Old school graphic…

Welcome to 411’s LIVE WWE Raw Report 7.30.12
Championship Roll Call:
WWE Champion: CM Punk
World Champion: Sheamus
US Champion: Santino Marella
IC Champion: The Miz
Unified Diva’s Champion: Layla
WWE World Tag Team Champions: Kofi Kingston and R Truth

Reminder, I do not rate matches that are under three minutes long…

-Cole and Lawler welcome us to the show. Cole mentions that it has been an eventful evening, and they discuss the pyro rehearsal going wrong. The TRON caught on fire, and we get footage of the incident. Thankfully no one was injured.

-We get the fancy video package to recap Raw 1,000.

-CM Punk now makes his way to the ring, to a pretty big ovation. Punk says that people always talk about their WrestleMania moment, well last week, he got his Raw moment. A Raw moment that was bigger than most WrestleMania moments. But before he explains some things, he wants to shed some light on a few things. He was uncomfortable with the way the show went off the air. It was with Jerry Lawler saying that CM Punk turned his back on the WWE Universe. Punk stares down Lawler, and then heads to the floor. He lays the title on the table and then sits on it, staring down Lawler. Punk says he is bad to bad commentary, but that was bad even for Lawler. How can he jump to such a conclusion? If anything, Lawler turned his back on him. Rock is not the WWE Universe. The Rock is one man, he is a larger than life and charismatic man, and a delusional movie star that showed the WWE champion a lack of respect. First of all he interrupted him, and when he went into his deal with Bryan, he acted as if he wasn’t even there. And then when he talked to him, he said he was gifted a WWE title shot, acting like he will just take it from Punk. He showed Rock respect by not dropping him on the spot. And then, at the end of the night, Dwayne did what he does best, make Raw all about him. And that is when Punk showed Rock what he will deal with at the Royal Rumble. This is the WWE, and Punk is the champion. Do you understand that Jerry? And what is Rock’s response? Nothing, when he battled with Cena, we couldn’t shut him up. But now he is silent, and what that means is that however Lawler wants to spin this, is fine. The 1,000th Raw ended with how Raw should end, with the focus and spotlight on the WWE Champion, the best wrestler in the world.

The Big Show now makes his way out. Show enters the ring, and Punk says now Show is here to steal the spotlight. Show says that Punk is sort of right. The focus was on Punk, but history will prove that the event was all about Big Show. He cost Cena the WWE title. He made Cena the first man to fail at cashing in the MITB. And Punk is supposedly the best, well Show knocked out Cena and Punk still could not win. In fact, Punk was about to tap out if Show didn’t save him. Punk is only champion due to what Show did last week. Cena may have stopped him from winning MITB, but he vowed Cena would not cash in. Show also says he will be the next WWE Champion. Punk seems amused at this, and says he could not beat Cena and could not win MITB, and the only winner here is Punk.

Cena rushes the ring and attacks Show, who bails as Punk lays back and watches.

Justin Roberts now announces the new GM, AJ. AJ is wearing a little business suit, and says as her first proclamation; she will announce the main event, the Big Show vs. John Cena. And, the winner of the match will face CM Punk at Summerslam for the WWE Title.

-Cole and King welcome us back and Lawler discusses what Punk had to say. Lawler says Punk is sticking to his story.

-Daniel Bryan contemplates meeting with AJ backstage.

Non-Title Match: Santino © vs. Alberto Del Rio

-Daniel Bryan stands outside AJ’s office.

-Brodus Clay and the dancers make their way to the ring. Vickie Guerrero now makes her way out and laughs at Clay and the girls. She asks if they call that dancing. EXCUSE ME! She tells the little girls to step aside, and says the queen diva will show them how to put a step on. Vickie dances rather badly, and here comes Damien Sandow. Mr. Sandow is not impressed, and asks for our indulgence. He is out intellectual savior and a martyr, and says last week, a crime was committed. -Daniel Bryan finally goes in to meet with AJ. She welcomes him, and he calls her insane for leaving her at the alter. She tells him to shut up and then says she is his boss now. And last week, she thinks she saw guys in white coats walking around, and it looked as if they were from a mental hospital. She says he wanted to marry her to have her committed. He says they were his groomsmen, and she says they can start with a clean slate. So he has a match tonight, against Sheamus. Bryan asks if it for the world title, to which A chants, NO, NO, NO!

In the ring, Bryan tosses the toys to the floor and Sheamus then clotheslines him to the floor. Sheamus follows an as he goes through the ropes, kendo stick attack by Bryan. In the ring and he starts to unload with the kendo on Sheamus. Bryan looks pissed and then goes to the floor for the chair.
