And we’re off to England for CHICK FIGHT VII!
Introduction:
I am back again for another edition of CHICK FIGHT TV! I hate to say that the bastards at MAV TV have done it again and screwed up the order of the shows, as we jump from the semifinals of CHICK FIGHT VI to the opening round of CHICK FIGHT VII. This upsets me because I really wanted to see the finals of KAORU vs. Daizee Haze. Damn you to hell MAV TV.
But there is nothing I can do, other than to hope that I catch it sometime down the line. As mentioned we're heading to CHICK FIGHT VII, and this time we leave the US and head to Norfolk, England. Today from the US side we'll see CHICK FIGHT IV Champion MsChif, CHICK FIGHT V Champion Cheerleader Melissa, as well as ROH and SHIMMER Regular Lacey. Ladies from the UK that we'll see are Sweet Saraya, Jade and The Jezebel Eden Black; Black has worked for SHIMMER so some of you may already know of her. Sit back and relax, and enjoy the show.

I am bound to offend someone here but oh well. We have one of those crappy small British rings with ropes so loose that they would scare Tito Santana in 1986.
Quarterfinal Match: Cheerleader Melissa vs. Sweet Saraya
Commentary is putting over Saraya as the best ladies wrestler in Europe, and a 17-year veteran. I'll take their word for it. They do put over that many thought of Saraya and Melissa as the favorites, so to get it in the opening round is something special. The British commentators are already100 times better than that fight articulator douche bag from the other shows and he is giving facts and background all during this beginning feeling out process, which sees headlocks and ILLEGAL CLOSED FISTS by Melissa. We'll head to a commercial @ 3:00.
Back @ 5:15 as Saraya is backing off but Melissa goes to work and starts beating on the leg. Stomps to the back of the thigh by Melissa, Saraya gets a glancing Enziguri and works into a headlock. Chops, rights and forearm strikes by Saraya, charges in with a shoulder block in the corner. Melissa back with a slam, lightly off the ropes with the Muta elbow drop and then steps on the face of Saraya. Melissa stands on her face again and works the whole five count, what a bitch. To the feet is Saraya, go behind and into the full nelson, snap mare, Hennig neck flip and a leg drop to finish the combo. Saraya works a side headlock as they show the family of Saraya at ringside. Melissa with a back suplex to escape that, lays the boots to Saraya and then tosses her to the floor. Melissa follows, beats down Saraya a bit with forearms and we head to a commercial @ 9:50.
Back again @ 12:05 as Saraya starts to fight back, grabs Melissa by the hair and tosses her backing the ring. Saraya gets caught on the way in and Melissa chokes her out over the top rope. Snap mare and Melissa chokes out Saraya with her shin, but Saraya gets a head scissors and works for a submission. Melissa kicks her in the head to escape, Saraya gets a sleeper but Melissa escapes. Irish whip, reversal and Saraya catches the foot and slams Melissa down. Bow and arrow variation by Saraya, Melissa escapes and gets a right to the gut of Saraya. Suplex by Melissa, and a cover for 2. Melissa with a version of the Indian deathlock, but Saraya manages to get the ropes when a fan helps push the rope towards her, about half way into the ring. CURB STOMP by Melissa! We'll head to a commercial @ 16:25.
And we're back again from commercial @ 17:55 with Melissa choking out Saraya. Saraya counters a slam into an inverted DDT and covers for 2. Saraya locks in a Boston Crab now, and then Saraya transitions into the MUTOH LOCK! YAY! Melissa then rakes the eyes to escape. Slaps by Melissa, they trade rights and to the corner they go. Samoa Drop (SHE ISN'T EVEN SAMOAN) by Melissa lands and she covers for 2. Melissa now work the surfboard, Saraya works to her feet and escapes and gets a spinning head scissors on Melissa and covers for 2. We head to commercial @ 22:50.
Back from commercial @ 24:30, and Melissa gets a hair mare on Saraya. Melissa works into the reverse cloverleaf, but Saraya turns the hold into an inverted figure four. Melissa escapes, goes for a 2nd rope Samoan Drop, but Saraya turns it into a sunset flip powerbomb. DDT by Saraya and a cover for 2, Melissa got the ropes. Melissa whips Saraya into the ropes and she gets hung up Cactus jack style. People try to free her, but Melissa goes to attack and some random chicks from the back come to stop her, as Saraya husband and son free her. The match ends.
Winner: Cheerleader Melissa @ 28:00 via Opponent Not Being Able to Continue Oh I hate the ending, they work about a 20-minute match and do the bullshit ending basically because Saraya or her promotion didn't want her to job, and CHICK FIGHT didn't want to job Melissa. Don't book the damn match if that is the case. Some fine wrestling here, very slow and methodical at times, but they never got out of second gear and the finish really hurts the bout in my opinion.

Quarterfinal Match: MsChif vs. Jade
MsChif spends the opening minutes screaming at Jade, which scares her and the ref. Funny stuff. They run around the ring, Jade catches MsChif on the way in and lays the boots to her. Jade works the arm, cartwheel counter by MsChif and to the corner they go. Off the ropes and a clothesline by MsChif. Necktie stretch by MsChif. A suplex into a float over into mount and rights by MsChif. Jade is upset and claims her face has been ruined. Waist lock by MsChif, she screams at Jade, takedown but Jade works the arm and gets a kick to the shoulder of MsChif. Jade went to the BLUE BLOODS Training Academy, and worked under Regal and Taylor. She continues her abuse of the arm, bites the hand and we head to a commercial @ 4:00.
Back @ 6:15 as Jade works a reverse hammerlock. A snap mare and leg drop onto the leg of MsChif, and another one into a cover for 2. Knee drops to the arm by Jade, off the ropes, drop toehold by Jade into the reverse Indian death lock while holding the hair of MsChif! She works that into a neck vice and then slams MsChif face first into the mat. MsChif back with forearms, but Jade counters and gets a tornado DDT for a CLOSE 2. MsChif ties Jade up in the corner and gets a sick looking pedigree variation and that will be all.
Winner: MsChif @ 9:05 via pin Weird match, they were doing well but the finish came out of nowhere, like the comeback was cut out in a bad edit, but there was no edit. Odd match lay out, decent work by both ladies though. These shows have gone along way to make me a fan of MsChif.

Quarterfinal Match: The Jezebel Eden Black vs. Lacey
As the ref does the pre-match check, Lacey gets OFFENDED and says the ref grabbed her ass. I would. They lock up, Black gets a go behind and a cravate. Always respect he cravate. Side headlock now, elbows by Lacey and she gets a split and then the monkey flip. She celebrates and eats a shining wizard from Black. Black works the arm, Lacey rolls out and then works kicks and into the wristlock. Black with a flashy counter, including the kip up, and then CRAVATE TIME~! Snap mare by Black and a cover for 2. Small package for 2. Monkey flip by Lacey, but Black holds on and gets a jackknife for 2. Nice counters. Lacey gets a second rope bulldog after slamming Black to the corner, lays in some elbows, "THIS IS HOW WE DOIT IN AMERICA BABY!" and then to the corner for some chops. Black comes back with slaps to the face, forearm strikes but Lacey whips her hard to the corner and she gets a cover for 2. Lacey is pissed and chokes her out, works the whole count doing so and then tells the ref to shut up. Lacey with kicks to the back, and then charges in with the double knees to the back. Tries again, Black ducks but Lacey KILLS her with a swank backdrop driver! Lacey now works the million-dollar dream into a back breaker, and gets a cover for 2. We head to commercial @ 5:50.
Back @ 7:00 and Lacey lays in the forearms, shoots Black off the ropes and gets a side slam for 2. Black blocks a suplex, and Black gets the THREE HANDLED FAMILY CREDENZA out of nowhere for a close 2! Black went for the triangle choke but Lacey counters and gets a reverse Indian deathlock, but Black makes the ropes. They trade forearms, but Lacey scoops her up and gets a TKO for a CLOSE 2! She covers again for 2 and NOW she is officially pissed. Black battles back, Lacey goes for a suplex but Black counters that and gets a cross arm breaker stretch and Lacey has to tap!
Winner: The Jezebel Eden Black @ 10:00 via pin A really strong match to help redeem the show. Lacey gets a bad wrap a lot of the time, but she was focused in her attack and played her heel role perfectly. Black was a good face, sold well and in the end we had a very good little match. Good work ladies.

Cheerleader Melissa, MsChif and The Jezebel Eden Black have all moved onto the Semifinals.
The 411: In many ways this is your basic opening round stuff. Again, as in previous tournaments they seemed to keep it in low gear, which I understand since this is a one-day tournament and there is more to come. But the booking and lay out of the opening two matches were both bad and odd, and I just didn't like it. The work of the ladies was good though. Lacey vs. Black was good stuff and the match of the show. One complaint here was when they went to the hard camera it because VERY dark, making it nearly impossible to watch.
