-Live via tape delay from Manchester, England.
-We get a video package from last week's 800-hour long edition of Raw, featuring the World Title win of Christopher Jericho, Esquire.
~Batista does not approve…~
Batista makes his way to the ring, and he has something to discuss. I don't think its politics. He won't whine and cry about last week, he is here to use his rematch clause and win back his title.
Stephanie McMahon is here live via satellite, and says no dice on the rematch clause. Shane made it clear that the winner of the cage match would defend against Cena at the Survivor Series. And Jericho will face Cena at that show, but out of respect Batista cannot have a title match before then. She then says there will be a new era on Raw with Adamle gone. She wants to wipe the slate clean. They want to end some feuds here tonight. Kane will meet Rey in a NO DQ match, and for the last time Chris Jericho faces HBK in a last man standing match. She thanks us all, and then thanks Batista for being so understanding.
Randall K. Orton, Tattoo Artist comes to the ring now. Orton says that when it comes to a title shot, Batista will have to wait in line. John Cena gets his chance at Survivor Series, but then it is his turn because he is better than Batista and was always better than Batista. He even got kicked out of Evolution because he was better, and Batista couldn't beat him then or now. That is why he deserves the title shot. Batista, obviously not approving of this says that history is written by winners, and if you look at their history, he has been better in every way, shape and form. Better when they were with Evolution and better now. Batista says they should go ahead and move on, so tonight, Orton vs. Batista to settle it! Orton thinks it over, and agrees to this. But just so Batista knows, when he wins the title, he will be a champion longer than 8-days. Batista tosses the mic to Orton, looks for the Batista bomb, but Orton escapes.
-Santino Marella comes to the ring and introduces the HONK-A-PERFECT-MOUNTIE-METER~! This is because he is so confident that he will be the IC Champion of the Earth! The combined title runs of the three men were 123-weeks! He has been the champion for 13-weeks. According to his calculations, that is just 2-years and 4-months and he will break that record and will be one step closer tonight to his goal. He then mocks Regal and states that Italy is the best.
-Regal and the fine as hell Layla make their way to the ring.
Lock up, to the corner and rights and lefts from Regal. A whip, back elbow and then the Regal-plex! Charging knee to the head and Regal covers for the win!
Winner: NEW CHAMPION William Regal @ 0:30 via pin
-Cole heads into the ring and interviews Regal. Regal says that he will be proud to wear the title with the pride and dignity of an Englishman. He will also be proud to take the spirit of the UK fans all around the world. Regal is proud to be a loyal subject to her majesty the queen, but most of all, he is proud to be our Intercontinental Champion. He's so getting laid tonight.
-Kane is backstage and welcomes Stephanie and Shane back to Raw. Shane brings out his inner child, when he used to torture insects and birds. He will do the same to Rey tonight. He never liked being liked, not by anyone. After tonight, they will like him even less, and he will like himself even more.
Mike Knox's Beard vs. D'Lo Brown
Hey D'Lo still has a job, that's good to see. Mike Knox's Beard is officially a part of Raw now. He takes Brown to the corner, rights follow and he just beats Brown down. Knees follow, to the other corner and a knee by Brown. Mike Knox's Beard answers with a boot and then the KNOX OUT and that is all.
Winner: Mike Knox's Beard @ 1:00 via pin
-Cole and King hype WrestleMania 25. We get footage of the on sale bonanza.
-Santino talks on his phone as Beth finds him. She makes sure he is ok, and he calls his loss a tragedy. He called Shane and let him know what was on his mind. Shane is apparently taking it out on Beth Santino says, and Shane made a Women's Title match between Beth and Mickie James. Beth then breaks Santino's phone on the wall.
-We get a John Cena video package, focusing on his jump to Raw and his return at Survivor Series.
~JERICHO~
Jericho is out and mocks Cena's return. He then says Batista took out Cena, and he was able to beat Batista for the title to prove that HE is the best in the world today. And then there is HBK. He exposed HBK for everything he is, HBK got offended so he through him threw a TV monitor, punched his wife "accidentally," which HBK mocks to deal with the pain and then he destroyed him time and time again before he defeated him in a ladder match. And now we have tonight, the final chapter in the sad and pathetic story of HBK. Cena needs to pay attention because the same will happen to him. Jericho is the champion, at the top of his game and Cena is returning from injury. He will show us all that not every story has a happy ending.
-Rey walks.
NO DQ Match: Rey Mysterio vs. Kane
Rey uses his speed, goes to the floor and hides from Kane. He was under the ring and drop toeholds Kane into the steps. Cross body by Rey, caught and then Rey escapes and lays the boots to Kane. Moonsault off of the barricade by Rey and we'll head to a commercial @ 1:20.
We are back from commercial @ 5:00 with Kane in control of the match. Kane beats Rey down, boots to the head and then a whip to the corner and Rey drops to the mat. Rey manages a RANA, but Kane bails before Rey can get the 619. Kane stops a baseball slide and swings Rey like a bat into the barricade. Kane wraps the arm around the post and then tries to rip off Rey's arm. He then slams the arm off of the steps and tells Rey to quit. Back in the ring we go and Kane with more boots to Rey. Kane then slams the arm to the mat and then drops the knee and covers for 2. Rey tries to kick at Kane, fails and then gets the wheelbarrow bulldog out of nowhere. Leg kicks by Rey, off the ropes and eats the big boot. That only gets 2. Rey rips off a turnbuckle pad, another and then grabs Rey. Kane goes for the splash mountain into the corner, Rey escapes and then gets a RANA. Boot by Rey, eats a right and then Kane misses a boot and crotches himself on the top rope. Rey dropkicks Kane to the apron, charges, goozled but Rey counters the chokeslam with the stun gun off with the arm. A plancha by Rey is met with an uppercut from Kane, which had to suck. Kane peels away the padding on the floor, grabs Rey but he escapes and Rey then gets the DDT on the floor. Rey rolls Kane back into the ring and covers for 2. Enziguri by Rey, 619 connects. Slingshot splash and Kane gets the GOOZLE! Chokeslam escape, drop toehold by Rey and Kane hits the exposed buckle. Rey flies in for the seated senton, but that gets fucked up. He covers for the win anyway, so it worked out ok for Rey.
Winner: Rey Mysterio @ 13:00 via pin
-Orton prepares backstage when Simply Pussies minus Ted come into visit him. They say they won't let what Orton did to Ted slide. Orton calls DiBiase a weak link for losing the tag titles, screwed them in the IC Contender's Battle Royal and then messed up Orton's match. Orton simply did what they wouldn't do, and says that they aren't in his league. Cody slaps Orton, and Manu then steps in the middle to cool things down.
-Batista comes to the ring, and then Orton. It is then that Cody and Manu come to the ring and say that Orton cannot beat him or Batista. But Cody thinks that he can beat Batista. Batista laughs, and we have a NEW match.
Batista vs. Randy Orton Cody Rhodes
Lock up, to the corner they go and Cody kicks at the knee of Batista. Batista then begins to kick his ass, kick to the face and as he goes for the powerbomb, Cody escapes, works the knee and then gets the 2nd rope bulldog for 2. Orton watches on as Cody works a standing knee bar, Batista kicks off and gets a corner clothesline. Cody back to the knee and he then lays the boots to Batista. A cheap shot by Manu and Cody has control momentarily until he eats a bog boot. Clothesline by Batista, but Cody escapes the powerslam only to run into the spinebuster. Batista clotheslines Manu, DAVE BOMB to Cody and that is all.
Winner: Batista @ 3:00 via pin
-After the match Batista hooks up Manu with a king size spear. Orton and Batista stare down after the match, and then Orton bails.
Phoenix attacks at the bell and as she goes for slingshot suplex, James escapes and gets a roll up for 2. James escapes again, forearms to Phoenix and then the clothesline follows. Phoenix covers up for the basement dropkick, James waits and then connects with it anyway. James with rights, a whip and Phoenix reverses it and a left by James. Phoenix stops the RANA try, James up top and Santino pulls her off. James kicks him in the head, but Phoenix slams her head into the post and then covers for the win.
Winner: Beth Phoenix @ 3:00 via pin
-Santino gets in with her and they celebrate.
-We get a video package on the HBK vs. Jericho feud.
-Next Monday on Raw CM Punk will face Randy Orton.
Last Man Standing Match: Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho
And after a commercial we are back, the bell rings and here we go. HBK misses the superkick, but beats Jericho down a bit and gets a short count. HBK whipped to the corner, rebounds out and clotheslines Jericho. Chops by HBK, off the ropes and a flying forearm by HBK. Kip up, slam, up top and EATS KNEES on the elbow try! Jericho gets to his feet as the ref counts on HBK. Jericho then clothesline HBK to the floor, HBK back to the apron and ducks under the springboard dropkick attempt by Jericho. HBK then gets the slingshot cross body to the floor. HBK is up as the ref counts on Jericho. Jericho is up, HBK back to the floor and tackles Jericho from behind. Mounted rights and lefts follow, HBK calls Jericho on and misses a superkick, which allows Jericho to get the bulldog on the entrance ramp. HBK makes it to his feet, and then Jericho punches HBK in the previously injured eye. We head to a commercial @ 5:00.
We are back from the commercial @ 8:00 with Jericho and HBK on the stage, by a car. Jericho has slammed HBK into the car prior to coming back from the break. HBK then catapults Jericho into a mailbox. They beat the count, and HBK hip tosses Jericho onto the car. They brawl onto the car now, HBK tries a piledriver but Jericho scoops the legs and gets the walls of Jericho on the roof of the car. HBK screams in pain, Jericho releases the hold and rolls HBK off of the car. The ref counts again as Jericho poses on the car. HBK gets to his feet at 9, Jericho is pissed and as he dives off of the car HBK catches him with a right to the gut. HBK then tosses Jericho off of the stage, not far, and then follows him down. Jericho is slammed to the barricade, HBK takes control of the boom camera and uses it to clothesline Jericho! Tremendous. The ref counts again, Jericho to his feet and they now braw into the crowd and back to ringside. HBK gets a ladder but Jericho dropkicks it into his face. Jericho then slams it into his face and the ref counts. HBK to his feet, Jericho misses with the ladder and then HBK tosses it at Jericho. HBK now dismantles the announce table and then he goes back on the attack. HBK lays Jericho out on the table, sets up the ladder, climbs…elbow drop to Jericho! The ref counts yet again on both men, they make it to their feet and as JBL runs in, HBK avoids him. But Jericho levels HBK with the world title, and now the ref counts again. Gets to 7…8…9…and he is up. SUPERKICK to Jericho! But JBL WAFFLES HBK with a steel chair! Both men down, the ref counts… 5…6…7…8 Jericho is up…9…10!
Winner: Chris Jericho @ 19:00
-During the live show, JBL cut a promo and announced Team JBL vs. Team HBK in a Survivor Series Match for the PPV. If I had to guess, I would say JBL, Orton, Cody, DiBiase and Manu vs. HBK, Batista, CM Punk, Kofi Kingston and Rey.

Pathetic Show, I feel sorry for anyone who paid to see that.

Well that's 2 hours of my life I can't get back.

Everything tonight was just... lacking. Kane and Rey was just BAD.
Posted By: la comlo (Guest) on November 10, 2008 at 11:09 PM
just another so-so routine raw in my opinion. It just seems like there's no urgency to shake things up in wwe.
Posted By: cj (Guest) on November 10, 2008 at 11:09 PM
So uh, do you guys have social lives or do you just watch 2 hour shows only to bitch about them?

"The IC Title & Womens Title matches were less than a minute combined LOL."
Except that Mickie vs. Beth went 2 minutes, so there goes that theory.

Santino losing title = god awful episode of Raw. Too bad too as I'm sure most of the country didn't really care to watch the MNF game tonight either....although that is turning into a better game than this an episode of Raw.

Glad i missed Raw tonight and instead watched George Lopez

i am glad that regal won the ic belt but at least the match could've gone more than 30 secs.

Some people actually watch wrestling to see wrestling matches, not a cheap soap opera.
Terrible show.
Posted By: Lee (Guest) on November 10, 2008 at 11:27 PM
LMAO @ Mysterio botching the finish against Kane.
Posted By: zeek (Guest) on November 10, 2008 at 11:31 PM
Indeed, Guest#3130. The WWE is going to have to try harder if they want to impress you 40 year olds.
Posted By: Luthor (Guest) on November 10, 2008 at 11:33 PM
"Well you know, 14yr olds are easy to impress."
14-year-olds take the time to send in spoilers to wrestling websites? So that would make them smark marks, right?

Lee? You tuned in to Raw to watch wrestling? Thats like saying I tuned in to "Heroes" to get cooking tips... Love the WWE Universe or leave it, tardo

So to the person who said they want to see wrestling, a 20 minute main event Last Man Standing match between the two wrestlers in the Feud of the Year for free on an episode of Raw isn't enough wrestling for you? Seriously?
Posted By: ND (Guest) on November 10, 2008 at 11:44 PM
WORST MONDAY NIGHT RAW IN THE HISTORY OF MONDAY NIGHT RAW!
Way to bury D'Lo Brown, you worthless fucking cunts.
Mike Knox should have received the Droz treatment of all Droz treatments.
Way to destroy your show with generic losers such as Ted Dibiase JR and Cody Rhodes. To think that there's so many fools here that believe they are the "future of the business". The "WWE UNIVERSE" wouldn't know true potential even if it were placed on a cattle prod and shoved up their ass.
The Generic Era = Failure > The losers that still use "epic failure". Get lives.

it was a good show
Posted By: hound89 (Guest) on November 10, 2008 at 11:48 PM
This company should seriously just call it quits, at this point what are they trying to prove?
Nobody on the roster is worth watching on free television anymore let alone paying $39.99 per PPV.
Chalk it up as the sad state of the industry in 2008 where WWE just plain sucks monkey balls.
Posted By: Mr. Roo (Registered) on November 10, 2008 at 11:50 PM
so no bitching about the wwe giving away a last man standing match and no dq match on free tv???
Posted By: random (Guest) on November 10, 2008 at 11:53 PM
It was a good show?
No, actually it sucked.
Posted By: Master of the Obvious (Guest) on November 10, 2008 at 11:53 PM
"So uh, do you guys have social lives or do you just watch 2 hour shows only to bitch about them?"
do you really need to ask? the people who do the most bitching around here aren't allowed out after the street lights come on...
""Well you know, 14yr olds are easy to impress."
14-year-olds take the time to send in spoilers to wrestling websites? So that would make them smark marks, right?"
or at the very least, disgruntled 13 year olds who think they are uber cool by claiming that 14 year olds are easy to impress.
"Way to bury D'Lo Brown, you worthless fucking cunts.
Mike Knox should have received the Droz treatment of all Droz treatments."
bury D'Lo? he is lucky to be working this side of the pacific. honestly, he hasn't been impressive since BEFORE his team up with Mark Henry. D'Lo is being buried by no one other than D'Lo.

I agree WWE has been in a little bit of a lull the past few weeks, but 2008 has been a great year for WWE PPVs. Almost every one has delivered.

Mr Roo...doesn't it just take away from your emo apathy to post how much the WWE sucks? why don't you either not watch it if you don't like it, or just go back to cutting yourself for attention?
and remember to go up the road and not across the street.

"Way to destroy your show with generic losers such as Ted Dibiase JR and Cody Rhodes."
I for one really dig Cody Rhodes, and figure he could be something big one day. Dibiase is good too, but he doesn't seem to have that 'it' factor that Rhodes does. There was a time when people thought that Randy Orton and John Cena were generic losers, and they're two of the biggest stars in the world now, so I wouldn't write off Rhodes and Dibiase too quickly.
I like the build between Priceless and Orton, where Randy gets a little more impressed with the young guys as time goes on. Rhodes showed he had balls calling out Batista, which was good to see. I'm excited to get to the point where Orton takes over leadership of the group. They're making it mean something by allowing it to happen gradually, which is cool.

Judging by the spelling and grammar of most of the spoilers you see these days I'd say it's pretty likely that the average age of those who send in spoilers is around 14 years old.
Posted By: Daniel (Guest) on November 10, 2008 at 11:58 PM
To be honest though, D'Lo may not be too impressive. But I'd still rather watch him over Simply Priceless (I'll give Tony that one), Manu, Mike Knox, and Randy Orton.

COMMENT OF THE NIGHT hahahaha
at least for me seeing as how I've done this numerous times. Though more of Home Improvement and less of George Lopez. Tonight, however, was dedicated to Heroes.
Sorry, WWE, you can't build greater storylines than that of the Petrelli family (the McMahon's with super-powers but less annoying)
Posted By: Mossby (Guest) on November 11, 2008 at 12:27 AM
Mysterio is horrible and Kane is passed it.

First of all I dont even watch anymore just read. Hilarious video on Mike Adamle. I liked the Santino storyline, Regal the one to knock him off? What did Regal do for this, oh yeah, he failed his drug test twice and is from the UK.
Posted By: Chris (Guest) on November 11, 2008 at 01:08 AM
see what happened last time they did something with Regal, worked real nice didn't it? This was in England so you'd have to be a complete retard to think he wouldn't win

The first 50 minutes of the show... 1:30 of wrestling, when did WWE become TNA?
This show fucking sucked. That's it, there's no grey area here, it sucked ass. What a load of garbage. I've taken shits that were more interesting than this fucking trainwreck. And the marks who claim that we were blessed with an "epic" match between Jericho and Heartattack Kid have to be kidding. I thought this feud was dead. It's over, old news, yesterdays shit that's still floating in my toilet. That's your awesome show? You freaking tool marks.
Worst... television program... ever.

I dunno, but was it just me, or, did Mickie James looked liked she gained weight or something. If you watch her match with Beth Phoenix, you can that her gut is getting huge. Just saying.

"Look how cool I am to hate on something other people like!"
"OMG U R SO KOOL 2 HATE SUMTHIN I WANNA HATE SUMTHIN TOO!"
"You can't hate the same thing as me or you're a poser!"
"Well, I hate Raw!"
"THEN I HATEZ REY MYSTERIO!"
"And I hate Mike Knox's beard!"
"And I hate free Chris Jericho matches!"
"I HATEZ TEH NAZIES!!"
Which is just proof that Godwin could creep in anywhere...

Read the taped results and thought the LMS match would be good.
The whole match was spent watching the referee count in wrestling numbers.
1............(checks watch)............2............scratches left nad............3............wait for it............4............step forward, step back, swing arms............5............check chick in front row, nice rack............6............did I leave the iron on?............7............man I gotta pee............8............push other wrestler back because he isn't supposed to break the count............9............should I slow down? doesn't look like he will beat the count............1...oh, he beat the count, barely.
Wrestler A throws a punch, wrestler B goes down.
1............should I have pizza or a burger for dinner?............2............Mazzio's does have pasta and wings now...........3............I don't know what Stephanie gave me but it itches like hell............4............I hope that cream Jeff gave me works. He said it cured him of the whole Lita rash thing............5............God, I hope it isn't crabs............6............ooh, crabs. Seafood sounds good for dinner............7............Long John Silver's has that new healthy line............8.......oops, he got up.
Wrestler B kicks Wrestler A. Wrestler A falls down.
1............how long is this match?..........2............
I would like someone to watch that match again and see how much time of the match was spent counting.

What I would have done is wait for a while and have Santino almost tie the record by Honky Tonk. Then have him lose to Haastimate Warrior!!
It would have been interesting for Haas to come to the ring in UW attire and then find himself and win the Intercontinental Championship. Of course, he would have had to have given us hints of finding his true self weeks before the match..

I thought it was a great show but only because my favorite wrestler William Regal reclaimed the Intercontinental Championship!!! Yes, that makes him a two time IC Champion. Boy, was I surprised too. I expected Santino to get a quick roll-up or something but naw, Regal demolished him. Which is realistic in a way because Regal doesn't take any bull from anyone. I don't think this is a face turn though because Regal is always a face when he wrestles in England. He's still going to be the smirky, badass, cocky Englishman but at least now he won't be jobbing to Jamie Noble or Batista. And this sucks too because there's a hot girl at work and I said in my mind if Regal won the IC title I would ask her on a date. Great, now I got to do it. But yes!!! Go Regal!!!

Hopefully Regal as IC champion means we see more of Layla. But skimpier outfits, please (I mean on Layla, of course).

I've never posted a comment before, but the Adamle video was far out, bitchin, righteous and dope rolled into one.
Nice.

when it comes down to it wrestling in general sucks right now, but people shouldn't be bashing wwe for this, it's not their fault.
Posted By: nikki (Guest) on November 11, 2008 at 10:54 AM
I don't get it. Tonight we had a Last Man Standing Match of greatness, the IC title FINALLY means something again, and the Orton-Priceless drama is picking up, yet you guys still aren't happy? Wow, just wow.
I'm not saying it was the greatest show of all time, but I give credit where it's due. How often do you get LMS matches for 19 mins between two major stars?
Posted By: Orlando (Guest) on November 11, 2008 at 11:08 AM
I love anyone who complains that people are negative about a show they probably write movie reviews complaining why do they even watch movies if they're not going to like them.
Posted By: Guest#3540 (Guest) on November 11, 2008 at 11:22 AM
i see people on this website that complain about the people that complain when the show is bad then they say why don't you watch something else. Well, what you don't understand is a true wrestling fan is ALWAYS going to watch no matter what's going on in hopes that the product will get better or something that will shock the wrestling world might happen. Whether it's bad or whether it's good people still give the opinions. It's like when a fan's fav. team is down 30-0,they keep watching no matter what because they love their team. We keep watching no matter what because we love wrestling.

Watching the LMS match on youtube, I was able to do a little math.
Part one of the match:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuw7Yk4kXE0&feature=related
3.11 match begin
3.25-3.32 2 count over 7 seconds
3.48-3.59 3 count over 11 seconds
4.34-4.51 5 count over 17 seconds
5.13-5.25 4 count over 12 seconds
5.36-5.53 5 count over 17 seconds
6.28-6.55 7 count over 27 seconds
7.05-7.26 5 count over 21 seconds
7.27-7.40 commercial
7.47-8.15 8 count over 28 seconds
8.29-8.52 7 count over 23 seconds
0.47-1.21 9 count over 34 seconds
1.38-1.55 5 count over 17 seconds
2.05-2.11 1 count over 6 seconds
2.38-3.07 8 count over 29 seconds
3.56-4.06 2 count over 10 seconds
4.17-4.47 9 count over 30 seconds
5.15-5.42 7 count over 27 seconds
6.41-7.13 8 count over 32 seconds
7.37-8.14 9 count over 37 seconds
8.33-9.09 10 count over 36 seconds
9.09 match end
During the 14 mins 15 sec of the match shown, 7 min 1 sec was watching the referee count. During the 421 seconds he was counting, he basically counted to 114.
So, every four seconds equal one "count".
Fine, it's always been that way. But I can't call this match great when 50% of it was watching a striped shirt have a mini-seizure every 4 seconds.

By the way, anyone else get the same ad at the bottom of this page showing that a woman went from flab and black to fab and white in only 2 weeks?
That's quite a product to change you from African American to Caucasion in only 2 weeks. And, you lose weight too.
Michael Jackson did it the hard way.

Yeah, Mickie is getting a lil' chubby but I like it. JBL had to fuck up the LMS standing match. Man he sucks along with Mike Knox.

Pathetic Show, I feel sorry for anyone who paid to see that.

Going to live shows is fun. I went to Raw on 10-13 in Anaheim, but when I saw the show on tv, it wasn't a very good show. Not the worst and not the best, but just okay. It was still fun to see live. The fans screaming and the loud music and the pyro is all awesome to see live. Not every show is going to be ***** five stars. No show is perfect, but Raw is the longest- running series in history.

Great job David, you just won the award for Nerdiest Post in the History of Nerdy Posts. Please accept your award from the previous title holder, Darth Mortis, who is keeping it snugly up his ass.

On behalf of people everywhere that are doing everything they can to avoid working, I accept this award (give me a fart Darth so I can get this thing out of there). And I....DAMN BOY. You eat a lot of corn nuts or something? That stank!

David... get a grip...its called "suspension of disbelief" . The only people who count the seconds during a ten count either has extreme OCD or is named Czonka

"This company should seriously just call it quits, at this point what are they trying to prove? "
Umm, I believe they are trying to prove that they can make money for the McMahons, WWE employees and WWE stockholders. A point that they are (and have been) proving very profitably.

michael cole out did himself during the last man standing match. he said that it was rare to see hbk use the scoop slam!!!he uses the scoop slam in every fuckin match wtf is he talking about??? this man should be fired in my opinion hes worse than the other mike who finally left us
Posted By: guest1234 (Guest) on November 11, 2008 at 02:55 PM
I've seen far worse raws.
Admittedly other than the Kane Mysterio match and HBK vs Jericho, the other matches were just waaay too freakin SHORT!
Posted By: Naich-mark! (Guest) on November 11, 2008 at 03:12 PM
Great comment!
Posted By: Parxy (Guest) on November 11, 2008 at 03:34 PM
You know what takes me out of the match more than anything these days, and it happened in the Jericho/Michaels match. They have been in the ring for like 45 seconds and they both go down to the mat and act as if they have been in a 60 minute iron man match already. Michaels even did the kip up in like the first couple minutes of the match, which after 20 minutes is impressive, but at the beginning of the match, whats the point? I have just gotten WWE 24/7 and I am watching wrestlers like Tull/Arn and the Rock N Roll Express, tell a story in that ring for like 20 plus minutes. You know what else is terrible, Kane trying to make Mysterios offense look passable. I hated that match.

Here's a thought.
Not every wrestling show is Heroes of Wrestling or December to Dismember
Not every wrestling show is Mania XVII or Bash 89
I'm just saying...

i'm sorry but that match between Y2J and HBK was super boring.I'm tired of there feud.Let y2j feud with newcomers no old ones

Santino dropping the belt = EPIC FAIL
No Miz & Morrison = EPIC FAIL
No CM Chump = EPIC WIN
2 EPIC FAILS + 1 EPIC WIN = meh show

the adamle video actually made me start to well up a little bit
Posted By: jonah (Guest) on November 11, 2008 at 05:11 PM
CM Punk is in no way a chump even if wwe books him as a chump
if you watched anything of punk in ROH or the inys he is one of the best in the ring and maybe the best on the mic
wwe needs to let him talk and turn heel and run witht he straightedge thing
and I didnn't hate raw and thats something considering I hate wwe with a passion
but the Last Man Standing Match was good
and they put the IC title on an actual wrestler
if they actualy gave a shit about that belt he could be big
Regal is a fantastic wrestler

That's a strange comment. What, you're afraid of girls? I hope not. Just ask her out anyway. If she goes out with you, and Regal loses the title, would you stop asking her out?
Posted By: Chico (Guest) on November 11, 2008 at 06:29 PM
Apparently I'm going crazy or something, cause I could've sworn that wasn't the Italian flag on Santino's TitanTron last night.
Posted By: nick (Guest) on November 11, 2008 at 06:44 PM
Yeah, what was up with Mickie? One of two things is up. She's either getting fat or she's having John Cena's kid. If anyone else can explain it, please let me know.

The IC Title is actually going to mean something now, how is that FAIL?
Miz n Morrison are awesome but not from RAW so FAIL doesn't count?
And CM CHUMP? So you'd rather watch some other wrestler that can't wrestle for shiznit? CM Punk is good, but was not booked good.
Posted By: guesthehe (Guest) on November 11, 2008 at 09:22 PM
Dude Regal's freaking awesome! I love his wrestling, he's BRUTAL!
Posted By: guesthehe (Guest) on November 11, 2008 at 09:26 PM
Did anyone notice Regal broke character slightly and spoke in his normal accent?
Wonder if he will revert back to his fake posh accent next week?

It boggles my mind how fans sellout arenas to see Raw only to get two good matches and a bunch of silly comedy segments and wash matches. If it were a free show, I'd understand. But people pay top dollar to see these shows and yet its like their happy. I don't get it. Whatever...
this Raw wasn't terrible. some of the short matchups like Codes vs Batista and the Women's Title match were decent. I feel like though everytime they go overseas for Raw, we get a matchup that we here in the states are used to seeing because they've never seen it live. So Jericho vs Michaels and Mickie vs Beth have been done to death, but i can understand why they went with those two matches.

For todays wrasslin standards this was a good show. Like it was stated already , great blowoff matches to decent long term fueds and set up future ones... I was dissapointed to see the end of the Honk O Meter tho..

piperfan01 - that was a great comment, and an even better point. i think the difference is that the Attitude Era has conditioned people to expect rapid fire matches, month long title reigns and so on. ADD programming is far more prevalent now, and it does insult the intelligence of older fans (those familiar with pre Attitude era wrestling.)
for example, many of the people bitching about Santino losing the title and the opportunity to break HTM's streak only know about that streak from reading up about it, and didn't see it.
HTM, for all his faults now, was one of the best examples of the chickenshit heel. yea, he was great on the mic (maybe not even as good as Santino is now) but he could back it up in the ring too, something that Santino simply can't do yet. you compare a Jake Roberts vs HTM match to anything Santino has done in ring, and you will see the difference.
and the fact that Shawn Michaels is also older now doesn't help. I remember the Rockers first coming into the WWE...over 20 years ago now.
i think, in a way, the Attitude era both raised expectations and lowered the quality in the long run. it is pretty obvious that only a small percentage of the fanbase are appreciative of old shool wrestling, especially when so many reference the Attitude era as being the peak of in ring action.
i think the WWE would be best served to go back to longer title reigns, more clearly defined faces and heels and so forth. Attitude was good for its time, but their attempts to hang on to the bits of it that worked 10 years ago are just dragging it down now.

I remain a big wrestling fan even at 34 years old. I am finding that I am having to retrain myself to watch matches like Ole/Arn vs Rock N Roll Express matches. This new WWE style is just terrible. It's like Vince sat everyone down and said heres the thing, you all must learn one resthold. You must use it in every match. Randy Orton you get the chinlock, make it work. Umanga, (Yes UMANGA, good to have you back Regal)you get the nerve hold, make it work. Slow your matches down, get knocked out of the ring for the commercial break, make comeback, end scene. Its boring. But like I said after watching so much of it, I am finding my mind has been warped to watch it like that, I was watching Briscos vs Steamboat and Youngblood, and I found myself fast forwarding before relaizing what I was doing. I need more 24/7 I think...

Best things on RAW right now?:
Regal, love his rough style, looks realistic. Cody Rhodes, could be the perfect Tully-like heel, let him run with it! Jericho, as long as he doesn't try and act mad or upset. Michaels, still puts on the best matches.

...I thought it was a solid event and a lot better than your average RAW from the last few months! If you aren't happy, stop watching and stop whining, its that simple
