Sheamus vs. Damien Sandow

Sandow takes control at the start and muscles Sheamus to the corner. Sheamus fights back with a volley of forearm shots to the back. Sheamus locks in an arm wringer, releases the hold, heads up top, and connects with a top rope battering ram for a two count. The action spills to the outside, and Sheamus whips Sandow into the guardrail. Sheamus begins to drag Sandow back to his feet, but Sandow counters and whips Sheamus shoulder-first into the ring post. Sandow rolls Sheamus back into the ring and gets a one count. Sandow locks in a rear chin lock, but Sheamus fights back to his feet and breaks the hold. Sandow heads up top, but Sheamus catches him with a snap mare takedown off the top rope. Sandow regains control with the side Russian leg sweep and follows up with the Cubito Aequet for a two count. Sandow goes back to the rear chin lock as we go to commercial. Seriously, a commercial on the kickoff show. I can’t make this stuff up. We come back from the break with both men down on the canvas. Sheamus connects with a running double ax handle, but Sandow retaliates with a neck breaker for a two count. Sandow heads out to the ring apron, but Sheamus catches him and pounds on his chest. Sheamus drags Sandow back into the ring but only gets a two count. Sheamus heads up top and looks for another top rope battering ram, but Sandow counters into a neck breaker off the top rope. Sandow follows up with the Terminus but only gets a two count. Sandow drags Sheamus back to his feet and goes to work with knees to the head. Sandow takes Sheamus up top and hits a sweet top rope arm drag takedown. Sandow heads for Sheamus but walks right into three consecutive Irish Curse backbreakers. Sheamus follows up with the Brogue Kick for the three count.

WWE IC Title Match: Wade Barrett © vs. The Miz vs. Curtis Axel w/Paul Heyman

And here we go with our opening match. Axel tossed to the floor early allowing Mix and Barrett to work. Miz with a near fall on the roll up, but Axel distracts him and Barrett takes control. Miz tossed to the floor, then tosses Axel back into the ring, allows Barrett to work him over and then returns to work over Barrett. Barrett counters the finale, and then lays out Miz with a big boot and covers for 2. Axel sent to the floor, Barrett works over Miz again as Heyman offers Axel advice. Barrett lays Miz in the corner, works some body shots and punts Miz in the gut and covers for 2. Axel thinks about getting involved, doesn’t as Barrett lands a sidekick to the gut of Miz. Axel caught by Barrett on the way in, clinch and knees by Barrett. Miz then sneaks over and rolls up Barrett for 2. Barrett levels him with a clothesline, misses a boot and Axel, who then tosses Barrett to the floor. Back breaker by Miz, but Axel battles back with the dropkick. Axel lays the boots to Miz in the corner, gets the Hennig neck flip and covers for 2. Miz back with punches, but a knee by Axel as Miz charges in allows Axe to cover for 2. Axel still in control, Barrett nowhere to be seen at this point. Rights by Axel, but now Miz back with lefts. Off the ropes, but Axel hits an belly to back throw on Miz, and Barrett makes the save. He works over Axel in the corner, but then Miz cuts him off and works over both men with clotheslines and knees. He tosses Axel into Barrett, hits the corner clothesline on Barrett. Axel moved, Miz back with rights and the ax handle off the ropes. Boot to the head by Miz and a cover on Axel for 2. Miz fails at the figure four, winds of change by Barrett for 2. Perfectplex try countered by Barrett, knocks Miz down and looks for wasteland, but then Axel hits the perfectplex and Miz makes the save at the last minute. Miz counters a suplex, skull-crushing finale on Axel, Barrett tosses Mz to the floor and covers Axel for 2 as Miz pulls him to the floor. He slams Barrett to the apron, in and covers Axel for a close 2. Miz works the leg of Axel in the corner, looks for the figure four, Axel kicks Miz into Barrett, Axel then tossed to the floor and Miz gets the figure four on Barrett. Barrett fights, and Axel in and covers Barrett while in the hold and steals the win!

-Heyman and Axel celebrate the victory.

-We get a Mark Henry video package. He returns tomorrow night.

-Heyman and Axel walk, and he tells Axel that the win was perfect. They run into Triple H, who stares down with Axel. Vince arrives and congratulates Axel and Heyman. They bail as Vince hypes the match for tomorrow night between Triple H and Axel. Triple H says he isn’t feeling it and says “nope.”

Divas Title Match: Kaitlyn © vs. AJ w/Big E Langston

Kaitlyn attacks after AJ slaps her, and they spill to the floor. Kaitlyn tosses AJ over the announcer’s table and then tosses her back into the ring. Clubbing shots by Kaitlyn, back to the floor and AJ dropkicks Kaitlyn from the apron. Back into the ring they go, and a cover by AJ gets 2. AJ now chokes out Kaitlyn, and covers for 2. Cravat by AJ, Kaitlyn works to her feet and elbows out. Off the ropes, back elbow by AJ and a cover gets 2. Neck breaker by AJ, another and a cover gets 2. AJ yells at Kaitlyn a bit, lays in some kicks and Kaitlyn back with rights. Off the ropes and a sleeper applied by AJ. She back packs onto Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn drops to a knee, but then powers back up and slams AJ to the corner. AJ with a kick to the back of the head and covers for 2. Kaitlyn tries to battle back, clotheslines to AJ. Big shoulder block connects and Kaitlyn covers for 2. AJ with a crucifix for 2, but Kaitlyn roll sand picks up AJ and gets the toss into the gut buster. AJ grabs the ropes, the ref separates them but AJ’s belt came off. The ref is distracted, AJ nails Kaitlyn with it and pulls an Eddie Guerrero and flops down. She then crawls over, and covers but only for 2. AJ is pissed, heads up top and flies onto Kaitlyn, who catches her and sins her around, but AJ locks in the octopus hold. Kaitlyn fades, but then powers back up and escapes and counters with a back breaker. SPEAR on AJ and Kaitlyn stares at AJ and then blows her a kiss and slams her head to the mat and covers, but only gets 2. Kaitlyn picks up AJ, who then escapes and Kaitlyn misses a spear and hits the corner and is down. AJ then locks in the octopus hold again, and Kaitlyn again tries to fight out but fades again and has to tap.

OFFICIAL RESULT: AND NEW CHAMPION AJ @ 9:00 via submission

-Big E Langston claps at ringside for AJ.

-Kaitlyn breaks down after the loss as Layla consoles her. They walk backstage, and Alicia and Natalya join in to console her, but Kaitlyn wants none of it.

-We go to Josh Matthews, Big Show, R Truth and Cody Rhodes, who were the pre-show team.

-We get a video for the Wyatt family.

US Title Match: Dean Ambrose © vs. Kane

Ambrose is on his own, as Rollins and Reigns came out for the beginning of the intro, but as they have recently, returned to the back. Ambrose tries to take the fight to Kane, which fails as Kane runs wild with rights and clotheslines. A suplex by Kane connects and a cover gets 2. Kane works the Chinlock, Ambrose to his feet and escapes. Jabs to Kane by Ambrose, off the ropes but Kane then catches him with a side back breaker. Kane slams Ambrose to the corner, delivers body shots and then shoulder blocks. Uppercut by Kane, to the other corner and Ambrose hits hard and drops to the mat. Boot by Kane, off the ropes and Ambrose dropkicks the knee to stop Kane’s momentum. Dragon screw leg whip by Ambrose, works Kane over, delivers a Muta-like quick elbow drop and covers for 2. Kane battles back, powerslams Ambrose down and favors the left leg due to the damage Ambrose has done. Kane up top now, slow going, which allows Ambrose to stop him and then he heads up top with Kane. Kane knocks him to the mat, but then misses the clothesline off the ropes. Ambrose hits an uppercut off the ropes and covers for 2. Ambrose now works a dragon sleeper, Kane works to escape so Ambrose transitions to the sleeper and climbs on Kane’s back. Kane is able to break it by slamming Ambrose to the corner, charges in and eats an elbow. Off the ropes and an uppercut by Kane stops the attack of Ambrose. Kane back with a knee to the gut and then a boot and basement dropkick, and covers for 2. Off the ropes, sunset flip try by Ambrose, goozled and pulled up. Ambrose escapes, knee to the gut and hits a dropkick and covers for 2. Ambrose now does the cutthroat and tries the old school to mock Taker, but Kane slams him to the mat as he will have none of that. Corner clothesline by Kane, another and then the side slam connects and Kane covers for 2. Kane up top, clothesline connects this time. He sets for the chokeslam, but Ambrose tries to bail. Ambrose then stuns Kane on the ropes but is sent to the floor. Kane follows, Ambrose slaps him and laughs. Kane goes batshit and takes apart the Spanish announce table. Ambrose then gets a DDT on the floor, gets back in the ring and sores the win via countout.

-We get a video package for…Rob Van Dam! He returns at Money in the Bank.

World Title Match: Dolph Ziggler © w/AJ and Big E Langston vs. Alberto Del Rio w/Ricardo Rodriguez

Ziggler bails early to the floor, back in and to the corner with Del Rio, beats him down with rights. Off the ropes, tilt a whirl back breaker by Del Rio and Ziggler bails back to the floor. He huddles up with his team, back in and they lock up. To the corner, cheap shots by Ziggler and then Del Rio uses kicks to fight back. The crowd gives no fucks about this match and chants for RVD. Del Rio beats down Ziggler in the corner with kicks, and then hits a belly to back suplex and covers for 2. Ziggler connects with a dropkick, and then charges Del Rio, but is sent over the ropes and to the floor. Del Rio slams him to the announcer’s table a few times as they discuss the concussion that kept Dolph out of action. Langston gets involved and shoves Del Rio, and the ref then tosses him to the back. As this happens, Ziggler fights back and slams Del Rio to the table and takes control back. AJ tries to check on Ziggler, and as he re-enters the ring Del Rio kicks him in the head and then head butts him a bunch of times, attacking the head and neck to play up the concussion that kept Ziggler out of action. Del Rio in control, but Ziggler counters a suplex into a sleeper. Del Rio gets to his feet and slams Ziggler head first into the corner to break the hold. Del Rio then kicks Ziggler in the head, and then works shots to the back while Ziggler is trapped in the ropes and then hits him in the back of the head and lands a back stabber and covers for 2. Ziggler trying to fight back, counters a tilt a whirl, but they pretty much blow the fameasser off of that, but Ziggler covers for 2. Ziggler heads up top, Del Rio stops that and follows him up. Del Rio hits a reverse suplex off the ropes and covers for a close 2. Del Rio dropkicks Ziggler to the floor, the ref again check son Ziggler as Del Rio then kicks him in the face. The trainer is over to check on Ziggler, which the crowd hates. Ziggler demands to continue as Del Rio kicks him in the back of the head again. Ricardo yells for Del Rio to roll Ziggler back in the ring and they continue. Del Rio sets, enziguri to Ziggler and covers for a close 2. Del Rio is pissed. He attacks the back of Ziggler’s head with rights and lefts. Del Rio backs off and has a smug look, Ziggler again battles back with the zigzag and both men are down. Del Rio back with another kick to the head of Ziggler, and that is all.

Judging by the work (the “face” working over Ziggler’s concussion, Ziggler as the “heel” resiliently fighting back and refusing to quit) and commentary (putting over Ziggler’s fighting spirit), they look to be doing a double turn. Del Rio is better as a heel, people want to cheer Dolph, not the worst idea. Just my opinion.

-The trainer attends to Ziggler as AJ looks sad that he lost. Crowd chants for Ziggler as he gets help to the back and is upset that he lost.

-Back to Matthews and the crew to discuss what just happened.

-Del Rio cuts a promo about being the new champion, and the fact that he always did things for the fans. He asks for their support tonight, because he is the best and always gives 100%. Tonight, he feels that he deserves to be their champion. Completely insincere faux face promo there.

-The crowd is going insane for Punk’s impeding arrival. Punk is rocking his Gracie jiu jitsu hoodie, Chicago Blackhawks gear and a Wolverine beard.

CM Punk w/Paul Heyman vs. Chris Jericho

Lock up to begin, they then shove each other and talk some trash. Punk with a takedown, into a side headlock and Jericho counters. They trade some basic holds, but the crowd loves it as Punk gets a snap mare. Lock up, side headlock by Jericho. Off the ropes, shoulder block by Jericho. Off the ropes again, dropkick by Punk. Side headlock takedown by Punk, Jericho to his feet and Punk works the arm. To the corner, shoulder blocks by Punk, they trade chops and rights and then Jericho takes him to the corner and lays in the kicks. Jericho then misses a corner splash, Punk tries a tornado DDT, countered and Jericho clotheslines him to the floor. Jericho with the dropkick through the ropes, keeping Punk on the floor. Punk works to his feet, Jericho tries the springboard dropkick but Punk counters that into a stun gun, and turns the tide. Punk up top, double axe handle smash connects and Punk covers for 2. Punk now works a top wristlock, and then further ties up the arm by using his legs to keep Jericho grounded. Jericho works to his feet, escapes and sends Punk to the corner. Punk counters with the boot, and then spring boards in and Jericho avoids it, and Punk crashes and burns to the mat. Shoulder block by Jericho, another, to the apron and then Jericho off the top and connects with a right. Bulldog by Jericho, lionsault fails, lands on his feet, and Punk then gets a neck breaker for 2. to the corner, high knee by Punk. Jericho counters the bulldog, lionsault then connects and Jericho covers for 2. Jericho lays in the kicks on Punk, but Punk then tries for the GTS, countered, walls of Jericho attempt and Jericho locks it in. Punk fights for the ropes, then roll sand crawls up Jericho into the anaconda vice! Jericho with body shots, but Punk trips him to the mat and keeps the hold locked in. Jericho fights, and finally manages to get the ropes. Punk has to break the hold. Punk now looks for the GTS, snags up Jericho, but Jericho counters into the walls. Heyman distracts Jericho, Punk the grabs Jericho, and is distracted by Heyman as well and Jericho gets a roll up for 2. Jericho then is able to nail a code breaker out of nowhere, but Punk kicks out at 2. Rights by Jericho and then kicks to a downed Punk. More rights by Jericho, who now looked extremely pissed off. They trade shots, kicks by Punk and then the leg lariat connects. Corner knee, bulldog follows. Punk up top, elbow drop connects. Punk now looks for the GTS again, connects and Jericho kicks out at 2! Crowd chants for the GTS again, Punk looks to Paul for advice, and then Punk looks for another GTS. Picks up Jericho, Jericho elbows out and then Punk counters a codebreaker, and clotheslines Jericho to the floor. Suicide dive by Punk then connects and both men are down. Punk tosses Jericho back into the ring and then springboards into the ring and Jericho catches him in the codebreaker! 1…2…NO! Jericho is amazed that it was not three, and then starts to beat down Punk with rights again. Jericho then works the MMA elbows like Punk and or Bryan, and just beats on Punk with repeated shots. Jericho looks for the walls again, but Punk rolls up Jericho for a close 2. They trade forearm shots, jabs by Punk and then goes for a RANA, countered as Jericho locks in the walls again! Punk fights, Heyman begs him not to tap. Crowd chants for Punk, who works to escape with shots to Jericho, but Jericho sits back again. Punk looks to turn, works strikes and escapes and Jericho holds onto one foot. Punk up, more shots and escapes. GTS connects, Jericho bounces off into the corner, ANOTHER GTS by Punk and that will finish it.

Tag Team Title Match: Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns © vs. Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton

Bryan and Reigns in, Bryan runs wild for a bit but then Reigns hits the shot to the chest and drops Bryan, covering for 2. Reigns beats down Bryan, to the corner and tags in Rollins. They work over Bryan in their corner, double teams by the Shield and Reigns hits a big clothesline and covers for 2. Big knee by Reigns, dropping Bryan and getting a cover for 2. Side headlock by Reigns, Bryan to his feet, elbows out and gets the running kick and BOTH men are down. Bryan looks for the tag, gets it as does Reigns. Orton cleans house, snap slam to Rollins. Hangman’s DDT to Reigns, and then sends Rollins to the corner. Boot by Rollins, off the top rope and into a powerslam by Orton, who covers for 2. Orton gets the hangman’s DDT on him, and then sets for the RKO. Rollins rolls to the floor, and as Orton goes after him, Reigns flies in with a Superman shot to Orton. Rollins and Reigns work over Orton, as the crowd shows they are not into it by chanting RVD. Orton tries to fight back, but Rollins with a flatliner into the buckles. Reigns in, slams down Orton and covers for 2. Orton tries to battle back, but eats a spinebuster by Reigns and Reigns covers for 2. Tag to Rollins, who works a Chinlock on Orton. Rollins in control, tags in Reigns, and as they look to double team Orton, he fights back, avoids the charge and tosses Rollins into Reigns. Rollins landed badly, and Orton tags Bryan and he hits a big missile dropkick and starts to kick ass because that’s what he does. Corner dropkicks to Reigns, and a cover gets 2. Kicks follow, he lights up Reigns, kicks him in the head and covers for 2. Bryan sends Reigns to the floor, and then Rollins as well. Bryan looks for the suicide dive, but the Shield bails and Bryan wipes out Orton! Reigns with a clothesline on Bryan, and tosses him back into the ring and covers for 2. Torture rack by Reigns, Rollins to the top, Bryan fights them off, up top with Rollins and gets a SUPER BUTTERFLY SUPLEX~! That gets a close 2, no lock applied, but Reigns in and Bryan has to send him out. Back to the no lock on Rollins, but Reigns is able to save him. Orton back in, almost runs into Bryan, but moves and Bryan gets speared. RKO on Reigns, Rollins tosses Orton, big stomp off the ropes to the back of Bryan’s head by Rollins and the Shield retains.

-The lumberjacks come out to ringside.

Three Stages of Hell WWE Title Match: John Cena © vs. Ryback

LUMBERJACK MATCH: Lock up to begin, Ryback tosses Cena to the corner and lays in the boots. Cena fights back, but gets caught with a powerslam for 2. Cena again tries to fight back, but Ryback hits the sack of shit slam. Ryback charges, Cena moves and Ryback hits the post. Slams by Cena, off the ropes and an elbow drop. Ryback then pulls Cena to the floor and the face lumberjacks allow him to get back in and protect him from the heel lumberjacks. Ryback in control with head butts, and then works a headlock. Cena fights back, but Ryback gets the backpack stunner and covers for 2. Ryback tosses Cena to the floor and the heels attack. They toss Cena back in and Ryback covers for 2. Ryback again sends Cena to the floor, the heels beat him down and toss him back in. Ryback lays the boots to Cena, RVD chants as Cena tosses Ryback to the floor, and he returns to the ring untouched. Cena runs through the usual moves, five knuckle shuffle countered into a press slam and Cena tossed onto a pile of lumberjacks. They beat down Cena and toss him back in. Ryback calls for the shell shock, Cena counters and tosses Ryback to the floor. They attack Ryback and all of the lumberjacks fight as Cena leaps off the top rope onto the pile. They then beat down Cena and toss he and Ryback back into the ring. STF by Cena, Ryback fights and gets to his feet and snags up Cena and gets shell shock and Ryback pins Cena @ 8:00.

TABLES MATCH: Stage two begins now, with Cena down 1-0. Ryback spears Cena into the corner, and then grabs a table. Ryback sets up the table, grabs Cena and looks for a powerbomb. Cena escapes and then gets speared by Ryback. Goldberg chants now for Ryback. He picks up Cena, goes for a press slam, and Cena escapes and then sends Ryback to the floor. Cena to the floor, but Ryback sends him to the steps. Ryback then tosses the steps into the ring, and then tosses Cena back in. he picks up the steps, and then nails Cena with them. Ryback looks to send Cena through a table, Cena moves and the steps crash through the table. Cena grabs the steps, and nails Ryback with them. He gets another table, and sets it up. Ryback has the steps, and nails Cena with them and he falls on the table. Ryback tries to crush him with the steps, Cena moves and the steps go through the table again. Ryback misses with the steps, which fly to the floor, and Cena with the protobomb and five-knuckle shuffle. Ryback connects with a spinebuster, and then sets and nails the big clothesline. Ryback grabs another table, sets it up and grabs Cena. Looks for a shell shock, Cena counters and hits the AA through the table to tie things up at 1-1 at 17:00 (total time).

AMBULANCE MATCH: Ryback pops up and tosses Cena to the floor. He takes apart the announcer’s table and POWERBOMBS Cena through it. Ryback tosses Cena into the ring and take shim to the corner. The third stage has officially started and Ryback tosses Cena to the floor on the side of the ambulance. He picks up Cena and carries him towards the ambulance. Cena escapes and slams Ryback into the ambulance. Cena opens a door and pulls out a bunch of crutches and looks to use one, but Ryback fights back and tries to punch Cena but punches through the window. Crutch shot by Cena, they brawl around the ambulance and Cena picks up Ryback and slams him to the ambulance. Ryback with a back elbow, but Cena whips Ryback into the ambulance door, which is ripped off the hinges. Cena grabs the door and hits Ryback with it. Cena tries to push Ryback into the ambulance, fails and Ryback slams Cena onto the hood. Ryback rips off a quarter panel and starts to beat Cena with it. Ryback looks for a powerbomb, but Cena backdrops him onto the hood. Cena then climbs to the top of the ambulance, rips off a light as Ryback climbs and nails Ryback with it. Ryback is up and pissed and grabs a crutch and dares Cena to climb back down. Ryback then climbs to the top of the ambulance with Cena, Cena grabs the crutch and nails Ryback. Cena grabs Ryback for the AA, and hits it and sends Ryback through the roof, and that is all.

OFFICIAL RESULT: John Cena @ 25:00 via 2 stages to one
RATING: ***

-John Cena returns to the ring and celebrates with the title.

-End scene.
