Joe vs. Daniels; It'll rock your face.

Match #1 AJ Styles and Abyss went to a No Contest.
Cage has the mic. Mitchell, you wanted an answer? At Lockdown for the title, my answer is yes. Abyss I have a question for you. For what you did to my wife and embarrassed me, in 6-sides of unforgiving steel…are you prepared to die? Because I am!
JB is with Team 3D. Team 3D will battle Team Canada at Lockdown in an "Anthem Match." Ok. Ray asks if JB is a real blooded American. It will take more than Team Canada to take them out. If you bury us, bury us under our own flag, not your second rate flag. You are lucky that we let you survive. We will capture our flag and will hear OUR anthem. We will pledge allegiance to the flag. He gives a cool version, 3D style, of the Pledge and we finish with OH MY BROTHER…TESTIFY!
Match #2 Bullet Bob and Konnan's Arm Wrestling went to a no contest when Hernandez debuted and knocked bob the fuck out.
Back from commercial and JB is with Larry Z. He makes a hair joke, and they put over the Joe vs. Sabu match. He then discusses the World X Cup. Daniels will face Jushin Thunder Liger. No matter who wins Thursday, the X Title will be defended at the PPV. Ref Slick Johnson is here and wants to ref, Larry says if he needs him he will call. Slick says something about a new guy being brought in and Larry knows nothing about it. Glad he's in charge.

Back from commercial and Sting is here. "WOOOOO! Ok, I don't want to beat a dead horse, you guys know why I came back right? Because I love wrestling and the wrestling fans. I love TNA wrestling on SPIKE TV. Final Resolution was bitter sweet. Bitter because JJ decided to put everything on film, everything that is sacred to me, my family. You stepped over the line. You got me bitter and ticked off. The only way for me to get rid of bitterness was to come back to get you JJ. Which I did with some satisfaction I may add. But I'll be straight, the Stinger got one-upped. Scotty Steiner to toss me around. That just shook off some more rust, it caused the blood cells to get ready to rock and roll again. Now I have to come back and one up you. So I talk to TNA and get a special match. 6-Sides of steel for the match beyond. To be locked in Lockdown with a ceiling…there's no place for you to run Jeff. You were stupid to tell who was on your team. Next Thursday night, our first Thursday on Spike. I challenge you…the Stinger on National TV. I want you to be here in this ring and I ant you to wrestle me! For the time being, the ball is in your court. Anyone you send at me, I will chop their legs off and after that I will rip your heart out of your chest!"
JJ and Team are out. They surround Sting. FACES OF THE WORLD UNITE for Sting! Team JJ backs off, as Sting and the faces stand tall.
They showed "live cut ins" during TUF 3, including Joe coming to the ring. That helps with the illusion that the match started early.
Joined in progress, roughly 4-minutes in and Joe KILLS Daniels with an OLAY kick and Daniels is a bloody mess! We get some highlights of the first minutes, including Daniels with a RANA on Joe to the floor followed by a split legged moonsault. Joe tosses Daniels back into the ring and stalks his prey. Vicious kicks to the head by Joe. Daniels tires to fight back with rights, but Joe BITES him in the head. Maybe he WILL eat him! Daniels kicks at Joe to keep him away and Joe rips at the cut. They say that Lyger will NOT be at the PPV, because New Japan protested that the match would be in a cage. Snap mare, shops and knee drop by Joe gets 2. A rear headlock by Joe now, Daniels to his feet and elbows out. Off the ropes and a FLYING knee by Joe! Stomps by Joe and Daniels continues to bleed. Joe picks him up and takes him to the corner. Rights and chops by Joe and he just lights Daniels up and he drops to the mat, hanging over the bottom rope. Daniels with weak shots at Joe, no effect as Joe just picks him up and delivers more chops and slaps to Daniels. Irish whip and a running corner clothesline but Joe and then an Enziguri to Daniels, and he is down. The ref checks Daniels, and then Joe goes back on the attack. Face wash…RUNNING KICK OF DOOM! Face wash again…. Daniels counters the kick and gets a dragon screw leg whip. Irish whip, Daniels charges…STJOE takes him back down and we head to a commercial @ 6:50.
Back @ 10:19 with Joe still in control. Powerbomb by Joe, into a Boson crab! STF now and he beats on Daniels head. Crossface switch by Joe and then into a double arm submission, but Daniels finally gets the topes. Joe is angered and starts to kick away at Daniels yet again. Daniels tries to battle back, Daniels avoids a kick and gets two Enziguri's! Daniels to his feet and a forearm shot to Joe. Clothesline and finally a front lung blower to Joe! Up top…flying shoulder block gets 2! In the corner, Daniels sets Joe up top…SUPER RANA on Joe! 1…2…NO! Joe with an atomic drop and then LEVELS Daniels with a boot. Senton eats knees, but Joe gets the swank powerslam for 2. Daniels counters a back suplex, BLUE THUNDA DRIVA BY DANIELS! 1…2…NO! Slaps by Joe, Daniels battles back with rights. Kicks by Joe, STO by Daniels. BEST MOONSULT EVER! 1…2…NO!!!!! Daniels grabs Joe, sets him up top…Joe grabs the Choke, Daniels fights out and NAILS Joe with a right. Up top…LOW BLOW by Joe. He has Daniels on his shoulders…TOP ROPE ISLAND DRIVER! 1…2…3! NEW CHAMPION!

What the hell can I say. That was the PERFECT way to kick off the first Thursday Impact, just one hell of a match, especially for free TV.
In the back with JB. He hypes Sting's return to free TV wrestling. Sting is here now. "WOOO! I love the way the crowd sounds. Before God and man I challenged JJ. We'll see if he has the stomach to accept it. You have to be nerved out of your mind. I am looking forward to this, and later on, you'll see who my Lockdown Team is. It's Showtime folks!"

Tenay and West hype Lockdown. We get our official welcome, and they hype the Street Fight and Sting's first TV match in 5-years.
Mike Tenay sat down with Cage earlier in the week. Christian says he knows that when you make it, you give up certain things like freedom and privacy. When he got the cal about them stalking his wife, he was horrified. As champion he knows everyone is after him, but her wife never signed on for any of this. She isn't a part of TNA, and it crossed the line. It was a personal violation, and now his beef with Abyss is personal. When Abyss almost drowned him he saw his life go before his eyes. This didn't have to be personal, but they made it. He never wanted to beat anyone more than he does right now. They spliced video clips into the interview, really well done.
Kick ass, AMW is actually dressed for a street fight. Ray STILL needs a tan.
Team 3D charges in and here we go. BRAWL~! Ray and Harris pair off, they slam them to the same corner and Team 3D takes turns with corner splashes and then dumps AMW. Gail and Jackie are in to cat fiiiiiiiiiight, Gail almost eats a 3D but AMW makes the save as we head to commercial @ 1:10.
Back @ 4:25 with AMW in control. Harris chokes Devon with his wrist tape. Wait, if this is a street fight, why are they using tag rules? Tag to Storm and they miss a double clothesline but Devon connects! Tag to ray! Rights for Harris and Storm. Storm tossed to the floor and so is Harris. They go to the floor and Team 3D takes it to them. Devon follows Harris into the crowd and Harris is rammed to the bleachers. Harris battles back and slams Devon to the bleachers. They brawl back to ringside as Ray and Storm are in the crowd. Devon nails Harris with the title belt, as Ray Tosses Storm through a small wall by the bleachers. 3D in control and Ray and Storm back to ringside. Harris takes down Devon, but then gets rammed to the steel railing. Slam by Ray on Storm, Devon up top…Harris tosses him off. Storm grabs his belt and doesn't use it. SUPERKICK to Devon! Rights to Ray, but ray tosses him to the floor. Harris levels Ray with a lariat and gets 2. Irish whip, elbow by Ray. Up top…back splash misses! Harris nails ray with a trashcan and covers for 2. AMW sets up the trashcan and goes for a death sentence…Ray tosses Harris off the top and Ray is back in. Reverse 3D to Storm! 1…2…stopped as Team Canada's Petey Williams is out to stop it. Roode and Young beat down 3D now. They bring a table in and set it up. Devon is laid on the table…BUT HERE IS LITTLE SCOTT DEADLY! ACID DROP TO ROODE! 3D to A1 through a table! The Deadly's are reunited!

Fun street fight, except when they tried to use tag rules early on and a no finish in a street fight, that was odd. Good fun, more build for 3D vs. Team Canada and the debut of LSD was well received from the TNA faithful.
Global Impact this week goes to Martinsville Virginia and the match with the race Car drivers. JJ killed Jeff Hammond with a guitar shot. HAHA.
Back from commercial with highlights of Sting's post Destination X Interview complete with video footage of Scott Steiner killing bitches to hype the "Lethal Lockdown" cage match.
JB is with Team JJ. JJ says he has never backed down and taken care of business. Tonight is no different. Tonight, I will teach Sting a lesson. It is Showtime…Eric Young, Showtime Eric Young, you get the chance, and you will face Sting tonight! They all chant for Eric and he looks petrified!

Young dips as the bell rings and is afraid! D'Amore pep talks him and here we go. Sting stays still, Young circles him and runs! Alex Shelley is here with his camera to watch the match. Sting stalks Young, Irish whip and a chop by Young. Sting no sells and Sting yells and Young is freaked! Young tossed to the floor and tales a sick bump! Sting with a PLANCHA onto Alex and Young! Sting rams Young to the steel railing and then rams Alex to the steel. Stinger splash MISSES Young and Sting eats the steel railing as we head to a commercial @ 2:10.
Back @ 5:35 and Young is in control with boots. He chokes Sting out on the ropes, then slams him. Elbow drop by Young gets 2. Rights by Young, picks Sting up and more rights. Sting fires back but Young with an eye rake. To the corner and an Irish whip. Young tries a Stinger splash but misses. Crotched on the ropes and Sting shakes then. STINGER SPLASH gets Young and D'Amore who got on the apron. Sting nails Shelley and a scorpion death drop later and Sting wins.
Winner: Sting @ 7:45 via Pin
Shelley tries to attack, but Sting with a scorpion deathlock on him! JJ is here and misses a guitar shot and Sting takes him out. Irish whip and elbow by Sting. Sting has his bat and blocks a guitar shot!
AMW is out and Sting tries to battle them off but Steiner is here and they beat him down. AJ, Rhino and Killings are here with bats and run Team JJ off.
Sting has the mic and says JJ has his team, and this is his team! See you at Lockdown kids!
Fun match, Eric Young is just awesome and Sting is in good shape. This was a nice little warm up for him and it was wise to have him on TV. They also set the Lethal Lockdown match and that rally seems to have the crowds excited.
Final Impact Thoughts: Great show I thought. They kicked it off with a bang and kept things going really well and all of it built to the PPV. A Great way to kick off Impact on Thursdays.
