411's WWE Legend's House Report 6.12.14
Posted by Jeremy Lambert on 06.12.2014
It's the final episode of season one and the Legend's reveal a lot of personal feelings.
Previously: Piper got roasted and then Jimmy and Patterson sort of opened up.
Everyone had a hard time sleeping because of what happened last night. What exactly happened last night? Well, if you watched last week, you probably have no idea.
Ashley Cook arrives for the last time ever. She says that the Legends will be throwing a party with plenty of singing and dancing. Piper calls for a group hug with Ashley and as they go in, Fink's pants fall down. I'm shocked it took this long.
Piper plays bagpipes because he's not a gimmick. Hillbilly and Jimmy gather the group and give them all parts in their song.
The Legends go downtown to a steakhouse for the last dinner. The Legends reminisce about their time in the house. Atlas thinks Gary Busy cameo was the best part. They talk about LARPing and the Newlywed Game. We get flashback clips, which do nothing but remind me of how painful this show has been. Atlas says that he loves and respects everyone more now than he did at the start and considers them all friends.
Patterson asks everyone to remember the biggest moment of their life. Gene says it's when Piper and Cowboy Bob Orton jumped some guy in the street. Duggan says it's whacking Andre with a 2x4. Atlas and Hillbilly go away from wrestling and start talking about their personal life. Gene gets emotional talking about his wife giving him a kidney to keep him alive. Jimmy once again tells the story about him losing his daughter. Now everyone moves away from their professional career and they share a personal moment that changed their life. This is some very heavy and emotional stuff. Everyone at the table begins to cry and I'd imagine some people watching this show are crying as well.
Patterson admits, for the first time publicly, that he's gay. No one is all that shocked since everyone has known for years, but to admit it in a public forum still takes a lot of guts. So good for Pat.
Now we move on to the party. Everyone is drinking and having a good time. Ashley arrives and Gene makes her "The Okerlund" which is basically just a lot of vodka, some soda, and some cranberry juice. Ashley believes that Gene is trying to take advantage of her, which is sure to upset Steve Cook.
Piper gets up on stage and does his bagpipe routine. He's the opening act for Hillbilly and Jimmy. They perform their song with the rest of the Legends singing back-up. Atlas begins dancing like The Boogeyman. No worms though.
PAT PATTERSON KARAOKE TIME! Patterson performs "My Way" by Frank Sinatra.
The Legends pack up and go through the usual reality show goodbye scenes where they sit around, wait for their car, and say their goodbyes when their name is called.
Thoughts: A strong finale with a lot of emotion involved. I wasn't a big fan of this show and thought it fell flat many weeks, but they closed strong with this episode.
