June 10, 2008 | Posted by Michael Bauer

Welcome to the ECW on Sci-Fi! As always, I am Michael Bauer, your 411 ECW Re-capper.

Opening video leads us to the tandem of Mike Adamle and Tazz at ringside.

Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne vs. Mike Knox and Shelton Benjamin

I am so sick of Mike saying “Jamaican me crazy.” What the hell type of name is Evan Bourne? What was wrong with Matt Sydal like he was announced last week? Well, at least they let him put over that his has fought all over the world. Mike Knox looks more like a grizzly bear every week. We get clips during Shelton’s entrance of his match with Bourne last week, followed by the brawl between him and Kofi. The bell rings and Knox starts with Evan and Bourne hits a jump spin kick, but Bourne just swats him down and tags in Shelton. Shelton with a huge clothesline. Shelton tries o throw Bourne outside, but he flips along the ropes and hits a leg lariat out of nowhere… DAMN! Kofi and Knox in now and he leaps over Knox and hits a dropkick to the face. Kofi gets distracted by Shelton and walks right into a clothesline. Shelton tagged in and he hits a snap suplex before pounding away with right hands. Kofi locked in a chin lock, but he escapes with elbows. Kofi whipped off the ropes, but he gets a monkey flip and Shelton lands on his feet. Kofi then hits a huge dropkick, but Knox gets tagged in and he keeps Bourne out. Kofi kicks himself away and tags in Evan. Bourne hits some kicks, but gets shoved to the ropes. Knox throws him up and Bourne hits a huge hurricarana with some huge height. Bourne gets caught and dumped on the ring apron. Knox hits a huge boot to knock down Bourne. Knox brings in Kofi the hard way, but Kofi lands on his feet and hits the Trouble in Paradise kick. Shelton grabs Kofi as Bourne gets on the ring apron and hits a springboard missile dropkick to the face of Knox for the three count at 4:28.

Winners: Kofi and Bourne

Backstage, Estrada runs into Tiffany, looking for Teddy Long. He sits down next to her and tries to put himself over as a big superstar, but she is smart enough to know better. Tiffany is Long’s assistant apparently. Long is surprised Estrada is here and gives him a chance at a contract, but he has to beat Finlay. Holla, holla, holla.

Back from the break, we see clips of McMahon’s Million Dollar Mania last night, which was kinda boring except for him being Rick-Rolled. Haas got totally PWNED! DAMN!

Kelly Kelly vs. Victoria

Oh, this looks like it will be ugly, despite how hot Kelly is. We go to clips during Smackdown on Natalya wining the first spot in the Smackdown Divas Title match at Night of Champions. The bell rings and Kelly goes on the offensive with a creative kick to the face from her back. Victoria had enough and just waffles Kelly. Kelly gets thrown by the shoulder into the turnbuckle. Arm whip takes down Kelly for a two count. Victoria locks in a grounded hammerlock and hits a knee to the back when she gets up. Kelly gets up again and breaks the hold, but Victoria just hits shoulders. Kelly tries to escape with a flip, but gets decked with a clothesline. Back to the grounded hammerlock and Kelly escapes again, but turns into a boot. Kelly catches Victoria ducking and then vice versa. Kelly into the corner and hits a head scissors. Kelly with a victory roll gets two. Victoria chucks Kelly to the outside and her back hits the ring apron. Kelly with a shoulder to the gut and she tries a cartwheel and Kelly gets her legs around Victoria’s head, but Victoria pushes her off and Kelly drops face first on the floor. The ref starts the countout and then just calls for the bell at 4:30. Another ref comes out and Kelly looks pretty much knocked out. The replay looks even worse.

Winner: Victoria

Finlay vs. Armando Estrada

Finlay comes out to the Hornswoggle music and has to run down the aisle and back to the side of the stage to pick up Hornswoggle’s hat. Finlay looks much more pleasant than normal and Estrada just looks pissed. Adamle’s suck-a-tude is rubbing off on Tazz, uh oh. Armando attacks before the bell. The bell rings and he attacks again, before walking into a boot to the face after an Irish Whip. Finlay with a hard clothesline and a shoulder block in the corner. Finlay has Armando up and he hits the Celtic Cross to end the match in 48 seconds.

Winner: Finlay

But wait, Armando gets another shot to win a contract. He has to face Colin Delaney.

Armando Estrada vs. Colin Delaney

Colin has entrance music now and Finlay hits Estrada with the shillelagh. Colin hits a DDT and gets the pinfall in 15 seconds.

Winner: Colin Delaney

But wait, Armando gets another shot to win a contract. He has to face Hornswoggle.

Armando Estrada vs. Hornswoggle

The card goes nuts and Hornswoggle climbs the top rope and hits a Tadpole Splash for the pinfall in like 10 seconds.

Winner: Hornswoggle

Finlay, Colin, and Hornswoggle start doing an Irish jig until Colin steals the hat of Hornswoggle. Finlay nails Colin with the shillelagh and they leave.

We are back and Mark Henry is in the ring. He talks about the Big Show and his comments from last week. He calls out The Big Show to come out like he told Mark to do. Show is out and he still has one hell of a black eye. Henry actually congratulates Big Show on getting the title shot and he wants to get a shot at Show if he wins. Henry shakes Big Show’s hand and Big Show doesn’t let go. Big Show says that if Mark keeps campaigning for an asswhooping, he will get elected for it. Big Show says nobody else should wish him luck because winning the ECW Title is not luck, it is a fact. This brings out Kane as Big Show is leaving. They meet in the aisle way and stare down. Big Show steps aside so Kane can get to the ring for his match. The pyro goes off and we head to commercial.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match – Kane and CM Punk vs. The Miz and Morrison

Back from the break and CM Punk comes out as Tazz can do nothing but talk about the money from Raw. Miz and Morrison still come out separately, which still makes zero sense. We get a quick look at last week on Kane beating Punk and then the Tag Champions beating on Kane. The bell rings and Morrison starts with Punk. They lock up and Morrison with an arm wrench. Punk rolls out of it and reverses, grounding Morrison in a hammerlock. Morrison escapes with a forearm and Punk with a kick to the ribs. Snapmare by Punk gets a two count. Toe pick by John and Miz is tagged in. Punk backs Miz in a corner and clubs Miz in the chest. Miz blocks a right and goes on the offensive. Punk with a double leg takedown and Miz gets monkey flipped to the outside. Punk comes diving over onto Miz as we go to another break at 2:14.

We are back at 5:32 and Kane backdrops Miz. Kane with an arm wrench and Punk is shown in pain. Kane grounds Miz as we see how Punk injured his ribs right before the break. Kane hits an elbow to Miz’s face, but Miz fights back with crossfaces on the mat. Kane gets back to his feet and he fights off both men before booting Miz. Kane hits two huge clotheslines to Miz in the corner and a sidewalk slam gets a two count. Kane heads up top, but Miz ducks the clothesline. Miz kicks away on Kane and Morison is tagged in and he continues kicking away. Morrison with a chinlock applied, but Kane gets to his feet and he lifts Morrison, but gets backed into the wrong corner. Miz pounds away in the corner with right hands and hits his huge clothesline as Morrison goes up top and hits a missile dropkick for two. Miz tagged back in and Kane hits a huge backdrop. Punk tagged in and he drills John with kicks to the head and a huge bodyslam. Punk whips John into the corner and he walks into a boot. Morrison then walks into a snap powerslam for two. The Miz kicks Punk in the back and Kane gets a shot as well. Miz gets drilled in the head with a kick by Punk. Punk turns into a boot to the gut and the Moonlight Drive for three count at 11:17.
