Its the return of the Abraham Washington Show to FCW as well as both the Queen of FCW crown and the FCW Tag Team titles are up for grabs in this exciting episode of FCW. Also a little cameo from the son of a WWE Legend! Guess who it is....no its not the son of the Brooklyn Brawler...though that would be HILARIOUS. Just click on the link below and find out!
Last Week on FCW: Kaval survived a grueling Fatal Four Way match to become the NEW #1 Contender to the FCW Title. Curt Hawkins got a new teammate in his quest for the FCW Tag Title Gold while one half of the FCW Tag Team champion, Brett DiBiase lost in singles competition to Vance Archer which sets up today's Tag Team Title Main Event!
Tonight commentators "the American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and Bryon Saxton hype up the return of Abraham Washington and the Main Event Tag team title match between the Fortunate Sons and the team of Vance Archer and Alex Riley.
MATCH 1: Curt Hawkins Vs Ray L'eppan
Curt Hawkins comes out with the seven foot monster he introduced last week, Jackson Andrews, and cuts a rather generic promo. Ray L'eppan is debuting tonight and is from South Africa. He looks kinda like a younger Buff Bagwell…which could be good or bad. Hawkins and Andrews pulls a Nash/Michaels high five, and the match begins. Saxton comments that L'eppan competed back in his home country with fellow country man FCW champion Justin Gabriel. Oddly enough Saxton calls him by his NXT name Gabriel and not by his FCW name Angel.
L'eppan and Hawkins tieup and Hawkins slaps on a side headlock. L'eppan uses his muscles to power out of the headlock into a top wristlock, then into a sideheadlock of his own. Hawkins shoots L'eppan off the rope but gets easily knocked down by a shouldertackle from the South African. L'eppan goes to the ropes again. Hawkins tries to hiptoss L'eppan but is blocked and L'eppan turns it into an impressive monkey flip. Nice snap suplex from L'eppan only gets 2. L'eppan scoops Hawkins up into a bodyslam and then runs to the ropes, but Hawkins cuts L'eppan off by tripping him up and rolls out of the ring. Hawkins gets back in the ring and hits a snap suplex of his own…though L'eppan's was better. Cover only gets two. Hawkins snapmares L'eppan and slaps on a rear headlock. L'eppan gets the crowd behind him and powers out of the hold and throws Hawkins into the ropes to hit a flying forearm. L'eppan then tosses Hawkins into the corner following with a hard clothesline. Sitout powerbomb by L'eppan only gets two. L'eppan tries to hit Hawkins with a bicycle kick but misses, Hawkins with the boot and then hits the Laugh Riot (lifting DDT) and gets the pin???? Really what? Great way to start a promising career. That last sentence was not meant for the sarcastic impaired. And what was the point in having Jackson Andrews there? Just to stand around and look really tall? Whatever…
RESULT: Hawkins def L'eppan via Laugh Riot @ 3:00
We cut to the hot Courtney Taylor interviewing the returning Taryn Terrell (better known to the WWE universe as former ECW General Manager Tiffany). Tiffany states how much she enjoyed being GM of ECW but she missed competing in the ring. Sadly we did not…but I digress. This statement (Tiffany's not mine) brings out former Queen of FCW Serena Mancini, current Straight Edge Disciple Serena who doesn't like how prissy Tiffany has become and challenges her to a match (oddly enough it doesn't happen tonight). Tiffany retorts with a promo that actually puts Curtis Hawkins' earlier promo to shame.
MATCH 2: Johnny Curtis Vs (½ of the South Beach Boys) "Pretty" Percy Watson
Let me just say that I LOVE Percy Watson…this guy is pure entertainment and his ring entrance is HOT! While Watson gets into the ring, "the American Dream" and Saxton make plans to go clubbing. Imagine how surreal it would be to see Dusty Rhodes at a club making it rain. Hilarious. Meanwhile Johnny Curtis is a long time mainstay in FCW and former FCW tag team champion with Tyler Reks.
Watson and Curtis tieup with Watson slapping on a side headlock. Curtis throws Watson into the ropes and then knocks him down with a shoulder tackle. Curtis goes to the ropes, Watson hits a leap frog and then a no look leap frog into a jumping sidekick. Watson covers Curtis but only gets a 1. While all this is going on the "American Dream" is having a tongue twister trying to say Pretty Percy which gets dangerously X-rated if ya know what Im saying. Back to the action, Percy goes after Curtis in the corner but gets kicked and then Curtis kicks the arm of Percy while he was leaning against the ropes. Curtis shouldertackles the stunned Watson for 2. Curtis then wrenches back Watson's arm and slams it against the mat. Saxton mentions that due to Watson's SBB tag team partner NXT Darren Young going off to NXT, Watson may be stuck as a singles player (NO!!!!!). Curtis works the arm of Watson and applies a modified hammerlock until the crowd gets behind Watson in a "tinkerbell" clap rally. While this is going on Professor Dream decides to use a BIG word Excruciating…which actually comes out more like EXCRETATING…which is hilarious. Watson gets out of the hammerlock, goes to the ropes and sunsetflips over Curtis but cant pull him down. Curtis tries to drop a knee onto the hurt arm of Watson, but misses. Watson lights up Curtis with some forearm shivers then tries to shoot him into the ropes but Curtis counters with a short arm clothesline.
Suddenly out of nowhere the other 7 foot monster (where do they find these guys?) of FCW, Eli Cottonwood in a very unflattering turtleneck, comes out on the mic and responds back to Curtis' weird stalkerish promo last week to FCW diva Aksana. This of course distracts Curtis, which of course leads to Watson rolling up Curtis for the win. Too short of a match to really rate but storyline wise I guess it builds up the feud between Curtis and Cottonwood.
RESULT: Percy Watson def Johnny Curtis via roll up @ 3:33
Curtis throws a fit in the ring, Watson dances outside while Cottonwood laughs idiotically in his turtleneck….
Quick one minute promo by G-Rilla…who looks intimidating, sounds intimidating but really can you take a guy named G-Rilla seriously?
Back to the show, the before mentioned obsession of Johnny Curtis, Aksana is in the ring to introduce the return of Abraham Washington. Aksana even supplies Washington with an annoying laugh track ala Tony Atlas but her's sounds like nails on a chalkboard. As Washington starts his promo, Aksana continues to laugh at odd times just showing that her grasp of the English language is lacking. It would be funny if her laugh wasn't so annoying. Washington lays some jabs at FCW Commissioner Norman Smiley before introducing from South KOREA FCW champion and NXT rookie Justin Gabriel. Gabriel enters the show and Washington asks him how Kim Jong Il is doing which Aksana actually laughs on cue for. Gabriel almost sounds heelish when he grabs the mic and reminds Washington…now politely….that he's from South AFRICA. Gabriel then goes on to ask Washington what happened to his set. Now that the show is in FCW, there is no couch and only one mic. Washington retorts by calling Gabriel, Justin Mandella which Aksana again laughs at (making me want to rip my ears off) and then focuses on Gabriel's title situation. Gabriel states he's ready to defend it against the number 1 contender whenever that may be. Which of course brings out the NEW #1 contender Kaval/Low Ki/Senshi. Washington comments that Kaval looks a lot like Serena, which is almost pretty much an act of suicide as Kaval could easily punt him from anywhere. Yet Kaval remains civil and plainly states that in seven days he will be taking Gabriel's title. But before Gabriel can respond, in comes fellow NXT rookie Wade Barrett. Barrett reminds everyone that he was paid a lot of money to end Gabriel's career and that he intends to do that by pushing Kaval out of the way. That allows Gabriel to kick Barrett in the leg and then Kaval to kick him in the chest which then leads to stereo dropkicks on the Brit. Barrett rolls out of the ring and Gabriel makes the BIG mistake of turning his back on Kaval who hits him with a John Woo dropkick (DAMN!!!!!). Kaval picks up the FCW title and then throws it on top of the downed champion. Wow the last 3 minutes just saved that WHOLE segment.
MATCH 3: Queen of FCW title match: Champion- AJ Lee Vs Challenger- Naomi Night
The two divas tie up and Night slams Lee to the mat. Night gloats over Lee which causes the Queen of FCW to chase after Night and then kick her down. Lee grabs Night in a side headlock takedown which Night counters with a headscissors. Lee pulls a beautiful bridge to get out of the head scissors and then rolls Night up in a La Majistral for only 1. Miscommunication stalls the action before Night throws Lee into the turnbuckle. Night spears Lee into the turnbuckle but Lee fights back by slapping Night on the back and then using the turnbuckle to assist her in hitting a sunset flip and cover for 2. Night charges Lee and gets arm dragged for her efforts. Lee slaps on an standing armbar but Night elbows out of it and tosses Lee to the ropes. Lee comes off the ropes and hits a nice hurricarana. Night rolls out of the ring for a breather but Lee hits a baseball slide and then rolls Night back into the ring. Lee charges at Night but gets caught in a swinging back breaker. Cover but only 2. Night slaps on a rear headlock and then using Lee's hair to slam the back of her head to the mat. Night covers but again only 2. Night throws Lee into the corner, charges but ends up driving her own head into the top turnbuckle. Lee tries to do MAYBE a Shining Wizard, or at least that's what Saxton calls it…it looked more like a bicycle kick. Funny moment is Rhodes going "Is that what that's called?" Oh Dusty…you slay me. Flying clothesline by Lee followed by a rear seated dropkick. Lee then back spin kicks Night in the gut but can only get a 2 count. Night hits a pretty nice looking Enzigiri but decides not to cover Lee. Lee is able to recover, kicks Night in the head and then hits the Asai DDT (standing Slicebread/shiranui) for the win. Much better effort this time around by Lee though she still has some timing problems.
RESULT: AJ Lee def Naomi Night via Asai DDT @ 4:38 to retain the Queen of FCW crown.
NICE a promo of Richie Steamboat…THE SON OF RICKY THE FN DRAGON STEAMBOAT. My wrestling mark meter just went CRAZY!!!!!!! Hopefully he can wrestle as well as his dad.
MAIN EVENT: FCW Tag Team Title Match: Champions: Fortunate Sons (Brett DiBiase and Joe Henning) Vs Vance Archer and Alex Riley
This match stems from last week when Archer defeated DiBiase in singles competition. Of course the Fortunate Sons are third generation wrestlers sons of "the Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and "Mr.Perfect" Curt Henning, respectively. Vance Archer is the former TNA Lance Hoyt and Alex Riley is a FCW regular.
Archer starts with Henning, who gets blindsided by Archer and then pummeled in his teams corner. Riley tags in and continues the beat down on Henning. Riley tries to avalanche Henning in the corner but misses and then gets larieted to the back of the head by Henning. Henning covers but barely gets a 1. Henning throws Riley to the ropes but is reversed and comes off with a dropkick for 2. Henning tosses Riley into his teams corner, tags in partner DiBiase who goes up to the top and comes down onto the exposed arm of Riley with a footstomp. DiBiase arm wrings the hurt arm, fireman carrys Riley and covers but only gets 1. DiBiase tags in Henning who lariets Riley down for a 2 count. Henning works the arm and goes for a nice northern light suplex but can only get a 2 count. Henning tags DiBiase back in who continues to work the arm until Riley punches DiBiase in the face. DiBiase though is able to fight back and hits Riley with an arm drag and tags in Henning. The Fortunate Sons shoot Riley to the ropes double boot to the gut. Henning comes off the ropes with a knee lifter with DiBiase finishing the combo with a neckbreaker. Henning covers but only gets 2. We go to commercial.
We come back and Henning is still working on Riley's arm until Riley is able to muscle him into his teams corner. Archer tags himself in and starts to beat down Henning. Archer tosses Henning into the corner and then goes for something that ends up becoming a weird shoulder tackle. Someone missed their spot. Archer tosses Henning into the opposite corner, charges and there we go, Henning hits Archer with an elbow (that's what was missing). Henning goes to the top but Riley distracts him, allowing Archer to toss Henning off the top onto the mat. Archer hits a flapjack on Henning but can only get 2. Archer is now working on Henning's stomach and tosses Henning front first into the corner. Archer follows that with a legdrop aimed for Hennings gut. Cover only gets 2. Archer continues to beat down on Henning's stomach. Henning tries to fight back by hitting a dropkick but Archer moves out of the way and Henning lands on his stomach. Good ring psychology. Archer drops another legdrop. Cover only gets 2 and Archer tags in Riley. Riley hits a front faceslam but only gets 2. Frustrated Riley slaps on a body scissors and of course the crowd gets into clapping rally until Henning elbows his way out of the hold. Henning ties to reach his partner but Riley cuts him off and hits another front faceslam. Riley tags in Archer who then steps on the gut of Henning. Lots of stomping by Archer which kinda make him look like he's just killing time. Henning makes another effort to tag in his partner but Archer prevents it. Archer goes to remove the top turnbuckle pad off one of the corners which of course allows Henning to fight back and catch Archer with a flying snapmare before tagging in DiBiase who's a house on fire!!! DiBiase dropkicks Archer multiple times before covering him for 2. Archer tries to clothesline DiBiase but he ducks and hits a springboard cross bodyblock but the cover is broken up by Riley. Henning clothesline both himself and Riley (well almost, it took a while for Riley to fall out of the ring) out of the ring. Elsewhere DiBiase tries to avalanche Archer in the corner but ends up hitting that exposed turnbuckle post. Archer tries to go for the reverse impaler DDT but DiBiase rolls him up in a small package and gets the win. Pretty decent match…not great but entertaining none the less.
RESULT: The Fortunate Sons def Vance Archer and Alex Riley when DiBiase pinned Archer via small package @ 11:47
The show ends with the champs holding the belts and the commentating team advertising next weeks championship bout between Gabriel and Kaval.
The GOOD: The last three minutes of the Abraham Washington show which included a NICE SUWAish John Woo dropkick by Kaval his opponent next week, Gabriel.
The BAD: The first 5 minutes of the Abraham Washington show…lets just say it hasn't improved.
The UGLY: Aksana's laugh….if the US government still wants to torture people using sound, they got a new soundtrack.
As always guys you can catch FCW weekly on youtube. Thanks again to KinghillerX and ShowsHDTV.
I've seen Richie steamboat...and unless he gets a major "brad pitt" like makeover in the WWE, he is never going to make it. He's too Fugly and looks too much like Paul London and has a pretty bland body and workset.

I'm super impressed with Noami Night. She's been wrestling for maybe 6 months and although she's still very green, for a rookie she's very impressive and for wrestling for 6 months she's very good.Aj Lee is smoking hot and she will be a good future women's champ.

Naomi Night has the most annoying entrance theme out there. It seems like awful Diva entrance music also extends to the developmental ones.

What, boomer, he's not ugly, rotfl, and paul isn't either it's perceptions like the that they have to look like Brad Pitt in order to succeed is the reason why so many have image issues, but the sad part is that you're probably right

Was Richie Steamboat the son of the legend? Because G-Rilla is Dick Murdock's son actually and for a second I thought you meant him.
