411’s WWE NXT Report 2.4.12

February 4, 2012 | Posted by Tony Acero

Yo x’s 3! So, I go away for a week and Titus goes heel. This show has been going on long enough for a character to do a turn, I mean if that doesn’t mean it’s been too long, then I don’t know what to do. Well, let’s get this dance on the road, shall we? You ready, Regal?

You stole fizzy lifting drinks! You get Nothing!!

Titus O’Neil starts us off tonight as we get a recap from last week when he beat Percy Watson then beat him up after the win. Titus isn’t very happy with last week. He calls the audience small people. He knows they are not the brightest, but the best thing they can do is shut the hell up. As we saw last week, Riley butted his nose in some business that had nothing to do with him. He was trying to teach his former best friend a lesson. He wants Riley to come out here like a man. Instead of Riley, we get Darren Young at the top of the ramp. He claims he’d rather be anywhere than Nebraska. What is this, How to be A Heel, 101? He says Titus needs to be more worried about Mr. 30 Days Off D. Young. He claims that they have some unfinished business. Titus reminds Young that he whooped his ass two weeks ago. He gets a crack at Young’s hair. Young says he doesn’t like Titus and never did. The last two weeks, though, he’s gained some respect. Titus realized he doesn’t need any of these people to make it in the WWE. Even though Young doesn’t like him, he respects him. Young extends his hand. Wow, this is ridiculous. Titus says he doesn’t care who respects him. He doesn’t need it from Young. He then says he appreciates that YOung is finally starting to see the light….all kinds of bad right here.

Percy Watson is out next, and wants to know what’s goin on here. He says that last week Titus nearly blew a gasket when he was compared to Young now look at these fools. Percy says he will never underestimate Titus again. He says he was wrong about Titus, but from now on, the gloves are off. Titus says Percy needs to stop siding with these stupid people. Percy says nah, you stupid. Titus asks for Percy to come into the ring, nicely. Alex Riley’s music hits, and here comes A-Ry on his way down the ramp. Riley says that now that he’s out here, save your breath and keep your mouth shut. They have no issue getting in the ring, says Riley, and they do just that. Riley brings up his relationship with The Miz and says he saw the same attitude in Titus, so he did to Titus what he did to Miz…he kicked his ass. He drops the line from his music (say it to my face) then Titus tries to cheap shot. Watson and Riley get send Titus and Darren to the outside and I can only assume this will be our main event. Of course, Striker comes out to make it official.

Match 1: Trent Barreta vs. Tyson Kidd
Depending on how much time they get, this could be good…We start with a go behind from Tyson. Trent gets out of it and we get a test of strength. Tyosn sends Trent to the mat, with both hands locked. We get a pin attempt but only a two. Another but Trent uses a bridge to get out of it. Tyson with a bridge of his own for no reason then we get Trent trying to get out. Wrist lock and Tyson uses the ropes for an arm drag, sending Barreta to the outside. Tyson hits the ropes and flies in between some ropes right into Trent, bouncing his neck off of the barrier. The ref starts the count, and both men are in at 9. Trent with a chop, a right, and goes for another, but Tyson gets a nice kick to the gut then a back kick, oh but Trent fires back with a high kick to the back of the head! Trent flies to the corner with a nice looking elbow to Tyson, then hits the ropes again, but Tyson is there with a pretty leg lariat and a pin for 1…2..NO! Tyson goes for a suplex, but Trent floats over and out and is in the corner. Tyson runs towards him, right into some knees! Trent flies with a knee to Tyson then pins for 1…2..NO!! Trent with a swinging DDT, but Tyson gets out of it, flips over the ropes and gets a kick to the head of Trent! Tyson is going up top, but Trent is quick to crotch him! Trent looks to be going for a back suplex from the top, but Tyson with some rights, sends Trent to the mat. Trent is quick though and runs up the ropes, looking for a frankensteiner! He hits it, but Tyson rolls through and pins for 1…2…3!!
Winner: Tyson Kidd
About as much action as you could ask for in the short time allotted for these two. It was like a great match smashed into one, but far too short to be anything more than two and a half AJ’s

We return to the crappy music of the crappy wrestler named Heath Slater. He’s got a douche hat and a microphone…oh dear. He claims he didn’t want to come back to this D-list show but he had to. And the only reason he is here is to show everyone what happened last week. He shows his win over Trent Barreta. There is a repeat of the pin and win, about five times. Regal says he is going to sock him in the mouth. Awesome. haha. We get a few more repeats of the win before Derrick Bateman comes out to interrupt. Bateman extends his hand, and Slater says stop trying to take over his spotlight. He deserves this. He wants to play the clip of the pin one more time, but it appears the techs in the back are not with it. Bateman calls him Skinner. Bateman didn’t even know Slater had a finishing move. He can guarantee that nobody came to see that video. He says The Undertaker’s undefeated streak is impressive, but Slater’s losing streak is the stuff that Legends are made of. Slater calls Maxine a bimbo then says that he is the real deal, he’s Heath Slater. He’s been to Wrestlemania. Bateman hasn’t. He has main evented Summerslam. he’s a three time tag team champion. That’s just sad. He claims that he is going to cause a lot of damage. Bateman says he has compiled a list of Heath Slater damage over the years, actually. Heath Slater’s Greatest Hits! It’s a slide show of Heath Slater getting pinned by Justin Gabriel as well as a picture of Hornswoggle tossing him out of the ring. Slater pushes, and Bateman pushes back. Slater tries for a right but Bateman ducks and hits a few of his own then dropkicks Slater to the outside.

Match 2: Alicia Falls vs. Maxine
LOCKUP! Maxine with the go-behind. Alicia breaks it so Maxine kicks her in the gut then pushes her down and…plays with her hair. She grabs a piece of cloth and shoves it into the mouth of Alicia. Johnny Curtis comes out, asking for them to start over so Maxine is there to yell at him and Alicia gets the obvious roll-up for the 1..2…3!!!
Winner: Alicia Fox
NO RATING
Crap.

In the back, Maxine is looking for Curtis. She chokes some dude in a tie as Bateman follows. She tells him to go one way as Kaitlyn is checking out the abs of Justin Gabriel. Kaitlyn is there and says she doesn’t want Maxine to hurt Bateman, why is she always looking for Curtis? Maxine accuses Kaitlyn of liking Derrick, so Kaitlyn walks away. Maxine follws her, berating her the entire time. She leaves, Maxine walks the opposite way, and Curtis comes out of a side door, lookin like a mad man.

Match 3: Alex Riley and Percy Watson vs. Darren Young and Titus O’Neil
Darren and Percy to start. High lock up to start, Percy with a go behind, Young with an arm drag into a wrist lock as Percy pushes the chin then whips him to the ropes. Young comes back with a shoulder block for 1. Some rope work ends with a half nelson suplex and Young rolls out of the ring. Percy hops over the rope and cross bodies on top of Darren. We get a break and as we return, Percy hits a dropkick to Young on the apron. Percy rolls out to grab him but Young kicks and hits a side suplex onto the apron. He rolls in and pins for 1. Young sends Percy’s face into Titus’ boot and tags him in. Titus drops Percy on the ropes, arm pit first. Pin for 1…2..NO. Titus grabs the head of Percy. Percy fights out but Titus hits a knee to the gut then sends Percy to the corner and stomps him down. Tag to Young and Darren drops a forearm to the chest of Percy. The ref is distracted so Titus stomps on the fallen Percy. In the middle of the ring, Young hits a neckbreaker and a pin for 1…2…NO. Another pin and he only gets a 1. Percy with a knee to the back of Percy and a face hold then he drops a knee to the head of Percy. Percy tries to fight back but Young hits a aright. Here comes Percy with some rights, then fights Young into the corner with some shoulder blocks! Young clips the ankle though and tags in Titus. Titus with a body slam and a pin for 1…2..NO! Titus with a cravat from the front but Percy hits a knee so Titus sends Percy to the corner and hits a right. Percy is up top and hits a double kick then falls to the mat. Looks like we’re going to get the pin, and we do! Riley hits the ropes. Down goes YOung! Again! One more time! SPinebuster! Kick and a DDT to Young! Pin for 1…2..Broken up by Titus. But here is Percy, sending Titus to the outside! Percy follows and Titus sends him back first into the apron. Young with a headlock and hits the ropes. Titus gets a blind tag but Riley didn’t see it so he is none the wiser when Titus comes in and hits the Clash of the Titus and pins for 1…2…3!!!!
Winner: Darren Young and Titus O’Neil

If this match were to only be summarized in one word, that word would be “average.” Percy should be exciting, but he was getting the ass beating during this whole match as Young and Titus got a majority of the offense and this made for a very boring and clunky match.

The wheels on the show go round and round….
