Match #1: Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore vs. WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison (ECW) and Miz (ECW) for the WWE Tag Team Championship
Yang gets Miz in a waist lock to start but Miz becomes aggressive and knocks Yang down with an uppercut. Miz gets a few shots but Yang comes back with a clothesline. Tag to Moore. Yang hits a suplex and Moore hits a floating senton for a two count. Leg drop by Moore for two. Miz gets a club to the face and tags Morrison. Morrison hits an uppercut and then strikes down Moore in the corner. Whip to the corner by Morrison but Moore elbows him after a failed charge by Morrison and then Moore jumps to the top rope and hits a crossbody for two. Tag to Morrison and he nails a high drop kick for two. Yang locks in a wrist lock and then puts Morrison on the top rope. Yang runs up and nails him with a heel kick. He climbs up with Morrison and tried to hit a superplex but Morrison blocks it. He goes for a sunset flip off the top rope on Yang but Yang hangs on to the ropes and hits Morrison in the face so Morrison just drags Yang off hard. Tag to Miz and they get a double knee to the gut. Miz with a hard Irish whip to the corner for two. Miz locks in a kneeling abdominal stretch until Yang gets to his feet but Miz charges Yang in the corner and hits some shoulder thrusts. Yang tries to fight back with some shots but Miz nails the splashing clothesline for a two count. Miz tags Morrison and launches Yang into Morrison's forearm and Yang lands down on Miz's knee. Morrison hits an elbow drop over the ropes for two. Morrison gets a chin lock in. Yang gets to his feet and then gets a quick roll up for two. Morrison drags Yang to Miz and tags him in. Miz hits a leg drop and goes back to the abdominal stretch until a jawbreaker by Yang. Miz tags Morrison and he gets to Yang's foot. Yang misses the enzaguri but kicks Morrison away and tags Moore. Moore goes to town with heel kicks and hurricanrans to both Miz and Morrison but Morrison it's a springboard heel kick. Miz and Yang fight on the outside of the ring while Moore counters a neckbreaker into a backslide. Morrison gets up at two and is able to hit the Moonlight Rise (Foley calls it that, it's the flipping neckbreaker thing we've been calling the Palace of Wisdom) for the victory. **1/4 Pretty solid tag team match as usual from the two teams but it was a little slower than their usual affairs which isn't a bad thing, I just prefer their faster stuff. Again though, solid match.
Winners and Still WWE Tag Team Champions: John Morrison and Miz via pin fall on Shannon Moore by Morrison

We come back to the special ring announcer for the following match, Armando Estrada. He makes fun of Colin Delany and introduces him.
Colin Delany (free agent) vs. Vladimir Kozlov
Colin has the better entrance music in my opinion. Vlad knocks Colin down to start. Colin tries a double leg take down but Vlad doesn't budge and tosses him. Big boot by Vlad and he gets a few more kicks. Colin gets a few kicks but Vlad nails a shoulder thrust and then drops Colin on the turnbuckle. Vlad punts Colin in the air off the top rope, catches him, and hits a fall away slam. Vlad nails the reverse DDT for the win. 1/2* I loved the punt by Vlad, but I'm still not sold on him and he still comes off as a generic big man.
Winner: Vladimir Kozlov via pin fall
In the back, Nunzio is lacing up his boots. Mark Henry comes in and he reminds him that he is the World's Strongest Man and he wishes him luck. We are also reminded Nunzio still has a job.

We get a replay of Natalya defeating Cherry last week.
Match #3: Cherry and Michelle McCool vs. Natalya and Victoria
McCool starts it off with Natalya. Foley reads a poem about McCool which is actually Bruce Springsteen lyrics. They lock up and Natie gets a headlock takedown. McCool tries a hip toss but Nattie takes her down. Tag to Victoria and McCool charges her into the corner and hits some shoulder thrusts. McCool whips her off the ropes and gets a jackknife cover for two. McCool runs off the ropes and hits the spinning wrist lock arm drag. Tag to Cherry and she hits a cross body for two. Cherry gets a springboard sunset flip for two. She shoves Nattie off the apron and slaps Victoria before being tripped by Nattie. Victoria tags in Nattie and she get a sleeper hold applied but Cherry hits a jawbreaker. Nattie gets Cherry in her corner but Cherry fights out and tags McCool. She takes out Victoria and hits a few dropkicks on Nattie. Splash in the corner then a swinging neckbreaker for two. Huge kick to the chest by McCool . She goes to the top rope and Victoria knocks her down. Nattie gets a pin with the tights for the win. *3/4 That was pretty damn good for a WWE Divas match. All the ladies preformed well and Foley reciting Springsteen on commentary several times was classic.
Winners: Natayla and Victoria via pin fall on Michelle McCool by Natayla
We get footage from Backlash of Undertaker defeating Edge and pimp Undertaker vs. Great Khali for the World Title tonight.

Match #4: Mark Henry vs. Nunzio w/Big Show (ECW)
Before Nunzio gets to the ring, be brings out Big Show as his outside enforcer. Well, they do go back as ECW members in 2006. Nunzio gets a few kicks but Henry catches a kick and knocks him down. Henry throws him around and hits the World's Strongest Slam for the win. After the match, Henry is about to destroy Nunzio but Big Show runs in the ring and Henry leaves. Big Show challenges him to pick on somebody his own size. 1/4* Poor Nunzio was just a tool to enhance the Big Show/Henry feud.
Winner: Mark Henry via pin fall

We get highlights of Matt Hardy defeated MVP for the United States Championship at Backlash.
Match #5: WWE United States Champion Matt Hardy vs. MVP for the WWE United States Championship

Headlock takedown to MVP but MVP get up, knocks down Hardy, and then hits a big clothesline. MVP mounts him and hits a few shots. Snapmare by MVP and then he locks in a headlock. Hardy gets to his feet and nails a jawbreaker. Hardy hits a bulldog and gets a one count. Reverse neckbreaker by Hardy and then a headlock takedown. MVP escapes the headlocks and gets a few kicks to the back. Hardy is in the corner and he comes firing out with some strikes. He chokes MVP with the middle rope and then gets a jackknife roll up for a two count. MVP gets up and drives Hardy into the corner. MVP misses the big boot but gets a clothesline. MVP knocks Hardy off the ring apron as we go to commercial.

We're back with MVP striking away on Hardy. MVP chokes Hardy out with his own arms until Hardy gets to his feet and is able to break the hold after whipping MVP over his head and then hits a Side Effect for two. MVP comes fighting back with some kicks and works on the neck of Hardy. MVP gets Hardy on the top rope but Hardy nails a tornado DDT. He goes to the top and hits a flying elbow for two. MVP slams Hardy into the corner and nails the running big boot. Hardy hangs off the bottom rope and MVP rolls to the outside and hits another running boot. MVP rolls back in and applies another choke to Hardy ad then mounts him with punches. Chin lock by MVP but Hardy gets to his feet only to be hit by a forearm. Hardy fights back with a few shots and hits the Twist of Fate out of nowhere for the win. **1/2 Good match but the ending felt weak. It will be interesting to see if the feud continues or not.
Winner and Still WWE United States Champion: Matt Hardy via pin fall

We come back to Mick Foley in the ring and he introduces Batista. Foley thanks him for coming out and then talks about his match with HBK at Backlash. Foley then talked about the controversy surrounding the ending of the match at Backlash and we get footage. Batista says he respects HBK but does not like the way he got to the top. He said he let his guard down and HBK won. Foley then shows footage of HBK on the Highlight Reel where Jericho gives him the award for Best Actor in Sports Entertainment. Foley asked Batista if he thought HBK faked the leg injury and Batista responds by saying that it would make him sick to his stomach that HBK would fake it. He warns HBK that he better be hurt, or he will hurt him.
-Commercial-
Match #6: Curt Hawkins and Zach Ryder vs. Jesse and Festus
Bell rings and Festus chases off both men and gets some headbuts to Hawkins. Scoop slam and tag to Jesse. Festus slams Jesse on top of Hawkins for two. Snapmare by Jesse but Hawkins gets the tag to Ryder. Jesse gets some elbows and mounts him with punches after a Lou Thez Press. Ryder jumps Jesse after Hawkins distracts. Tag to Hawkins and he kicks away. Hawkins slams him down and tags Ryder who gets a side chin lock. Ryder slams Jesse down and tags Hawkins. Hawkins hits a side Russian leg sweep and tags Ryder. Ryder tries to prevent the tag to Festus but Jesse hits a backdrop and tags Festus. Tag to Hawkins and Festus destroys both men. Running splashes to Hawkins and then a shoulder block. Running sit down bomb to Hawkins. Ryder distracts him and Hawkins hits him in the throat, still injured from Undertaker. Festus tags out to Jesse who eats a swinging reverse neckbreaker by Hawkins and Hawkins and Ryder win. *1/2 Decent little match. Ryder and Hawkins are molding well and we have follow up from the match Festus had with Undertaker.
-Commercial-
Match #7: Finlay vs. Julio Denaro
Finlay slams Julio and hits a headlock takedown. Shoulder thrust to Julio and then a few clubs. Julio gets a big right hand but Finlay hits a clothesline. Julio get a kick and an uppercut but Finlay launches him out of the ring. Hornswoggle drags Julio under the ring and Finlay drags him back out. Finlay rolls Julio in the ring and hits a running senton. Celtic Cross by Finlay and that's over. After the match, Hornswoggle hits a Tadpole Splash afterwards.1/2* Fun little beat down by Finlay.
Winner: Finlay via pin fall

We are set for Undertaker defending the World Title against Great Khali, but Edge and Vicky Guerrero come out and Vicky says the match is called off. She tells Undertaker that his choke hold is illegal in WWE and he has injured a number of wrestlers. From this moment on, Vicky has banned the choke hold. She tells Taker if he uses that choke hold again, there will be Hell to pay. Since he has had no remorse over the past injuries, she regrets to inform him that he has been stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship. Undertaker refuses to hand over the title so Vicky sends out Great Khali. Taker lays the belt down and challenges Khali to get it. Khali grabs the belt and Taker hits him with a big boot. He then locks in that LETHAL CHOKE HOLD. During this, Hawkins and Ryder run down and take the belt as Taker chokes out Khali. Vicky and Edge leave with the belt as Taker stares down.

I've got no problem with the "Cherry is starting a singles career because Duece and Domino abandoned her" angle. But they need to have it a bit more intense, Have Duece and Domino harass her backstage or something. but their relationship needs closure!
Posted By: Davy (Guest) on May 02, 2008 at 10:25 PM
Ok is russo secretly trying to bring down all of wrestling with horrible crap like this. Well it's working.
Posted By: Guest#0017 (Guest) on May 02, 2008 at 10:32 PM
Davy, there's a really good video on WWE.com that does just that. Deuce and Domino, with Maryse, tell Cherry that they are done with her. Maryse follows it up with telling Cherry that she's nothing and has got nothing. At first, it looks like Cherry is going to walk away dejected, but she turns around and smacks Maryse HARD across the face. It's a pretty awesome little spot.
Granted, it'd be better if they showed it on Smackdown, but hopefully it'll make an appearance before her next match.
Posted By: Mina (Guest) on May 02, 2008 at 10:58 PM
Thanks. but still shouldn't D&D come out with Maryse sometime soon to show that's what happened?
and wasn't Maryse supposed to be getting up on the card by flirting with Teddy Long?
Half assed storylines are better than than horrible writing, so smackdown gets points over TNA, but that doesn't really help.
Posted By: Davy (Guest) on May 02, 2008 at 11:08 PM
Guest#0017, I think WWE is keeping as far away from Russo as possible, he's TNA's problem now.
Besides, I thought SmackDown was good tonight.
Posted By: William (Guest) on May 02, 2008 at 11:19 PM
foley didnt call it a "Moonlight Rise" he called it a Moonlight Drive after the doors song
Posted By: Guest#2190 (Guest) on May 02, 2008 at 11:50 PM
I agree with you, Davy. Here's hoping next week shows something like that on the program.
I do get the drive for more hits to WWE.com, but there's definitely something to be said for giving the storyline air time on Smackdown.
Posted By: Mina (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 12:00 AM
so.. we get an angle about a move that for like 2 months still doesn't have a name????????????
Posted By: Pepo (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 12:13 AM
I loved how, after scoring the pinfall, Natalya couldn't wait, so she raised the ref's arm and pointed at her own.
Posted By: Mikey (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 12:18 AM
i have a feeling its gonna be edge vs cm punk for the world heavyweight title..punks gona be the new champ! yeh!
undertaker is moving to raw guys!! finally..
Posted By: sid (Registered) on May 03, 2008 at 01:01 AM
so Vickie strips Taker of his belt, does this mean she will hand it over to Edge and if he ever loses it she will simply strip it off the winner, thats freaking stupid as is the edge vickie storyline.....Edge will never lose as long as he has vickie.....boring
Posted By: melissa (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 01:13 AM
after tonight under taker had better be moving to raw. if he doesn't then its time that he gave vickie another tome stone pile drive or puts her in his new choke hold! other then under taker getting treated like crap tonigh was ok, i love the new cherry angle. GIVE TAKER BACK HIS BELT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted By: Guest#6011 (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 01:38 AM
I am pissed that I paid 55 bucks for wreslemania just to have the champ's wins mean nothing. Please someone fire Vicki!
Posted By: T-Mac (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 02:04 AM
how can you not give atleast 2 full stars for the girls match? That was LEAPS and bounds over what any other WWE girls match would have been. I didnt even see a mistake happen.
Posted By: Outlaw (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 02:22 AM
So does Big Show really believe the crap coming out of his mouth? Pick on someone your own size? Does he not remember his OWN actions of always picking on little people? Hell when he came back this time he attacked Rey and went into a Feud with Mayweather.
Posted By: Chris (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 02:24 AM
CM PUNK will cash in his MITB for the vacant belt......i hope so...hehehe
Posted By: deeno (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 03:35 AM
Can u believe this shit? It's a damn good reason I didn't pay to c WM24. History is repeating itself all over again w/ Taker. After this stunt Vickie just pulled, Taker better be headed 2 RAW. This just don't make any sense at all. This better be going somewhere good... fast!
Posted By: Brian (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 03:35 AM
There was a time when WWE was boring and predictable. And the last week everything has changed. Finally we get stuff that makes me wanna come back and see what happends.
I really wanna see where they go with The Undertaker now.
But is he really moving to RAW??? The guy hates the politics, thats why he has stayed on Smackdown for so long.
Posted By: Spike (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 05:52 AM
EPIC FAIL!
Posted By: darknight (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 06:29 AM
'Taker/Edge III Ladder or TLC Match at Judgment Day. Anyone? Anyone?
Posted By: Stuart (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 08:29 AM
I'm intrigued. It is a good way to have CM Punk win the title without going over someone credible, just to see if he can hold it and be popular.
I'm still unhappy that The Undertaker isn't getting a long run with the title, but I'll see where they go with it before stupidly calling it an "EPIC FAIL !".
Posted By: DomDom (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 08:49 AM
I liked the U.S.Title match, but the end was pretty shitty. Matt's babyface comeback is thre punches and a Twist of Fate? Way to get the crowd fired up. The women's match actually looked like a wrestling match instead of a bunch of skanks rolling around aimlessly. I approve. The Undertaker thing is bullshit. Not just cause I'm an Undertaker fan, but shit, the story here is fuckin dumb. They could run a tournament where Edge has a super easy bracket up to the finals where he'll meet CM Punk and lose, thus backfiring his and Vicki's secret evil plan. Then you have the "Oh shit, now what?" angle. But where does that leave the Deadman? Now for Cole Slaw. I GOT YOU, YOU SON OF A BITCH!!! YOU DONE FUCKED UP NOW!!!! Some of you may remember my hate laced diatribe about how MVP was NOT the longest raigning U.S. Champ in history, as Rick Rude and Lex Luger had both held it longer. Rude 2 months longer, and Luger 6. Both their reigns were in WCW. Cole Slaw had his defenders argue to me that those were not counted by WWE because they were WCW reigns, and therefore ignored. Tonight, Cole Slaw ran down past great U.S. Title holders including Ric Flair(WCW) Harley Race (NWA) and Steve Austin (WCW). That means he's counting ALL of history and is therefore WRONG about MVP. I WIN COLE, YOU DICKLESS LITTLE BITCH!!!! OK, I'm done. I feel better now.

I don't see Taker going to SD. Anyway I still think SD is the best show in the WWE and I can't wait to see where this story is going
Posted By: Colin (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 10:36 AM
Come on, its obvious Taker will get his belt back. I predict Teddy Long will prevent vickie from giving edge the belt, instead making a blow-off match at judgement day to end the fued where the choke is barred. HITC maybe? Or perhaps Edge's speciality - a ladder match??? definitely be interesting. But man, wait & see at least before unloading your collective sticky smark wads over your keyboards.
Posted By: Killah (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 10:39 AM
OMG WWE PULLED A WCW LOL. It will be interesting to see where this storyline goes. I think it will end up with Teddy get his power back or something to remove Vickie.
Posted By: Danny P (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 10:57 AM
I love how you guys are getting on Vicki Guerrero's case, like she's actually responsible for all of this. Can you say...MARK.
Personally, I'm still waiting for Undertaker to face charges for locking Ultimate Warrior in that casket all those years ago. That is ATTEMPTED MURDER, people. I won't stand for it.
Posted By: MP (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 12:29 PM
Oh please, Undertaker is going to get his World Title back. I'm thinking were going to see another Taker/Edge at Judgement Day, also a Big Show vs. Mark Henry. And it would be interesting to see if the Matt Hardy/MVP feud continues or not. I don't think that Undertaker is going to Raw anytime soon, don't get me wrong I think it will be fresh for him to see new opponents on Raw but I just don't see that happening now
Posted By: John (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 01:32 PM
i hate wwe
Posted By: tna fan (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 02:18 PM
Shut the fuck up, MP, who cares if people are watching wrestling in a kayfabe kind of way. when you go to the movies, do you think the audience are idiots because they react to a character or do you think something stupid along the lines of "it's the author of the book that this movie is based on ideas, not the character on screen" if so, i feel sorry for you. Or was your point to show how smarter you are than the rest of us?
Posted By: monstro (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 02:50 PM
So wait a second, we have RAW end with the fade to black angle, ECW end with the announce team walking out durring the main event, and the SD having the champion stripped of his title before and no main event.
Did WWE hire Russo back and forget to let it out, or is it just that they figure since Russo is on TNA they don't really have to try anymore and can just close out all 3 shows of the week with no finishers?
This could be one of the worst cases of simply lazy writing that I have seen in a long time in the E.
Posted By: Allen Flange (Registered) on May 03, 2008 at 03:31 PM
Monstro: If you went to the 411 Movies section and posted a comment about how mean the Joker is in "Dark Knight," or about how someone should really arrest the killer in "No Country for Old Men," then you would be a fucking idiot and I would definitely feel smarter than you. Satisfied?
Posted By: MP (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 03:54 PM
RAW and Smackdown have had no main events before and after Russo. The stripping of the title was the best way to end the show as it was the main thing on it.
Was that clear enough for you ?
Posted By: DomDom (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 04:13 PM
Bringing up "Russo" anytime someone feels a show went wrong is corny. Stop being such sheep, just say it was a bad show, some of you weren't even watching wrestling before Russo's TNA days. Be original.
Posted By: -7- (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 05:23 PM
U totally missed the point, MP, you're an idiot.
Posted By: monstro (Guest) on May 03, 2008 at 07:35 PM
You know, Matt Hardy is only a couple of Championships away from being a Grand Slam Champion. All he needs are Intercontinental and World Title/WWE Title reigns and he'll have surpassed Bret Hart and Shawn Micheals in Grand Slammage.
Posted By: Greg (Guest) on May 04, 2008 at 12:19 AM
Wow, Dinero jobbing, there's a big surprise. Here's an idea, but with Mickie James and Punk gettin pushes an interesting angle might go over well in the WWECW. The angle would be to have Dinero show up on WWECW to confront punk on leaving him behind. A feud develops from there with Mickie James coming over to confront the two of them. They have a few weeks of fighting with Colt Cabana and Matt Sydal coming in to join the three forming a stable. With those five feuding with some other fresh faces could turn WWECW into something worth watching.

Err, um yeah, okay, since I have been watching wrestling since Vince was about 17 years old, I guess that would pretty much make the point of that comment moot. However I doubt that it is a "sheep" like comment to realize that at Ruzzo brought the RAW ratings down to an all time low of 1.8, hince the Russo comments. There was even speculation that McMahon sent Russo to the WCW to get rid of them.. So please prior to stating your opinion, please be knowledgable of the subject matter on which you speak. Or would that be too much to ask?
