Tyson Kidd vs. Wade Barrett:   Didn’t we see this squash last week? Oh, it’s a rematch. Kidd opens with a side headlock but Wade battles back with a shoulderblock. They lock up and Barrett gets a hammerlock so Kidd steps through the ropes to reverse the hold. Kidd holds him in the ropes and laughs when Wade gets pissed. They go with a test of strength and Wade forces him down into a wicked bridge on the top of his noggin. Kidd powers up and spins around on his back and kicks Barrett’s hand. That annoys Barrett and Kidd gets some kicks out of that too. Barrett comes in with fists and works the arm with a wringer. Kidd uses an Owen Counter and armdrags Barrett to the floor. Kidd tries a pescado but lands on the apron; he tries that running knee but Barrett sweeps his legs out. Back in the ring, Barrett takes over and applies a double armlock. Kidd floats over in the corner and runs the ropes but Barrett cuts that flurry off with a nasty savate kick. Back from break, Kidd is entangled in a chinlock. He hits a backbreaker and makes fun off Kidd bouncing on one foot. Wade looks for the running boot off the apron but Kidd catches it and hits a Dragon Screw in the ropes. Ouch. Kidd kicks away at the limping Barrett. He knocks him into the 619 position and hits a slingshot low dropkick onto the apron. Kidd to the top and hits a missile dropkick… for two. Almost an upset. Tyson with a spin kick and hits the ropes but Barrett follows right behind him with a clothesline to the floor. Wade comes right out after him and tries a big boot against the ring barricade but Tyson moves and Barrett crotches himself. Kidd hops up onto the apron and CLOBBERS him with a running kick on the apron. Wow, that was deadly. Back in the ring, Kidd tries the slingshot elbow but Barrett puts a boot up… Kidd counters and tries the Sharpshooter… and he gets it! Barrett makes the ropes. He tries the slingshot guillotine legdrop but Barrett moves. Kidd slings himself back in and hits the ropes, running right into the Winds of Change. And he spiked him with it. Barrett adjusts the elbow pad and hits the Souvenir for the pinfall. 7/10 Excellent match. Kidd wasn’t winning, we know that, but this match was highly entertaining. Kidd controlled much of the offense and it was fun whilst it lasted.

Here is your winner… Wade Barrett @ about 10:50 (broadcast) via Souvenir pinfall.

The Raw rebound is all about Mr. McMahon’s “State of the WWE Address” and CM Punk’s slap and we will have to wait until the second set of highlights to see what happened; for my full review on that click here.

Justin Gabriel vs. Antonio Cesaro:   They lock up and Gabriel hits a chop; they wrestle onto the mat and Gabriel gets a head scissors. Cesaro bridges free and slaps on a chinlock. Gabriel turns it into an arm wringer until Cesaro punches him right in the mouth. They trade chops and in the corner. Gabriel stops a charge with a tip-over head scissors out of the corner sending Antonio to the floor. He looks for a pescado but Cesaro catches him in midair and powerslams him; he launches Gabriel into the ring barricade as we head for break. When we return Justin is trapped in a chinlock and begins to free himself but runs right into a vicious clothesline where he’s Jannettied down. Cesaro locks in a straitjacket chinlock. Gabriel fires back with a crucifix sunset for two. Cesaro blindsides him with a European uppercut; he nails the Cesaro Lift (the power gutwrench). Cesaro applies a side cravat headlock for a while. Gabriel rocks himself free and they trade blows; he looks for the roundhouse kick but Cesaro blocks it and tosses him into the corner. Gabriel makes another comeback and gets nailed with a top-rope Lionsault, for a close nearfall. Cesaro comes back with an elbow in the ropes but Gabriel avoids a charge; he gets backdropped onto the apron. Gabriel fires back with a second rope moonsault into a diving reverse DDT but the ref spots his foot on the ropes. Gabriel heads to the top but gets crotched and finished with the Neutralizer. 6/10 Good match, much like the first one, despite the obvious conclusion. The highflyer tag team is in singles action this week and jobs. Cesaro continues to look strong.

Here is your winner… Antonio Cesaro @ about 8:55 via Neutralizer pinfall.

We conclude with the Raw Rebound as we see the entire end of the Mr. McMahon/CM Punk match with John Cena and Ryback, Plus the ultimatum.

OVERALL 6.5/10 The two matches they had were excellent despite the far gone conclusion. Kidd and Gabriel are great at making anyone look good; problem there is that it is an unenviable thankless task. We get a lot of recaps from Raw as the WWE desperately tries to hammer home the CM Punk is a heel point. Good show for the in-ring wrestling parts.
