-Hello everyone, and welcome to tonight’s Monday Night Raw coverage!
– After having Hurricane Sandy doing tap dances all over the power lines in Massachusetts, I’m back and in full color baby! “Your Kennection to All Things Wrestling” Ken Hill here with LIVE coverage of Monday Night RAW!
– After being outwitted by Mick Foley in his selection of teammates for their upcoming 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Match, what will the respect-hoarding WWE Champion CM Punk have in store for the Hardcore Legend? Better yet, what will he do with the “Big Hungry” Ryback’s headlights squarely on him rather than in the rear view mirror?
– How will AJ and John Cena combat the rumors of an illicit affair, or has Vickie Guerrero stirred the pot too much for anything to really settle? And how does Dolph Ziggler factor into all of this?
– All of this and more as Raw begins shortly…
– We start with a recap of Foley revealing Ryback as the big-time player for his Survivor Series team.
– Backstage, Miz and Heyman argue over how Punk’s retreat was either cowardly or strategic. Heyman stresses they all need to be on the same page. Miz thinks otherwise and feels as far as the team is concerned, he QUITS! Wow, didn’t see that one coming…
– Interesting how similar the recap style is to Impact Wrestling’s…
Antonio and Cara start off. Cesaro floors the luchador, but Cara spins out and hits a headscissors. R-Truth in, but gets a headbutt from Cesaro. Cesaro tags in Young. Lock-up, Truth hits a shoulder block, hold the ropes on a Irish whip and hits a uppercut. Tag to Rey, who fires off a legdrop for a quick two count. Rey punches Young in the corner, but Darren reverses a hard whip into the corner turnbuckle. Titus in, but Rey floats over and under, makes the tag to Cara, and the two hit a double team kick for a two count. Cara with some more kicks and Truth is tagged in. The two teams bicker with each other as we go to break…
Back from break as Truth hits a jumping calf kick on Young. Cara in with some rights, reverses a whip into a springboard, gets caught, but lands on his feet from Young’s German attempt. Rey tagged in, double team head scissors sets Young for the 619. Cesaro makes the blind tag, though, and hits a sweet tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for a close two count. Titus in now with some big slams and he barks to the crowd. Cesaro in, with a front chancery to keep Rey away from his partners. Cesaro pushes Rey to the corner, Rey counters with a boot, hits a drop toe hold. Rey counters a grab by Cesaro into a DDT. Hot tag to Truth, who comes in with the Lie Detector, then a Suplex into a Stunner. Truth throws Titus over the rope, but Young breaks up the cover. Cara comes in and kicks him out of the ring. Cesaro whips Cara, who spins into a dizzying headscissor into the ropes, setting Cesaro up for the 619, followed by the Little Jimmy from R-Truth for three!

– Brad Maddox finally explains his actions at HITC and we hear about AJ in a “state of undress.” Me like!
– Raw is back and LIVE form Birmingham, England.
– Vickie and Dolph have been “pouring it on” as far as going to prove the affair between AJ and John Cena and apparently has “iron-clad proof.” Vickie comes out and says hanky-panky shouldn’t exist in the WWE workplace and Cena needs to be more professional. Seriously, this is building up to “Vickie’s a big hypocrite” punchline. Vickie goes through all the evidence she’s brought up. Vickie’s ready to drop her bombshell when Cena comes down to the ring, all no-nonsense. Vickie warns Cena that she wants a clean show. Cena lampshades the notion that Vickie wanting a clean show is like him learning another move, it’s not happening. Points for honesty. He points out her affairs with Edge and Ziggler. Vickie tells him not to turn this around on her, and shows the footage of AJ in a bathrobe going into a room. Cena says that means nothing. Vickie shows another angle of the same hallway of Cena in a towel hanging a sign. Again, Cena knows it means nothing and sarcastically applauds Vickie for manipulating the truth. Vickie asks for AJ, who’s on the Titantron, saying VIckie doesn’t want her out there or she’ll beat the crap out of her, but end up fired from what she loves. Dolph comes in and drapes an arm over her, saying everyone knows what she REALLY likes to do. That tone has Cena marching up the ramp as Vickie laughs her head off and we go to commercial…
– Advert for the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund
– Heyman in the back saying how conniving Miz is and says he needs someone like this man, who turns out to be Wade Barrett. He initially refuses, but says yes on the condition that Heyman owes him…and he wants that in writing. Smart guy.
This crowd is MOLTEN hot for Bryan as Rhodes hits a uppercut to start, but Bryan comes back with a floatover and clothesline. Kicks by Bryan, Rhodes reverses, but Bryan ducks him over the ropes. Rhodes bumps into Kane, who chases him, but gets waylaid by Sandow. Bryan takes out Sandow, but Rhodes hits a Disaster Kick off the barricade and throws Bryan back in the ring for the Cross Rhodes for the quick win.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
– Cody brags how he and Sandow will be future tag champs and that Sandow can beat Kane just as easily as he beat Bryan. Kane takes exception, palming Sandow’s head and dragging him into the ring. Damien begs off as we go to break…
Back from commercial, as Kane beats down Sandow and drops an elbow for a two count. Sandow gets back body dropped and Kane pelts him with uppercuts in the corner. Elbows and rights to Sandow, who comes back with some forearms, but Kane cuts him off. Sandow reverses a corner whip with an elbow. Kane counters with a boot. Cody on the apron, but Bryan pulls him down to beat on him. Both men in and out of the ring, and the ref ejects Cody and Bryan. Sandow tries to beg off, but Kane hits some corner clotheslines and an sideslam, then the top rope clothesline, and the chokeslam puts Sandow for three.
Winner: Kane
– Renegade referee Brad Maddox explains his actions…NEXT!
– Back in Birmingham with Michael Cole in the ring, who introduces Brad Maddox, who comes out a vest, plaid shirt and dress pants. Cole shows the footage from HITC. He questions Maddox’s logic for the decision he made, and wonders if he’s in cahoots with Punk and Heyman. Maddox vehemently denies it, and tries to explain how he always tried to be a WWE Superstar, only to have the door shut in his face, and had to pay big money just for a tryout, and ended up with a developmental contract. He wonders if it was because he wasn’t big, or a freak, or wore a mask, or had a mohawk. He made a vow to do whatever it took to get to the WWE, why he became a referee, and he knew he had a chance to make an impact when AJ hired him. He knows what he did wasn’t right, and Punk honestly had no idea what Maddox had done. Brad just wanted to be somebody, and now he is somebody. Everyone knows his name, even here in England. He demands a contract and a match with Ryback, because no one will forget his name now. Vince’s music hits, and Maddox is in BIG trouble now.
– Vince says there’s a difference between being famous and having a death wish. He actually will give Maddox a million-dollar contract if he can beat Ryback, but tells him to get out of his ring. Vince brings out Vickie, and badgers her about the Survivor Series match with Punk hiding behind four other man and “convinces” her that Ryback deserves a rematch…and in the her infinite “fairness”, inserts John Cena to make it a triple threat WWE Championship match. Well, that just about mucks the PPV up, don’t it?
The World Champion Big Show comes out right after Miz’s entrance. We flashback to HITC, where Show nailed the KO Punch twice for the victory and the title, and joins on commentary for the Sheamus-Miz match.
Sheamus with a shoulder block, then a headlock takeover for a quick 1 count. He hits another shoulder block. Miz’s arm drag blocked into a clothesline by Sheamus. Miz to the outside, and back in the ring. Sheamus knocks him and hits some elbows for a two count. Miz fires back with some rights, but Sheamus comes back with an elbow and a Finlay Roll. Miz comes back with a boot for a 1 count, and lays the rights into Sheamus. Sheamus back suplex countered by Miz, but his suplex is countered onto the ropes. Sheamus hits his Ten Shots, and Miz falls to the floor. Sheamus stares down Show, and Miz shoves him into the announce table. Miz rolls him back into the ring for a two count, and locks in a chin lock as we go to break…
Back from commercial as Miz hits his corner splash clothesline and top-rope axe handle for a two count. Miz drops Sheamus on the ring apron and whips him into the steps. Miz rolls back in and covers Sheamus for a two count. Miz locks in a full-body sleeper, but Sheamus drops his weight on him. Sheamus tries to mount offense, but Miz hits his back-and-neckbreaker combo for a near fall. Miz with more rights and drops his body on Sheamus. Sheamus comes back with an Irish Hammer and a knee lift. Miz counters with a boot, but Sheamus fires back with a powerslam for a two count. Miz counters a charge, but Sheamus floats over and hits a top-rope shoulder block for a two count. Sheamus fires up, but Miz cuts him off with a snap DDT for a near fall. Sheamus tries the Brogue Kick, misses, Miz goes for the SCF, but Sheamus rolls out. Miz to the corner, and counters with a kick to the leg and face. Sheamus comes back with White Noise and the Brogue Kick for three! Great match.
Winner: Sheamus
– Backstage with Dolph Ziggler outside of Mr. McMahon’s office. Vickie emerges, and has good news: Ziggler is now leading the Survivor Series team against Team Foley. Punk comes in and sarcastically says how great all of this is, how it’s just another way that a egomaniac like Vince can stick it to him. Vickie says to look on the bright side, as for the first time, Punk and Ziggler will face the team of Ryback and John Cena tonight on RAW. Ziggler and Punk both wonder what’s wrong with her as we go to commercial…
– Sheamus backstage with Regal, who gives him congratulations on the match with Miz. Sheamus thanks him, but tells him to wait until Survivor Series when he wins the championship back. Regal offers to take him out for a pint, and Sheamus gladly accepts.
– Replay of the footage of AJ and Cena in the hotel hallway as Vickie badgers the both of them.
Aksana and Layla start off. Aksana with a knee, but Layla floats into a cover for two. A pair of takedowns gets a two count for Layla. Aksana knocks Layla off the second rope for a near fall. Aksana with couple of covers, then a hair pull for a two count. Choke in the corner, and Eve tags in, locking in a sleeper hold on the turnbuckle. Front headlock by Eve, who taunts Kaitlyn with a tag. Snapmare by Eve, Layla dodges into a roll up for a near fall. Eve with a shoulder block, and taunts Kaitlyn with a booty pop, but gets kicked by Layla. Kaitlyn in, hits a couple of clothesline and a power mover, which Aksana breaks up. Layla takes Aksana out of the ring. Meanwhile, Kaitlyn hits a sit-out powerslam on Eve and pins the Divas Champion!

– Backstage with Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Roderiguez, as Del Rio’s in action…NEXT!
Lock up and exchange by the two men. Headlock takeover by Del Rio. Shoulder block by Del Rio, Kingston floats over and hits a dropkick for two. Del Rio with a front headlock, Kofi reverses into a keylock. Del Rio backs him into the corner and lays in some boots. Kofi reverses a whip, hits the split punches, then a uppercut for two. Kofi reverses a whip into a headscissors. Another float over by Kofi, but Ricardo distracts him and Del Rio knocks him off into the barricade. Back in the ring, Del Rio locks in a body scissors. Kofi fights out, but Alberto hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for two. More kicks for a two count. Del Rio locks the body scissors back in, Kofi counters into a roll up for a near fall. Del Rio lays him out with more boots and kicks and chokes Kofi in the ropes. He wrenches Kofi’s arm in the ropes, but misses a shoulder into the ring post. Kofi with chops and dropkicks. Superman punch, followed by the Boom Drop. Trouble in Paradise misses, Cross Arm Breaker countered into the SOS for a near fall. Kofi stops a corner charge, but misses the corss body. Del Rio goes for the kill, but Orton’s music hits. Del Rio looks around, no Orton to be found, and Kofi rolls him up for the three! Orton in with the RKO from behind shortly after, sending a message to Del Rio for their Falls Count Anywhere match tomorrow night on Smackdown.

– Recap of Maddox’s explanation and demands for a contract and match with Ryback, followed by Vince McMahon’s challenge to Maddox.
Santino and Primo start it out, exchanging arm wringers and wrist locks. Santino turns it into a headlock and a takeover. Primo with a right, but Santino counters the whip with some power walking. Ryder gets tagged in with a sunset flip for a two count. Flapjack gets another Ryder near fall. Primo counters, and tags in Epico, who lays the boots to Zack, then Primo tags in and hits a senton for a two count. Zack with an inside cradle, but the ref’s distracted and misses the count. Epico tags in and nails Zack with a dropkick for two. Primo tags in with a snapmare and kick for two. Primo locks in a chin lock, Zack counters out with a neckbreaker. Epico and Santino in, Santino hits his punch-arm drag-heabutt combo, but Primo breaks it up. Ryder takes Primo out with the Rough Ryder, hits double knees on Epico, who falls victim to the…COBRA!!!…for three.

Safe to say the Funkateers are outnumbered in Birmingham. Brodus with knees and punches to the midsection, followed by the T-Bone suplex and legdrop for a two count. Barrett counters out of nowhere with the Winds of Change and lays in the right hands. Barrett drops Clay on the apron and hit some knees. Barrett brings him back in for a front chancery, but Brodus comes back with a clothesline, headbutt, splash, but misses the second splash, and Barrett nails the Souvenir Elbow for the emphatic three.
Winner: Wade Barrett
– Jerry Lawler returns 2 months following his near-fatal heart attack
Jey with a slap to Slater, followed by a body slam and a knee drop. Knockdown, then some punches in the corner. Slater counters with a boot, clothesline, then locks in a rear chinlock. He pulls Jey’s hair for a takedown. Slater reverses a whip to the corner for a near fall, and back to the chinlock. Jey fights out, but Slater hits a stiff kick for another near fall. Slater crimps Jey’s neck in the headlock. Jey counters out, nails a kick, then a big savate kick. Slater gets the knees up on the Superfly Splash and hits an Impaler DDT called the “Smash Hit” for the three count.

– Main Event Tag Team Action is up…NEXT!!!
– The WWE Champion out with Heyman. Punk recaps his victory over Ryback, and how everyone’s been pointing fingers since then. He laments how Team Punk’s been demoted to Team Ziggler and that Vince is reliving his “favorite pastime” of screwing over prime time talent. He points out his 351-day reign and how he’s survived, fought, and excelled up to that point. He’ll be here after the PPV to celebrate his 1-year reign as WWE Champion and the BEST IN THE WORLDDDDDD!. Dolph, Cena, and Ryback’s music hit as the main event begins shortly…
Punk and Cena renew their rivalry as they start off. Cena and Punk exchange holds, headlocks, and Cena comes out with a shoulder block. Punk tags to Ziggler, who gets arm dragged by Cena. Front headlock by Cena countered into right hands by Ziggler, but Cena comes back with the bulldog. Ziggler tags to Punk, who gets suplexed by Cena, but comes back with a calf kick and lays the boots to Cena. Ziggler in with a MULTITUDE of elbows followed by a big elbow for a two count, Ziggler with a dropkick, and tags in Punk, who hits the running knee to Cena.. High knees lead into the GTS, but Cena slips out, only to get dropped with a roundhouse for two. Front headlock by Punk. Cena counters with the AA. Ziggler tags in and stops the tag from Cena to Ryback. Cena reverses a whip into an elbow on Ziggler. Ziggler stops Cena’s tag again with the Famouser for a near fall. Punk tags in, hits a kick for a two count, then figure-fours Cena’s head. John powers up into an electric chair. Punk stops Cena with a shoulder into the corner. Ziggler tags in, and hits a kick to Cena’s head. Standing dropkick by Ziggler gets a near fall. Ziggler up top and misses the missile dropkick. RYBACK’S LOOSE! Clotheslines, knockdowns, and a press slam to Ziggler on top of Punk. Meathook clothesline to Punk, Shellshock, and Ryback gets three!
Winners: John Cena & Ryback
– Cena and Ryback have a stare down following the match. Cena looks on warily as Ryback bares a toothy, hungry grin and leads the chant of “FEED! ME! MORE!” Methinks Punk’s not the only course on Ryback’s menu now…
