Welcome to 411’s WWE Smackdown Report 3.07.14

  • Match times are not exact.
  • We get a video package from the Batista vs. Daniel Bryan main event from Raw. Batista made his way to the ring, and once again asked where all of the real men have gone in the business. Dolph Ziggler is a pretty boy that challenged him last week, searching for his 15-minutes of fame. Then the little goat faced troll Daniel Bryan challenged him and he destroyed both of them. Batista noted that he is a humble man that doesn’t need the cheers from the crowd, but he is more than willing to be their hero.

Daniel Bryan then made his appearance, and asked the fans if Batista was their hero. Batista stated that the day that fans like Bryan were allowed in the business was the day that the business went wrong. He then told Bryan that he could go and but a ticket to see him win the title at WrestleMania. Bryan stated that if all of that was true that Batista should be embarrassed, because Bryan had him beat before the Authority got involved on Monday. Batista said that he was better than Bryan in every way, that he is smarter and will always be a step ahead of him. This is Batista’s universe and he allows Bryan to exist in it, but also added that he will end his existence. Bryan doesn’t want to be part of a universe where skinny jeans are worn and belly button tattoos are cool, and this led to a brawl and Bryan dropkicking him to the floor.

Kane then appeared and this allowed Batista to attack Bryan from behind. They then beat down Bryan and the big Show made the save. He cleared out Batista and Kane, and Vickie then came out and made a tag team match for later tonight.

  • Time for a meeting of the Shield. Reigns and Ambrose came out, and Ambrose said that he can take getting beat down and the physical pain that comes with that, but he cannot take being lied to by someone he trusts. He feels that he has been lied to for the last 18 months, because he thought Rollins had his back in their war. He then said he didn’t want to keep talking, and told Rollins to come on out since he was the one that organized this meeting.

Seth Rollins then appeared and Reigns told him that what he had to say better be good. Rollins admitted that Monday was not the best time to make his point, but that they did not understand. The war isn’t with the Wyatts, but instead with themselves. They haven’t been the Shield for a while now, and Monday he sacrificed himself to get them back onto the same page. Ambrose sarcastically said that leaving he and Reigns for dead was a big sacrifice. Reigns had to hold Ambrose back as Rollins finally made his way into the ring.

Rollins said if they wanted that they could end things and then go their separate ways, and that they will be fine, but that fine isn’t good enough. When they are united, no one can touch them. He wanted them to be the real Shield again and to let him take his place back. Ambrose asked if he should be ok with that and then shoved him down. Reigns tossed Ambrose down and stood in between them. Rollins slapped Ambrose, and then Rollins then said for Ambrose to get out of his system what he needed to get out, and Rollins said he’d do what he did best and take one for the team so Ambrose decked him. Rollins rubbed his jaw and Ambrose rubbed his fist. Rollins asked if they were done with this, or if they were just done. Rollins extended his fist, and the Reigns joined him, and then finally Ambrose did the same. For the time being, they are united again.

Del Rio got the jobber “already in the ring” entrance. Lockup to begin, to the corner, and they break as Sheamus favors the injured arm. Del Rio to the floor, Sheamus follows and Del Rio then tosses him into the steps. Del Rio then it’s a dropkick to the arm of Shamus, which was against the steps…

    ~commercial time~

Del Rio smartly works the arm, as Sheamus tries to get to his feet. He does, rights to Del Rio, off the ropes and a boot to the shoulder by Del Rio. He charges, misses Sheamus and to the apron he goes. A clothesline connects for Sheamus, and both men are down. To their feet, clotheslines by Sheamus, but a boot by Del Rio connects. A superkick through the ropes by Del Rio, and he covers for a close 2. Del Rio looks for the arm breaker, countered and a knee lift by Sheamus. White noise countered, but Sheamus hits the Irish Curse back breaker and covers for 2. Divorce court by Del Rio, and into the cross arm breaker. Sheamus tries to fight out, does and picks up Del Rio and slams him down to escape the hold. Del Rio grabs the arm breaker again, Sheamus struggles for the ropes, and makes it. Del Rio then lays the boots to Sheamus, the ref backs him off, Del Rio back on the attack, but the ref pulls him off again. Brogue kick by Sheamus connects and that is all.

He doesn’t want to save John Cena, because there is nothing left to save or fix. He just wants to stand there as it al burns down. Follow the buzzards.
  • Batista interview backstage with Byron Saxton. Batista says that Bryan needs to face reality, because there is nothing special about him at all.
