411’s IMPACT WRESTLING REPORT 12.13.12 (Episode 440)

Reminder, I do not rate matches that are under three minutes long…

-Opening video package.

-We are LIVE via tape from Orlando!

-Bobby Roode makes his way to the ring, and he doesn’t look happy. Roode says he admits that he is taken back and confused, and a whole lot pissed off. He is trying to figure out what happened at the PPV. He considers himself an intelligent business man, and he made a big investment in the world title and promised he would win the title. It didn’t happen, he made a deal with Aces and 8s, and a deal is a deal, so right now, he wants answers. He calls out Aces and 8s for answers.

The music for Aces and 8s hits and here they come, led by Devon and Doc. Devon says Roode has to understand that a better deal came up, and they took it. Roode questions what the better deal is, and Devon says that they like to do business with business people, and they got a better deal. Roode says they had a deal for a lot of money, and Devon says that when a deal is made, they do not like to talk about their business. That’s the way they do things in the club. They start to surround and enter the ring, and Devon says they cannot tell him, but they will say that later tonight, he may get his answer.

Jeff Hardy is out with James Storm and says he is sick of the thugs jumping him. They charge the ring and brawl with Aces and 8s and clear the ring.

-Velvet Sky discusses her return last week, and next week she will be part of Championship Thursday. She says we will see a different side of her, and she is ready to let the pigeons loose.

-We see highlights of Mickie James, discussing letting her fans down at Final Resolution. She wanted to make an impact, and she thought she had it all covered, but she is disappointed in herself.

Taryn Terrell is the official. Rayne talks shit before the match, and here we go. Rayne attacks Sky from behind, to the corner and Sky slams Rayne to the corner, to another and then repeatedly slams Rayne to the buckle. Snap mare, off the ropes and a kick to the back, and then the Hennig neck flip connects and a cover gets 2. Rayne counters Sky, stands on her hair and then tells Terrell she had till five! -Kaz and Daniels walk, and are asked about the Aces and 8s payoff. They are friends with Roode and wouldn’t have done that to him. Daniels says he was concerned with AJ Styles Sunday night, and then they say it was likely AJ who paid off Aces and 8s, because to get something he wants, he always has to pay.

-We get a video package of Joe, Angle, Wes and Garett vs. Aces and 8s from the PPV.

Jeff Hardy and James Storm vs. Doc and a Masked Member of Aces and Eights

It’s the bigger masked guy as the partner for Doc, who is reportedly Mike Knox. Storm and Doc to begin, they start to brawl and Storm take shim to the corner and unloads with rights. Off the ropes and a clothesline by Storm. Tag to Jeff, but Doc is able to tag his partner. Off the ropes and a flying forearm by Jeff. Corner clothesline, and the head scissors follows. The masked man to the floor, dropkick by Jeff and them flies off the apron with a clothesline to wipe out both members of Aces and 8s.

~commercial time~

We are back from commercial as the masked man clotheslines Jeff from the apron. Jeff to the floor, and the masked man lays the boots to him. -Devon has the mic and says that they do not fight for others. Devon says that Austin Aries paid them off.

-Hogan is backstage and pissed to find out that Aries paid off Aces and 8s. Roode arrives and is pissed, and Hogan says Roode is in the same boat. Aries calls Hogan and Hogan says he wants to see him tonight, and he will let him speak his mind, but he wants answers by the end of the night. Roode yells at Hogan and says he better have a plan.

-We get a video package of Daniels defeating AJ at the PPV.

-AJ Styles makes his way to the ring. Styles says that he demanded this time to talk to the people. He doesn’t have to tell us how long he has been here or anything like that. “You still got it” chants, and Styles says he is not going anywhere. The truth is that he doesn’t know where he is going, and has no idea what his next step is. He had to be the corporate guy and taking care of others, but he has forgotten about #1, he forgot about himself. He is here to tell us that this has nothing to do with the crowd, the Impact Zone, Dixie Carter, and nothing to do with Impact wrestling 9he takes off his TNA hat and shirt). This is all about AJ Styles. He is sick and tired of cleaning up every TNA mess, and tired of dong he right thing. So from now on, he will do his own thing.

-Dixie Carter meets with AJ, and asks what is wrong. He tosses his TNA shirt at her and bails.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Kenny King @ 6:00 via pin
RATING: **½

-King celebrates on the floor, but RVD was not impressed by his shenanigans.

-Bully Ray meets with Hogan and asks if Hogan has changed his mind. Hogan says Ray is making problems by not coming to Hulk about his relationship with Brooke. Hogan blames Ray for Brooke getting involved at the PPV. Hogan hasn’t changed his mind about Ray, or the situation with his daughter. Ray says she may like him, and maybe she is the one making the moves. Hulk calls him MARK, and Ray stops him and says that she was apologizing for Hulk treating him like shit. Hulk says if he is wrong, then he doesn’t need to see or talk to her again. Ray says all he tried to do is top Aries and respect Brooke by protecting her. He should be on Team Hogan for everything he did for him and the company. Ray says he always respected Hulk since day one, and what Brooke does is her business, because she is a grown woman. Ray leaves, Hulk calls it “weak.”

-Devon defends the TV Title next week against Kurt Angle.

Ray looks insulted that he chopped him, and kicks Jesse in the face. Ray chokes out Jesse in the corner, and then chops him insanely hard. Another sick chop by Ray, they chant for another and Tara sneaks in to distract Ray. He threatens to chop her, and she takes a bump the floor. Jesse attacks, beats Ray down and is pissed that Ray threatened Tara. Dropkick by Jesse, and Ray starts to bleed a little from his PPV wounds. Jesse poses, elbows connect and then hit another dropkick. Ray battles back with some sick chops, but a clothesline by Jesse levels Ray. Forearms follow, to the corner and Jesse chokes him out with the boot. Back elbows by Jesse, he distracts the ref and Tara chokes Ray in the ropes. Another dropkick by Jesse, and he poses a bit. Ray battles back, Bully cutter connects and that is all.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Bully Ray @ 6:00 via pin
RATING: **

-After the match, Ray yells to Hogan, “WHAT’S IT GONNA TAKE HULK? WHAT’S IT GONNA TAKE”

-Austin Aries arrives, and tells the camera guy to back off, because he is headed to the ring to tell the world everything. Not sure we have that much time left.

-A reckoning comes 1.03.13. Vengeance and such.

-We get a video of the Final Resolution main event, where Aces and 8s refused to help Roode, after he had paid them off. Aces and 8s then attacked Hardy and Roode to close out the PPV.

-Austin Aries makes his way to the ring. Aries says he is not surprised that the news is out that he paid off Aces and 8s. He knows Roode is upset, but as a man that is doing anything to get the title and knows that money talks, but Aries’ money sings and it sang loud and clear to Aces and 8s. He isn’t surprised that they broke the news, there is no honor among thieves, but they did get the job done. Six months ago, he fought Hogan’s battle against Aces and 8s. But it wasn’t his battle, and he didn’t get paid for it. He fought Hogan’s battle, and after he did the dirty work, Hogan tossed him aside for the Jeff Hardy bandwagon. Aries doesn’t forgive or forget, and that is what he has been doing all of this as of late, stirring the pot, because he wants his shot at the title.

Jeff Hardy limps his way out to the ring (he has a cut under his right eye from his match earlier), and says Aries hired a gang to help him win back the belt, and that is pathetic. Aries just has to ask for a shot. Aries asks if he will have to have some kind of wild dragon slayer match this time? Because he always has to jump through hoops around here. Hardy just says to show up next week, and Hardy vs. Aries III for the title will happen. Aries says hardy wants it here in front of Hardy’s fans. Well they may want to see it, and Aries says he doesn’t do what the fans want, or what Hardy wants. He does things on his time, and when he wants to do it. Hardy attacks Aries, and they brawl. Hardy gets the twist of fate, but Aries escapes before Hardy can land the swanton.

-End scene….
