Commentators: Matt Striker & Tony Dawson

Championship’s roll call: WWE Champion: The Rock… World Champion: Alberto Del Rio… Intercontinental Champion: Wade Barrett… United States Champion: Antonio Cesaro… Tag Team Champions: Team Hell No… NXT Champion: Big E Langston… NXT Tag Team Champions: Adrian Neville & Oliver Grey… Diva’s Champion: Kaitlyn

Justin Gabriel vs. Titus O’Neil:   No Darren Young with O’Neil this week. Pre-match, Titus blows his whistle and scolds the fans for booing him… especially considering he’s a proud Florida Gator. He mocks the Tennesseans and makes fun of Jerry Lawler’s “washrag” comments. He says he will win and make millions of dollars. He tries to lead the crowd in a Gator Chop (this is in Tennessee Volunteers country) but is interrupted by Gabriel’s music. They lock up and O’Neil misses a clothesline in the corner; Titus tries a powerslam but Gabriel slips free again. Gabriel winds up on the apron where he low bridges the top rope to counter a big boot; Gabriel dropkicks him to the floor and hits a somersault plancha. We head to break and return with O’Neil in control, hammering Gabriel in the back with forearms. He gets a two count and then applies the abdominal stretch. Gabriel begins to stir so Titus clotheslines him. O’Neil continues to clubber away on the downed “Capetown Werewolf” and hits a backbreaker. He keeps on Gabriel until Justin begins a comeback with kicks; he tries a second-rope crossbody but Titus catches him in midair and launches him with a standing fall-away slam. Gabriel then tries a springboard move but O’Neil “defends” with a big boot. He’s a former football player so his moves are all X’s and O’s. Unfortunately for Titus, Gabriel surprises him with a kick to the head and X’s him out with a 450 Splash for the sudden pinfall.   6/10 I rate it high because it was a rare Gabriel win, actually I cannot remember the last pinfall victory in a singles match. O’Neil is going to toil until Young comes back and he’s not really been winning then either. This is the prototypical Superstars match.

Here is your winner… Justin Gabriel via 450 Splash pinfall

We get the entire match from Raw and subsequent Shield promo from Raw. Here’s my recap from my review, for that full review click here.

John Cena, Sheamus & Ryback vs. 3MB:   I don’t see this going well for the band. Ryback opens with Slater; Heath air guitars and then PUSHES his former Nexus teammate. Ryback kicks him in the gut and press-slams him. Sheamus tags in as does McIntyre; Sheamus pounds away in the corner. Drew gets a knee up in the corner but Sheamus deposits him onto the apron and gives him O’Clubbering. Here’s Cena but he gets to face Mahal. Jinder SLAPS Cena so he gets pulverized with a clothesline, Proto-bomb and Five Knuckle Shuffle. The rest of 3MB run in as do the other babyfaces. Cena, Sheamus and Ryback nail their respective finishers on 3MB in unison and Cena gets the pinfall on Mahal. Post-match, Ryback says that he will feast on the Shield on Sunday. Sheamus believes the three of them will serve justice tonight. Cena says he knows the Shield is here so he challenges them to come get some.   5/10 The match was just a squash to put these three in the ring together. The promo was short and to the point as well.

Here are your winners… John Cena, Sheamus & Ryback via AA pinfall

The Shield enters through the crowd to address the WWE Universe; the commentators feel that they are “exposing themselves” to an attack. Ambrose notes they are united in shielding against atrocities in the WWE. Rollins adds that John Cena, Ryback and Sheamus fired threats at them; when they want to make a point they do it through actions. Reigns questions the logic of threatening the Shield and calls out Cena. Ambrose calls it empty threats; Reigns notes that Cena failed to take the Shield out with help of the ENTIRE roster. Rollins calls Cena a failure at life and will fail in ending the Shield on Sunday. Ambrose feels Cena lives in a bubble where actions have no consequences and they call it the “John Cena Problem.” Reins calls them “the solution.” Rollins says Cena paved the way for the Sheamuses and Rybcaks for the past decade. Ambrose says that they will drown Cena on Sunday… BELIEVE IN THE SHIELD! They call out Cena and Company once again but no one answers… until the lights go out and Cena, Ryback and Sheamus are in the ring brawling. Ryback KILLS Ambrose with a Meat Hook; the Shield makes a hasty escape in the crowd but they babyface give chase and a huge brawl breaks out among the people.   7.5/10 That was some promo from these three; the brawl was also a fantastic way to build the six-man tag at the Chamber.

Natalya Neidhart vs. Kaitlyn:   WWE logic: the challenger for the title wrestles on SmackDown and wins a squash and the champion, who hasn’t been seen on TV for three weeks, gets a match on WWE Superstars; a show no one but me watches. They lock up and Kaitlyn tries a waistlock but Nattie counters quickly and applies a leglock. Kaitlyn reverses into a neck scissors and they stalemate. Kaitlyn comes back with a front facelock and segues into a armbar. The commentators pay zero attention to the match and go off on tangents about pioneers of the divas division and Bruno Sammartino. Nattie comes back with a discus clothesline and tries a pinfall but the kickout puts her on her ass… literally. Natalya gets mad and slaps on a Danielson Surfboard. Kaitlyn’s winces in pain look like she’s smiling. She powers Kaitlyn into the corner but gets forced away; Kaitlyn then gets a nice second rope sunset flip but Nattie rolls through and tries the Sharpshooter but Kaitlyn makes the ropes. Neidhart tries a suplex but Kaitlyn small packages her; she powers her up into a Samoan Drop but Nattie counters and tries the Sharpshooter again. Kaitlyn pushes her off and hits a spear for three.   1.5/10 At least it was kept short. As noted earlier, the WWE puts ZERO effort into the divas (except on NXT) so it leads to crappy squashes every other week that no one cares about.

Here is your winner… Kaitlyn via spear pinfall

The show ends with story time with the Rock and subsequent CM Punk attack and WWE Championship belt theft.

OVERALL 3.5/10   Nothing too special this week unless you love Justin Gabriel and want to see him get a clean win over a Superstar. The Raw recaps are helpful if you missed the show. The divas match was rubbish.
