We have a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion! Of course, I'm sure you all know before reading this. Stupid WWE.com. Grrrr.
Hey everyone. I'm sick tonight so I apologize for this half ass recap but I promise next week will be better.
1. The winner of each match will receive two points unless it is by count out or DQ in which they will receive one point.
2. The winner of a title match will receive an additional point for retaining and two additional points for winning a belt.
3. The winner of the main event will get an additional point.
4. The winner of a specialty match will get an additional point.
5. In a tag team match, a wrestler on the winning team that does not pick up the win will get one point. If the match ends in a DQ or a DRAW, both members of the winning team will get one point.
6. If the match ends in a draw, all wresters involved will get half a point for participating.
7. If it is an elimination match, each elimination is worth one point.
8. If the match is for example, a Best Two Out of Three Falls Match or an Iron Man Match, each fall is worth one point
We kick the show off tonight with Teddy Long telling us that Edge is injured and since he is the World Champion, he must relinquish the title. He brings out, for the last time as World Heavyweight Champion, Edge. Edge comes out and says this will be difficult for him. He talks about since he was a kid, he wanted to become World Champion. He talks about his past injuries and says he has come back every time. He talks about Kane attacking him last week since he knew Kane couldn't beat him and now the title match is off since he will be out for four months. Edge then gives us a tribute video of himself. After the video, Long announces a twenty man Battle Royal for the title tonight. Edge tries to hang on to the title, but he eventually hands it to Long and leaves.
Match #1: Torrie Wilson vs. Victoria
They yell at each other and then Victoria pushes her down. Torrie tries a roll up but gets a 1 count. Torrie starts kicking Victoria in the corner and then a hair whip. Outside the ring, Torrie jumps Victoria from the ring apron. Both girls back in the ring and Torrie shoves Victoria out and nails a baseball slide. Victoria fights back with some kicks. Torrie gets some rights but Victoria takes her down. Torrie counters a suplex into a small package for two. Torrie gets another roll up for two. Victoria nails a boot to the jaw and locks in a modified head lock. Torrie gets to her feet but Victoria whips her down. Torrie fights back with a swinging neckbreaker for two. Victoria out of nowhere though nails the Widow's Peak for the win.
Winner: Victoria via pin fall
Points: Victoria wins via pin fall

Match #2: Battle Royal for WWE World Heavyweight Championship
I got Batista, Great Khali, Eugene, Finlay, Kane, Deuce & Domino, Chavo Guerrero, Mark Henry, Matt Hardy, MVP, Chris Masters, Kenny Dykstra, Jaime Noble and I'm missing a few but I think we got the crop of the crew who has a shot at it anyway. Big clusterfuck action going on. Mark Henry eliminated both the Major Brothers. Great Khali eliminates Shannon Moore and Funaki as we go to commercial.
We're back and half the battle royal participants eliminate Mark Henry. I won't be counting points for that. Batista knocks out both Deuce & Domino. Dave Taylor jumps Batista but gets thrown out as well. Batista and Kane square off until Jamie Noble tries to fight both men and they toss him. Eugene goes to celebrate with them but he gets tossed out by both men as well.
We're back with Chris Masters eliminating Kenny Dykstra. Hardy tosses out MVP, Chavo and Yang eliminate Chris Masters, Yang eliminate Chavo, Hornswoggle helps eliminate Yang but he wasn't in the match, Khali eliminates Hardy, Batista tosses out Finlay, and as Batista and Kane brawl, Khali eliminates both men to win the title.
Winner and New WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Great Khali
Points: Mark Henry tosses 2: 2 Points
Batista tosses 6: 6 Points
Kane tosses 2: 2 Points
Chris Masters tosses 1: 1 Point
Matt Hardy tosses 1: 1 Point
Jimmy Wang Yang tosses 2: 2 points
Chavo Guerreros tosses 1: 1 point
Great Khali tosses 3, wins the match, and World Heavyweight Championship: 9 Points

In the back, and Khali is mumbling like a moron. Mr. Translator Guy translates into some generic all the people from India being happy and his reign will be dominating.
Vicky and Teddy talk about Khali not having an opponent for Great American Bash so tonight, Kane and Batista will go one on one for the #1 Contendership.

Match #3: Kenny Dykstra vs. Matt Hardy
They lock up and Hardy gets a quick roll up for one. Kenny gets a two on a small package. They lock up again and Hardy gets a headlock takedown submission. Kenny fights out but Hardy gets another headlock. Kenny fights out and nails some rights hands. Scoop slam by Kenny but he misses an elbow. Hardy nails some forearms and tosses Kenny out of the ring. Baseball slide by Hardy. Both men in the ring and Kenny tosses Hardy into the turnbuckle. Dykstra takes Hardy down and hits a springboard knee drop. Chin lock by Kenny. Hardy gets out but gets hit with a standing dropkick. Clothesline by Kenny followed by another. Chinlock by Kenny but Hardy gets to his feet. Kenny locks in a sleep but Hardy reverses into a backdrop. Kenny comes back with a drop toe hold and pounds away on him. Chin lock by Kenny again and then Hardy reverses a neckbreaker into a clothesline. Running splash/bulldog combo by Hardy for a two count. Scoop slam by Hardy followed by the "Ahhh I'm on the top rope so look at me" elbow. Hardy goes for the Side Effect but Kenny gets out. Kenny goes to the top but Hardy knocks him off his feet and nails a top rope Twist of Fate for the win!
Winner: Matt Hardy via pin fall
Points: Matt Hardy wins via pin fall: 2 Points

We get a Jesse and Festus coming to Smackdown skit.
MVP gets interviewed about his match for the Great American Bash. He goes off on the reporter.

Match #4: Batista vs. Kane
They lock up and shove off. Lock up again and Batista nails clotheslines. Both men back up and they brawl in the corner. Kane gets a choke on. Kane gets a headlock in on Batista but he gets knocked off. They exchange clothesline and irish whips. Kane nails a huge big boot sending Batista out of the ring. They clothesline each other outside the ring.

We're back and they are slugging it out. Kane goes to the top but Batista stops him. Running powerslam by Batista! Batista goes for the Bomb but Kane shoulders him into the corner. Kane goes back on top and he misses the clothesline. SPINEBUSTER by Batista. Batista goes for the spear but Kane kicks him, plants the ~GOOZLE~ and nails a chokeslam for a two. Both men brawl outside the ring. Both men back in the ring abd Batista nails a top rope shoulder block. Great Khali comes to cause the draw but Batista and Kane send him packing. Long comes out and announces a Triple Threat Match between the three men at Great American Bash!
