411’s WWE RAW Report 6.02.14

  • Welcome!

    -sigh-

The show starts with the music of Evolution, and here they are. Batista looks spiffy in green, while Triple H sports a black eye. Triple H says that they say it’s always darkest just before the dawn. The funny thing is that The Shield thinks they’ve won, we think they’ve won – and that it’s all over. We don’t get it, he says. None of us get it. He doesn’t lose, he never loses. He wins. Always. This will not be over until The Shield exists no longer. That happens tonight, says Trips.

Batista grabs the mic. He doesn’t want another match with The Shield. He wants what’s coming – his opportunity at the title that was promised. Triple H walks away upset. He tells “Dave” that there is a reason he is the leader and the boss. Triple H gets frustrated. It’s because he can see the bigger picture here. A plan. Batista doesn’t care about the plan or The Shield. He came back, won the Rumble – he earned a one-on-one championship match and he wants it tonight. Triple H brings up Bryan being injured. He can’t give Batista a shot even if he wanted to. He’d most likely choke anyway. Triple H calls things tense tonight, and he’s sorry. Is this how Batista wants to go down? As the guy that lost to The Shield? He has never started a fight he couldn’t finish, and he will not stop tonight. when The Shield is gone, Batista will get everything that he was promised. Until then, no one is getting anything. Batista understands…

    “And I quit.”

Batista gives the parade wave as people chant YES! Triple H yells for him to get back here. Triple H asks if he’ll run back to HOllywood, and when the movie craps out, don’t come back because he’s finished.

We head to the announce table for them to fein shock and awe. Jerry Lawler says “By God” and it makes me miss JR…

    -Commercial Break-

What we missed during the break was a short backstage interview where Batista says he has been nothing but lied to. He’s done with it all. Empty promises and all that jive.

    -Commercial Break-

We are back, and Lance Stevenson is here. Actually, it’s Damien Sandow, and he would love to be preparing for a game – but we all know that the Pacer’s season has come to an end. We get a shot of Chris Copeland in the crowd unamused. With all of his free time, says Stevenson, he would like to publicly state that Lebron James is the greatest player in history. He also calls the Pacers a losing team from a losing city. He is just stating the facts. As an act of charity, he will give a public display of his skills. Sandow dribbles…actually, he doesn’t. Not once. He looks to shoot into the crowd before the music of The Big Show hits. Show comes out smiling. Stevenson asks if Show thinks he’s got game. “There’s the hole, I got the rock. Trash talk is over, start that clock.” haha. Sandow on the D. He BLOWS in Show’s Face!!!! hahahahahaha! Show tosses the ball into the gut of Sandow then gives a KO punch. Show grabs the ball and dunks.

    -Commercial Break-

We’re back with Kofi already in the ring. He awaits his opponent who he was unable to compete with last night due to Kane’s ass-kicking. Here’s Bo! He grabs a mic for what JBL calls “A Bo-mo.” There is only one reason why Miami Heat defeated the Pacers, and that’s because evey player on Heat Bo-lieved. Kofi is lookin at him like he’s nuts.

The crowd didn’t seem to care for Bo, and that’s not a good thing considering this crowd seems really into it all. Average match from my standpoint.
    RATING: *1/2

After the match, Bo is extremely proud. He goes to lift Kofi up, but Kofi pushes him away. Bo celebrates by himself and leaves.

Backstage, Renee Young is looking to get a word with Triple H. Out comes Stephanie. She says he is busy right now, but if you want a scoop, she is heading to the ring to make an announement regarding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Stay tuned.

    -Commercial Break-

Stephanie is here. Last night at Payback, Bryan showed his true colors; he is a selfish, little man who chose himself over what’s Best for Business, over his wife, and over all of us. Because he wouldn’t do what’s right and surrender the title. All of us deserve a fighting champion. Instead, he stood impotently by while Brie fell on the sword. Speaking of Brie, who put her hands on her, should have been fired on the spot. She showed restraint and leadership. He gave them chance after chance, and got slapped. That’s ok, because she is tough – she’ll live. She wonders if Bryan will be able to live with himself, though, seeing Brie’s dreams shattered all because of his selfishness. This is about the title. IN four weeks time, at Money in the Bank, if he can compete, he will be defending the title against…KANE. In a stretcher match. AND, if Bryan cannot compete, then for the first time ever, the Money in the Bank ladder match will be for the VACATED WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

The music of John Cena cuts Stephanie McMahon off. Uh oh….

Cena in the ring. Steph congrats him on his match. She hopes he is ok. As we see, Cena is perfectly ok. No damage, no selling, nothing. The sound of the WWE Universe is mentioned. He tells Steph she has a tough job. By listening to the WWE Universe, some of her decisions are questionable. The dueling chants appear, and Cena says people are having a good time. He says the situation with the title has gotten out of hand. He is an employee and a fan, but he speaks tonight as a 14 time champion who knows what it takes to win a championship, lose one, and give away one. Just like Bryan, he was forced without question to give away the title.

Steph says that’s because he knew what was right. He says that yes, the Universe deserves to see a fighting champion, and no one person is bigger than that title. She says, that’s right, not Daniel Bryan – and Cena says and not a jealous, spoiled, ego maniac named Stephanie McMahon. No one person is bigger than the title. He gets it, Steph doesn’t like Bryan. Face facts, Steph. Bryan is good. She has been around long enough to be as loud as they want for whomever they want, but at the end of the day it’s about proving yourself in the ring and every single time, Bryan does just that. Bryan beat Cena fair and square. Every single time he’s been close, Steph took it from him. He gave it up because he knew he’d get a chance to get it back. Bryan won’t give it back because he’s afraid he’ll never get another chance.

Steph says ya can’t live in fear. She says Bryan is a B+. He’s not a champion – he can’t physically compete. He hasn’t defended the title in over 30 days and as a leader, she must do what’s best for business. Cena says that he has had four surgeries. Triple H has had surgeries that have taken out of action. Steph has had surgeries. Steph is quick to retort that this kept her IN action. Cena says what’s best for business is “business.” ugh….shoot me.

Cena says Steph has made an embarrassment of the title, wasted the WWE Universe’s time, and has embarrassed hersoelf. He’ll speak to her employee to boss. He gives her a 0 on the 1-10 scale of job evaluation. 0 means she sucks. Steph doesn’t care what Cena or the fans grade her, what she cares about is creating opportunity. Steph will give Cena an opportunity tonight. Cena gets Kane tonight and that starts….now. Payback’s a bitch, but so is she.

Match 3: John Cena vs Kane

We come back to the match already started. Cena runs into a big boot from Kane. Kane covers for 1…2..Rope Break. Kane with a stomp. Another to the back. A kick to the gut and some stomps. Kane sends Cena into the corner back first and hits a right hand to the face. Kane with a kick to the arm. A few more. The ref breaks it up. Kane pulls Cena to the middle of the ring. Cena with a dropkick but Kane doesn’t fall. Kane runs…right into a side slam. Pin for 1…2…NO! Kane with a kick to the face. Right hand from Kane, Cena gets one of his own, Kane, Cena, Cena, Cena.
