particularly interesting to say. Please never let him on my TV again. Ever.
3. Lacey stinks in the ring, but at least she's got a mildly entertaining character. As opposed to Sky and Rayne's mean-spirited witches, she's innocent and gullible, (enjoying a kiss from the ref a few weeks back, attempting to congratulate Kong after their match). It's even more amusing in contrast to her being the "muscle" of TBP.
4. Tazz saying "tea bag" on air and then the announcers being weird about it was hilarious.
5. Daniels totally deserves a title run in the next year. Shame it probably won't come close to happening aside from this Sunday.

Could you try to be less of a dick when recapping TNA? Keep your personal feelings to yourself because no one actually cares about your opinion on things. Just report the fact and quit being a typical IWC geek.
