411's OVW TV Report 7.22.06
Posted by Steve Sullivan on 07.24.2006

Due to my VCR's inability to record TV when the power is out, I missed this week's OVW TV Show. However, the following is a basic synopsis of the TV show.

Credit: OVWrestling.com

C.M. Punk and Seth Skyfire said they would put their titles on the line against Shad Gaspard and The Neighborhoodie at the July 28th show at Six Flags. Deuce and Domino said they were the #1 contendors after defeating Gaspard and The Hoodie 2 weeks ago. Punk suggests a #1 contendors match.

Charles "The Hammer" Evans vs. Pat Buck

Basic squash match that featured Evans dominating Buck with Power moves. Kenny Bolin talked up Evans match at Six Flags this Friday against Jerry "The King" Lawler.

Winner- Charles "The Hammer" Evans

Elijah Burke vs. "Bad Seed" Shawn Osbourne

Burke came out with new OVW diva Tori. Osbourne attacked him from behind but Burke retalited and eventually hit the Experience on him for the win.

Winner- Elijah Burke

The Miz came on and challenged Burke to a handicap "Loser Leaves Town" Match at Six Flags with it being The Miz and Ronnie Jona vs. Elijah Burke.

Johnny and Mikey of the Spirit Squad were then seen talking to several superstars in the OVW lockeroom and talked to them about the importance of their jobs during the "special performance" at the end of the show.

K.C. James vs. Cody Runnels

A great technical match apparently that saw James with a leg scissors while doing pushups. A lot of mat wrestling and eventually Idol Stevens interefered but to no avail as Runnels locked in his sleeperhold on James. Idol came in and attacked Runnels from behind and the match ended in a DQ.

Winner by DQ- Cody Runnels

Roadkill came out and challenged James and Stevens to a tag match with he and Cody Runnels at the Six Flags event this Friday.

Eugene came on and said he was going to be at a houseshow at some high school in Indiana. He also said he will be wrestling Rob Conway at the Summer Sizzler Series this Friday.

T.J. Dalton vs. Simon Dean

Another squash match that put Simon Dean's feud with Al Snow over.

Winner- Simon Dean

Al Snow came on and went crazy on Simon Dean then said the next match between the two was going to be a tag team leather strap match and Al Snow's partner was none other than Brent Albright!

Deuce & Domino vs. Seth Skyfire –c- & C.M. Punk –c- (#1 Contendor Match For The OVW Southern Tag Team Championship)

A great match with a lot of action. The ending saw Deuce getting ready to finish off Seth Skyfire when The Neighborhoodie came in and distracted him while Shad Gaspard nailed Deuce in the head with his title while the ref was trying to get rid of The Hoodie. Skyfire put his arm over him and got the 3 count. Punk was out on the outside after missing a top rope splash.

Winners- Seth Skyfire & C.M. Punk

In a rare appearance, OVW owner Danny Davis came to the ring with a mic and thanked the OVW fans that come to the Summer Sizzler Series. He came out to say that he had also signed a show at Six Flags for this Saturday as well! All of a sudden, Mikey and Johnny of The Spirit Squad came out and attacked Davis. Eventually Johnny would knock Davis out with a vicious chair shot while Mikey held on to him. The show ended with Mikey and Johnny laughing over Danny Davis.
