411's WWE Raw Report 9.01.08
Posted by Daniel Wilcox on 09.01.2008

In memory of Walter Kowalski.

Jerry ‘The King' Lawler and Michael Cole are your hosts as usual.

Randy Orton is here to kick off the show! He's still sporting a sling. He says he is still injured but there is something he wants to get off of his chest. A brand is only as strong as its champions. Raw is now an absolute joke. Beth Phoenix runs around like a lovesick teenager. He says she is embarrassing herself, and the crowd pop big for that. Santino is the weakest Intercontinental Champion in WWE history. Orton could beat Santino even with his broken clavicle. He calls Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase worthless as opposed to Priceless. If a couple of thugs took his title he'd track them down and beat ‘em. But the real problem is the man disgracing the World Heavyweight Championship, CM Punk. He takes offence to the way Punk won the title and he would love to challenge Punk to a match tonight and take back what is his, but he isn't medically cleared. But when he is, and it won't be long, he will reclaim this show and make everyone forget about the sorry, history of Raw known as CM Punk. Speaking of which, CM Punk is out now. They go nose-to-nose and talk trash. Punk says he has a headache from listening to Orton. Punk prefers not to live in the past. Not everyone has daddy and granddaddy behind them to usher them in, and some people have to work hard to get to the top. It doesn't matter how he won, the fact is, he is the champion. Punk mocks Orton's motorcycle accident. He says Orton went from The Age of Orton to a complete afterthought. Punk says Orton is jealous, and Orton calls him pathetic. Punk says this is as close as Orton will get to the World Championship. Punk says there's only one person in this ring who's pathetic and it's not him. Orton says the conversation will have to continue at a later time. He backs out of the ring and heads up the ramp. Punk says he wants him to know he'll do everything in his power to hold on to the title so when Orton comes back he will see what Punk is all about….

JBL is out now. He says Punk does not get it. Fairy tales are not real and in six days, the clock will strike midnight, Cinderella and in 6 days, the title reign is over. There's an 80% chance he'll lose the title. A true champion will walk out of Unforgiven known as JBL. Kane is out now. Kane says he has been to Hell and he didn't see JBL's clothesline. But Rey Mysterio was there. He won't be at Unforgiven and he won't be here tonight because he made sure of it. That means he is one step closer…

Batista is here. He does not look like a happy camper. He snatches the mic… SPEAR on Kane! SPEAR to JBL! Stares down Punk… SPEAR to Punk! Told you he wasn't happy.

Charlie Haas gets the biggest pop of his life as he comes out to John Cena's music, dressed as John Cena. He says the Haas is here and you can't see him.

Kofi Kingston vs. John Cenaas

Kofi counters a hip toss into a monkey flip early and beats Haas in the corner, but Charlie comes out with a right hand. He does the "you can't see me" bit but gets kicked in the head. Clotheslines and a dropkick by Kofi, flying forearm and a rebound crossbody. The Thunder Clap leg drop follows, but Kofi then runs into boot. FU attempt, countered into an O' Conner roll. Haas rolls through that and they fall into the ropes. Both men up and Kofi connects with Trouble in Paradise for 3!

Winner: Kofi Kingston

"Rock Out" by Motorhead is the official Unforgiven theme song. The new album is awesome.

In the back, Simply Priceless don't take too kindly to Randy Orton's words. Orton slaps Cody like a bitch. He tells them to grow a sack because they're the most talented in the lockerroom.

Mike Adamle welcomes Tiffany and Teddy Long to Raw tonight. They make small talk until Kane shows up all angry. He wants to know what the deal is with Mike announcing Rey will return. Adamle says he announced Rey because he wanted to send out a message to Rey. He wants him to accept the invitation. Kane says his body has been massacred and his soul extinguished, but by all means, keep hoping.

ECW Championship Scramble Battle Royal Preview: Mark Henry vs. Matt Hardy vs. The Miz vs. Finlay vs. Chavo Guerrero

It's a Battle Royal, so there's only so much play-by-play I can blag here. They all target Henry early ‘cause he's a big ass motherfucker. But he shoves them all away and knocks them all down. Hardy fairs better against him and he and Miz hit double DDT on him. Miz takes down Matt after. Finlay slams Chavo onto Henry. Miz and Hardy try to suplex each other over. Finlay hits Chavo with the Finlay Roll. Hardy drills Miz with the Side Effect. Chavo tries to trick Miz and toss him, but Henry tosses them both. Splash to Finlay. Big boot to Hardy. Hardy avoids a charge and backs Henry up in the corner. The faces team up to try and toss Henry, but he holds on. Henry scoops Finlay up and dumps him. Hardy on the attack, to the middle rope and hits an elbow. Twist of Fate countered, Henry picks him up and dumps him out.

Winner: Mark Henry

Earlier tonight, Chris Jericho looked through a contract!

Jamie Noble has brought Layla out to show her what he can do.

Jamie Noble w/ Layla vs. William Regal

Regal backs Noble into the corner and batters him, then hits the Regal Plex. Knee to the face by Regal a forearm and now a full nelson. They exchange roll ups but Regal decks Noble with a forearm. Regal hits another Regal Plex and Noble is dead. Noble catches him a small package though and that gets the win.

Winner: Jamie Noble

Layla is kind of impressed, and looks kind of impressive.

In the back, Mickie James and Kelly Kelly do some stretching. Yes they do. Mickie says they have a surprise in store.

Jillian wants to perform for us. Who'd have thought you could make a Nelly song sound worse than normal? Beth Phoenix says she is the most talented Diva to ever step foot in this ring. The returning Candice Michelle returns with her God awful music.

Kelly Kelly, Mickie James and Candice Michelle vs. Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall and Katie Lea Burchill

Kelly and Katie start and work some basic stuff. Kelly gets her little backflip in and a dropkick. Mickie in off the tag and hits the top rope Thesz Press. Low dropkick by Mickie gets 2. Hall in now and pummels Mickie, but James fights out of the corner but the Mickiecanrana is blocked from the outside. Beth in and gets 2 off a suplex. The heels work her over in the corner and Katie comes back in with a kick. She chokes her on the middle rope. Hall misses a charge and Katie gets clotheslined. Neckbreaker for Hall. Beth stops a tag, but then doesn't. Candice in with forearms. She blocks a hip toss and botches a head scissors. Candice hits a version of the Edge-O-Matic, nice. Candice goes up top. The heels try and push her off but Mickie and Kelly take them out. Crossbody by Candice, but Beth rolls through. Candice slips out of her clutches and gets a roll up for 3.

Winners: Kelly Kelly, Mickie James and Candice Michelle

We get highlights of the last few weeks of the Michaels/Jericho feud.

Santino Marella calls Randy Orton a sonumagun. He will be the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all times. Santino debuts the Honk-A-Meter. Honky Tonky Man was champion for a record 2 weeks. Santino has been champ 2 weeks. In 62 weeks, he will be the greatest champion of all time.

Santino Marella vs. D'Lo Brown

Santino drives D'Lo back into the corner with thrusts but gets slapped. He then runs right into a leg lariat. Corner clothesline by Santino for 2.D'Lo ducks a clothesline and avoids a dropkick. Shining Wizard by D'Lo now. He goes up top but misses the Frog Splash, and Santino covers for the win!

Winner: D'Lo Brown

WWE 24/7 – Stone Cold stunned Mr. McMahon for the first time in 1997.

The Miz and John Morrison vs. Cryme Tyme

Cryme Tyme come out wearing tag team gold. Miz and Morrison block them off on the ramp and drill them. Morrison mocked Cryme Tyme's dancing, glorious! Rhodes and DiBiase attack from behind. They lay out Shad with the tag title belt. In the ring, Cody hits a DDT to JTG on to the tag title.

Winner: N/A

In the back, Rhodes and DiBiase walk into Randy Orton and show off their belts. Orton approves.

The St. Louis Rams are in the front row.

Josh Matthews, Mr. Kennedy and Mickie James encourage people to SmackDown their vote.

Todd Grisham asks Batista about Rey Mysterio. Batista says he will destroy everyone.

Randy Orton is out to watch the following match from ringside. For some reason, Punk enters third.

Raw Championship Scramble, Battle Royal Preview: CM Punk vs. Kane vs. Batista vs. JBL

Batista and Kane pair off, and JBL and Punk likewise. Batista takes out both heels with a double shoulder tackle. Spinebuster to Kane! Clothesline in the corner to both JBL and Punk. JBL goes for the Clothesline from Hell but gets Speared. Punk walks into a spinebuster. Bomb attempt, but Kane boots Batista, and Punk clotheslines him out. JBL hits a big boot on both Punk and JBL, but then gets back dropped to the floor by Punk. Kicks by Punk to the thighs, forearms now but Kane gets an uppercut and now pummels Punk in the corner. Running clothesline in the corner connects. Punk tries to dump Punk but he holds on, battles back and fights out. He walks into a big boot though. Sidewalk slam now by Kane. Punk avoids a charge and hits the running knee in the corner… three times. Kane blocks the bulldog and hits another big boot. Kane runs into an elbow… G2S attempt, Kane elbows out and tosses Punk to the apron. Pnuk springboards into a goozle and gets tossed.

Winner: Kane

Punk lands at Orton's feet, and Orton applauds. Punk gets in his face and throws his water in his face.

Rey Mysterio's music hits… and he is here! Rey baseball slides under a boot and hits a dropkick. Chop block. Rey on the attack in the mount position. Low dropkick… 619 attempt but Kane rolls to the floor. Dropkick through the ropes by Kane. Rana attempt blocked, but Kane gets sent into the ring post. Rey to the apron… 619 around the ring post! Kane goozles him though but Rey blocks, hits a rana off the guardrail sending Kane into the front row!

Contract Signing: Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho

Jerry Lawlee is overseeing the proceedings. Two lawyers are in the ring. Chris Jericho is out first, appropriately dressed. Lawler says Mike Adamle asked him to moderate this signing. WWE will be absolved of any legal ramifications. Shawn Michaels is here now, dropping the straw hat for a nice black one. Jericho is seated and avoiding eye contact. Michaels takes a seat now. Lawler says Adamle has said if there is any physicality between them tonight, the match at Unforgiven will be called off. Jericho signs. Michaels signs. Lawler thanks them both. Jericho says enough. He asks why all the security? Shawn says it's not his security and if he had it his way it'd just be the two of them. Jericho dismisses the security. Jericho says he followed Shawn's advice. At Summerslam, Shawn told him to sit his kids down and told them that he would never be like him. Jericho told them he would never be like Shawn Michaels, a lying egomaniac. Jericho told his famly not to watch Unforgiven because of what he is capable of. Jericho won't go easy on him because of what happened to Rebecca. He will end his career for good this time and show everyone what happens to a man who lives his life like Shawn does. Just like Michaels put Flair out of his misery at WrestleMania, Chris will put Shawn out of his at Unforgiven. The only difference is, Jericho isn't sorry, on the contray, he is proud of it. He will finish him off for good. Jericho says Shawn asked for this match so when he his sat at home, the only person to blame is himself.

Michaels takes comfort in the fact that Chris' family won't be watching. Neither will his. But someday he will tell them about this, about the day when their father was this close to walk away. Sometimes you've got to look evil right in the face and spit in its eye. All the pain and sufferring that he has put Shawn through will rain down on him at Unforgiven with no remorse. He will never apologize for the man that I am or the life he has lived. He will have no regrets about what happens. Unforgiven, it's an appropriate name. He will never forgive Jericho for what he has done. He hopes someday God will forgive him for what he will do to Jericho.

They stand up. Shawn takes his jacket off. Lance Cade is here but Michaels blocks him off and takes him out. Jericho leaves up the ramp.

I was at this show when it was taped.

Let me tell you they edited that ladies match quite a bit. Candace looked real sloppy. It was ugly.

After the cameras were off Lance Cade was punted 3 times before Shawn left the area.

Raw is Orton, yay!

Posted By: Brad (Guest)  on September 01, 2008 at 11:13 PM

1. Jericho is GOD. killer promo once again, HBK not too bad either.
2. Santino will be IC champ for a long, long time!!!
3. Nice to see Morrison and the Miz on Raw, bring them back for more!
4. Orton's shoot on Punk was so true, I was ROTFLMAO, take the belt off this chump already.
5. Now that Lil' Ray Ray is back, put him in a mid-card program with the dethroned Punk, best thing that could happen.... maybe bring back 1-2-3 Kid & put him in the mix lol.

the sad part about the whole thing is it didn't even have to be physical at all. With all the psychology going back and forth a middle of the ring staredown which faded to black would have been more effective than lance cade running in. and i guess he torn the muscle falling out of the ring? cause I saw nothing else.

Posted By: faceman802 (Guest)  on September 01, 2008 at 11:14 PM

Is it just me or did it look like HBK fell square on his head at the end? The sound cut out for a few seconds, maybe Cole or Lawler said something about it?

Not the best raw in history, but a really fun night.

the Honk-o-Meter, this is going to be funny.

Rey came back pretty much Rust free.

The only thing I didn't like was Candice's ring entrance, I perfer the dramatic long robes.

Posted By: Davis (Guest)  on September 01, 2008 at 11:18 PM

Yes, let's have Rey come out unharmed, no physical evidence of any harm, looking in the best shape he's ever been.

Let's make it look like Kane is a total bitch because he can't put down a 5'4 170 pound mexican.

This storyline is headed for...

EPIC FAIL.

Hell must have a killer gym, 'cause Rey Rey looks fit as hell.

I like my Candice with long hair thank you.

re:Let's make it look like Kane is a total bitch because he can't put down a 5'4 170 pound mexican.

Let's be honest here, the last character kane "put down" was Katie Vick. it may have been the last time he was relevant too, sadly enough

This was a pretty good Raw without Cena. I thought without Cena it was going to be boring and they proved me wrong. Raw needs to use Orton like they did this week, he was interesting.

I was dissapointed that Kane lied about Rey, but Rey's comeback was explosive and the St. Louis crowd was pretty good tonight.

What was funny about Raw 2 nite was the fact that it was taped last night and it had an overrun like it was live when the last two weeks stopped right at 11pm.

TNA's game looks sick and its surprised me alot with that great story mode. TNA comes out next Tuesday and Smackdown vs Raw on November 11.

Candice was almost crying after her match. She had a bad night, she knew it, and she seemed to be crushed over it.

Posted By: Guest#0995 (Guest)  on September 01, 2008 at 11:30 PM

I think it would be a good idea if Kane does something to Rey on Sunday or Next Monday so that s/l can get interesting.

Cryme Time's segment was way over with the crowd. WWE might have something special here.

I think they should use Cena like they did with Austin's neck back in 1997.

Best raw in years. Mark Henry stole the show once again. I dont know why they just dont let him close every show. I could see people leaving the arena after Henry was finished.

Oh great. Another internet colloquialism that is going to be OVER-used for the next 6 months. Is everything that someone dislikes going to be called an "Epic Fail?" Get a life, kids. Don't watch RAW if you're too damn deep for it.

ULTRA EPIC WIN

CM Punk is anyhting but a chump although the WWE is booking him like a chump
Orton is pretty good but if the wwe would just let Punk be the Punk he ws on the indys no body would be able to touch him

RAW was good, the matches were short but the show was fun, everything clicked and moved along nicely.Orton/Punk at WM ftw,Rey got back in shape and Haas was great, only thing is my boy Cena to return and RAW is all good.

Although using Cena like Austin in 97 would be great imo.

Wow the Kane/Rey was crap. Was to take what might have been intriguing and just throw it away.

Kanw was full of crap, Rey is back. Woo. What a ~SwWERVE!!1!!!

Jericho's promo was awesome! He just seemed so matter-of-fact and assholish.

Actually I'm pretty sure people were leaving the arena BECAUSE of the Mark Henry match -rimshot-

HBK gets injured.. damn, I thought something happened when he looked like he fell on his head. Damnit! I guess HBK will have to wait to get his revenge. And for all the people happy about HBK being hurt I got two woooords for ya: Drop Dead!

Honk-O-Meter is PRICELESS. I take it they'll run that for about 60 or so weeks and then the week before he breaks the title run, he loses.. knowing WWE, probably TO the Honky Tonk Man but who knows. They despise HTM so maybe they'll let Santino overcome the record.. or maybe somebody else?

Batista on the WWE mag, dominating everything, being in the main events = piss break time.

Nice to know Rey suffered such a terrible, excruciatingly horrid injury he came back looking exactly the same. Candice looks cool with the new shorter hair and the leather thing going, I like. Kelly, Candice, and Katie Lea in the ring at the same time is what you call epic HOTNESS.

Too bad they keep making CM Punk the official bitch of RAW. If they really want to bury him so bad, make him lose the only fall of the match in the first minute.. oh wait, don't give WWE ideas -facepalm-

Next move Haas should do is Parody the ROCK. The Titantron will get a huge pop, and once Haas shows up in the Rock's gear He'll be booed more than any heel on the roster.

That face plant that Micheals did when he was trying to get to Jericho ..looked painful...very painful!

my 16 year old neighbor could destroy rey, putting him in there with kane is silly.
The cm punk experiment is a failure, just move on wwe.

more randy orton!!!

I agree with Ray Bronson, Mark Henry was the highlight of tonights raw. Wish they would just give him more tv time.

Posted By: Vandy (Guest)  on September 02, 2008 at 12:39 AM

"If they really want to bury him so bad, make him lose the only fall of the match in the first minute.. oh wait, don't give WWE ideas -facepalm-"

He's going to win the match. You know that, right? Everybody doubts Punk, and then he wins clean.

It would be an upset if anyone else won the Raw Scramble match.

I was at the arena for the Double tapings as well. Michaels injury bump looked sick. Too bad it didn't really come off right on TV. Wait until Smackdown, the way the crowd was booing Vickie with every breath she took will go down in wrestling lore. They might cut it down for TV, but she literally spent 10 to 15 minutes trying to get a single thought out and we woudln't let her. It was awesome.

I read plenty of perfectly Idiotic comments from a lot of the other site regulars, I have the right to express opinions for gimmicks I want to see as much as any other fan.

and quit being annoyed that I'm a younger person who got into Pro-wrestling. Raws ratings have slowly been declining for almost a decade. the public interest in Wrestling is dying, and I got to say the unwelcoming atmosphere from Smarks is probably a part of it.

Oh and you left your coloring book in my treehouse.

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm ready for Orton to come back. His presence was quite refreshing to me, and as soon as he's cleared, I wanna see what he'll do w/ Simply Priceless, if he'll do anything with them. The confrontation was bittersweet b/w Orton and Rhodes, as he now has pimp slapped the father and son. I still didn't approve of that when it happened. I like Dusty Rhodes. Oh well. Maybe this lit a hotter fire under the asses of Simply Priceless. We'll have to wait and see.

Damn, Davis just bitched you out.

Punk was great in ROH.He has limitless potential.Sadly, they are not allowing him to be himself and it's hurting him a bit.

The creative team should be required to sit down and watch 8 to 10 hours of his amaziing work in ROH before they move forward after the PPV.

"Kane says he has been to Hell and he didn't see JBL's clothesline."

Silly Kane, if you read JBL's correspondence with the greatest insider of all time, Canadian Bacon, you would know that his clothesline is NOT there, because that's where JBL found it and TOOK it with him (he got there by accident while taking a detour and left pretty quickly).

Oh no, Oh no, Oh no... OH NO YOU DIDN'T!

If the match is unsanctioned, why would you need to sign a contract?

1. hey 411..."Santino covers for the win! Winner: D'Lo Brown" huh?
2. santino's honk-a-meter...brilliant.
3. am i the only one who saw shawn michaels nearly break his neck when he fell out of the ring after being attacked by lance cade? i was convinced the guy wasn't getting up, ever.
4. i cannot wait 'til orton comes back and reclaims the belt. his promo was awesome.

It's a shame how they've reduced the IC title to being a gimmick now. I like Santino's bits and all, but he should be seriously doing a talk show instead of holding to a championship with a great lineage.

All of these fans praising Orton's return will get bored with him within two weeks. The only way he can remain interesting is if they do team him up with Dibiase-Rhodes. However since that's too good of an idea the WWE will screw it up.

I like Davis' idea of having Haas parody superstars. I know i'd mark out if I heard the Rock's music only to see Haas come out, then i'd be PISSED!

Highlights - It's the first time I've heard Orton on the mic when he didn't sound like a robot, and I thought he did a good job, hopefully on his return his ring skills will have shown a similar improvement, or otherwise I'll start to be bored by him again.
The Honk o Meter a work of absolute genius.
The kids getting faked out by John Cena's music. The look on their faces was hilarious.

Low Lights
Candice Michelle the world's most akward wrestler coming back to an insant mega push. And since they seem intent on pushing the even less talented Generic Blond Kelly Kelly, it looks like Mickie James will once again become an after thought.

No Paul Burchill yet again, what an absolute waste of talent and Katie Lea made to look like rubbish once again and with no entrance. Why does the WWE insist on pushing Candice and Kelly Kelly when they were the two worst wrestler by miles in the diva match and the two least attractive too.

Kennedy at the Republican convention. Once again his stupid facial gestures made him look like an idiot.

If they can't find anything better for Layla to do, then send her over to my place.

The longest and most famous IC title reign belonged to the man Santino referenced last night. Did HTM make the IC title a joke? No, like I said, it was the most famous IC title reign ever, and he was a total chickenshit.

"If the match is unsanctioned, why would you need to sign a contract?"

It was done for both men to agree to the condition that WWE, kayfabe-wise, has no responsibility for what happens, only Jericho and Michaels do.

I was watching this raw, and during a commercial I saw the three brands doing this stupid scramble match thing at the unforgiven ppv. I know this has nothing to do with Raw but Wouldn't it be cool if they made this scramble match be something like when WCW held the war games ppv with 3 rings, for wwe they could have all 3 brands in a seperate ring, and all superstars in at once. Let the timer start and people jump to different rings trying to cover at the end of the match, whoever is champion brings that belt to their respective show.

"Next move Haas should do is Parody the ROCK. The Titantron will get a huge pop, and once Haas shows up in the Rock's gear He'll be booed more than any heel on the roster."

IF YA SMEELLLLLLL...
(crowd goes apeshit)
Charlie Haas comes out.

People would be jumping the railing if that happened. They'd better step up security if they try it.

Davis, way to stand up for yourself. You may be a young and new fan, but you tend to make thoughtful comments. Your grammar is pretty good too, which puts you about three notches up from 90% of the IWC.

Regarding the tumble that HBK took out of the ring, I can see why people think he landed on his head. However, he used his arms to keep that from happening. That is how he did damage to his left arm. Thankfully, the latest news seems to be that it is a minor injury.

I am wondering if the Kane/Rey storyline happened the way it did because of the talk that Rey might not re-sign. I am interested to see if creative is capable of pulling some sense out of the storyline.

While unsure about the impersonation gimmick, I am almost of the mind that Haas ought to impersonate legends as opposed to current wrestlers. We shall see.

I am almost sad that Candice Michelle is back. Mickie is a much better worker. And, in my opinion, much hotter than Candice.

I was at this show when it was taped.

Let me tell you they edited that ladies match quite a bit. Candace looked real sloppy. It was ugly.

After the cameras were off Lance Cade was punted 3 times before Shawn left the area.

To you Orton, supporters..shut up...

You're the same people that will praise his appearance now, and then say he's boring in 3 weeks...

You are the same people that wanted Punk to be World Champ and spoke of how great he is and then when he was given the belt, you called him CM Chump...

You're the same people that cheered Cena like CRAZY when Cena was over as the tweener "rapper", but now chant "you can't wrestle" because it makes you seem cool to do so....

You're the same people that jocked Mic Foley on announcing and gave his final segment with Edge great reviews, but when he didn't resign his contract, you said that he "doesn't have it anymore"...

You're the same people that jump at an opportunity to brag on a talent that you think no one has ever seen..but when that talent makes it into the "main stream", you start to find chinks in their armor to be the "first" to point out why he sucks....

You're the same people that said that Mark Henry being the ECW champ was a horrible idea, but now every week after ECW, comes into the comment sections and type "Henry=ratings"..

You're the same people that said that Mike Adamle being GM was a HORRIBLE idea, but are now quite with no opinion about it what so ever...

You're the same people that said that MVP was a joke and wouldn't make it (even when I and some others said that he was going to be GREAT), but then said "he has greatly improved", when actually, he didn't improve THAT much at all...he just got more time on the mic to make you bangwagoners think that he was cool (see Cena a few years ago)......

I'm saying this to say that the bandwagon nature of the IWC fan is why the WWE doesn't really care about any of your opinions. One day you're for an idea or a talent and then the next, when its cool to be against them, you're against them... I wouldn't care about you guys either..especially if I knew that you were going to watch anyway lol..... get a back bone people...

Industry...that was the single most brilliant and accurate comment that has been posted on this site since the comments sections were initiated.

and Davis...well said, young man.
