Ladies and gentlemen, the universe may explode: The Miz and John Morrison were forced to do battle! Is this the end of the Dirt Sheet?


ECW on SCI-FI 9.23.08!

-Bauer came down with the bird flu or some shit, which means that you got me. Well, so much for the night off.

-Matt Striker and Jim Ross welcome us to the show this week.

~MIZ and MORRISON SPEAK~
John Morrison and the Miz make their way to the ring and they are NOT happy. Miz tells the crowd to grow up and then says they have something to clear up. A lot of people have talked about how Evan Bourne defeated him last week. Technically he did win, but if you watch the match you saw him dominate, he was superior to Bourne. Ricky Ortiz cost Miz the match, and we all know it. We get footage from last week. Morrison says the nappy hair is disgusting, and he looks like a poodle. Morrison says they could discuss hair forever, but they are two of the top stars today and together they are the best in the world. They should be main eventing PPV's and not babysitting kids that have no clue how to make it. Miz says someone should know better, someone with 20-years experience, a man that should showcase them in title matches. Instead they are fighting the superstar initiative. Morrison then proclaims that Long couldn't hang at the Palace of Wisdom.

Teddy Long makes his way out and says to slow your role. He says that Bourne did beat Miz, and Long says that the new superstar initiative is working and they will have a big future in the business. Morrison then BERRIES Braden Walker, tremendous. Long says the new stars will continue to come from ECW, and if they have a problem they can get out of his ring. Miz and Morrison say that they will battle Bourne and Ortiz tonight, and Long says they know that Bourne isn't here tonight. Morrison says Bourne can't hang with the big boys and Miz says this is the WWE…

And Ricky Ortiz interrupts him. Ortiz wants to fight and will fight either one of them. Miz and Morrison say they will take on anyone and can beat anyone. Teddy Long then says they both can't be right, and wonders what would happen if they faced each other, so Teddy makes that match for the main event. Miz and Morrison do NOT approve! And the winner will face Ortiz right after!



-We get a video package of Kane destroying Evan Bourne and Rey Mysterio on Raw.

-Teddy and Ortiz talk, and Tiffany is here. She says Ricky is ready, and Ricky pulls out the RICKY O RALLY TOWEL~! Tiffany likes it.

Bam Neeley vs. Finlay w/Hornswoggle

Lock up, go behind and clubbing shots by Finlay. Uppercuts follow, and then a short-armed clothesline for 2. To the corner and shoulder blocks by Finlay, snap mare and the seated senton gets 2. Finlay slams Bam off of the apron, elbows to the throat and then as Hornswoggle comes out the schoolyard trip Bam. Back in the ring and a clothesline by Finlay get a cover for 2. To the corner and a clothesline by Bam, a big boot follows and Finlay to the floor. Bam slams Finlay on the floor, and then kicks Finlay to the steps. Back in the ring we go and Bam covers for 2. Off the ropes and a spinning neck breaker by Finlay, that gets 2. Finlay to the second rope, leaps in, but Bam catches him and gets a Boston Crab. Hornswoggle has the SHACKALACKI, Bam goes after him, Finlay grabs it, lays out Bam and that is all.

Winner: Finlay @ 4:25 via pin

Not bad, Bam didn't look as bad as usual. I do hate that Finlay used the SHACKALACKI to win mainly because he should be beating a guy like Bam clean.

-Finlay and Hornswoggle dance with some kids after the match.


-Next week ECW starts to air at 9pm.

Non-Title Match: Michelle McCool © vs. Maryse

Maryse tosses her jacket at McCool, and they brawl to begin the match. Spear by McCool, the ref pulls her off of Maryse and then McCool with rights and then a big boot. Maryse to the floor, McCool misses a baseball slide dropkick and Maryse beats her down on the floor. Back in the ring and Maryse slams McCool down to the mat. Maryse lays the boots to McCool, roll up into the Camel Clutch and McCool struggles to escape. She gets to her feet, back elbows by McCool but Maryse takes her down. To the corner and a dropkick by McCool, a clothesline follows, another dropkick and the front flip neck breaker by McCool gets 2. Uppercuts by McCool, to the corner they go, a reversal and then a back elbow by McCool. To the 2nd rope, Maryse tosses her off and goes for the DDT and PLANTS McCool! 1…2…3.

Winner: Maryse @ 4:00 via pin

Not quite as good as their Smackdown match from Friday, and a bit repetitive, but not bad.

JR and Striker hype the WWE No Mercy PPV:

-WWE Title Match: HHH © vs. Jeff Hardy
-World Heavyweight Title Ladder Match: Chris Jericho © vs. Shawn Michaels

-Mark Henry and Tony Atlas are out. Henry says he was not pinned in the scramble match where Hardy won the title. Henry says Matt never pinned him because he cannot pin him. In 2-weeks at No Mercy he will leave Hardy's body a batter carcass in the middle of the ring, and then he will know that he isn't a champion. Henry says he is truly a champion, the world's strongest champion.


Mike Knox vs. Chase Stevens

Stevens is back again this week, he slightly changed his hair and it will look good when he loses. Stevens with some kicks, rights but Knox just kicks him down. Corner splash to Stevens, a slam and the knee drop follows. Rights by Knox, who looks more and more like Grizzly Adams each week. The KNOX OUT finishes it.

Winner: Mike Knox @ 1:30 via pin


-After the match the All-American American Jack Swagger makes his way to the ring and gets the DOCTOR BOMB (SHADES OF DR. DEATH) on Stevens. Tommy Dreamer is out to make the save, and DOCTOR BOMB for him! Swagger is sporting an upgrade in his trunks, as they are blue and black now.


-We get the Smackdown rebound.

Winner Faces Ricky Ortiz: The Miz vs. John Morrison

Lock up to begin, to the corner they go and a clean break by the Miz. Lock up again, to the corner and this time Morrison breaks clean. Lock up, go behind by Miz and into the wristlock. Morrison transitions into a side headlock, off the ropes and a shoulder block by Morrison. Miz then gets a roll up for 2. Miz back to the arm, rights by Morrison, off the ropes and a sunset flip by Morrison gets 2. Miz with a roll up for 2, Morrison up and charges the Miz to the floor, and we'll head to a commercial @ 2:00.

We are back from commercial @ 5:30 as Miz works a headlock. Morrison works to his feet, rights by Morrison and he gets the ropes, steps through and then pulls Miz down and gets a nice kick to the head. Morrison rolls back in and covers for 2. Morrison lays the boots to Miz, and then applies the cravat. Miz with elbows to escape, gets the corner clothesline and then covers for 2. Miz with boots to Morrison, they trade rights and kicks. Miz then clamps on the chinlock and takes Morrison to the mat. Morrison makes it back to his feet, boot to Miz, he counters the moonlight drive, Morrison with a roll up, has the ropes but the ref catches him. Rights by Miz, off the ropes and Morrison with the back breaker and into the Russian leg sweep for 2. Miz battles back with a variation of the stroke, but misses the knee strike and Morrison gets a knee strike of his own and covers for 2. Stun gun by Miz, springboard leg drop by Miz gets 2. To the corner, Miz sets Morrison up top. He goes up as well, they trade rights and then I have no clue what happens as they about die falling off the top rope. That looked odd as hell. They are down and the ref counts 10, neither man can continue.

Winner: No Contest @ 11:00 via pin

A bit slow to begin but picked up nicely and they had a strong match. The end was fine in theory, but in my opinion ended up looking like a colossal mess up.
