Harper is in control of Young as return from break. He tags in Rowan, who hits a nice scoop slam on Young. BEAR HUG. BAH GOD. BEAR HUG. Young escapes and hits the ropes but Rowan hits a nice inverted shoulder tackle for two. Harper keeps trying to keep young grounded but Young keeps bolting to tag in Titus. No avail! Harper hits a nice looking driver on Young but Titus breaks it up. It was a one count and the crowd still lost it. Rowan’s in and he charges at Young. Young sends him to the outside! Harper lifts him up off the floor and rolls him in the ring. Harper tags himself in and makes stops Young! AWESOME! Young makes it to Titus a moment later. Titus is cleaning house! Big boots all around! Double body splashes! Powerslam to Harper! TWOOOO! Rowan tags himself in. He hits a huge body splash on Titus for the win.
Both of these teams have come so far. Rowan and Harper are improving at a ridiculous rate. The tag formula was used to perfection yet again and they used some very innovative sequences to tease that hot tag. The crowds are slowly getting behind the tag division again and it’s helping.
OFFICIAL RESULT The Wyatt Family @ 9:32 aired via pinfall
RATING: ***1/2
The Bellas have been on a tear lately. They’re improving in between the ropes more than any of the WWE’s latest diva projects. I really don’t want to see them split yet. The crowd is starting to rally behind them. The tag and diva divisions have both been making huge strides lately.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Nikki Bella @ 4:45 via pinfall
RATING: *3/4
– Trips/Big Show drama recap.
Camacho is in control as we return from break. He dissects Jimmy on the outside of the ring. He slowly picks him apart while utilizing the apron and the guard rail. Hunico comes in and they hit a nice double team back breaker. Hunico locks in an arm bar and Jey escapes. Jey goes for a dropkick but Hunico holds on to the ropes to avoid it. Camcho comes back in and they have a little bit of a slugfest. Camacho slams Jey’s head on the mat and locks him in a headlock. He heats a nice powerslam and charges at Jey in the corner! Jey connects with boots to the face though. He can’t get the tag though. Camacho comes in and hits a nice snap suplex. Hunico is back in with a smug look on his face. Uso tries to roll him up but Hunico kicks him right in the face. He tries jumping over Hunico for the tag but can’t make it. He’s stopped. Double hot tag! UUUU SOOOOOOO. He misses the butt bounce! Camacho hits the ropes but ends up falling into a Samoan Drop! Hunico breaks up a pinfall. Hunico tags in and eats a Superkick. Uso Splash after the tag! It’s over.
This was a lot better than I expected. Hunico and Camacho have a really cool in ring style. They’re natural heels who work a nice methodical and technical pace. They stick to the basics and perform them great. The tag division is really coming together with unique characters and styles that really make the matches interesting.
OFFICIAL RESULT: The Usos @ 7:03 via pinfall
RATING: ***
OVERALL: It’s as simple as this to deliver a good episode of Main Event. Tag wrestling dominating the show with two matches and four segments was a smart move. The division rarely misfires now-a-days. All four teams looked great in there. The Wyatt Family proved here that they’re far better than many give them credit for. They should have a great match with Punk and Bryan. Camacho and Hunico looked good as well. I’m very interested in seeing if they get a fair shake. I don’t want to see Los Matadores squash them next week. The divas match was really good too. The Bellas have been on a divas division quality tear. Check out the show! It’s a solid block of wrestling.
