Harris and Storm follow up from Sacrifice in an awesome match, but which one advances to the KOTM match?
TNA Impact Begins…NOW!
-We get a video recap of last week's show.
-Tenay and West welcome us to the show.
Robert Roode w/Miss Brooks vs. Jerry Lynn
Lock up and Roode clubs away at JL. To the corner and rights by Roode. Off the ropes and a head scissors by JL. Arm bar, and Roode rolls out, to his feet and to the corner again they go. Boots by JL, Irish whip and Roode gets a knee to the gut and then lays the boots to him. Crowd really hates Roode as they chant for Eric and give Brooks hell. To the floor and JL whipped to the railing. Roode charges and eats a boot, but then rushes JL into the steel again. Back in the ring and Roode covers for 2. Roode works the ribs and back again, and then a gut buster follows for 2. Seated waist lock by Roode, crowd into JL as he escapes and gets a clothesline. Another and Roode stays on his feet. RANA by JL! Off the ropes and a sunset flip gets 2 for JL. Dropkick and a NICE DDT by JL gets another 2! He goes for the Cradle Piledriver, Brooks distracts the ref, low blow and the Payoff (Perfect plex) connects and that is all.
Winner: Robert Roode @ 4:08 via pin
-After the match he outs the boots to JL and Eric rushes out to save JL. He chases and then Roode tosses Brooks in his way, into the ring he tosses her and has the chair, JL grabs her and Cornette is out to stop this. He said no men beating on women in TNA and he meant it. Cornette then says she WILL get beat up tonight because she has something coming and she will face Gail Kim.
-Leticia is with Tomko. He says he didn't talk to Cage because he changed his numbers, but tonight, he'll have no place to run.
-Back from commercial with a video package about the Sting and Daniels feud. Good package with voiceovers from Daniels.
-Earlier today Tenay talked with Sting and Daniels. They are standing together like they are fine. Daniels has something to say. 5-months ago he lost the X-Title and he saw Sting, and realized he could get good advice from him. He got it and Sting stops him. He says they talked and Daniels didn't understand and went the other way. Daniels says he understood and he had to erase the gray area. Pain, vengeance, he understands. Sting says Daniels is wrong, and he never said these things. Daniels says after last week he paid his penance. Maybe they need to deal with things in private and he will make things right, he promises. Sting doesn't believe him.
-Leticia is with Gail and Brooks runs in and attacks her. They brawl and security is here to stop that.
-Back to Tenay and West at ringside. They discuss the ladies match, and last week and Dutt saying he would change.
-Paparazzi is here and Machismo and Nash talk about him facing Jake Roberts. Dutt is here, and he is ready to show them the new Dutt. He is dressed all in white. He talks all Ghandi like, and says they need to see what he sees. Machismo makes Jake Roberts jokes and Dutt says he is the GOOD Sonjay Dutt. Next week, they meditate.
-Back from commercial and we see highlights of the Slammiversary Press Conference. We see the Storm vs. Wycheck confrontation and clips that showed on the news. Wycheck killed Storm with the JJ guitar. Lots of local media clips shown.
-Tenay and West discuss what happened.
-JB is with AJ Styles. Angle is here and says good job. He then says he will cripple him and leaves. AJ asks why he would say that. Anyway, he hasn't seen Christian and is going to call. Cage appears incognito and pulls AJ into a room. LOW PROFILE~!
Gail Kim vs. Traci Brooks
Brooks runs to kick off the match. Back in and Brooks lays the boots to Kim. Slam by Brooks countered and Kim spears her and they brawl. Boots by Kim, run up the ropes arm drag by Kim and then a slam connects. Kim up top, Brooks grabs the ref, they hit the ropes and Kim falls to the mat. Brooks chokes her in the ropes, slams her down and covers for 2. Hair slam by Brooks. Kim fights back, but Brooks gets a gut wrench suplex for 2. Brooks beats her down some more, goes to the ropes and Kim fights back. Up top with her, TOP ROPE RANA by Kim! Kim charges her, eats a boot but gets a clothesline. Off the ropes and a hair mare by Kim. Knee drop and a cover for 2. Jawbreaker by Brooks, TKO try countered, roll up by Kim and that is all.
Winner: Gail Kim @ 3:41 via pin
-Roode hits the ring, Kim attacks and Brooks slams her down. Clothesline by Brooks and she slaps her around. Roode stands over her and yells at her.
-Leticia is with Tomko who is looking for Cage. He asks JB where he is and we head to a commercial.
-Back from commercial and they hype the Steiner's vs. 3D match that won't be happening.
-Tomko looks for Cage backstage. Cage is in the office reading a magazine and Tomko finds him. Cage says to calm down and Tomko asks why he screwed him. Cage says he would have blown him off three years ago if he didn't care. But he saw something in him, offered him an autograph. He had dreams and was making minimum wage, and Cage took him under his wing. Instead, he got to walk with the champ, the main event. I guess I screwed you when I brought you into TNA huh? I tried to help you last week by giving you a chair, but you thought, that's my job. When it is your time, I will let you know, I made you, never forget that. We can throw this to the side and worry about me, but we need to find out my opponent for the KOTM match. Tomko says fine and leaves.
KOTM Qualifier: James Storm w/Miss Jackie Moore vs. Chris Harris
They begin brawling on the floor and into the crowd. Storm slammed to the wall as we enter TNA MAIN EVENT STYLE~! Storm tosses water into Harris' face and starts firing off rights. Crowd brawling, Storm whipped to the railing now. But Storm fires back and slams Harris into the wall. Harris fights back and slams Storm into the railing again. Harris into the ring, up top and DIVES OVER THE RAILING INTO THE CROWD onto Storm~! Harris back ringside and gets a chair. Misses Storm and he jacks Harris with a right. Storm has the chair, lays Harris on it and has another and KILLS Harris! We head to commercial @ 3:00.
Back from commercial @ 6:50 as Harris slams Storm into the railing. Harris is busted open from the previous chair shot and Storm is busted open as well. Jackie nails Harris, he grabs her and Storm nails him to stop that. Storm and Harris look for tables and get them. They set them up, one has a leg break and Storm also has a cane as Harris gets a trashcan. Back in the ring and Harris has the lid as does Storm. They nail each other and the crowd is loving this. Can shot by Harris and a cover for 2. Harris has Storm, superkick blocked and a right by Storm. Irish whip, boot by Harris and a 2nd rope sunset flip and a catapult by Storm sends Harris into a chair for 2. We take ANOTHER commercial @ 10:30.
Back from commercial @ 14:00 with Storm skinning the cat and eating a can shot. Harris tries a spear and eats a lid shot. Harris laid on the table, Storm goes up top…SENTON KILLS HARRIS~! Storm has a lid again, Harris is a bloody mess and eats some shots. Harris comes back with shots of his own. They brawl beside the ramp, Storm throws a beer bottle and misses. Harris SPEARS STORM THROUGH THE BOTTOM OF THE STAGE~! Both men are down and the ref tells Penzer that if they do not return to the ring by the count of 10, they lose their shot at the KOTM. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, Angle is out to watch, 8, 9, Joe is out and shoves Angle, 10.
Winner: Double Count out @ 17:11
-Angle and Joe brawl now! He slams Joe to the steps and then Joe slams Angle to the steps. Jabs by Joe, Angle slammed to a table. Into the ring they go, and here is security. AJ is out and misses Angle with a pipe shot, Angle gets the ankle lock on him.
-In Cornette's office, Cage wants to know his opponent. He demands to know. Corette says it is an easy match, someone Cage called a punk, Cornette says to trust him.
-King of the Mountain Match to Crown the first TNA World Champion: Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles vs. WINNER OF CAGE vs. ???
-We get the closing video and that is the show.
