411's WWE SmackDown Report 5.12.06
Posted by Nick Marsico on 05.12.2006
The build up to Judgment Day continues as a championship match is made and an injured star returns! Plus, a champion is demolished in one of the biggest disgraces to date.
Yay it's time for another super duper edition of Friday Night SmackDown!!
**Note: Match times do not include the length of commercial breaks
We are TAPED~! from the 619, Rey's home town of San Diego, California.
JBL is here to kick off this week's edition of the show and he looks glad to be in the building! He wants to know "Como esta amigos?" He came out to applaud Rey Mysterio, OUR World Champion -- he's a typical tough Mexican fighter, and he has machismo. He promised to take on all comers, and he took on the World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry, keeping his word. And of course, he lost. This week we're going to see if he's going to keep his word again or if he's el pollo -- a chicken. Will he take his inner tube and go back to Mexico? We all know that Mysterio has more heart than brains, so tonight San Diego's own hero has the Great Khali, but it doesn't end there, since Judgment Day is on the horizon. Remember, JBL is the guy who defeated Eddy Guerrero for the WWE Championship -- yes, Eddy was great, but JBL was just better. He also took the US Title from Chris Benoit, and at Judgment Day when he defeats the third amigo, he will be the only man in SmackDown history to hold the World and US Championships -- he will be a TRUE... AMERICAN... HEEEEEEEROOOOOOooooo. Once he takes Rey's livelihood, Dominic can shine his boots, his wife can work in his kitchen in a short latino dress and some stiletto heels... but Rey can sell drugs on street corners, do drive-bys, prostitution and donkey shows in Tijuana just like the rest of his people, who are ruining his country. At Judgment Day, he will --
And here comes Rey Mysterio for the beatdown, chasing JBL out of the ring and not stopping until a group of referees pulls him off and JBL runs out of the building.
Tonight, Rey Mysterio will take on the Great Khali. Also, it's Finlay vs. Bobby Lashley in a King of the Ring semifinal match.
=COMMERCIAL BREAK=
The San Diego Chargers are in the house, and so is Gregory Helms, the Cruiserweight Champion, who is here to be ringside for the upcoming match...
Super Crazy vs. Nunzio vs. Kid Kash Triple Threat, #1 Contendership for the Cruiserweight Championship
Kid Kash attacks Nunzio from behind before the bell and Crazy takes him out with a springboard dropkick. Crazy gets two on Nunzio and all men end up out on the floor, and Kash gets back into the ring in control. He gets a two count in the ring on Crazy and some headbutts gets him another near fall. Irish whip into the corner but Kash gets his boot up and Nunzio gets a near fall, then Kash does on Nunzio and Crazy does on Nunzio as well, but Kash breaks it up. Nunzio tosses Crazy but takes a clothesline from Kash for 2. Kash gets the twist moonsault from the top rope and Nunzio breaks up the count with a Swanton and gets a two count on both men. He gets spinning heel kicks on both men and a standing moonsault gets him a 2 count on Nunzio. Irish whip reversed and Crazy dodges a Kash charge. A moonsault press is broken up at 2 by Nunzio. Crazy chokes him down in the corner and gets a dropkick on Kash in the opposite corner. He chops and punches him there and they trade kicks before Nunzio breaks it up but gets slapped down for his trouble. Crazy sets Kash up on top and Nunzio stops him getting him on his shoulders, and Kash misses an attempt at the Doomsday Device as Crazy gets Nunzio down with a victory roll to become the number one contender for Gregory Helms' Cruiserweight Championship at Judgment Day.
Your winner is Super Crazy in 4 minutes and 35 seconds.
Backstage, Kurt Angle is here and he is walking with a purpose.
=COMMERCIAL BREAK=
Kurt Angle has found Teddy Long backstage, and he has already forfeited his King of the Ring spot because he isn't cleared. He knows that, but he doesn't care. He just wants Mark Henry tonight. Long won't give it to him, as he's in no shape to wrestle. Kurt doesn't give a damn what the doctors say, and he doesn't want to wait, because Mark Henry tried to end his career. Long can't make the match tonight, but he can book a match with Mark Henry for Judgment Day, when Kurt will be medically cleared. Kurt is feelin' that.
Gymini (Jesse & Jake) vs. Mike Wellington & Joey Ryan
Wellington starts out in the ring and gets overpowered right away. He gets tossed to the apron and hiptossed back in and then runs right into a clothesline and takes a gutwrench slam. Tag to Ryan and he gets kicked right in the face as his head hung off the apron. Tag by Gymini and they get a double shoulder tackle. Gymini gets three high knee lifts and takes Ryan down, and they make another tag. They get some tandem striking offense and the legal Gymini locks in a chinlock. He lets go and makes another tag, and the Gymini pops off a head and arm suplex, then stops Wellington from making the save on his pin by clotheslining him down and then scoop slamming him onto Ryan. Both men are in there and they get the Crash Diet to pick up the easy victory.
Your winners are Gymini in 3 minutes and 19 seconds.
Kurt Angle is being escorted out of the building, as he has received what he wanted tonight.
This past Monday, the See No Evil premiere was in Anaheim. Kane wore his wrestling gear to the show. Yes, his wrestling tights and no shirt. Apparently Kurt was so scared that he was hiding behind Viscera, and some chubby faggy looking fellow said that he "girlfriend" was so scared that she dug her nails into his arms. Yeah, fella, your "girlfriend".
Still to come tonight, Lashley takes on Finlay in the semifinals of the King of the Ring Tournament!
=COMMERCIAL BREAK=
Booker T is in the finals of the KOR Tournament at Judgment Day, and Lashley will take on Finlay to see who will take him on next Sunday. Last week, Finlay defeated Chris Benoit in a classic match by hitting him with a chair and dropping him with the Celtic Cross to advance to the semifinals.
Booker T is here with the lovely Sharmell. For the record, Booker is really upset that Mark Henry injured Kurt Angle. If Kurt would have faced him, Booker would have beat him down like a dog. This is the real deal, and everybody knows the real deal, and Kurt Angle is afraid of Booker T. Booker refuses to lose a match by forfeit, so he's giving Kurt one more chance to come out and face him like a man, and he's giving him 10 seconds. He makes it to 10 and celebrates by running the ropes. And then we get the Spin-a-Roonie~!
Up next, Lashley vs. Finlay, and we'll find out Booker T's opponent at Judgment Day.
=COMMERCIAL BREAK=
Finlay vs. Bobby Lashley Semifinal Match, King of the Ring Tournament
Finlay points a finger at Lashley, but the big man swats his hand away. Lockup and Lashley overpowers Finlay into the corner and they separate with a clean break. Lashley gets a single leg and takes Finlay down to his back, but not long enough to get a cover. He rides him and shoots a half, but Finlay gets his foot on the bottom rope before the referee can make a count. Finlay comes out of the corner and gets a cheap shot on Lashley and a short arm clothesline knocks him down. Chinlock by Finlay and Lashley can't stand, and Finlay throws in a crossface and rakes the face before driving an elbow into Lashley's shoulder. He stomps Lashley down and works the chinlock back in and pounds him on the head. Lashley is now able to stand and break the hold, but Finlay stops him with a leg kick but runs into a boot to the face. Irish whip into the corner and Lashley gets a gorilla press into a gutbuster. Another Irish whip into the corner and Lashley follows in with a clothesline, taking Finlay down. Lashley stomps away and then pulls Finlay off the ropes, dropping him down hard, but Finlay uses leverage to throw Lashley headfirst into the middle turnbuckle and regain control.
Outside, Finlay cover's Lashley's face with the apron skirt and chokes him. He then chokes him underneath the bottom rope back inside the ring. He crossfaces right into another chinlock, and Lashley once again cannot stand and break the hold, being driven right back down to the mat. Finlay lets go and drops a knee on Lashley's head and then gets a stiff kick right to the back for two, and another pinfall attempt yields the same result. Booker and Sharmell wander out and Booker takes a seat on the throne up by the entrance. In the ring, Finlay clotheslines Lashley down, but jumps off the ropes and comes down on Lashley's knees. Lashley punches and kicks him out of the ring and dives off the apron at Finlay, but Finlay pulls out the skirt again, stopping Lashley from reaching him. He is in control as we head to break.
=COMMERCIAL BREAK=
Back on SmackDown, Finlay has a Fujiwara armbar on Lashley, and during the break he whipped Lashley face first into the ring post outside the ring. Lashley stands and tries to get out, but Finlay stops him with a kick to the gut and a clothesline gets a 2 count. A straight punch rocks Lashley into the corner and Finlay stomps him with and grabs an armbar. Irish whip reversed but Lashley charges into a boot, but catches Finlay by the throat, tosses him into the corner and throws him with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. A couple of running double forearms are followed by a back body drop, a pair of clotheslines and a running powerslam by Lashley, and he charges for the spear, but Finlay punts him right in the head. That gets Finlay a near fall, and he makes his way out of the ring to get a chair. He tries to distract the referee with it so he can use the shelaileigh, but the referee catches him and takes it, so Finlay gets the chair again and nails Lashley in the back with it, but Lashley comes back instantaneously with a spear to advance to the finals.
Your winner is Bobby Lashley in 13 minutes and 30 seconds.
Lashley's got a mic and tells Booker T that he's sitting in his seat, and he can either get out or Lashley will throw him out.
Tonight, Rey Mysterio takes on the Great Khali.
=COMMERCIAL BREAK=
MNM are here in full force, and Johnny Nitro has something to say. Is is hot in here, or is it just them? MNM is the it team on the scene, and they are the hottest, the greatest, and the sexiest WWE Tag Team Champions in history. Mercury takes the mic, and says that nobody can hold a candle to the 3 time WWE Tag Team Champions, and they don't take too kindly to when people try to embarass them. That is why last week London & Kendrick received not one, not two, but THREE Snapshots from the Tag Champs. Melina's got the mic after a replay of the Snapshots from last week, and says that MNM humiliated L&K, just like they'll do at Judgment Day --
But Jillian Hall interrupts and she wants to talk embarassing. Embarassing is the way she kicked Melina's scrawny butt at the makeup table. Melina says that it's embarassing that Jillian actually looked a lot better when she had that growth on her face. Jillian wants to have the match right here, right now, but London and Kendrick attack from behind and they pantse (is that how you spell it?) Mercury and Nitro, and Jillian does the same to Melina. Oddly enough, Melina's underwear is the largest of the bunch, as she's got boyshorts on and Mercury and Nitro both had shiny bikini briefs on. Yeah, I just typed that.
Mark Henry is walking down the hallway, and he will be in action next!
=COMMERCIAL BREAK=
Kane was apparently hard to work with on the set of his movie. He didn't seem to be a pain at the movie's premiere, however, as just earlier on during this broadcast they showed a footage of him there at the opening of his movie posing and smiling with all sorts of kids and fans.
Mark Henry's now using his new music from the Wreckless Intent CD. Also, 2 weeks ago he splashed Kurt Angle through a table off the apron, breaking some of Kurt's ribs.
Mark Henry vs. Paul Burchill
Henry starts off with a stiff clothesline and picks Burchill up for a kick ot the gut. He tosses Burchill into the corner, but Paul dodges a charge but fals to whip Henry, getting tossed over the top rope by Henry with one arm. Henry pulls him back in by the neck and tosses him over the top rope, picks him up and punches him down. Henry gets a pair of shoulder blocks in the corner, steps back and gets a running splash to Burchill's chest in the corner and follows up immediately with the same to the back. He tosses Burchill outside and does it again, this time with Burchill up against the ring post. He boots Burchill in the gut again back inside the ring and an Irish whip leads to another pair of running splashes in the corner, this time to the back first and the front next. Henry grabs a microphone and says that at Judgment Day, Kurt Angle will get the same thing. He picks up Burchill and drops him with the World's Strongest Slam to win without a hitch.
Your winner is Mark Henry in 3 minutes and 38 seconds.
Tonight, Mysterio must face the 7 foot 3 Great Khali.
=COMMERCIAL BREAK=
Another promo runs for Tatanka and his initiation into the Lichota tribe, and in this one, he is welcomed into the family. Next week, the Warrior ceremony will take place.
Nunzio is with Vito and says that he was this close to beating Super Crazy. Vito tells him that they're going to go get some dinner and they'll pick up some gumauds and everything's gonna be cool. Vito walks away and Orlando Jordan comes up, telling Nunzio that back when they were in England, he saw a guy who looked a lot like Vito dressed in drag, and Nunzio takes offense to it.
Judgment Day Card
- Lashley vs. Booker T (King of the Ring Final)

JBL is here to join Cole and Tazz on commentary for the main event.
=COMMERCIAL BREAK=
JBL has made his way to the table and Mysterio is here for his match, and his family is here looking on.
Mysterio comes out of nowhere during his entrance and jumps JBL, hopping up onto the announce table and getting a seated senton on the already seated JBL. Referees pull them apart as Khali's music hits.
Rey Mysterio vs. Great Khali
Mysterio stands as tall as Khali's nipple. They do a long staredown, and Rey tries to run past Khali, but he gets goozled and tossed right out of the ring. Rey almost gets counted out, but makes it back in by 9, but Khali tosses him right back out under the bottom rope with one hand. Rey goes for a springboard dropkick, but just bounces right off Khali, who picks him up by the head with one hand and headbutts him out of the ring. JBL stands and punches Mysterio down and tosses him back into the ring. Khali stomps Rey and picks him up and throws him down with the two handed chokeslam, delaying it for almost half a minute. That gets the easy pin as Khali pins him with just a boot on Rey's chest.
Your winner is Great Khali in 3 minutes and 29 seconds.
JBL grabs a mic and gets in the ring, telling Mysterio that all of his family is watching, and he let them down. He wonders if Rey is a man of his word, and if he is, well just wait until he finds out who he has to face next week. Tick tock, Judgment Day is coming. JBL picks up Rey just to slap him down, and he stands proud in the middle of the ring as Rey is left lying on the mat outside the ring.
Fade out and that's it for another episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
