-Opening video recapping the Joe Park-Bully Ray feud and the Styles-Carter-Daniels-Lynch storyline.

-FIREWORKS! Mike Tenay and Taz intro the show.

-Bully Ray comes out. He says he’s going to make a big, big, big, big, huge announcement. He’s going live on Twitter. I’ll never forget where I was when this happened. He Tweets live in the ring. History. Bully is angry at Joe Park for accosting him. He calls him out. Despite being a mere humble lawyer, Joe Park obliges and struts down to the ring. Bully Ray says he’s bigger and badder than Joe. Well, he looks to be about half his size. Regardless, he accepts Park’s challenge. Park says he’s already beat Bully, then tells him to shut up when Ray starts to cut him off. Park starts yelling. He looks like Howard Dean. The match is set for next week on Impact, no holds barred. Ray unveils a restraining order against Abyss. I imagine the judge having a perplexed look on his face when Ray appeared to ask for a restraining order against a man simply named “Abyss.” Ray says if Abyss appears he’ll rot in jail for the rest of his life. As a lawyer, Joe Park should know that’s entirely false. Ray lays out Park.

-Austin Aries and Hulk Hogan meet in the back. Aires says he’ll hand the belt over to him tonight. Hogan says he has to perform. They shake hands.

-Mike Tenay says AJ Styles is in the building to address Christopher Daniels’ accusations that he is the father of Claire Lynch’s fetus. We get footage of a camera man asking Dixie Carter about the angle. She doesn’t want to talk about it. I hope they signed Maury to do the big DNA results reveal.

TNA TV Title Match: Devon © vs. Crimson

Crimson looks for an early pin but doesn’t get it. He trips Devon and goes for a pin with his feet on the ropes. Devon kicked out. Earl Hebner must be senile if he didn’t see that one. Crimson throws Devon off the ropes and Devon spears him. He momentarily has momentum but Crimson interrupts with a clothesline. Crimson goes off the ropes and Devon hits a spinebuster. 1-2-3 and he retains the title. Quick match. Nothing special.

Result: Still champion, Devon via pin.

A knockout, apparently named Madison Rayne, comes down to the ring. Shockingly, she kisses Earl Hebner. He seemed shocked.

-Chris Sabin is shown making his way to the ring.

-Sabin is in the ring. He says being a pro wrestler was the only thing he’s ever dreamed about. With his injury his dream is turning into a nightmare. His family members told him he couldn’t wrestle anymore and he should consider retiring and moving on. A doctor told him he should consider retirement because coming back from a second ACL reconstruction will be a doozy. Bobby Roode interrupts and makes his way to the ring, visibly emotional over Sabin’s hardships. He says the sight of Sabin with his knee brace, on his crutches, and fighting back tears is pathetic. Just like all of the other X Division wrestlers, he says, even bringing up Jesse Sorensen’s broken neck. He says the poster boy of the X Division, Austin Aries, will fare poorly when he challenges him at Destination X for the heavyweight title. He kicks out Chris Sabin’s crutch. Oh no. He stomps Sabin’s knee. There’s a locker room full of people, will anyone come to the rescue? Surprisingly, Austin Aries scampers down to the ring to make the save. Roode bails and goes back up the ramp.

X-Division Title Tournament Qualifier: Dakota Darsow vs. Flip Cassanova

Dakota Darsow is in fact the son of Smash/The Repo Man. He does not fair well early in the match. Flip Cassanova lands an awesome backflip atomic butt drop. He comes off the ropes and Darsow counters with a dropkick. Cassanova does a lot of flips. If his cardio doesn’t hold up this could come back to haunt him in longer matches. He does a springboard corkscrew moonsault to the outside of the ring. Darsow is busted open. He reverses a cross body and takes the offensive. Flip then takes advantage. He goes to the top and does a shooting star press into a what I believe was supposed to be a leg drop but ended up being a super atomic butt drop. I wonder if the flipping helps him gain momentum to further hurt his opponent. If there are any physicists reading, please comment. He pins Darsow 1-2-3.

Result: Flip Cassanova via pin.

-Miss Tessmacher thinks Gail Kim’s legal maneuvering to get the title match moved to next weak was the result of cowardice. Still, she’s excited to tag with her best friend Tara tonight. How nice.

-We get a recap of Taeler Hendrix getting the job during the Gut Check.

Madison Rayne and Gail Gim vs. Miss Tessmacher and Tara

Madison Rayne attacks Tessmacher before the bell in an underhanded tactic. She throws her out of the ring, beats her up, then throws her back in. A pin attempt is unsuccessful. Tag made to Gail Kim. Kim kicks Tessmacher in the leg. Mirko Cro Cop has nothing on her. Grazing closed-fist blows land to the stomach of Kim, but Gail seems shaken by them regardless. Both women make it to their corners for the tag. Tara controls Rayne out of the gate. Tara was going for the Widow’s Peak but Kim interrupted, so she kicks her and does it again. Tessmacher gets the tag and and gets the pin. What a way to build excitement for the title match next week.

Result: Tessmacher and Tara via pin.

-AJ Styles makes his way to the ring for the top of the hour segment.

-Video package with James Storm talking about his match tonight against Jeff Hardy. Good stuff.

-AJ Styles makes it seem as though Christopher Daniels’ accusations that he got Claire Lynch pregnant are unfounded. Daniels and Kazarian come out. Kazarian tells Styles that he, meaning AJ, gets “junkie whores” pregnant. Daniels says he was saying all along that something was going on with AJ and Dixie, and that something was related to Claire, and he has proof behind his accusations. AJ calls Christopher Daniels a prick, which makes Daniels very angry. Styles says at Destination X it will be a Last Man Standing match, and he’ll win because Daniels is no man. Thems fightin’ words. Christopher Daniels is adamant he is a man as the music is playing them off.

-Hulk Hogan A man in a bandana tells Hulk Hogan backstage they’re not cowards and gives him a note. It reads, “See you next week,” I believe the intention was to show they have poor penmanship. Above that there are four cards, an 8, two Aces, and another 8. Hogan says “stop that guy,” in a very calm voice. Two pair of aces and eights is known as the dead man’s hand.

-Jeff Hardy is doing intense swaying side to side to prepare for James Storm. He wants to win the Bound for Glory Series.

X-Division Title Tournament Qualifier: Kenny King vs. Lars Only

Lars Only is stealing Brett Michaels’ gimmick. Also, you can’t convince me someone with the name Lars Only is going to win. Furthermore, Taz is raving about King on commentary. King starts off with a headlock and Lars reverses into a hammerlock. King gets out and hits an armdrag. Only takes advantage and hits a cross body as King is hung over the middle rope. He then lands a kick from the outside. Outside of the ring, King jumps on the apron, does a flip onto Only, and Only makes an awful catch so the bump looked really weird. Back in the ring, King kicks him in the head, almost gets a 3 count. King goes for a springboard moonsault and misses. LARS ONLY IS A HOUSE OF FIRE! Landing hurricanrana’s and the crowd is going absolutely mild. Only goes for a DDT off the top, misses, and then he goes for something like a Russian leg sweep/neckbreaker and it looked absolutely awful. Despite clearly hitting nothing, he goes for a pin, and predictably doesn’t get it. Taz did not like that move. Only goes for it again and King back flips off the rope and kicks Only in the head. He picks Only up and does an F-5 into a Rock Bottom. He gets the pin. Not a good showing for Lars Only. I don’t think he’s getting a call back.

Result: Kenny King via pin.

-Christy Hemme is with Kenny King. He didn’t come here to play no games. He says we haven’t seen anything yet. At Destination X, the king will be crowned.

-A video package is shown with Austin Aries working out. He talks about his career and how he’s gotten to this point. Good stuff.

-Backstage, Aries greets Kenny King as he comes back from his match. Aries says that by 10:00pm he will give the X-Division title to Hogan.

BFG Series Match: James Storm vs. Jeff Hardy

Tie up and Storm gets a hammerlock to start. Hardy reverses and gets his own hammerlock. Hardy teases a twist of fate but Storm gets out. Storm teases a superkick as well. The exchange headlocks and shoulder locks. They go for quick pins but both kick out before a count of one. Another attempted Twist of Fate is countered by Storm who throws Hardy into the ropes. Storm charges and Hardy dodges. Storm out on the ring apron and Hardy hits him to the outside. Storm takes his time getting back in the ring. Crowd is really into the match and split about 65-35 in favor of Hardy. Commercial.

We come back and Hardy has Storm in a headlock. Storm then gains control and rams Hardy into the corner. He throws Hardy to the other corner and Hardy reverses. Going back and forth with offense now. Hardy back in control and looks for a pin but only gets a two. Storm on the top rope and does some sort of spinning reverse DDT for a 2 count. Storm charges and Hardy does a back body drop and Storm goes over the top rope. Hardy dives out on top of Storm. They both make it back in before the ten count. Crowd firmly on Hardy’s side. Storm with a clothesline. Hardy gets back in control now. He goes to the top and looks for a swanton bomb. He misses. Storm to the top now. Elbow drop off the top connects. 1-2-2!!! Hardy still alive. Storm signals for the superkick. Hardy reverses the superkick and hits a twist of fate. 1-2-3.

Result: Jeff Hardy via pin.

-We get a recap of the first time Kurt Angle ran into Samoa Joe. Taz and Tenay go over the card for Sunday’s Destination X.

-Hulk Hogan is shown making his way to the ring.

-Bound for Glory is announced for Sunday, October 14, in Phoenix, Arizona.

-Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson talk about their upcoming match in a video.

-Hogan comes out. The camera finds the one guy in the crowd bowing to him. Now more people are bowing. He calls out Austin Aries. But, in a twist, Bobby Roode comes out instead. Roode tells Hogan to shut up. He mocks his “brother.” That stops Hogan in his tracks. Roode says he is the real heavyweight champion. He says Hogan has given nothing but false hope and false promises to Aries and the X-Division. He says on Sunday he’s going to maim Aries on Sunday. Apparently in objection, Aries comes out. Austin Aries says after Sunday he’s going to be the new world heavyweight champion. He says there are three ways to handle this; A) He can return to the back. B) He can get in the ring, hand the belt to Hogan, and wait until Sunday to handle Roode. C) Not wait until Sunday. He doesn’t like options A and B. I never would have seen that coming. He says he’s not backing down and he’s not scared of Bobby Roode. Hogan is just standing in the corner as they argue in the ring. Aries turns his back and Roode rushes forward to his Aries with the belt. Aries ducks and hits Roode with his title. He stands tall with the TNA heavyweight title to close the show.
