Homicide makes his way to the back while Swann tries to recover in the ring. Before Swann can leave the ring, Austin Aries comes down and grabs a mic. Aries finds himself a free agent, and it’s time to re-evaluate his career. But he doesn’t just need to re-evaluate his career, he needs to re-evaluate the wrestling industry. MMA is hot, but professional wrestling is still the black sheep of the entertainment industry. The athleticism is real. The bumps are real. The bruises and breaks are definitely real. So why can’t the professional wrestling industry get the respect it deserves? It’s because the professional wrestling industry doesn’t respect itself. This industry began in the seedy backrooms, and it’s still stuck there. Wrestlers travel up and down the roads without a safety net for the futures. Everyone seems to just accept the way it is, but Austin Aries rejects the way it is. But you have to be careful if you reject the way it is, because then you become a problem. You become a rabble rouser and a cancer in the locker room. But Austin Aries will accept those tags, because he has integrity and believes in himself. So he’s issuing a challenge to everyone in the ring and everyone watching this show tonight. It doesn’t matter who you are, just ask yourself one question: Are you a man of honor? He pulls Swann to his feet and praises his effort against Homicide. Swann fought Homicide tooth and nail, and he did it with honor. Aries isn’t here to start his own group, but maybe he could use a protégé. And maybe Swann could use someone to look up to. Swann doesn’t need to answer right now, but Aries would like him to sit ringside for Aries’ match.

But his comeback and his life won’t be complete until, for the first time in his life, he wins a major championship. This is going to be the last time you see him jump off something so high and bleed so much, because he’s going back to wrestling. This is the first step in his quest to win the Open the Freedom Gate Championship.
