-Taz and Tenay put over the effort of the guys, and discuss the rest of the card.

-Ric Flair's music hits and he is brought out in a wheel chair. He is not a happy camper, and says not to WOOO him. You should bow down to him instead. He is Ric Flair, 16 time world champion. And now look at him, this is not funny. He has fallen off of cages, slammed off of ladders, thrown through tables and crashed in an air plane, but has never been in a wheel chair. He came to TNA for action, and right now, he is not getting any. The people that are responsible for this are Hogan and Abyss. Tonight, the Abyss and Hogan pay the price for doing this to him. You respect him, Woooo!

-Abyss and Hogan are backstage. Hogan says Abyss has it all, and the power of the Abyss-a-maniacs are like nothing he ever saw. Abyss says when he put Flair through the ramp, it felt good, he feel the energy. Hulk says not to be afraid of the power. Hogan says the gold on his finger will allow him to have gold around his waist. Bischoff shows up with a hat on, due to the shaved head. Hogan says that Bischoff needs to not make things personal. Bischoff says he will be professional.

Shelley says they are glad Gen Me beat them, and they are glad. Gen Me has their Hardy Boyz starter kit, but tonight, they step into a match that was made for the Guns. Nothing will keep them from their destiny tonight.

Ultimate X Match (For A Shot At The TNA Tag Team Titles): The Motor City Machine Guns (Sabin and Shelley) vs. Generation Me (Max and Jeremy)
The big red X is hanging, which is what they will go for instead of a contract. Say a prayer that it doesn't fall. Generation Me is back to their 1997 Hardy Boyz tights.

-Jeremy Borash is with Waltman and Hall. Borash runs down the stips of the match, and Waltman laughs at him. Hall has the old school black and red on, and looks better than I though the would. Hall says that Nash and Young need to prove it, and tomorrow, they will be on Impact, with their high paid contracts. Waltman says they will go through anyone to get the contracts, their asses are grass, and they will smoke them!

Kevin Nash and Eric Young vs. Scott Hall and Sean Waltman (If Scott Hall and Sean Waltman win, they get TNA contracts)
Nice touch here as Waltman and Hall get no entrance music, I appreciate small things like that. Hall busts out the "HEY YO" for some old school goodness. Survey time. How many people want to see Pac and Hall with contracts? The crowd shits on them, one more for the bad guys. Ad here come Nash and EY.

Waltman and EY to kick things off. Lock up, to the corner and they work around the ropes. Rights by Waltman, EY back with rights of his own, side headlock now by Waltman. Off the ropes, shoulder block by Waltman, but a Thesz Press by EY, slams Waltman's head to the mat. Hall with a cheap shot, spin kick by Waltman gets 2. Tag to Hall, crotch chops by EY, and then Hall with the arm bar and shoulder rams. Paint brush shots by Hall, catches EY, Sack of shit slam by Hall and a tag back to Waltman. EY catches Waltman, and then crotches him onto the steel post. Hall over to help and clotheslines EY. EY rolls back in, tag to Hall, slaps to EY, off the ropes and a sleeper by Hall. EY escapes, gets a sleeper of his own now. Hall elbows out, and a back suplex allows him to escape and BOTH men are down. Tag to Nash, but the ref didn't see it. Waltman looks under the ring and yells WHERE THE FUCK IS IT? He grabs spray paint, and sprays EY in the FACE! They double team EY, the ref just stands there, tag to Nash. Powerbomb on EY, so surprised. Nash then rolls him to the corner, and tags him in. X-Factor by Waltman. Hall gets the Edge and they both pin EY.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Scott Hall and Sean Waltman @ 7:00 via pin
Rating: ½*

-They get spray paint and spray a body outline on the mat, ala a crime scene. The crowd chants same old shit. And the old school Wolfpack music plays.

-JB is with Kurt Angle. Angle holds up the bloody medal, and a picture of Anderson. He then lights it on fire. It's damn real.

TNA X-Division Title Match: Doug Williams © vs. Shannon Moore
EY's body outline is still in the ring.

Williams takes Moore to the ground right away a she wants to keep him grounded. Drop toehold now, side headlock follows and Moore escapes. Uppercuts by Williams, off the ropes and arm drags by Moore. Williams grabs something from under the ring, a brick perhaps, and then hits Moore with it. 1…2…3.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Doug Williams @ 6:00 via pin
Rating: **

-Moore is busted open as Williams says he never deserved the title shot. Williams mocks the acrobats that call themselves wrestlers, but he is what the X-Division should be, technical wrestling, hold and counter hold, catch as catch can! That is why he brings prestige to the title and the division. Moore belongs in the circus with the clowns. Williams wants to help with his makeup and grabs a purse from a lady at ringside. He then gives Moore a makeover. The crowd chants for RVD, but he isn't there.

TNA Tag Team Title Match: Matt Morgan and Hernandez © vs. Beer Money
Morgan and Roode to kick things off. Nope, Morgan tags in Hernandez right away. They argue a bit, and here we go, for sure, seriously. Lock up, to the corner they go and Hernandez with the clean break. Boot by Roode, rights follow. To the corner, boot by Roode and leaps off, caught by Hernandez and Roode counters the powerbomb. Morgan again yells at Hernandez, who gets to the top after a boot and gets crotched by Storm. Beer Money up top, BEER MONEY SUPERPLEX~! BEER! MONEY! Storm covers for 2. Storm with the headlock now, Hernandez escapes, to the corner and Storm gets the 8-second ride out of the corner for 2. Hernandez fights back, eye rake by Storm. Hernandez to the apron, shoulder block and then the slingshot shoulder block. Both men are down, Hernandez works for the tag, Morgan in and starts to clean house. The crowd goes mild. Corner splash onto Storm, knees by Roode, chops follow, but a clothesline by Morgan connects. Morgan tags in Hernandez, who then gets the HUGE dove onto Rood eon the floor! Morgan calls him dumb and rolls Hernandez back in. They argue again, Storm spits beer into Morgan's face, Mexican back breaker on Storm and the champs retain.

-After the match, Morgan delivers the carbon footprint to Hernandez. He poses with both titles.

Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson
Anderson is wearing a shirt that says "Pro Wrestling is real, people are fake."

The bell rings and they are so angry with each other after weeks of beat downs, that they lock up and Angle works a side headlock on the mat. Anderson works to his feet, to the corner and they separate. Lock up, and more of the same as Angle takes Anderson to the mat with the headlock. In the ring with the chair he goes, but then tosses it to the floor. He grabs the Army Medal and kisses it. Angle avoids the shot and KILLS Anderson with a release German! Angle has the medal, the ref is down, and he CARVES UP Anderson for revenge! Anderson is bleeding and Angle with wild rights to beat the hell out of Anderson. OFFICIAL RESULT: Kurt Angle @ 18:00 via submission
Rating: ***¼

-Anderson calls for him mic and tells Angle people are fake. You are not an American hero, or a real gold medallist. And you're not a real American. Anderson tried to have a "straight up match" with him, and Angle cheated to get the win. And now, while the people think that you will go and rest easy, Anderson knows that the only thing Angle will do is lay in bed, looking at the ceiling, and will only think "Anderson... Anderson… Anderson… Anderson… Anderson…"

-Christy Hemme is with AJ Styles. AJ says his strategy will be the same as it has been for months, win at all costs. He will also make Abyss pay for what he did to Ric Flair. AJ plans to hold the title at the end of the night, styling and profiling.

-JB is with Abyss. Abyss says AJ should be confident, but he doesn't understand that they are from different sides of the same coin. AJ has Flair, but he has the power of Hulkamania. Abyss says they are finally here, for the title, and when he is done, there will be nothing left of AJ. Whatcha gonna do, when Abyss-a-mania and the power of the Hulkamaniacs runs wild, and crazy on you?

TNA Title Match: AJ Styles © vs. Abyss
Flair is out in his wheelchair, along with Desmond's chick, Chelsea. JB does the super special ring announcing.

Abyss attacks during the announcements, and beats AJ down. Abyss has more red and yellow in his outfit, and slams AJ down. Chops by AJ, but Abyss says piss off and shoulder blocks AJ to the ramp. AJ chokes out Abyss in the ropes, AJ struts, and then charges and Abyss tosses him overhead. AJ gets abasement dropkick to the knee of Abyss, Abyss to the apron and another dropkick to the knee and Abyss falls to the floor. AJ then hits a picture perfect flip dive onto Abyss. Flair WOOO's from his wheel chair as AJ gets a chair. He wedges it into the corner, the ref tries to remove it and AJ then chokes out Abyss. Chops by AJ, AJ tries to slam Abyss, fails and Abyss tries to press slam AJ, drops him de to the knee, and AJ gets the Enziguri to drop Abyss to the mat. More chops by AJ in the corner, rights by Abyss, but AJ dropkicks the knee again. AJ wraps the nee in the ropes and cranks away at it, looking to tear apart the knee of Abyss. Hogan kicks Chelsea to the back and starts to wheel Flair to the back. They sing "Hey hey goodbye" for Flair. AJ gets the springboard 450 for 2! Abyss ABYSS'S UP! Chop by AJ, rights follow, YOU! Rights by Abyss, off the ropes, big boot and CHOKESLAM and AJ goes THROUGH the mat! Hebner rings the bell. No contest.

Hogan is out and hands Abyss the TNA Title, but Hebner takes it away. Flair wheels out to the ring, and Abyss GOOZLES him! He drags him in the ring, and Abyss falls into the hole in the ring. Nice. Hogan pepper sprays Flair. Desmond Wolfe hits the ring, Hogan and Abyss beat him down. Pepper spray (it didn't spray) to Wolfe. He falls into the hole. Flair falls into the hole.

OFFICIAL RESULT: No Contest (?) @ 15:00
Rating: ** (The finish killed it, in my opinion.)

-Hogan and Abyss pose for the crowd.

-The usual TNA PPV, some good matches, hard work by the usual suspects, but unfortunately some of the same bullshit that continually hold the shows back.

Dude Larry, you REALLY underrated the ladder match and UX match. The ladder match was ***3/4, and the ultimate X match was def. ****1/4

Tonight proved it. TNA is the #1 promotion in all of wrestling. A great ladder match, a great psychologically stimulating Ultimate X, shocking turns, an amazing womens match, incredible tag team wrestling, and a MOTYC main event. This company will overtake the WWE in no time.

Awful show with a terrible ending.

Posted By: Guest#5610 (Guest)  on March 21, 2010 at 11:04 PM

stick with the chokeslam through the matt throwing the match out. It tells a story of Abyss needing to learn how to control his newfound power and then leads to a rematch with a good gimmick. 10 count or cage or a special stipulation where you can win by KO.

Posted By: Guest#7878 (Guest)  on March 21, 2010 at 11:05 PM

I'm a major TNA supporter...But Even I can't justify that ending. Can we end the whole Abyss acts like a pussy 5 year old who believes in "magic rings" and "Hulkamania" shit!? Can't he just be "The Monster" and kick some ass again?

Posted By: Pat (Guest)  on March 21, 2010 at 11:05 PM

Thought you underrated the Ladder, KO, and UX matches a bit, personally. Yay for you doing reports though!

What a steaming pile of horse dung.

Just Great!!
AJ Styles is still the champ as the crowd goes apathetic.
Guess I can look forward to another month of promoting this guy in a ppv match, that no one cares about.
Put the fucking title on hogan all ready. This is fucking embarrassing.

As I said in the other post... this is the worst PPV I've ever seen... and I've been watching them since Wrestlemania 5. The crowd was dead the entire time. I don't have much hope for TNA's longevity.

terrible stuff, the whole abyss is hogan/aj is flair thing is just an embarrasment and it shows how little personality the top tna guys have. Push wolfe, push pope, wheres jeff, wheres rvd. Why should i care about the 4 guys in the opening match when non of them have a real personality other than doing cool spots, why should i care about rob terry, doug williams or shannon moore, why the fuck is the NWO back? who gives a shit? I gotta say though, they are going the right direction with Mr Anderson, and that ultimate X match while it was a no selling, trashy spotfest, it was pretty entertaining id give them that. This company needs a overhaul cus right now its failing big time.

Worst matches-Guns and 4 way stuntshows

It is just hard to watch these guys killing each other just for the cheap pop that they can't get wany other way since all of them are 'vanilla midgets'

Yawn on the opener....Kaz(zzzzzzz)

Women wrestling...next

Rob Terry won. Period. Wow.

Guns and Generation Me-needs more personality or I do not care, and needs more cowbell...

nWo version 400...thanks Russo

Williams beats one Moore with make-up and nobody runs in....okay...

Beer Money-complete afterthought and look! Another swerve-heel turn....

Angle Anderson-borefest, and why would Kurt be afraid all night over Anderson when he just kicked his ass?!?!?

AJ vs. Abyss just sums up TNA. Good god in heaven. I guess it really is WCW-WheelChair Wrestling. Hogan posing to close a PPV, beating up Styles, Flair, and Wolfe. Thanks again guys!

TNA! TNA! TNA! TNA!

Pretty poor show.

The ultimate x and ladder matches were decent, but they had the potential to be MOTY candidates.

The ending to the show sums up everything that is wrong with TNA.

Your an idiot. As a former Impact zone frequenter this main event shit is exactly why TNA wont touch WWE. Honestly if they let Abyss and AJ go at it, one on one, for 20 minutes then I would say yes, they are on their way. But watching that train wreck ending makes me long to watch real wrestling, which will be at Wrestlemania. I want my money back and I might actually write Dixie and ask for a refund

TNA out of business by September. AJ, Daniels, Kaz, MCMG, Beer Money etc, to be working in WWE by December.

the x division is everything this company is about right now, spot after spot, no rest for any drama or storytelling, no selling nothing thats been the staple of excellent wrestling classics for the past 3 decades, Thats why no one really reputable will ever give this 4 stars and above, cus whats the point of a match if no one cares whatts going to happen, just how many "holy shit" moments can you fit on a 12 min match

There is no justification for having a DQ/non finish to a PPV main event unless you have a fucking hot angle. Hogan and his mini-me v Flair and AJ aka Lil Naitch 2.0 is anything but a hot angle.

I still think TNA would be best off just pushing these kinds of guys rather than this huge mish mosh of "everything for everyone"...Im sure I could be wrong and just looking at it according to my own personal taste but all I know is that TNA got on 3 hour PPV and a TV deal through pushing the x division and I say dance with what got you there

I have to say that I am surprised (somehow) at the negativity. I guess I can understand if you don't like the XDivision style. If you have been watching WWE for the last umpteen years... you are right... it is totally different. We could be watching the same boring ass match with different faces.

I personally really enjoyed the PPV. The XDivision matches were great, Kurt / Anderson was good. Morgan turned into a very convincing heel, and ultimately, I thought the ending was an interesting visual.

Then again, when it boils down to it... you watch what you like and I will watch what I like. There is no reason for guys to be such total dick holes about it.

I know we as the iwc always say something is the worst ppv ever. This I must say is legitimately one of the worst things I have ever seen. 2 decent matches among a sea of flaming dog shit. There is no way to defend this type of crap. The hall, waltmen match had no place here. Guys I haven't seen sober in years have no place in the company. And what the hell happened to beer monkey? Wow. I was actually really enjoying this PPV until the final 5 minutes of it happened. There really wasn't anything too bad on here, and there was a lot of good. Just how do you fuck up a good PPV with one 5 minute segment. When does putting your opponent through the ring constitute a disqualification? Why did we need interference after the match? Who's idea was it to use mace? Why did everyone fall down the hole? Hogan needs to go. God, TNA was on a pretty good role until Hogan and Bischoff came in. Now they're either trying too hard or not even trying.

Posted By: Guest#1287 (Guest)  on March 21, 2010 at 11:47 PM

Please get the title off of AJ!!! He is destroying TNA of any credibility.

Posted By: Guest#5681 (Guest)  on March 21, 2010 at 11:47 PM

What the fuck are the people in charge thinking? How on earth could Dixie, Hulk, Bischoff, or Russo think this is acceptable TV/PPV?

Everything outside the X-Division was just terrible. I want TNA to succeed and want them to become a solid #2 (I would actually like them to become legit competition to WWE but that will never happen in this day and age. TNA should concentrate on being a profitable #2 promotion). As I wa saying, I want them to succeed but I thank god that two weeks ago was the final straw and I refuse to wthc them at all because of the shit like they just pulled tonight. TNA under the control of the combination of Hogan, Russo, Bischoff, and Dixie has got to go and its only been 3 months now.

If anyone shelled out money for this and feels cheated, I urge you to order Ring of Honor's internet PPV "The Big Bang" on April 3rd. You will not be disappointed I assure you.

2 months in a row now Angle has tried and failed to get anything more than a 3 star level match out of Anderson. If you have a lenghty PPV match with Kurt Angle or Shawn Michaels and they can't get an exciting match out of you then it's never gonna happen.

Posted By: Guest#7040 (Guest)  on March 21, 2010 at 11:51 PM

So they sign Jeff Hardy, RVD, and turn Sting Heel put don't put anyone of them in this PPV!? But they have time for X-Pac and Scott Hall?! C'mon TNA, you have one of the best rosters out there, use it!!!

Posted By: Joe (Guest)  on March 21, 2010 at 11:51 PM

I actually got the PPV and watched like a FAN... and if you watched it to just rail on it, you're a fucking moron.

The ladder match was a good opener, the woman's match wasn't horrible, but I don't like the whole spider thing.

The Band, I called the ending as Hall & X-Shawn were coming out. But marked like hell when I heard the Wolf-pac music.

The tag title match was good, but BM should have won. AJ/Abyss was ok...

The freaking Ultimate X match was AMAZING. The Guns and Gen Me could wrestle each week and it would never get old.

It was decent, and who in the hell would compare this to WM?!?!?!? You fucking trolls, WM is the oldest and most expensive game in town, of course this isn't going to compete... WM is like the Super Bowl, even if it's shit people watch because the event is bigger than what is happening..

Why would you have that shitty finish on PPV, especially going on last? If you want to run a crappy finish like that you do it on the weekly shows, or at the very least you do it 3 or so matches from the end of the card. Not on PPV on the last match of the night.

Why are Russo and Bischoff still booking? They're clueless.

A payperview event that screams why hulk hogan should be wearing the championship belt.
How many shitty buy rates do you have to have before you realize that no one cares about aj styles. Hulk only has about 5 or 6 good years in the ring left, why are you wasting time?

Remember when the 411mania comment sections were full of TNAndroids that were saying "ZOMG! Nigel joined TNA and is facing Angle! He would never get that in McMahonland! Danielson is gonna get burried!!!!11"

I don't know about you, but I'd rather be the centerpiece of the WWE's C-show than getting burried by a guy who openly admits he can barely move anymore.

Please release aj styles, so he can go to the WWE.
Vince would know how to use him. He could feud with Evan Bourne or Jack Swagger. Vince would allow him to be, where he should be on the card. Not fucking thinking he could be the damn WWE champion. Someone at TNA needs to get a clue. I'd rather watch mark henry in a bear suit, sitting in the middle of the ring eating eating honey with his hands. Than to see AJ do anything.

Worst ending to a PPV I've ever seen. And for a PPV that was supposed to highlight the X-Division, they sure did a good job of burying it, what with the Ladder match kicking off the show, the Ultimate X match being relegated to a midcard match, & the Williams/Moore match in which a former WWE jobber gets a title match for no reason other than he came from WWE.

I've tried to give TNA a chance, but they always seem to let me down in the end. It's a mess.

Also, the following people were MIA: RVD, Sting, Jeff Hardy, Pope, Joe, Beautiful People, & the usual suspects that get left off of TV on a regular basis. Especially mindboggling considering that Jeff Hardy MAIN EVENTED THE LAST EPISODE OF IMPACT, yet he didn't appear once on the PPV. Amazing.

seriously...the first time in years that i pay for a TNA PPV, and i am painfully reminded why i stopped in the first place.

although, it was indeed nice to see Anderson in a match longer than thirty seven seconds and not rupture a kidney. it is just unfortunate that Anderson is one of the worst wrestlers of the last decade...Gillberg notwithstanding.

This site's commentators are way too biased. So much shameless TNA hate.

Overall this was a good PPV. The main event finish was pure garbage, the Big Rob squash match was pointless, and the Wolfpac reuniting was a bit too predictable, but the X Division ladder match, the Ultimate X tag team match, and Angle vs Anderson were all great. Basically nothing out of the ordinary as far as TNA PPVs go.

I actually do want to see Hall and Waltman with contracts, and want to see them do well. It sounds like they've been through a lot of shit in their personal lives, and it would be nice to think that they're working a decent job and hopefully not doing anything stupid.

And reading your review of the main event, it just sounded like you were on some drugs that started kicking in more and more as the match progressed. "Then he sprayed the ref with pepper spray! Then he fell into a hole!"

So Abyss is like the new Dave "Evad" Sullivan? Only he has more superpowers and can create holes that will suck up his opponents if he throws them in there... I wonder if at Lockdown if he'll be able to make a hole by himself and have it suck up his opponent. After that, he can tell his opponents: "You can't see me!" or in the case of copyright... "You can't find me!"

Pretty solid PPV all around. You way underrated the women's match, which had great psychology.

Overall a good night. The main event finish was great, but the aftermath wasn't. Nobody has really done any big ring stunts in a while and TNA to my knowledge has never done one, so it came off as a big feel.

Unfortunately once Wolfe came out and got knocked into the hole, it sort of degraded into a parody.

Not like, the parody that WWE is every week, but still not really up to TNA's level of high quality. I give it a B- overall.

Some idiot on this section actually said he marked out for the Wolfpac reunion...and he wasn't even trolling.
What is wrong with you? You actually see any worth in Nash, Hall and Xpac doing the same schtick they did 10 years ago??
Fans like you are the reason why TNA is in the state it's in, why should Hogan or Bischoff actually try to improve when there are fans so willing to accept such utter garbage. They have RVD and Jeff Hardy yet you're content for nWo version eleventy billion to be on PPV rather than them?
Tell you what TNA fans, if that's what you want then you fucking deserve all the ridicule in the world. Spotfest matches are great and definitely have their place on the card, but you can't build a promotion around them. You can't invest in those matches because the guys have no storyline, it's the main event and sub-main matches that carry a company and in this case the stories are sub-par and the payoff's terrible and confusing.
But hey...it's all OK because we have a spotfest or two. Congrats, the defenders are killing any chance TNA could have had with the talent at their disposal.

How stupid is this guy to think that 2 of your top young talents, one of whom is champion, FALLING IN A FUCKING HOLE, whilst a 60 year old, and a guy no casuals know pose can possible compete with Taker/HBK, Cena/Batista, and Jericho/Edge???

Hell Punk vs ReyRey on Sunday will eclipse this whole show.

Hogan's protege should be Matt Morgan. He wasn't won anything. He can deliver in the ring and his finisher was already a big boot. Abyss can't deliver in the ring and he can't deliver on the mic either. Abyss is awful. He should be unmasked and turned heel.

Posted By: kevin (Guest)  on March 22, 2010 at 09:52 AM

If you're gonna have interference galore in the main event, at least have Dinero come out and take out the champ or something. They just should've had AJ get the win after some cheap shot, like w/ the belt. Then after the match they beat Abyss down until Hogan makes the save. Wolfe comes out and takes out Hogan while all three beat him up, and then Dinero comes out and kicks everyone's ass, poses for the crowd and then have the show go off the air. God, it isn't that hard TNA. This ending wouldn't have been as stupid and would've put Dinero over as a more credible threat to Styles.

Non-Finish in the main event = PPV automatically fails.

Even WWE cut that shit out. September of 2005 at Unforgiven with Cena and Angle was the last time they did it.

TNA doesn't have many loyal paying fans, but the few who do spend $20-30 on a PPV deserve to have a finish to the main match on the show!

Abyss is a joke, his time to be a star passed years ago. He doesn't need to be protected, he shouldn't even be anywhere near headlining PPV's anyway.

I actually paid to watch this PPV last night and after some tought I want my money back. After it was over I felt like I just watched a 3 hour version of impact. It didn't feel at all like a PPV should. I like TNA and want them to succeed but it will be a long time before I ever consider ordering another TNA PPV ever again. The latter match and ultimate x matches were about what I thought they would be, that is a complete spotfest. The rest of the card presented nothing that spectacular at all. I thought in order to make the Matt Morgan heel turn complete they needed to have Beer Money win the titles but does TNA do that? No they don't so good luck building up a solid match with the Gunns for lockdown that anybody would care about. I thought the ending to the Main event would have been cool if they would have let Abyss pull AJ up from the hole and pin him for the world title and then kick him right back into while he celebrated the win but instead they give us a no contest finish with a bunch of run ins. What a bunch of crap for a PPV. A solid match that got jacked up by a dumb finish. Those are the types of finishes I expect to see on impact to set up a PPV match that has a legit clean finish. Thanks TNA for selling me a 3 hour live impact for $34.95. I want my money back. Overall if this was an episode of impact I would give it a decent rating but as a PPV it was not worth the money and I would give it a 2 out of 5.

P.S. Hey TNA 1996 just called and said that they want the NWO back.

This PPV really wasnt that bad. I'm pretty sure that 90% of the people in here that are shitting on it didnt actually watch it. This site has denigrated into TNA vs. WWE with the fans of each side shitting on the other product. What ever happened to being FAIR & OBJECTIVE? Noting the positives and negatives of both shows. Instead, people automatically go "TNA Sucks! Worst Show EVER!!" or "WWE Blows! It's for kiddies and pedophiles!!". Real mature guys.

Speaking as someone who actually WATCHED the PPV tonight, the show wasnt that bad. It wasnt great, but the morons who are saying this is the worst PPV ever obviously have not seen Starrcade '89 or GAB '91 or No Way Out '05 or December to Dismember '06 because those were all MUCH worse than this show.

The Ultimate X match was 4 stars in my opinion. Great action by all 4 guys. The ladder match and Angle/Anderson were each ***1/2. The main event was actually really good until the ridiculous ending. I didnt even mind Abyss chokeslamming AJ through the ring, but the whole thing became a damn joke at the end. Abyss should have chokeslammed AJ through the ring, the ref calls for a no-contest, and Abyss ends the show holding the belt up looking like a crazed maniac. Simple. But instead, they went over the top by having Hulk, Wolfe and Flair get involved which just made the whole thing come off as ridiculous.

The Knockout and X-Division title matches were too short to say whether they were good or bad. The stuff with Nash, Hall and Pac was predictable as hell. Anybody who didnt see that coming must have never watched WCW in the late 90's. The tag title match was decent, but they should have put the belts on Beer Money since it's obvious that Morgan and Hernandez are about to split.

You see what I did there? I commented on the positives (Ultimate X, Ladder Match, Angle/Anderson), the neutral (Tag Title Match, KO and X-Division title matches) and the negatives (Main Event ending, Nash/Hall/Pac BS). That's called constructive criticism.

Larry did a great job with this report because God knows if it was left to some of you, the TNA fanboys would rate everything 3 stars or more and the WWE fanboys would rate everything 1 star or less.

Well folks, the Lock Down card looks to be shaping like this...

TNA World Title: AJ Style vs. Abyss
(In true Bischoff and Russo fashion, they'll pretend the whole Pope thing never happened ala the DDP Number One contendership in 1996 via winning the Battle Bowl)
Morgan vs. Hernandez
(Because Russo loves to book tag team champions against each other, because how will they succeed when they can't get along, blah blah blah)
Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson
Lethal Lockdown:
Team Hogan (Hogan,Jeff Hardy,RVD, The Pope) vs. Team Flair (Flair, Wolfe, Sting,Foley)
The NWO vs. Dudleys vs. Nastys
TNA X Title: Williams vs. Kaz
And a match chalk full of X division guys to round out the show....

Sadly this will all probably happen...

Just finished watching the second half of the show after my stream was cut off last night and, quite frankly, it was a pretty good PPV. It's actually shocking how different one approaches a PPV watching it *without* 411 contributors putting their negative slant on everything (though I agreed with Larry's analysis for the most part).

The main-event was a good match. I would have preferred they ended on the image of AJ going through the canvas, but of course, they needed to address whether *that was it* or not, so Hogan coming out to award Abyss the belt can also be excused.

It's from that moment it descended into slapstick.

While the ambiguity of Hogan's gesture would have been enough of a 'cliffhanger' to attract viewers to tonight show, they took it a step too far by prolonging the post-match action and having Wolfe calamitously fall over a prostate-positioned Flair, who then 'comically' followed him into the hole.

Unlike others, I'm willing to let the story progress before immediately shitting on it to satisfy peculiar personal fetishes, but the Abyss angle is somewhat perplexing me. The 'magic ring', the 'slapstick comedy', and Abyss's general demeanour all seem to point to a PG-directed push for the character; perhaps alluding to Hogan's claims that Abyss will be TNA's John Cena.

But they're not catering to a PG audience.

They're aligning AJ with a guy who routinely slices his forehead, and having Abyss on the side of another guy who reciprocates that blading, all at the same time as they're promoting themselves as an alternative to WWE's PG-rated product, yet they're pushing Abyss in a manner only befitting of that demographic. It seems counter-productive to both the wrestlers' character and the company's mission statement.

Other than that, the tag match was entertaining. Some people criticising how predictable the split was are just a keyboard and mouse away from being a mark. Not every storyline or turn has to feature a 'swerve'.

Same goes for the Wolfpac angle. The crowd was dead? Maybe if your mom told you to turn the television down so her and Uncle Leroy could sleep, but to anyone actually watching the show, Nash's turn was met with a sizable, positive reaction. I do hope the 'this was awesome 15 years ago' and 'same old shit' chants catch on, but in reality, on the show, they were sparse and relatively muted.

Other than that, Larry under-rated what was a good Knockout's match, the X-Division match came off longer than it reads and Williams post-match promo further backed Bischoff's assertion the division will receive more attention, the X-Division matches were entertaining (so what if they're spotty?), Anderson looked great again, and the commentary from Taz was brilliant. Overall, a passable-to-good show.

Overall this was a below par TNA PPV. Note those words. BELOW PAR. Not the worst thing ever (Go watch Mania IX and say it's better than this.)

The X division delivered a couple of spotfests. If spotfests are your cup of tea, then both Ultimate X and the ladder match were good. Oh and Shelley's "Hardy Boys starter kit" burn on the Bucks yet again proves why Shelley is rule on the mic.

Daffney vs Victara didn't click for some reason. Daffney's cool as all hell submission was the only high point.

Rob Terry still can't work. When Magnus of all people has to carry you through bumping you aren't worth a half sucked gobstopper. Rob Terry is best used standing behind people and looking intimidating. He's the Welsh Mr. Hughes.

Shannon Moore and Doug Williams REALLY didn't click. Just a hideous clash of styles.

The Band reunion... well there's a shock. Maybe they should have just fingerpoke of doomed the match and had Stone Cold Eric Young join the band. Would have saved some PPV time.

The tag title match was kinda alright but it's such a waste of all the talent involved. Hernandez and Morgan are talents you can build the company around. Beer Money are the best tag team in wrestling.

Anderson does alright when people can work the WWE style against him. Therefore Angle vs Anderson was good. Not great. But good.

The main event was a good match... right up until the hideous, hideous, HIDEOUS finish. Hogan still can't book a hotel room without putting himself over. If some things TNA are doing are EPIC FAIL, this was BEN HUR CHARIOT RACING LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, DR. ZHIVAGO AND SPARTACUS FAIL.

TNA has some of the best talent in pro wrestling today. All it needs is the Terrible Air to clear and maybe we'll get to see it.

I really appreciate the feedback. Just let me say this and we’ll all move on. I would have rated the ladies bout higher if Daffney could take a proper bump or run the ropes properly. She has been working for years and looks like week one of wrestling school. Great gimmick, she is an awesome character, but doesn’t deliver. I also agree with the person that says Tara seems to be dogging it lately.

Ultimate X and the Ladder matches were GOOD matches, but in the history of TNA, they have had much better. Some of you are acting like I shit on those matches, I liked them, but they just weren’t GREAT.

Again, thanks for the feedback, it was fun recapping again, I’ll be around. Enjoy what you enjoy and have fun!

You know what pisses me off about TNA? The company is loaded with talent. AJ Styles, Abyss, Angle, Hardy, RVD, Sting, the X division. Yet they have no idea what to do with the talent. They have no idea how to book a main event either. Bischoff is such an ass that he still pushes the wrong people. I'm not one of those WWE marks that will say TNA sucks and not offer a reason. I want wrestling to be competitive again. But come on already figure out how to make all the guys fit.

Some good matches, some terrible ones. MCMG vs. Gen Me was awesome, so was the ladder match, and I was into the Angle/Anderson match, I really liked seeing Anderson's psuedo crazy turn at the end...it adds dimension to his character. However, Scott Hall had to use the referee twice to help himself up, and The X-123 kid couldn't find his spray paint at first. That was the most predicatable match on the show, if you didn't know Nash was turning, kick yourself in the balls. The finish of the main event was incredibly stupid given that the "Monday Night Wars" are supposedly reignited. Why not have AJ beat Abyss and show that there is no power in a fucking ring and that he is the champion of the world, thus giving a little more credibility to his run. I don't know, it's russo-riffic, and I can only hope as a wrestling fan that down the road, someone fires his ass and replaces him with Paul Heyman.

I have no idea why people are dogging this show.

The Ladder match was awesome with 4 talented guys wowing the crowd and giving Daniels a purpose in life after his world title shot loss.

The Women's match was alright.

The MCMGs VS Generation ME was a pretty good match. Although, it's obvious the crowd wasn't buying them as heels. Maybe it's just GM's looks, not sure.

EY an Kevin Nash vs The Band was a result I saw coming, but it's the smart move. The deal is, they get them together and they give EY a hot feud to get over with. Since he is fighting three dudes, there is a chance for him to get a couple of allies to share the rub with. I'm excited to see him get revenge on the band and it will help take him to the next level.

Tag titles was a surprise, I thought Beer Money was going to win and face Generation Me, but Hernandez and MM came out on top. MM is doing a very good job playing an asshole and the crowd was on him. Not sure how they'll play out the titles, which is why I'll be watching tonight.

Not sure about Rob Terry. He's an incredibly impressive specimen, no doubt, but I don't think he should have squashed Magnus. Alot of people are saying he can't wrestle, it looks that way since I haven't seen him do it yet. He would make a good monster though, we'll have to see if they can make him interesting.

Shannon Moore vs Doug Williams was ok. I think Williams is almost like the "Dean Malenko" of the X-Division. He gave a pretty good promo at the end as well.

Angle vs Anderson was a little slow. I figure with all the shit Anderson has done, Angle would come at him quick and violent, but they started off slow. Angle got his revenge and won the match, I was expecting him to lose and then get his ultimate revenge at Lockdown. Anderson's interview is a bit puzzling.

The main event was good, although the crowd didn't start buying into Abyss till towards the end. I'm not sure his push is working out. I like AJ as champ, I think he should have went over in this match. The ending was a bit lame, but had a "holy shit" factor as well.

Overall it was a good show, watched it with my wife and niece and they both got a kick out of it (haha, hopefully she didn't understand the dry humping the sponge bob pillow part!)

Anyway lots of ragging on the show here, but I enjoyed it thoroughly and I will be watching Impact tonight.

You're a fucking moron. I watched the replay on a stream today and this ppv was EPIC FAIL all around. I had high hopes when I saw the card, and when Hogan/Bischoff took over in January but they are missing the mark. I want them to do well to provide competition and a better industry for workers and fans but turning Abyss into a 2010 version of Evad Sullivan and reuniting the Wolfpac is not the way to go. Hall is done...why is he employed?? The ending of the pay per view reaked of mid 80's cheesy Hulkamania. Just fucking stupid. Abyss wanting to be Hulk and AJ wanting to be Flair in the main event is bound for Wrestlecrap.

Posted By: Tbone3771 (Guest)  on March 22, 2010 at 06:54 PM

Why are people shitting on AJ as champ now? He can be a good champion for the company but it's obvious he belongs as a babyface. He doesn't have the charisma but as a babyface, he can just be the fighting champ taking on all challengers and people will get behind him. Of course, a simple concept like that is unacceptable to TNA.

Posted By: Guest#0672 (Guest)  on March 22, 2010 at 07:30 PM

So the show ends with a no contest due to people falling in to a whole... how fitting for TNA.

Just end it already... they are just as bad as WCW was in their final years. I used to like TNA, but this crap has gotten worse, not better, with time.

Alright, time to give a decent review after I've gotten over the rage.

The Ladder match was solid, as expected. Still mad that this kicked off the show. Really should've been close to OR the main event.

The Knockouts title match was decent. Nothing really wrong with that, good to see that they're gonna continue the Daffney/Tara feud.

Magnus vs. Terry was a dud, I have no idea why Terry is getting pushed like he is. He has no charisma, definitely not one of TNA's better talents, yet he's well on his way to getting a big push. WTF man.

The Ultimate X match was great. Even though the spots were pretty unrealistic & you had to suspend all belief, it was still a cool match to watch. Also shocked that TNA didn't hotshot Generation ME into a Tag Title shot, good to see MCMG getting a shot.

The nWo reunion match was ok, especially considering I figured it would be a complete embarrassment because of Scott Hall's condition. He actually looked okay. But still, the ending was TOO predictable & Waltman fumbling around with a spray can was just ridiculous. Plus, TNA leaving EY's outline on the mat for the rest of the night was just bush league. But, NOBODY wants to see the nWo in 2010. NOBODY.

Williams vs. Moore was a decent match, but once again, WTF is a former WWE jobber getting an X-Division title shot after doing nothing but accompanying Jeff Hardy into TNA? Just ridiculous booking. Turned a title match into a throwaway match before it even started, DAMN.

The tag title match was decent FWIW, but once again, more stupid booking. Obviously Mornandez (lame) is about to break up. WHY KEEP THE BELTS ON THEM?! Beer Money could've benefited a LOT more from a title run than these two, especially in the current state. Yet this happens. Wack.

Angle/Anderson was pretty good. A bit boring (amazing considering it's KURT FREAKING ANGLE), but still served its purpose. Good to see this won't end, they'll have another chance to do a better match at Lockdown.

I'm not even going to get into the main event. AJ & Abyss can put on a MUCH better match, & the ending was just godawful.

So yeah, the show had its good points. But once again, the bad outweighs the good which is par the course for TNA. The end of that main event set TNA back a couple of years. Terrible.

I know nobody is likely to read this comment way down here, but good job for the most part with the match ratings, although you gave the Knockouts title match the usual one star when it deserved better this time, and you underrated the Ultimate X by about the same amount you overrated Angle vs. Anderson, half a star or so. That main event was trash. It was decent until the Russo-at-his-worst last five minutes or so. I was just getting into the match, happy to see AJ finally breaking out some of his big moves again, then we get the stupid cologne and the even dumber chokeslam through the ring and dumbest of all - the lack of an official decision. That just reeks of Raw or Smackdown, it has no place on a Pay Per View.

I think it's hilarious that people order TNA ppv's just to bash them. Also, it's funny how in TNA the X-Division wrestlers are bashed as "spot monkeys" while WWE mindless sheep loved the Hardyz. Evan Bourne is an X-Division type of wrestler, who happens to be in WWE and the sheep pop for him. WWE's product is stale and while TNA does have a few stale storylines, overall it is better than the WWE. I understand the ratings do not show this, but that is because WWE is more mainstream and perfect for 12 year old fanboys who worship overrated superheroes and villains being force-fed to them by Vince McMahon. I don't blame Vince, he's making money and most of the sheep eat up anything he can shit out. I'd do the same thing if it worked..... but TNA is still the better product.
