411’s WWE Smackdown Report 7.25.08
Posted by Larry Csonka on 07.25.2008
I hope Krystal II was a great one night stand, because it may be Edge’s last.
WWE Smackdown: 7.25.08
-We get a video package of the Wedding of the Century, and the unfortunate ending due to that dastardly HHH!
-JR and Mick Foley welcome us to the show. Foley is back to the flannel look as they break down the wedding disaster from last week.
~THE V.I.P. LOUNGE~
MVP is in the ring, big things poppin, little things stoppin. You know the drill, it is for people like him, people better than us. He has a luxurious hair-do, I know I'm jealous. His guest tonight is arguably the most controversial one he has ever had, his name causes men and women to scream like kids. He is a 4-time IC Champion and a 7-time tag team champion, the charismatic enigma, Jeff Hardy.
Jeff makes his way to the ring and enters the lounge. MVP welcomes him to Smackdown and the VIP Lounge, welcome to the big leagues. Tonight they will be in the big battle royal against Kennedy, Umaga, Khali, Big Show and others for a shot at the WWE Title at Summerslam. Unfortunately MVP is in it and he is the odds on favorite. Jeff laughs at this and says MVP hasn't won a match in ages. MVP is OFFENDED and says this is a huge year for Jeff, he is on the cover of the WWE Magazine and in the VIP Lounge. MVP shows off the magazine and says that Jeff isn't known for winning the title, he is known for being a risk taker. The risks have been a success for him, but some have caused failure. Jeff says he paid for his crimes with his suspension and he has been honest about it. MVP then says he lost the IC Title and his house burnt down, well, his trailer. His artwork, studio and everything was gone. Jeff said it was horrible, and when it happens to you…what are you trying to do he asks MVP. MVP says Jeff is emotional, an artist. He knows Jeff has issues, issues of guilt, and responsibility for the loss of his dog. Jack, Jack the dog. MVP says it is his fault. Jeff calls MVP a jerk. MVP says Jeff is guilty of being irresponsible, and he has ruined his career with his behavior. He calls Jeff reckless and is throwing his career down the drain and he will never be WWE champion. Jeff had said that he will never be suspended again, and Jeff says he would be released. MVP says Jeff doesn't care about his career or the people. He'll have no one to blame but himself, and that he is a man and needs to accept responsibility for his actions. Jeff says he is thankful and that MVP knows all about second chances. Jeff says MVP is right though, and that it does burn him up inside. Jeff tosses down MVP, who goes to the floor. Jeff then says that MVP makes him sick as they stare down, as the crowd chants for Jeff.
-Vickie Guerrero is scheduled to arrive.
-Shelton Benjamin is out and says last Sunday at the Great American Bash he did what he said he would do, and that is hit the mother load as he liberated the US Title from Matt Hardy. He is THE gold standard in the WWE and also the US…THE NEW US CHAMPION! Like he has said time and time again, there ain't no stoppin me NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. Please stop yelling the catch phrase dude.
Lock up and a slam by Benjamin. A go behind, and another toss by Benjamin. Off the ropes and an uppercut connects and a cover for 2. Knee to the back of the head by Benjamin, into the neck crank. To the corner and rights by Benjamin connect. Yang manages an Enziguri, forearms and off the ropes with a tilt a whirl head scissors. Rights by Yang, to the corner and Benjamin stops a monkey flip, slams Yang to the corner and as Yang goes up he gets pulled off. They both miss kicks, and then Benjamin gets pay dirt for the win.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin @ 2:05 via pin
It was what it was, short and just a time for Shelton to shine as the US Champion. It was fine.
RATING: *
-Edge is backstage and THOSE EDGE GUYS arrive. He wanted to see them and says they did well winning the titles. Edge then says he is sorry for last week, and they say it is his business. They have a match and will catch him later. Edge got completely blown off by the EDGE GUYS…awesome.
Curt Hawkins w/Zack Ryder vs. Festus w/Jesse
Festus begins to kick ass at the bell. An Irish whip, misses a corner charge and Hawkins with rights. A boot by Festus, leg kicks by Hawkins. Festus tosses him down, Hawkins fails at a snap mare and gets slammed down. Rights and lefts by Festus, a whip and a corner ass charge. Shoulder block and Hawkins to the mat. Jesse fights off Ryder, who wanted to ring the bell. Festus then gets the flapjack on Hawkins and that is all.
Winner: Festus @ 2:00 via pin
All right, you really can't accomplish that much in two-minutes. It was what it was, and the after match and result sets up an eventual tag title match but some wrestling would be appreciated.
RATING: ¾*
-After the match Festus eats the double implant DDT.
-We get a video about Jenny McCarthy, and Generation Rescue.
-JR discusses the Bash and hypes WWE.com.
-Edge is in the back and talking with Krystal II. He says she has to blend in better. They will talk later at the hotel and solve everything. Bam Neeley watches on as they speak. BUSTED.
Vladimir Kozlov vs. Stevie Richards
Stevie challenged Kozlov for the match. Kozlov now has music, complete with some dude speaking Russian during it.
Richards avoids a charge, tries a roll up, fails and as he comes off the ropes gets a clothesline to take Kozlov down. Leg kicks by Richards, caught and then he takes an overhead belly-to-belly toss. Big boot by Kozlov and now a front facelock into a throw and then grabs the arm bar. Richards fights and gets to his feet, but is then slammed down. Chops by Kozlov, Richards kicks him away and then avoids the charge and Kozlov to the floor. Back in, kicks by Richards and then a dropkick and a cover for 1. Stevie-T try, countered by Kozlov, tries a tornado DDT but is tossed off, and Kozlov gets a head butt to a charging Richards for the win.
Winner: Vladimir Kozlov @ 3:10 via pin
Kozlov continues to roll along and to dominate. Stevie got a bit in and tried, which got the crowd involved a bit, but he was just another victim. The action was fine, if unspectacular.
RATING: *
-After the match, Kozlov goes to the announce table, jabbers in Russian and leaves.
-We get another video of last week's wedding disaster.
Summer Block Party Battle Royal to Crown a #1 Contender for the WWE Title at Summerslam: Jeff Hardy vs. Ken Kennedy vs. MVP vs. The Big Show vs. The Great Khali w/Runjin Singh vs. Umaga
MVP bails as Kennedy stupidly goes after Khali. Jeff tries to help as Umaga and Show battle in a corner. MVP continues to stay away from Jeff, who then dropkicks Khali. He and Kennedy try to toss him and fail. Off the ropes and Khali clothesline both Jeff and Kennedy. JUDO CHOP to MVP. Show side slams Umaga, and now Khali head butts Show. Umaga then takes them both down and stands tall as we head to a commercial @ 2:00.
Back from commercial @ 5:00 as Jeff gets the whisper in the wind on Umaga. Kennedy and Show brawl, MVP sneak attacks Jeff and beats him down. Umaga and Khali pair off as Show chokes out Kennedy. MVP tries to toss Jeff, but he stops that and lays the boots to MVP. Jeff now tries to toss him, but he fails as well. Show now attacks Umaga and then Khali. Jeff then eliminates MVP, who can't buy a win these days. Umaga tosses Jeff, but he skins the cat and stays in. Show and Umaga stare down in the middle of the ring, trade shots and then Show eliminates Umaga with a clothesline. Jeff and Kennedy double team Show, but he fights them off. Cobra Clutch spin slam by Show to Jeff. Kennedy with rights to Show, GOOZLE by Show and he just shoves Kennedy to the floor. Show and Khali BATTLE now, Khali in control as Jeff takes a nap in the corner. Show gets a chokeslam on Khali, but Umaga comes back in and gets the SAMOAN SPIKE on Show. Jeff flies in and gets a RANA on Show, which sends him over the top and to the floor. Jeff up top and gets the SWANTON to Khali! Jeff lays the boots to Khali, but he battles back and gets the cranium crunch. Low Blow by Khali…JUDO CHOP! Khali then tosses Jeff and HE is your #1 contender.
Winner: The Great Khali @ 10:30
It was your basic battle royal, nothing wrong with it, but nothing great. They tried to tell a good story with Jeff with the VIP Lounge, elimination of MVP and then got your hopes up when he got Show out to get into the final two.
RATING: **
-The Great Khali will now face HHH for the WWE Title at Summerslam. I would say NO BUYZ, but the first Khali vs. Cena match did pretty well numbers wise on PPV.
-HHH is now out to look at Khali, because he apparently has never seen him before. They do the in ring stare down, chin to nose and Singh backs off Khali and they leave to get some takeout.
-We get a video package for Ron Killings, showing where he grew up and what he had to battle through, his mistakes and what he had to do to eventually be a success. He will be going by "R-TRUTH." Very similar to the video package that TNA did for him, so it looks like he will basically be the same guy when he arrives.
Lock up and Maryse tosses down McCool. McCool then tosses her down, and covers for 2. Maryse backs off, they battle in the corner and then off the ropes with a dropkick for McCool. Maryse then pulls her to the floor, slams her to the apron, rolls her in and covers for 1. A whip by Maryse, rights in the corner and then knees to the back. Short armed clothesline by Maryse, mounted rights as well. To the corner McCool misses a moonsault, lands on her feet and then gets the heel hook for the win.
Winner: Michelle McCool @ 2:05 via Submission
Maryse is gorgeous, but damn she is shitty as a wrestler. Not as bad as some weeks, but this wasn't pretty. Smartly kept short and McCool continues to use the heel hook, which has been built pretty well.
RATING: ½*
-Raw Rebound time.
-JR and Foley hype Summerslam and the BLOCKBUSTER bout signed tonight for the WWE Title.
-Vickie arrives as Chavo wheels her in. Bam is there and asks if Chavo told Vickie about Edge and Krystal II from earlier tonight.
-Maria comes to Smackdown next week.
-Edge is backstage and Bam tells him that Vickie is here. Edge says he needs to apologize in public, and Bam says he will let her know.
-Kendrick is channeling an odd, but so far fun combination of Brian Pillman and his Leonardo Spanky character. He gets some mic time and says that we are privileged because we are seeing the best, well-trained and intelligent wrestler in all of WWE. Brag to your friends and you will be able to tell your kids and grandkids that we saw him. He went and found the biggest and baddest brother around Ezekiel. If you try to touch greatness, you'll have to take it up with ZEKE!
Shannon Moore vs. THE Brian Kendrick w/Ezekiel
They circle, lock up and to the corner they go. Forearm shots by Kendrick, a whip and a knee to the back of Moore. Kendrick lays the boots to Moore and covers for 2. Knee strikes by Kendrick, a slam and to the 2nd rope he goes…MISSES a knee drop. Moore with an atomic drop, leg drop and then goes to the apron. Kendrick stops that, pulls him in and hits sliced bread #2, now called "THE KENDRICK" for the win.
Winner: THE Brian Kendrick @ 2:01 via pin
The short matches are pissing me off this week, but I do like that Kendrick got promo time, because he'll need it. Fine for what little time they got, but I think Kendrick needs something new for a finish. "THE KENDRICK" isn't dickish enough.
RATING: *
-Chavo and Vickie talk, and Bam tells her Edge is here and that he wants to meet in the ring and apologize or her to apologize, he is confused. Vickie isn't happy.
MAIN EVENT INTERVIEW: VICKIE AND EDGE REUNITED?
Edge makes his way to the ring. He is here to apologize to his baby, his wife, Victoria. He wanted to do this in public and face to face with her.
Chavo and Bam wheel out Vickie to meet with Edge. She bravely makes it out of the wheelchair and enters the ring. She's a brave soul indeed. Chavo and Bam exit the ring and leave them alone, well alone in front of 10,000 people. Edge takes a knee and asks Vickie to hear him out. He knows he messed up, and that it was horrible. He understands what he did, and if she can't forgive him he understands. What the video didn't show was how many times he tried to say no, which was zero. Krystal II was very aggressive and wouldn't take no for an answer. NO MEANS NO but she wouldn't listen to him. Why didn't he leave? He wanted to iron out the plans to make sure that their day went perfect, because it was important to them. Nothing means more to him than her love, and he won't live without her love.
Vickie says she understands and smiles at him. They hug and the world is right! IF THESE KIDS CAN MAKE IT ANYONE CAN! Edge looks like he got away with it, but Vickie says hell hath no fury over a woman scorned. When she was really mad at him, she did something he may not like. Edge says it is ok and he understands. He asks what she did, and Vickie tells him that she reinstated THE UNDERTAKER! HUGE POP and Edge about shits himself. Edge says ok, Vickie is a businesswoman and that the move was good business. They can now go on their honeymoon and Taker and HHH can kill each other, they will return, he will pick the bones and he will then win the title back. Vickie says it sounds great, but she already made a match for Taker at Summerslam; Edge. Edge shits his pants again, composes himself and says Vickie doesn't mean it. She says she does, BABY, and it will be a HELL IN A CELL…BWAHAHAHAHAHA! EVIL CACKLE FOR THE WIN!
The final segment was awesome. Both Vickie and Edge have been two of the brightest stars this year and that segment further exemplified it.
And I'm happy they're doing something with Kendrick. I've always preferred him over London, I mean how could you not love a guy who used to be named Spanky.

The great khali as the #1 contender? I never use this term but that is an EPIC F'N FAIL!!!
Posted By: Really? (Guest) on July 25, 2008 at 10:10 PM
"Edge just got F'd in the A."
Ha ha, yes he did. Dead Man returning, going to be awesome.
Posted By: William (Guest) on July 25, 2008 at 10:11 PM
Closing Segment:
Edge was GOLD as always, he's off to Hollywood before too much longer. Vickie was also tremendous! Awesome timing, very well done.
Opening Segment:
LMAO at MVP! Every word he said was so true, what an epic put-down! Too bad Hardy is such a retard on the mic, what a wasted promo, no heat at all but plenty of laughs!
Edge vs. MVP FTW!

Triple H=I Need a Maternity Leave
Posted By: Guest#9165 (Guest) on July 25, 2008 at 10:27 PM
Triple HHH will be taking time off soon so I think Khali beats Triple HHH, UT beats Edge and we get Khali vs. Undertaker at Unforgiven. Khali retains there and then we get some sort of stipulation at No Mercy or maybe they extend it to Cyber Sunday for the gimmick match.
Posted By: kjdoolz (Guest) on July 25, 2008 at 10:36 PM
Here we go again mvp and hardy feud wow. Well undertaker comes back and wins hell in the cell then goes after triple h then a hell turn buy the dead man that would be sweet
Posted By: Guest#2644 (Guest) on July 25, 2008 at 10:36 PM
Nice to see someone on this website agreeing with my comment in 4r's this week that Kendrick needs a more dickish finisher than "The Kendrick". Dickish name, but still a bit too much flash without enough impact for a heel, personally, i think that double knee drop from the 2nd rope which missed early in the match could be built into a credible dick finisher.
Posted By: Duncan (Registered) on July 25, 2008 at 10:37 PM
Khali winning just KILLED the crowd; I mean you could almost feel the wave of disappointment wash over them.
Seriously-what the hell are they thinking? Kennedy, Umaga, Hardy, MVP, all stars just waiting to break that damn glass ceiling...and they pick KHALI?? Really? To main event the second biggest PPV of the year?? Is there even a shadow of a thought that he'll beat Triple H?
Posted By: Chay (Guest) on July 25, 2008 at 10:38 PM
"Well, Edge just got F'd in the A."
HAHAHAHA. The calmness of that statement made me fall out of my chair.
Posted By: Rofflecopter (Guest) on July 25, 2008 at 10:40 PM
Does anybody think Vladimir Kozlov should be in line for a us title shot? he needs a real good match not a jobber match like steven richards.
Posted By: Guest#0050 (Guest) on July 25, 2008 at 10:49 PM
Did MVP shoot on Jeff Hardy? Regardless, every word was true and I hope Hardy took it to heart
Posted By: natedoggcata (Guest) on July 25, 2008 at 10:55 PM
Yay Khali Yay!!!
Posted By: Jeff Small (Registered) on July 25, 2008 at 11:00 PM
i cant believe this, smackdown is really in the crapper, they only have one match go longer than a couple of minutes, they give good wrestlers like yang and benjamin no time to work. Oh yeah and they make kali, the single worst wrestler since giant gonzales the number 1 contender. come on look at the other guys in that match, jeff hardy, kenedy, mvp all talented wrestlers who have solid heat. even big show and umaga can pull their own weight occasionaly. All I can say is if the wwe puts the title on kali again, they are retarded. that would be an failure of epic proportions, something they haven't done since they game yokozuna the title twice, including a 8 or nine month reign. I'm sorry, but how about you guys actually put the belt on actual wrestlers not sacks of garbage. Kali should never have been allowed to set foot in a wwe ring let alone win a world championship.

I agree! I don't necessarily hate the match it's just that it belongs on a B-show ppv not one of the big four.
Although, I don't think this match is set in stone by any means. I think we could see Jeff Hardy come out next week and challenge Khali for his SummerSlam spot. With the outcome being either an upset win with Hardy taking Khali's spot or we get one of those double pin scenarios and the match is made a triple threat.

"The final segment was awesome. Both Vickie and Edge have been two of the brightest stars this year and that segment further exemplified it."
Above is the stupidest statement I've read at 411.. Vicki = uuughhh. I'll admit this last segment of hers MIGHT have potential. The wwe world will easily spin without her.
Posted By: Shane (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 01:02 AM
i think undertaker or someone is gonna destroy khali before summerslam and get the title shot, i don't think even the wwe is that stupid...
Posted By: dan (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 03:10 AM
Did anyone else think that HHH's nose is about as big as Khali's chin?
Posted By: SirCrudNoodles (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 03:18 AM
To the Shane asshole, how is that a stupid statement, unless you just started watching Smackdown tonight, you should have noticed that Vickie and Edge have been both playing their characters really well with the correct conviction and timing. And Vickie Guererro has attracted the the most amount of heat than anyone else in the WWE. Maybe you didn't catch Judgment Day, when Vickie was nearly booed out of the fucking building for announcing the title was still vacant. Getting that type of heel heat is nearly impossible these days.
Posted By: Guest#5879 (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 03:19 AM
I don't agree with you Shane... Here's my point... Both Edge and Vickie were given a not promising character in the beginning, but it has progressed magnificently and logically till now. It, along with the whole Michaels-Jericho thing, is one of the few angles WWE have taken patiently months and months to build and I can say now it has delivered. Edge heel heat is off the charts at this point in time, and you get that old school feeling with him of seeing the heel get totally beat up by the betrayed and out-numbered face, in this case, Taker. You don't get that nice feeling anymore... It is hard to come by with kayfabe as dead as it is.
The whole angle and that segment was great. It paid off to a lenghty storyline and it advanced the feud in a logical way. Words that I would never think I would say or write, but the whole Edge-Vickie thing is a major success in wrestling storyline terms.

Oy...
Great Khali beating Jeff is just terrible...Simply terrible...
Posted By: The Peter. (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 03:23 AM
well the end of a era has began in wwe. please tell me somebody takes the title shot away from khali. i mean they could have picked kennedy or hardy or mvp to face triple h and people would pay to see that match.
especially if it was jeff hardy and triple h.
but khali? has vince lost it?
Posted By: johnny (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 03:34 AM
Kennedy has proven unreliable and is nowhere near credible right now, MVP has done nothing for ages, Umaga keeps losing his momentum, and Hardy/Triple H has already been done several times (not to mention the fact that management still doesn't completely trust Jeff yet).
At least Khali, while far from being much good in the ring, has proven himself to be a professional and is always over. Plus, he's a former World champion so that immediately gives the match more gravitas when combined with Triple H's possible impending paternity leave.
The only reservation I have is that Triple H isn't going to get as good a match out of Khali as Cena did. Cena had to get owned and then fight back as the underdog for it to mean anything, whereas you know Triple H will probably dominate the match even if Khali does end up taking the title at the end of it.
Posted By: T.G. Corke (Registered) on July 26, 2008 at 04:22 AM
Dan the WWE IS that stupid and even more.....
SummerSlam is shaping up to be not only the WORST PPV of this year but also the WORST SUMMERSLAM IN HISTORY .
The only match worth it will be Edge vs Taker HIAC .
But anyone knows than Taker will get the last laugh and own Edge .
I hope it will be with a second tombstone on a chair .
BTW HHH vs TAKER HAS to happen now .
That's the best match they can offer on the SD ! side of thing and it would rock BIG TIME .
If the WWE was really SMART they would offer us this double main event for the next mania In Houston Texas
Cena (c) vs Batista
HHH (c) vs Undertaker
On another note it seems Trips is back on his 2002-2004 mode aka the "burial" mode one
Posted By: Mr Freeze (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 04:41 AM
I'm fine with Khali in the title match, because Edge vs. Taker will be the true SD main event anyway. As long as RAW's title match has some star power, it won't matter.
Posted By: KM (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 04:54 AM
Trips needs to pin Khali to feed his ego. Who cares about a good match? HHH has to get a pinfall on everyone at least once. And I guess I'm the only one who is sick of The GrandpaTaker?
Posted By: Jay-Rodd (Registered) on July 26, 2008 at 08:43 AM
#1-MVP is still BALLIN'! Go home, jeff. Oh sorry, that's right, you can't. (ouch)
#2-LOOK! THERE'S STEVIE! YAY STEVIE! Oooo, there goes Stevie.
#3-Bring on Show-Youmanga! (buffet match)
#4-HHH goes one on one with the GREAT one! (hey, you can't say that, man)
#5-I dig Heel Spanky. Watch him go. Brian Pillman approves.
#6-Y'know, maybe if Shelton does the bit from Super Troopers(Ain't no stoppin me MAOW), that might work.
#7-Bout time somebody figured out Festus' bell issues. It's only a Three Stooges joke, for Rock's sake.
#8-Nice Battle Royal. Jeff taking out Show was unexpected & believable. I really dig Kennedy (Kennedy), but he hugs the dog upside down in the ring. Maybe he should talk more trash or sumpin.
#9-Everybody's turning on Edge. This could be really cool if they do it right. Loose cannon Edge would kick ass.
#10-When Vickie screamed, I got Stephanie flashbacks. Wonder who came up with this???
(Bonus)-HHH "Hey Vince, how about I go out & bury a good storyline by smirking at it, making lame jokes, and taking the title? I could see it." My God, the guy is Hogan, Vince, and George Bush all in one.
Really good show, better than usual.

"If the WWE was really SMART they would offer us this double main event for the next mania In Houston Texas
Cena (c) vs Batista
HHH (c) vs Undertaker"
Let's see: Undertaker beat HHH at WMX7 in Houston. Like I would to see the exact same match 8 years later with the wrestlers being 8 years older. No thanks.
Posted By: Crap (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 12:14 PM
If the Great Khali wins the title at Summerslam I will SCREAM!!!
Posted By: Tom (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 12:25 PM
Yep. Longer matches would be much appreciated.
SS doesn't shape up to be the worst in history. MVP vs Jeff can pull off a great rivalry just like they did with Matt. Jeff is a more entertaining wrestler so he should be able to get the best out of MVP.
They should do the Punjabi right away so the match would'nt look too bad.
I get a better feeling with the Smackdown roster for some reason. They have to build the feuds correctly in order to smack Raw.
I thought 'Taker would go to Raw. Maybe there's too many faces on Raw. I'd like to see a Taker vs Orton feud with Orton coming out on top as The Legend Killer. They didn't do it the last time they faced each other but Orton didn't have much credibility then.
The entire roster is pretty healthy (which rarely haapens) except for Orton and maybe Michaels. WWE really has to take advantage of that and put out good shows.
Posted By: Steven (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 12:53 PM
im gonna say that bam and chavo turn on edge and vickie as well and have the new ministrey ha ha ha or zack and curt turn on edge because the way he been treating them just a guest
Posted By: Guest#7791 (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 03:21 PM
Yokozuna a "sack of crap"? That's one of the most agile big guys that the industry will ever see you're talking about
Posted By: Guest#0728 (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 03:37 PM
Actually I have to defend the policy NOT to put Jeff in the WWE title match. Jeff's an addict, where or not he is a recovered addict or still an addict is not known and won't be for some time. Jeff got busted twice in what, two years? He was released in 2003 for refusing rehab. In my opinion the guy would be a disaster if he went to SummerSlam, won the title and got busted for drugs and fired right afterward. Not good publicity for a company pushing for a more kid friendly audience.. how do you explain THAT to the Jeff Hardy marks under 10?
SummerSlam looks like SummerSuck. Hardy-Henry, UT/Edge part 747198 where the outcome can be seen by a blind man, HHH-Khali and probably Punk-Kane.. oh dear god. Paging Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho, another PPV needs saving!

about 19-20 minutes of wrestling
pick it up SmackDOwn
Posted By: Kalvin (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 07:41 PM
I loved MVP lounge tonight. Give this guy something to do he's good in the ring and on the mic.
btw, when are we gonna see an MVP vs Kennedy I would love to see that over MVP vs Jeff
In terms of the battle royal if this doesn't increase international buyrates then it was a waste. Speaking of international buyrates, did Judgment Day and ONS07 buyrates increase internationally because Khali was in the ME or title match because that's the excuse everyone keeps using.
Nonetheless the short matches hurt the show
Posted By: Colin (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 07:54 PM
Black scorpion, all Edge and Taker matches were good-great so even if HBK and Y2J has a blow off match it wont save the ppv.
I'm interested in the CM Punk feud(s) and would be interested in any opponent he faces because it would be a fresh match and feud
Posted By: Dab (Guest) on July 26, 2008 at 09:02 PM
At least when HHH pins the Great Shitty, people won't endlessly whine that he's "burying others".
