On with the show!
Ugh, Tony, this is so 2009....
Welcome, one and all, to NXT! Striker is mid-ring as per usual, and he lets us know that next week is the 100th episode and will be absolutely huge! They will be in Vegas. He welcomes back Alicia Fox to the show, who, as you may recall, was Maxine's Pro during Season 3 of NXT. She purrs as Striker removes some fuzz from her lip. Striker says that her rookie from Season 3 has taken NXT by storm, how does she feel about that. Before she can say anything of importance, Maxine comes out. She is sarcastically happy, and lets Alicia know that she is no use to her now just as much as she was back then. Alicia calls her stubborn, rude and a ho....ok, maybe not that. Maxine calls Striker Seacrest. Alicia asks Maxine who is she doing. Maxine tells her it doesn't matter who or what she's doing as Alicia says she seems more comfortable on her back, then pushes her. Maxine says she prefers being on top then mounts Alicia, and we get the booking of a match, right now. Nice to start NXT the same way three weeks in a row....
Match 1: Alicia Fox vs. Maxine
Lockup, and Maxine sends Alicia to the corner. She runs into another lock up but Alicia pushes Maxine away. Maxine with a kick, a whip, reversed, Alicia with a leap frofg then the splits to telegraph a jump. Maxine sees it and drops a knee to the back of Alicia, then another. She goes for a choke, but Alicia with a snapmare, only for Maxine to kick her in the face and pin. Pin again for two. Maxine sends Alicia to the corner and hits some shoulders. Alicia smacks the ass of Maxine. Hairtoss by Maxine but Alicia kicsk from the mat. Maxine with right hands to Alicia then chokes Alicia up in the corner. Whip is reversed and runs into the corner. Alicia runs but Maxine hops over and locks in a chin lock and body scissors. Maxine sends her to the ropes then hits a roll up for a pin, but Alicia reverses the roll and gets the pin for 1...2..3!!! Winner: Alicia Fox Well, at least Alicia didn't try and kill anyone...
Match 2: Trent Barreta vs. Tyler Reks
This should be fun. And by fun, I mean continuous proof that Reks doesn't belong here. Wow, even his music is generic. Remember when he was "mysterious?" Rkes withh a kick then a blow to the back. Right hand to the face then he sends Trent to the corner. Reks sends him to the ropes then hits a back elbow. Reks sends him to the corner, but Trent slides out of it and hits a kick, then a springboard elbow. Trent goes up top. Reks rolls to the outside, so Trent hops down, noticeably frustrated. While chattin it up with Curt Hawkins, Trent flies over the ropes into both men. It appears he hurts his ankle as he limps over and sends Reks into the ring. While gettin in, Reks hits a large boot. Pin for 1....2...Nope! Choke in the corner. Trent looks to be going for an odd STO, but instead sends Trent's head to the middle turnbuckle then pins for 1...2..NO! Tazzmission like manuever into a slam and a missed knee drop from Reks. Trent with a chop, then an elbow and finally a kick. Only for Reks to hit a hard clothesline and a pin for 1...2..NO! Reks with another hold, quarter nelso, according to Regal. Trent turns into it then hits some gut checks only for Reks to hit him hard then get in a body slam. Trent in the corner now, and Reks sends him to the opposite. He runs right into a boot as Trent goes up. Corkscrew Moonsault, but Reks moves! Reks is calling for the end. Reks lifts hi up and places him in the abdominable stretch, but Trent floats down and backslides Reks into a pin for 1...2...3!!! Winner: Trent Barreta While it wasn't as bad as I thought it was, I think it's mostly because they kept it quick, and I blame that on Trent, not Reks.
After the match, Curt Hawkins runs in quickly and starts mauling Trent with his cane. Here comes Yoshi! Spinning heel kick to Curt, then a high kick to the head of Reks! Yoshi and Trent bounce.
In the back, Justin Gabriel is chattin it up with Derrick Bateman. They bring up the entire Aksana thing and Bateman checks his phone to realize that the e mail sent to Teddy was not from him and he blames Curtis.
Match 3: The Usos vs. JTG and Tyson Kidd
Such a shame, Kidd comes out to JTG's music. Kidd and Jay to start. or is it Jey? Eh well. Lock up into a side headlock from Kidd. Uso pushes Kidd to the ropes. Kidd goes behind, falls back, kipps up but here's Jey with a uppercut. Tag to Jimmy and double team elbow drop into a pin for 2. Kidd with a jawbreaker and a tag to JTG who runs right into a Northern Lights Suplex. Uso sends JTG to the corner and tags in his brother then hits a double team move. Another tag and a pin for 1. Jimmy sends JTG to the ropes, but Jimmy holds onto the ropes. JTG goes for an elevated neckbreaker, and pretty much misses the hold, so Uso just falls. Tag to Kidd. JTG uses a distraction to drive a knee to the head of Jey. Pin for 2 after a kick to the upperback. Kidd locks in a side headlock on the mat. uso fights out of it and is met with a kick from Kidd. Uso with a spinning hit to Tyson's face and both men are down. Double tag, JTG gets clotheslined by Jimmy then a Samoan Drop! He is fiya! Butt splash in the corner then a pin. Kidd sends Jey off the apron and flies through the ropes into him. JTG is with Jimmy. JTG hops off the turnbuckle right into a Superkick and a pin for 1...2..3!!!! Winner: Trent Baretta Short, not bad. JTG still bugs me for some reason.
Backstage, Maxine is with Aksana. She says Alicia's win is a fluike and Aksana says it's because of the wedding. She offers her services if maxine needs it. Bateman tries to ttell Maxine something, but Maxine says they are done and she is aware of whathe did. She cuts him off numerous times as Bateman mocks her.
Match 4: Johnny Curtis vs. Alex Riley
Some back and forth whips are stopped quickly when Curtis leaves the ring to kiss maxine on the forehead. He seems worried then heads to the apron and kicks Riley. He hops in the ring and hits some rights onto Riley then sends him to the corner. Curtis screams as Riley holds the back. Pin from Curtis for 2 then a side chinlock. Alex fights out with some rights and an STO. Riley with some clotheslines, a whip is reversed and Riley kicks Curtis right in the face. he goes to hit the ropes, but Maxine is there so Riley stops. He turns right into a Falcon Arrow and a pin for 1...2...3!!! Winner: Johnny Curtis Another short match that didn't really have much going for it, but didn't offend either.
After the match, Bateman comes out with a mic. He tells Curtis he knows what he did. Next week, this triangle thing ends. Trigger finger and he is out. Striker brings up Darren YOung's brutal attack on Titus and it appears he is back.
While I thought there was going to be a match, Young comes out in his street clothes, so we're looking at an in ring promo segment, it appears. Let's see how this goes. Young calls himself the best on NXT, runs down who he defeated and calls himself the baddest man on NXT. He claims there is a rumor that Titus is here but he's not mad enough to show up. Young is unbeatable and unbreakable and he runs NXT. Titus's music hits and he makes his way to the ring. Titus has his mean mug on. YOung says he doesn't know when to quit then calls Titus a loser, similar to those in Texas. Titus says that actually, there is a room full of dogs in the house and he gets some barks. He calls them and he winners. He is back to address this entire situation. Let's be real, Darren. This entire competition started off with people that wanted to prove that they had what it took to be a superstar. Somewhere along the line, it came to just Young and Titus. So tonight, they should deal with this man to man. Young calls him an idiot and says he's already beaten him and tells Titus to take his...his...his...powerful demeanor. Really? That's an insult? Wow. Young then calls Titus's kids stupid. Young calls em stupid again, causing the ire of Titus. Titus tells him to watch what ya sayin. False conviction is in the face of Titus as he threatens Young. Titus says that's two. Young calls the kids quitters then Titus attacks. Striker is up, calling for referees. He calls for a fight as they tangle. Next week, Titus vs Darren, NO DQ match.
