Back inside Regal regains control and lands more stiff kicks. (This is getting personal.) Regal with a rest hold and some vicious elbows for good measure. Finlay elbows out but runs right into a stiff knee. Finlay gets a reversal in the corner bur Regal cuts him off again with an elbow. Regal has the shillelagh but Finlay gets it from him and hits Regal with it for the DQ. (Damn, there went my fantasy points.) Wait, Bobby Lashley is out and Finlay has a shillelagh shot for him too! Finlay teases double teaming Lashley but then hits Regal again with the shillelagh. Lashley hits the running powerslam on Regal.

Winner: William Regal via DQ @ 5:04

Still to come tonight, the Chavo’s Confessions.

Elijah Burke w/Sylvester Turkay vs Scott Wright
This match was supposed to be Turkay agains Wright but they pull the old switcharoo! Burke gets a wrestling takedown. Tosses Wright into the corner and gets some punches. He shrugs off some offense from Wright and gets a stiff knee and a high flying shoulder tackle. Burke gets a neck wrench then hits a high dropkick that only gets two. Burke with some mounted forearms and back to the neck wrench. Wright gets free but finds himself back in the neck wrench a third time. (He must’ve been watching Orton.) Wright with rights now (no pun intended) but Burke counters a clothesline into the STO. Burke finishes with the rings of saturn. After the match Turkay gives Wright a belly to belly for good measure.

Winner: Elijah Burke via submission @ 2:15

Kristal Marshall vs Ashley Massaro
JBL describes Krystal as “Halle Berry with some extra booty.” That JBL. They go right at it with Ashley getting some punches and a bodyslam on Krystal followed by a elbow. Krystal wants out of the match but Ashley grabs her leaving an opening for Krystal to score the enziguri. Krystal with punches now and a standing hair pull. Krystal rams Ashley’s head into the turnbuckle but then misses a dropkick. Ashley with some mounted punches and a whip to the corner. Monkey flip countered by Krystal and pins Ashley with a handful of tights.

Winner: Kristal Marshall via pinfall @ approx. 2 min

Tatanka vs Sylvan
Tatanka starts right away and gets two leg drops followed by punches and chops. Tatanka follows Sylvan to the outside and tosses him back in. Tatanka with more punches as Sylvan goes back to the outside where he turns the tables with a running clothesline. Back inside Sylvan gets a knee and a nice knee to the back. Sylvan hits a weird spinebuster for two. Rest hold now and Tatanka fights back. Tatanka with a high back drop followed by a pair of clotheslines. The war dance! Tatanka with chops and a whip. Sylvan counters but walks into a samoan drop. Tatanka with a tope rope tomahawk chop for two. Sylvan up and Tatanka finally gets his finisher for three.

Winner: Tatanka via pinfall @ 5:47

Batista vs Ken Kennedy
Kennedy with a headlock and he works it into a hammerlock. Batista fights back with forearms and gets some shoulders in the corner. Batista tosses Kennedy across the ring. Kennedy to the outside and Batista follows. Batista on the attack buy Kennedy bites him. Batista pulls Kennedy into the ring post shoulder first. Back inside Batista goes after the shoulder but Kennedy gets a deep basement dropkick to the knee and goes to work on the leg. Kennedy hits Batista with a scissors kick to the face for two. Kennedy with a leg submission but Batista powers out. Kennedy goes for a suplex but Batista reverses it only to have Kennedy reverse it mid air into a body press for two! Kennedy with kicks to the leg but Batista comes back with a clothesline. Rights by Batista and whip to the corner followed up by a clothesline. Another whip and another clothesline. Backdrop by Batista and send s Kennedy off the ropes, but he telegraphed it! Kennedy with kicks but walks right into a the spinebuster! Thumbs up, thumbs down…. Batista Bomb finishes it.

Winner: Batista via pinfall @ 7:38

Michael Cole thinks he works for ESPN or something as he wants to interview after the match. He congratulates Batista on finally scoring the win over Kennedy. Batista tells Cole to congratulate him when he wins back his World title.

Big Vito vs The Brooklyn Brawler
(I guess he is no longer the Boston Brawler.) Vito shows some leg to start. Lock up and Brawler begs for a clean break but takes a cheap shot. In the shuffle, Vito’s dress gets ripped and he doesn’t like that. Vito with a clothesline and a sleeper. Brawler comes back with elbows and a rake to the eyes. They both trade rights until Vito gets a reverse elbow. Spinning DDT and the cross-dresser submission gets the victory for Vito. That’s the most offense I’ve ever seen from the Brooklyn Brawler.

Winner: Big Vito via submission @ 2:19

Backstage Teddy Long is in his office talking with Montel Vontavious Porter (new guy from Deep South Wrestling.) Porter tells Long that Smackdown needs the MVP for 2006 but Long will have to talk to his agent first. Long is surprised at the amount of money it will take to sign the MVP and tells the agent they should meet soon.

The Miz is on to encourage us to vote for our favorite diva. This diva stuff really bores me, but you should’ve seen Layla rubbing pie all over herself. I need a moment alone.

KC James & Aaron The Idol Stevens w/ Michelle McCool vs Funaki and Scotty 2 Hotty
Stevens and S2H to start. Stevens with the early offense and a monster clothesline on S2H. Tags in KC who gets a elbow from the second rope. S2H fights back but KC prevents him from getting the tag while Stevens sneaks in some cheap shots. Stevens tagged back in and KC slams S2H over the knee of Stevens. KC isolates S2H as he and Stevens take turns tagging and double teaming S2H behind the refs back. S2H gets and opening and reaches for the tag but KC hangs onto his leg. S2H misses the enziguri and KC right back on the attack. Stevens in and S2H reverses a suplex and gets the hot tag to Funaki who cleans house. Stevens sends Funaki to the corner but he counters with a bulldog. All four men in now! While the ref argues with S2H, Stevens sling shots Funaki into a missile dropkick from KC for the win.

And that is our Smackdown! Summary Slam of the Night! (Steven catapults Funaki across the ring as KC hits a perfectly placed missile dropkick to the side of the head. Truly devastating.)

Winners: James & Stephens via pinfall @ 6:19

Sharmell pumps King Booker up for his match against the dead man.

Chavo says he turned on Rey because Rey stole the Guerrero family name and their blood. Chavo says he grew up with Eddie and they were like brothers. Chavo mentions that Smackdown Magazine did an article on Latinos in wrestling and it was Rey on the cover in a low rider instead of himself. He says Rey isn’t a Guerrero and stole his spotlight. He continues by saying Rey did everything to tie himself to Eddie, be it wrestling Eddie or teaming with him. Rey should’ve retired with him when Eddie died, but instead used Eddie’s name to elevate himself to the title and still couldn’t stand on his own. Chavo says he and that is why he cost Rey the title at the Great American Bash. Chavo puts the icing on the cake by saying that Rey stole the Eddies’s memory from the fans and his family and is a leech living off the Guerrero name.

Mysterio is out and he and Chavo get it on! Eddie’s wife Vickie hops the rail and separates them. Huge Eddie’s chants. Chavo and Vickie go backstage.

Main Event: Undertaker vs King Booker
King Booker (KB) starts with a thumb to the eyes of the Undertaker (UT) followed by a headlock. UT gets out and gets a shoulder block and some rights. He clotheslines KB outside as we go to commercial break.

As we come back, KB is in control with chops and sends UT to the outside. He gets some offense on the outside and continues the assault with punches and kicks back on the inside. Out of nowhere, UT tosses KB into the corner and starts throwing the soup bones. He starts to work the shoulder of KB and . He wrenches the shoulder and goes for old school but Sharmell offers a distraction allowing KB to arm drag him from the top rope. UT comes right back to the shoulder though and this time hits old school on KB. KB up and runs right into the flatfliner for two. UT goes back to the shoulder. Running knee in the corner to KB but misses a second one. KB wraps UT leg around the ring posts and works in some offense. KB with a jumping sidekick for a close two count. KB with an arm wrench into the standing side kick for two more. He hits a leg drop to the mid section of UT and goes for the scissors kick but UT side steps and they trade rights until UT gets a headbutt. Ut with a whip to the corner followed by a pair of clotheslines. UT hits snake eyes followed by the yakuza kick for 2 2/3 count! KB up and UT hits the chokeslam but here comes The Great Khali! UT attacks him and that draws the DQ. Khali with the one handed chop and poses over UT. But Ut is back up and he’s pissed! Rights by UT to Khali, and a clothesline to the outside.

Winner: Undertaker via DQ @ 13:17

Taker on the mic and he challenges Khali to a Last Man Standing match at Summerslam and we’re out!

The Smackdown Summary: Not a bad Smackdown this week. We actually saw signs of a tag division! KC James and Idol Stevens look to be a good tag team and should have some classic matches with London and Kendrick;and with Matt and Jeff Hardy back together, things look positive for Smackdown! Elijah Burkes seems to be a cross betweein Orlando Jordan and Randy Orton (not necessarily good or bad.) Now they just need to establish a #1 contender to face King Booker at Summerslam.
