411’s IMPACT WRESTLING REPORT 9.06.12 (Episode 426)

Reminder, I do not rate matches that are under three minutes long…

-Taz and Tenay welcome us to the show.

BFG Series Match: Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Hardy

Lock up to begin, and Joe works the arm. Jeff gets the ropes, and Joe breaks. They lock up again, side headlock by Jeff. Off the ropes, and a shoulder block by Joe sends Jeff to the floor. Joe is favoring the left arm, which was previously injured by Magnus. Jeff back in, lockup and to the corner they go. Joe breaks, and follows with jabs. He beats Jeff to the mat with repeated strikes, and Joe is in control. He tosses Jeff to the floor, and follows. Knee strikes to Jeff, breaks the count, but then Jeff fights back and slams Joe to the steps. Jeff the runs off the steps to land a leg lariat…

~commercial break~

Back to action and Joe levels Jeff with a back elbow, and covers for 2. Head butts by Joe, to the corner and jabs follow. To the corner, back splash and an enziguri by Joe all connect. Joe with another kick and another cover for 2. Joe with more strikes to Jeff in the corner, forearm strikes follow, Jeff back with rights. Off the ropes and a snap slam by Joe gets 2. Jeff tries to fight back with rights, to the corner and a head butt by Joe. Jeff back with a forearm, another and then a reverse kick. Atomic drop, leg drop to the balls and then a basement dropkick and cover for 2. Jawbreaker by Jeff, goes up top and Joe is up and moves, and then locks in the clutch. Jeff slams him to the corner, back elbow and whisper in the wind nails Joe in the injured arm. Twist of fate connects. Jeff then uses a judo throw and locks in a submission on the arm and head, and Joe has to tap!

-Video package of Aces and Eights attacking Austin Aries.

-Hogan and Aries meet backstage. Aries is sick of Aces and Eights and all the bullshit. Hogan says that the little guy that attacked was on the crew. Hogan says they need to find out who they are. Aries says they need answers. He has the little guy that attacked Aries coming tonight, and Aries can make him talk. Hogan says to break his legs old school style. Aries says if he has permission, he will do what he has to.

-Christy Hemme talks with Joe. Magnus comes out, and says he knows Joe is upset about his loss. Magnus says he knows what that feels like, because Joe did it to him. he says Joe won, he lost his temper, and he says that when they were a team they were really good, and he was great. But Joe ruined it by making bad decisions, and acted like an ego maniac. But Magnus is over it and he will be the bigger man and wishes him luck. He leaves, and as Hemme talks with Joe again, he takes a cheap shot on Joe’s injured arm.

-Championship Thursday time, and Kid Kash and Gunner, the Robbies and Chavo and Hernandez are there. Robbie E says they are the best, and runs down all the other teams. Kash says he and Gunner are the best and calls Chavo weak. Chavo says he has won titles since age 10, and he wants the shot. AJ arrives and says he deserves the shot at revenge against Daniels and Kaz. Hogan says AJ is eliminated. Well that sucks.

-Brooke Hogan talks with Tara, and says she is impressed with her. She wants to see more, and says at the PPV, Tara gets the title shot. Gail Kim arrives and complains about how Brooke is running things. Brooke says is she wants to wrestle Tara tonight, make it so. Tara and Gail argue.

-There will be a one hour countdown to Bound for Glory the night of the PPV at 7PM, with backstage interviews and a live match. Cool.

Gail Kim vs. Tara

Taryn Terrell is the referee. Lock up to begin, headlock takedown by Kim. Tara back to her feet, and a dropkick by Kim connects. Tara fights back with rights, and an arm drag. Big backdrop by Tara, to the corner and a boot by Kim, followed by a single arm DDT. Uppercuts by Kim, to the corner and a corner splash by Kim. Cannonballs down on Tara, and a cover for Kim gets 2. She chokes out Tara, and then forearms connect. Tara fights back and gets a sunset flip for 2. Kim back with a kick, and another cover for 2. Kicks to the gut by Kim, to the corner, misses a charge and walks into a powerslam by Tara. Rights by Tara, clotheslines follow. She fires up, boot, and a stalling vertical suplex by Tara gets 2. Tara looks to go up top, Kim grabs the leg and trips her into the ropes. Kim up top now, Tara stops that and picks her up and lands the widow’s peak for the win.

-We get a Joey Ryan video package.

-Al Snow walks, he has invited Joey Ryan to the Impact Zone tonight.

-Al Snow is in the ring, and says that Joey Ryan has received his attention. He wants to give him another chance, and calls him down to the ring. Ryan, along with megaphone, arrives. Snow says it is good to see him and says he knows he has something to say. Ryan says what a difference a day makes. He asks if he can feel the electricity. Snow says no one wants to hear him, and asks if he is done. Snow says he will give him an opportunity. Ryan can go through another gut check, if he wins he is in, no judges. Snow removes his jacket, and Ryan says he proved himself when 87% of the crowd said they wanted him. Ryan says he should be here and already proved it. He wants Snow to give him a contract right now, but Snow says he has to prove it. Ryan says he has the ability to do it, and he accepts it. Snow says Ryan will fight him to get it. Ryan says it isn’t the 90s anymore and no one wants to see Snow in spandex. Snow slaps Ryan, who bails. Ryan says Snow can’t touch him and then says he will sue. Ryan bails through the crowd.

-Bully Ray meets with Joseph Park. Ray says he is not here to fight, and wants to know about Aces and Eights. He asks what he found out. Park says Hogan and Sting hired him, and he cannot say anything due to attorney-client privilege. Ray tells him to be careful, because he knows people like Aces and eights, and what they are capable of.

-Aries has the Aces and eights guy tied up in the back from last week. Aries says he will have fun if the guy doesn’t talk.

-Hogan is taking with the tag teams. Chavo states that he respects the other teams, but he and Hernandez do not fear anyone. Plus they already beat Kash and Gunner. Robbie says the others are not real teams. The Robbies have been together for a year and a half. Hogan eliminates Gunner and Kash.

BFG Series Match: Bully Ray vs. RVD

RVD does his pose, and Ray talks shit to him, likely about the “#twittahmachine”. Boot to the gut by Ray, rights follow. Side headlock by RVD, off the ropes and a back elbow by Ray. Ray lays the boots to him, but RVD with a roll up for 2. They stand off, lock up and a side headlock by RVD. Ray looks to escape, pulls the hair and off the ropes, float over by RVD and lands a reverse kick. RVD with the superkick and a cover gets 2. Ray rolls to the floor, and then a baseball slide dropkick by RVD. RVD then hits the flip dive onto Ray! Tosses Ray back into the ring, up top and Ray crotches him. Ray pulls him down, but RVD is caught n the ropes and Ray then lays in the boots to RVD. Ray works over the leg in the ropes, and is in control. Ray slams the leg to the mat, and then stomps on it. Elbow drop to the knee by Ray, and locks it up. RVD counters with an arm bar, but Ray escapes and works the knee again. RVD escapes, but more rights by Ray. He beats RVD down in the corner, and then argues with the ref. RVD fights back with the spin kick, and both men are down. To their feet, rights by RVD. Clothesline connects, another and then hits a spin kick. Rolling thunder lands, and he covers for 2. Monkey flip by RVD, and then the springboard cross body gets 2. Misses the leaping side kick, big boot by Ray and a cover gets 2. Ray misses the Vader splash, and RVD gets the springboard side kick. RVD up top, and LEAPS INTO THE BULLY CUTTER and that is all!

-Aries talks to “Mike” who attacked him last week. Aries says he will mess with him until he gets answers. Aries has pliers, and looks to rip out his tongue. Hogan arrives, and says that is not the way to do it. Hogan wants a piece and hits Mike. Hogan says they tried to attack his daughter, and then answers his phone. It’s Aces and Eights on the phone. He wants the guy that attacked Aries, and they want him alone. They will make the trade, but it has to go down at the end of the show, and Aries also gets him at the PPV Sunday. Hogan says to let the guy live, until the end of the show.

-James Storm is out to pick his opponent for No Surrender, which he got the right to do since he finished #1 in the BFG Series. Storm says the last year has been a hell of a ride, with high and lows. Losing at Lockdown, made him doubt himself and go home. He went home, spent time with his family, drank beer with friend, and they said something was missing. When he came back, and that was him hearing the crowd go crazy. So he came back, he ended Crimson’s streak, got in the BFG Series and as he said he would, he got better and he won. He calls out Ray, Hardy and Joe, so he can announce who he will fight at the PPV. They arrive on the ramp, and puts over Joe as tough and a guy that will make you tap. And then there is Hardy, a guy that everyone knows how good he is. But Storm chooses Bully Ray, and calls him to the ring. Ray comes to the ring, and talks shit. Storm says Ray accused him of being in charge of Aces and Eights, and last year Ray ended his chance in the BFG Series. Storm knows who he is, and Sunday, Ray will find out who he is. Sorry about your damn luck.

-Kaz and Daniels await their tag team challengers.

-Hemme is with RVD, and Magnus interrupts, and rubs in the fact that RVD lost out on the final four. Magnus says the old RVD wouldn’t have failed. Magnus grew up watching him, but maybe RVD is not the same, and the younger guys are setting the bar too high. RVD attacks him, and they brawl backstage.

-Kaz and Daniels make their way to the ring.

-Hogan chooses Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez for the title shot.

TNA Tag Team Title Match: Daniels and Kazarian © vs. Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez

The challengers rush the ring and here we go. They toss the champs to the floor and follow. Hernandez and Daniels in, a slam, tag to Chavo and a slingshot senton by Chavo. Tag to Hernandez, bear hug applied to Daniels, and then hits an overhead throw. Tag back to Chavo, basement dropkick to Daniels gets 2. Chavo beats down Daniels, tag to Hernandez, and chops follow. Hernandez works over Daniels, tag to Chavo and Hernandez slams Chavo onto Daniels, and he covers for 2. Daniels with the cheap shot, tag to Kaz and a slam by Chavo. Tag to Hernandez, and he drops the elbow to the balls of Kaz. That had to suck. Quick tags by the challengers, double back elbows to Kaz, but Kaz manages a tag to Daniels and they blow a head scissors spot. Dropkicks by Chavo to the champs, tag to Hernandez, and Daniels tags Kaz back in. Hernandez with the back breaker, and then gets the staling suplex. Chavo in with the three amigos as Hernandez holds the stalling suplex the whole time. The champs roll to the floor…

~commercial break~

Back to action and Chavo works over Daniels in the corner. Kaz sneaks in and stun guns Chavo, and that allows Daniels to attack. Slam by Daniels, to the apron and a sling shot elbow drop followed by a sling shot leg drop by Kaz for 2. They work over Chavo in the corner, quick double team and Daniels tosses Chavo to the floor. Side effect by Daniels, and a cover gets 2. Daniels lays the boots to Chavo, tag to Kaz and Daniels hip tosses him onto Chavo and Kaz covers for 2. Chavo tries to fight back, rolls and gets the tag to Hernandez. He runs wild on the champs with clotheslines. Big shoulder block by Hernandez to Daniels Catches Kaz off the ropes and blows the powerbomb toss, gets a sloppy sit out version for 2 as Daniels makes the save. Kaz with a kick to Hernandez, who is able to fight back and tosses Daniels. Kaz up top with Hernandez, Chavo in and pulls Kaz off. Chavo up and RANA’s Hernandez onto Kaz and a cover for 2 as Daniels stops the count. Chavo wipes out Kaz on the floor, Daniels levels Hernandez with a palm thrust. Daniels then moonsaults to the floor, but Chavo moves and he wipes out Kaz. SUPER MEX DIVE onto the champions! Back into the ring they go, corner splash by Hernandez. Daniels tosses Chavo to the floor, and has a title belt. He nails Hernandez, and Kaz rolls him up for the win.

-Hogan is out now, and claps for the champs. He then says that they won, but in the back, AJ Styles wants a fight with them. So at No Surrender, Hogan says they defend against AJ Styles and Kurt Angle for the titles.

-Aries and Mike from Aces and Eights walk.

-Aries drags Mike to the ring. He calls out Aces and Eights, and says it is let’s make a deal time. He knows they want Mike back, and says that he was more than happy to beat the information out of him. He will hand Mike over, in return for the guy that tried to break his arm, for a fight this Sunday.

Aries waits on them, saying he is done playing games and being attacked from behind. He asks if the mic is working since no one has arrived, and says his patience is running thin. He starts to attack Mike, and Mike says he will talk. The big guy from Aces and Eights arrives and saves Mike. He then lays out Mike with a hammer, and Aries dives to the floor and attacks! Into the ring they go and Aries with the low blow. They brawl back and forth…

-End scene….
