Wacky TNA Title of the Week: THE MATING GAME!
TNA Impact Begins…NOW!
-We get a video package highlighting last week's show.
-Tenay and West welcome us to the show.
AJ AND KAREN SPEAK
AJ and Karen come to the ring and AJ says Karen went too far, and if he wants a war, he got it. The one thing AJ cares about is Karen. She shouldn't have to come to work afraid, especially of Kurt.
AJ calls out Kurt, but Team 3D makes their way to the ring. Ray jokes about the happy couple and then says AJ has a lot of nerve to run down Kurt hen he isn't here. He is scoring some really hot chicks. So why would you talk bad about a gold medallist? Ray says Karen is the problem and always has been the problem, a soap opera bimbo. AJ is also the problem, because he has been sleeping with another man's wife. AJ says he remembers what Team 3D did to him and says payback is a bitch. Ray mocks the south and sings the Deliverance tune, and says AJ has a bright future but he isn't smart. The only bitch here is Karen.
He calls Karen a "boutona," Ray says Italian for *CENSORED* and AJ attacks. AJ is a house of fire and holds his own for a while, but THE NUMBERS GAME TAKES OVER and AJ is tossed to the floor. He continues to try and battle back, but gets tossed into the steps. AJ manages to duck a shot, Devon hits Ray and he tries to fight back again, but gets tossed into the ring. Reverse 3D to AJ and Team 3D celebrates and Devon gets the tables. No glass this week.
They set it up and Rhino makes the save along with a steel chair. Rhino says they failed to take him out, they tried to take out Cage and it didn't happen. He'll be back at the PPV to kick ass. Rhino challenges 3D and Angle to a 6-man match at Victory Road. Rhino proposes since they all like tables, ladders and chairs, (TLC CHANTS) and Rhino says it should be a Full Metal Mayhem! Rhino vows to cut them all in half with the GORE, GORE, GORE! Devon says they would love to have another war at Victory Road, and says the blood will be on the fans hands since they get to choose between tables and Full Metal Mayhem. TESTIFY~!
-We see Kurt Angle on a blind date. This is the first of three. Kurt says they will all be hot. The first one will be a workout date. He goes to the rock wall and meets the wrong chick at first, but then finds a big ugly chick, which is his date. Kurt is NOT amused.
-We get a video package for the "Fan's Revenge" Strap match.
-LAX is here via Satellite as they are in Houston Texas for promotional work, which looks amazingly like the backstage area of the Impact Zone. Hector promises revenge and that they will beat them down like dogs. They talk through Beer Money Inc's entrance.
-Storm tells Hector to shut up because he can't understand him and he isn't even drunk. He's a 12-pack of badass and Roode is the new ATM. Storm says that they need to get those punk kids out here, so that they can give a preview of Victory Road.
The Motor City Machineguns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) vs. Beer Money Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) w/Miss Jackie

Alex in, distracts the ref and Roode tries a suplex, stopped, Storm in and Sabin then kicks him off and gets the tag. Alex in and cleans house on Beer Money Inc. Sliced bread countered and Storm gets the lung blower. Sabin flies in with a tornado DDT to Roode, but gets taken out. Jackie accidentally spits beer in Storms face and Ales roll sup Storm for the win!
Winners: The Motor City Machineguns @ 3:45 via pin
-After the match Beer Money Inc. handcuffs the Guns and then they whip them! They strap the officials and then security. The Guns have some blood from the back, that has to suck. They whip West and then toss Dave Penzer in the ring! They whip him! Cornette is out now to stop this and threatens to fire them. Cornette is NOT happy, and says if they want to be cowboys he will find two mean and nasty guys to fight them later tonight.
-Kurt Angle blind date #2 is up next. They are on a lunch date, and Angle say she loves to manhandle guys. he is going through a divorce with his bitch of a wife, and the chick has chest hair. He jokes it is dark in here and it's a tranny! IT'S A MAN BABY! Angle attacks her/him and says Ray will pay.
KNOCKOUTS BIMBO BRAWL: Roxxi vs. Moose
Moose attacks with a hockey stick in an ode to Randle and Roxxi gets back into the ring. Russian Leg Sweep with the stick by Moose gets a cover for 2. Roxxi tossed back to the floor, and then whipped to the railing. Moose gets some weapons and slams Roxxi to the steps. She then fucks up a charge with the grocery cart and Roxxi slams her to the floor. Roxxi whips Moose INTO the cart, ala Rhino. She then kicks the cart and tosses a street sign into the ring as we get a SHE'S HARDCORE SHANT. Cookie sheet shots by Moose, like 10 straight shots connect and then tosses Roxxi into the ring. Roxxi lays the boots to Moose, grabs the sign and LEVELS Moose! Hockey stick shots by Roxxi, grabs a chair and tosses it to Roxxi, she misses it and Roxxi kicks her in the face. Chair shot to the back and a cover for 2. Roxxi wedges the chair in the corner and whips Moose, she stops and Roxxi spears the chair. Moose with the double arm DDT into the street sign and that is all. Roxxi is busted open from that.
Winner: Moose @ 4:15 via pin
-In Cornette's office and he is with Nash. Cornette needs as ass kicker, and he thought of Nash. Storm and Roode need to be put in their place and Cornette offers money. Nash says he will help him, but Cornette will owe him big time. Nash asks who his partner is and Cornette says Joe. Nash laughs, and asks if Joe knows about this. Cornette say not yet and good luck telling him. Nash has no problems, it is an opportunity.
-Back from commercial and Cornette is talking with Joe. He says Joe is the man and since he has a problem, he knows Joe can help. They need to be put in their place, and Cornette asks if Joe can put them in their place. Joe says whatever you need. Joe asks who his partner is and Cornette asks him to sit. Joe know sit is Nash. Joe says he is done with him, he doesn't trust him and doesn't need him. Cornette says Nash has done well for Joe, and Joe says he wants NOTHING to do with him. Joe asks how Nash has been good for him and Cornette says it is harder to keep the than win it. Cornette says Joe has to do this, and Joe says what ever happens tonight is on Cornette's hands.
-We get a history video for Joe and Nash.
-Kurt Angle blind date #3 is a dinner date. He puts himself over, and the chick gets up to leave. She's a normal looking chick. She comes back, Angle talks more and she gets up and leaves again. A half an hour later Angle talks more, he kicks a priest's ass and she leaves again. Later he talks about his balls being grabbed, and she leaves. Kurt thinks she is bulimic. He asks her about the food and then asks if she is sick or anything. Kurt calls her bulimic and she says she has a spastic colon. Angle makes fun of her, calling her Miss Poopy Pants and she bails. Kill me now. Angle is pissed at Ray for this.
World X-Cup Match: Rey Bucanero vs. Alex Kozlov w/Daivari
They go right into LUCHA mode, which is fun and then a tilt a whirl back breaker by Bucanero. Arm drags and a dropkick sends Kozlov to the floor. KURT ANGLE IS MAD!
Kurt says Ray made his love life out to be a joke. He isn't laughing and calls out Ray for an ass whooping. Team 3D comes to the ring. Ray says they are friends and should go to the back and discuss this. They discuss the match they set up and says the fans get to decide the match. Ray then says Cage won't even make the PPV after what they did to him last week. They have the odds in their favor, and now they should go to the back and settle things. Angle refuses and says he was made out to be a horse's ass. Ray never said he was a joke, he is a LEGIT wrestler, a gold medallist. 3D thinks that he is THE MAN. They would never make a joke about him. Ray talks about his black book, but when he went home…he lost it. He lost the book so he did what he thought was the right thing, he used Devon's black book. Ray says he picked up a girl last night so hot, she's an eleven. He saved her for Kurt, and he calls her out. Stripper music plays and what appears to be a stripper walks out. She's no eleven, but I'd hit it. Ray says she is hot, and fresh for him. The hottest rat on the block. Angle checks her out and asks if she wants to ride the Olympic freight train, woo woo! He asks what she can offer for him, and she says she is loving, likes to have fun and she is loyal. Kurt says NONE of you are loyal. You are all liars and cheaters and full of shit. Just like Karen. He knows she would cheat on him and she says screw you. Angle apologizes, and says he would never touch a woman, but he knows people that would. The Beautiful People now come to the ring, they toss her down and brownbag her. Karen rushes out to the ring and attacks Love! She shoves Sky down and then stands off with Kurt. She slaps the pills out of his mouth but Love and Sky are back in. Kurt takes off his belt as the heels surround Karen, but Gail Kim, ODB, Rhino and AJ Styles make the save.

He hopes Nash and Joe work out their issue, because Joe will need to.
-More Matt Morgan Rough Cuts. He discusses meeting Cornette and loving being paid to learn to wrestle. This was a career high. Cornette discusses what he saw in Morgan. Morgan says being called up to Smackdown was way too early. His first match was a 6-man and he got to work Kurt Angle. Remember to send your thoughts on the show for the 4R's!
After 2-3 weeks of good shows. This show was kinda flat.
Awful Kurt Angle segments and the World X Cup was very disappointing this week.
Hope they do better next week.

The show would have been decent if they gave the matches more time and took out those stupid ass unfunny skits.
Posted By: The Drunken Race Fan (Guest) on July 03, 2008 at 11:22 PM
Too much talk. I only catch TNA once in a while but they just kept up the boring segments and interviews.
the wrestling was great tho which made the talk segments even more agonizing. When im saying the jokes like 5 minutes before theyre said on TV isint that supposed to be bad?
Posted By: Macbeth (Guest) on July 03, 2008 at 11:23 PM
For those of you that didn't notice, Awesome Kong TNA's formerly unbeatable monster, suffered her 1st pinfall loss in what was barely a 4-minute match
Posted By: John (Guest) on July 03, 2008 at 11:26 PM
The Knockouts stole the show again.
Posted By: Jackson (Guest) on July 03, 2008 at 11:26 PM
did the challengers to the world tag team titles actually lose twice in the same show? Booker T kills again with the robes and crystal. I was psyched to see Milano wrestle, but he just looked flat, maybe jet lag or something. He usually has some of the craziest innovative offense on the planet, but he just looked like he was wrestling in mud.
Posted By: Kip (Guest) on July 03, 2008 at 11:43 PM
Why did Robert Roode and James Storm fight twice? And if Taylor couldn't get a title shot by beating Awesome Kong, why should she get one by beating someone worse than Awesome Kong?
Posted By: shawty hi (Guest) on July 03, 2008 at 11:46 PM
Gail Kim pinned Kong at Final Resolution, and Kong didnt fight on this show O_O she managed. Anyways, I enjoyed the show this week albeit Beer Money jobbing to two teams, one of which had no purpose in beating them. I love Taylor and think she's doing great in TNA.

"For those of you that didn't notice, Awesome Kong TNA's formerly unbeatable monster, suffered her 1st pinfall loss in what was barely a 4-minute match"
Posted By: John (Guest) on July 03, 2008 at 11:26 PM
That wasn't Awesome Kong, that was her manager Raisha Saeed. Unless you don't have eyes, there's a HUGE difference.
Posted By: SS87 (Guest) on July 03, 2008 at 11:54 PM
This show sucked. Samoan Toad sucks.
Posted By: Angry Bear (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 12:22 AM
EPIC FAIL¬!
Posted By: Jack (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 12:29 AM
since this whole world x cup. Started great but went dooown.
Posted By: Guest#3373 (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 12:36 AM
When is Doug Williams going to wrestle?
Posted By: BringTheNoise (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 04:22 AM
Oh my God do you people have any opinions for yourselves. Ever since the 4Rs complained about the amount of time on an Impact episode everyone's been copying him. No one does it for the WWE.
Nonetheless this week fell flat which isnt good because RAW had some people excited. Step it up TNA you need to do better at least put on better PPVs then WWE so you can have that under your belt
Posted By: Kavlin (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 07:46 AM
THAT'S how you book Sting
Posted By: poffo316 (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 08:55 AM
wow. ROXXI was her sexy self again.
Posted By: tully (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 09:36 AM
People do it because TNA says we are wrestling. The WWE never says that they say we are entertainment. Larry says it himself the reason I discuss it about TNA each week is because THEY claim that they are an alternative to the WWE product, which is entertainment based.
On this week's episode it was bad just bad. The whole X cup had been getting time and good matches but this week they limited them to like 5-6 minutes. Then poor Koslov got dropped on his neck. The whole Karen and Kurt thing needs to bes topped please stop it. Then you have the the challengers for the tag titles get beaten twice in the same night. Way to build up the challengers. The matches were woefully short this week. Which if you are going to do you're going to need a great main event. Unfortunately it wasn't. You notice they have been keeping Kevin nash's matches short.
Posted By: Kyle (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 10:18 AM
Way to push Booker vs. Joe - have Joe and Nash continue building their feud.
Posted By: JAK (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 10:36 AM
has roxxi even won 1 match since she got her head shaved? way to use that to help build her up.lol
Posted By: fred (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 11:07 AM
I'm a fan of TNA. I'm always on here defending them when i feel they get unfair share of heat. But i was going to go into full on flame mode last night and completely trash the show last night. But now that I've calmed down a bit, the only thing I have to say that can sum up last night's show was that it was TACKY.
-The Kurt Angle blind dateskits were tacky
-Those stupid superstar videos during the entrances were tacky (you don't have to do it for everyone)
-Moose's entrance theme is tacky
-Beer-Money??? tacky (and their entrance theme tacky)
-Booker T's pimp my dressing room...TACKY
Everything else was ok, but i wish the World X-Cup matches got more time.
Posted By: bighustle (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 11:28 AM
P.S.
-LAX promo= tacky
-Whoever that chick was that Team 3D brought to the ring...she was hot, but her performance= tacky "screw you"
smh. if my brother-in-law wasn't watching so intently and getting a good chuckle out of it, i woulda changed the channel. But on the bright side, i guess it entertained some people.
Posted By: bighustle (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 11:35 AM
Rey's Wheelbarrow Driver is called the Bucanero Storm and the senton is called the Castigo Bucanero, which means the Pirate Punishment.
Posted By: Dead Beat (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 01:43 PM
TNA hasn't said "We are wrestling" in like a year.
As for the show this weeks show was bad the Angle blind date shit was unnecessary and stupid. It wasn't funny it wasn't cute it was just plain stupid. As for the wrestling itself, it wasn't bad just short. Really, really short this week. I did like Roxxi versus Moose but Round 2 of the World X Cup was weak. It was fun and quick pace but came only had about 5 minutes totaled with BOTH matches not the way to run a tournament.
TNA you need to step up to the plate, you can be the perfect mix of ROH and WWE. By that I mean you have the bigger guys like WWE and the smaller guys like ROH and the potential to be the best because of it. If someone like the more dramatic type of matches like WWE you can pull it off on the same night you can have stiff, crazy move 30-40 minute techincal masterpeice. Quit trying to be TNA comedy hour because you have so much potential its unreal. I understand TNA needs to be more mainstream but don't make a fool of your wrestlers. And Kurt Angle can be a draw, you don't have to have him waste every fucking minute of the show on stupid shit. Give us the bad ass wrestling machine Angle if anything.
Posted By: Kalvin (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 02:42 PM
I swear the IWC doesn't know what they are talking about when it comes to appealing to the masses. My roommate rarely watches wrestling, but he watched Impact with me. He found the Kurt Angle segments to be the most entertaining part of the show. I thought they were pretty good too. He also really like the James Storm character and the Bimbo Street Fight. The only terrible thing about the show was the fact the the #1 contenders for the TTT lost twice in the same night. The X-division matches were ok, but they could have been better.
Posted By: Bunkhouse Buck (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 04:58 PM
There were so many things wrong with this show:
-Could they have at least TRIED to make it look like LAX were actually in Houston, Texas?
-TNA needs to either up their production or stop doing segments like Angle's dates. All the upclose shots and dim lighting made them look really low rent and bushleague.
-Within five minutes, Tenay and West ran the "Beer Money Inc. name into the ground. Mike, you don't need to explain what it means!
-No, TNA doesn't have divas, they just have bimbos! Because when you think "bimbo" you totally think talented athlete, right?
-So WWE brought Morgan up to be a monster, but he was green. Then, they bring him back and give him a stuttering gimmick. Wait, why are we talking about WWE on fucking TNA show?! What has TNA done with Matt Morgan except give Jim Cornette a public forum to shove him down our throats verbally? He's had like a handful of televised matches and he's been with the company for a year!
-So Karen Angle can take out both the Beautiful People now? Smart booking there. Have the talentless chick who is only on tv because she's married to Kurt attack the two heels in your women's division.
-Every segment featuring Kurt Angle sucked. Point blank.
Everything else was fine, but the bad outweighs the good. TNA needs to step their damn game up!
Posted By: Guest#4075 (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 07:38 PM
too much talkin man, tna needs to stick to what they crush the wwe in and that's good wrestling, the entertainment side is wwe's strong point not tna's. Hated to see beer comp. inc. go down twice in one night but hopefully they'll give em a victory before victory road. It also simply amazes me not that i see people complain about beer comps. loses when they are contenders but when Mr MITB Cm punk gets jobbed out more than the brooklyn brawler and goes to win a championship, but not many people care about the loses, most just mention how great the moment was. Also, I think it's very unfair that tna should get critized EVERY wk. on their match TIME. While world wrestling entertaiment is entertainment, lets not forget that it is also WRESTLING. So, while the entertainment is wwe's thing, they should also be critized because they are a WRESTLING promotion. Now if wwe was to put on a gr8 wrestling show, which they could, i would hear no one say well lets see how much time they spent on the entertainment side of things since they promote entertaiment, it would just be a good show from people's point of view. Back to tna, i would agree that they just shoot themselves in the foot sometimes with all the extra stuff when they just need to keep it simple.

"Everything else was fine, but the bad outweighs the good. TNA needs to step their damn game up!"
Posted By: Guest#4075 (Guest) on July 04, 2008 at 07:38 PM
man, no one wanted to say the bad outweighed the good for raw for nothing which it did, with that being said the bad did outweigh the good for tna too this week

Davairi/Kozlov are Sheik/Volkoff 2.0 without the heat!
Ack Ptooey!
Posted By: FUZEY (Guest) on July 05, 2008 at 01:09 AM
there are some wrestling shows that just dare you to watch them, and this was one of them. i dunno, after hearing about how the last few weeks were good shows, i tried this one.
i will give next week a chance, hopefully that one will be watchable.
and do all the kurt angle segements stop at nothing and stay there? he used to be really great at promos. maybe it's the (lack of)creative.
Posted By: Darth Mortis (Registered) on July 05, 2008 at 01:41 AM
I think everyone is missing the big issue here...Chris Benoit's name was mentioned on a wrestling telecast! (during the Matt Morgan video) Afterwards, I checked outside and guess what? Buildings were still standing, the skys weren't raining frogs and I didn't start mouthing satanic tongues! Now if we could all just convince WWE that the guy existed...
Posted By: Joe K. (Guest) on July 06, 2008 at 12:31 AM
Kalvin makes some good points. TNA has a lot of potential but they are blowing it. We need more wrestling and less skits. Kurt Angle needs to be the intense heel, not a comedian. Guest#4075 also makes some good points. If TNA wants to compete with the WWE they need to do better than this.

Haha...I just noticed that when you mentioned it. Now Lethal got some quality opponents.
