411’s WWE No Way Out Report 2.15.09
Posted by Chris Lansdell on 02.15.2009

Greetings humanity! Welcome to 411mania's No Way Out report. I am your host Chris Lansdell, and I cannot wait to see Mike Knox's beard eliminate everyone except Cena. Ready to rock? Then...

WWE Title Elimination Chamber Match: Edge © vs. HHH vs. The Big Show vs. The Undertaker vs. Vladimir Kozlov vs. Jeff Hardy

WOAH. Jerk that curtain Taker! The good news is I can run to 7-11 and grab some more iced tea before he hits the ring. Be right back...

Yup, I was right. I can't believe that with an ECW title match on the card, they open with this. I guess they want to separate the two matches, partly because the Raw one will make this look awful and partly to prevent overload. Taker is locked in a pod, Show is out next. I literally cannot remember what he looked like with hair. Kozlov is next out. According to Small (in between sobs that Khali is not on the card), the guys in the Chamber are always eliminated in the order they come to the ring. With HHH next he may have a point. HHH stands in the corner with Show's pod and enrages the giant to the point that Show punches his pod. There's a joke there somewhere. Hardy's music hits and the pop is smaller than expected. Edge is now out without Vickie, thank the maker. Everyone's all nicely locked in but it will be Edge ands Hardy to start. Hardy goes straight for him with boots in a corner, a whip and a few flying forearms and Hardy is in control. A second whip is reversed and Edge hits a large boot for 2. NOW the crowd is loud for Jeff, but he is being choked on the ropes. Edge drops his weight on Jeff's back and gets a 2 count. Edge takes Hardy to the corner where Show waits, and Show is stationary and staring at both men. Great image. Edge mocks Show and whips Jeff over, Jeff avoids the charges and hits a headscissors. =Inverted atomic drop, doble legdrop to the nuts and a basement dropkick by Hardy. He goes for the Twist of Fate, Edge escapes and goes for the Edgecution, Jeff escapes and hits the Twist! Jeff goes to the top! Swanton MISSES! Edge charges for the Spear, Hardy catches him in a small package! 1...2...3!!!! What the fuck? HHH is laughing. Hardy has a short rest but here come the pretty lights and...Kozlov! Hardy charges right into the Bolshevik Boot. Shoulder charges by Kozlov iun the corner, Hardy gets his knees up to block one then goes up top...BATTERING RAM by Kozlov and Hardy is down. Now the steel comes into play as Hardy is pushed into the links. They are on the platform, Kozlov scoops Hardy into a body slam position and just runs him into the chains before depositing him over the ropes. 1...2...2.75! Kozlov mounts and pounds. He lifts Hardy onto his shoulders in DVD position, then drops him onto the top turnbuckle and lays in the headbutts. BIG kick by Kozlov and a fallaway slam. 1...2...no. It's pretty much got to be HHH next. Backbreaker by Kozlov gets 2 more, and now he's hugging him. No, that's a waistlock. My bad. Hardy fights out but is dropped by a shoulder block, followed by an elbow drop. Kozlov tries a running powerslam but Hardy slips out the back and dropkicks him from behind! Slingshot corner dropkick! 2 count for Hardy. Jeff hauls Kozlov up, Vladimir whips him to the corner but Hardy hits Whisper in the Wind! Cue the light show as both men are down...oh dear. Big Show is in. He goes straight for Hardy and throws him halfway to Raw. Headbutt to Hardy who stumbles into the clutches of Kozlov, who ties him up and headbutts him in the sternum repeatedly. Show is smiling as he picks up Jeff and hits a weak-looking punch (called "thunderous" by JR). JR seems to have learned the word "malignant" this week as eveything is malignant. Big slam to Hardy and it appears that Show and Kozlov are playing Top This. Kozlov with a slam now. Hardy tries another spirited comeback, but the forehead of Show cuts that short. Show hits a nasty chop to the chest of Hardy and swats him down. Show chucks Hardy to the corner and smacks him about, then turns around RIGHT INTO THE BATTERING RAM! Show went down like Enron stock! The two behemoths slug it out with Show getting the upper hand. Show tries a suplex but Kozlov blocks. The lights hit just as Show levels Kozlov with a clothesline...HHH! Jawjacker for Show! High knee for Kozlov! Show reverses a whip but HHH avoids the charge and HITS A SPINEBUSTER ON SHOW!!! Hardy is up! Kick and the Twist...no! HHH pushes him off and hits a huge clothesline! Kozlov charges, HHH low-bridges him and he goes to the platform. HHH tries to take Kozlov to the chains, Vladimir blocks and hits a knee, he charges at HHH but he moves and Vlad hits a steel corner support of the chamber head first! PEDIGREE ON THE STEEL! No! Show breaks it up with a big slap bringing HHH back into the ring involuntarily. Side Slam by Show gets 2 while Kozlov chokes Hardy in the corner. Taker is impatient, beating on the pod. HHH kicks Show in the gut twice, Show comes back with some big slaps. Kozlov with the shoulder charges in the corner to Hardy. Show has HHH goozled! Countered by HHH, he hits some shots and comes off the ropes RIGHT into a military press by Show! That's strength. Kozlov is still beating on Hardy, by the way. Show hurls HHH into the chains, Hardy has Kozlov down! Show squashes HHH into the chain, Hardy tries to attack Show from behind but Show catches him and rams him into HHH! He charges and both men move! Show to the chains! Double kick to the gut of Kozlov by HHH and Hardy! Hardy whips HHH, reversed but Hardy hits Whisper in the Wind again! Light show and it's Taker time! He goes straight for Show and pummels him down, then ducks an attack from Kozlov and pummels him! Snake Eyes! Big boot! Charging clothesline in the corner for HHH! Corner splash for Hardy! Goozle to HHH! Goozle to Hardy! Boot to Kozlov! Show ends the madness with a headbutt. Whip in, Taker ducks the clothesline and hits a leaping one of his own! He twists the arm of HHH, and goes for Old School...but jumps straight into Show on the steel platform...and Show has him goozled! Chokeslam COUNTERED into a DDT! Damn, right on the steel. Taker finishes the interrupted Old School then takes Hardy down before being levelled by Kozlov. Body shots in the corner by Kozlov, he climbs to the second and hits elbows to the top of Taker's head. I smell a Last Ride. Yup, there it is. 1...2...3! Kozlov is gone, that's his first pin in WWE I believe. Chokeslam to Taker by Show! HHH sets for a Pedigree but Show reverses and sends HHH to the steel! Press slam to Hardy and throws him into HHH on the steel! Show looks dominant tonight. HHH is thrown to the chains by Show. Hardy with a couple of kicks, Show tries to throw him to the chains but Hardy just grabs them and climbs to the top of a pod! Show reaches through the top and crotches him!!! Show goes up after Hardy but Taker follows...last time someone did this the ring broke! SUPERPLEX! Show is down! PEDIGREE to Big Show! I smell Swanton from the pod...so does the crowd...GOD DAMN he nailed it! 1...2...3! HHH gets the pin on Show! Whip to Hardy, he tries a third Whisper but Taker moves. HHH lays the shots to Taker, Taker counters and throws him into the corner and hits some body shits. HARD whip by Taker and HHH goes over the top to the steel! Taker goes for Old School on Hardy, but HHH reaches up from outside and crotches him! Hardy up...POETRY IN MOTION off Taker's back into HHH on the steel, driving him to the chains! What the...HOLY FUCK Taker grabs Jeff from behind and hauls him up for a Tombstone...connects! Three is elementary and we're down to Taker-HHH. We get a replay of the Tombstone and Hardy bounced. HHH and Taker face off, HHH charges and Taker gets a boot up. Taker has HHH in the corner with some heavy body shots. Headbutt by Taker. He backs up and charges...HHH moves! Taker crotches himself again. Well on the replay it looks more like he hamstrung himself. HHH takes Taker to the chains then...goes up top? Caught in a goozle! Chokeslam! 1...2...2.91!! Whip by Taker, he charges into a HHH boot, HHH charges and gets caught in a snake eyes! HHH with a spinebuster out of nowhere! 1...2...2.87! Taker goes to the steel platform again, HHH gains control and rams Taker to the chains! Pedigree set up...countered! HHH gets catapulted to the chains! Tombstone try! Countered by HHH! NO COUNTERED BY TAKER!!! Tombstonbe! 1...2...2.99874!!!!! HHH gets his foot on the rope!~!!! Fuck me senseless and call me Paris. Has anyone but Kane kicked out of that? Well, Hogan did. Probably. HHH is hauled up, KICK WHAM PEDIGREE! 1...2...2.98865! Jesus. Just end the PPV after this, it can't get better. They exchange rights, Taker wins the exchange. Whip reversed, Taker to the corner hard. HHH climbs up with the rights but Taker again goes for the Last Ride...No! HHH out the back! KICK WHAM PEDIGREE! 1...2...3!!!!!

Winner, and NEW WWE Champion: HHH by pinfall (Pedigree)

Taker looks back at HHH but decides to let him live. HHH poses.

Edge is begging Vickie to restart the match, she puts him in his place then backs down.

Video package for Orton-Super Shane, followed by an Orton promo. How's your father Shane? Propped up in bed with Linda, praying that their only son will avenge him. It's not going to happen. Vince is going to be completely helpless for the first time, watching his only son cry as Orton takes him apart piece by piece. Blah blah blah, main event WrestleMania. I can't decide if that was intense or wooden.

No Holds Barred Match: Shane McMahon vs. Randy Orton

He hears voices in his head, they counsel him, they understand. I would buy that whole album just for this song. Orton is out solo and teases THE Pose before just standing on the ropes looking for gym bags in the crowd. You should have went before you came out, Randall. Here comes the money, dance and all! Stephanie is in the back watching.

Bell rings and Shane does not charge. Boo. Shane sticks and moves a couple of times, his punches look FAR better tonight. Not a tough task. Orton learns his lesson and catches Shane with a kick to the gut and then just beats him down with forearms and clubbing blows. Shane comes back with body shots and now to the jaw. Orton to the outside and Shane nails a baseball slide! PLUNDAH TIME~! He got the tables! And a garbage can! He should pull out Hornswoggle, look confused and then smack Orton with Hornswoggle. Shane spent too long fetching weaponry and Orton catches him with a stiff knee. Orton drives Shane back-first to the apron then rolls him in. Very slow, deliberate start to this. BIG back suplex by Orton and he's after the turnbuckle pad. Whip to the exposed turnbuckle and Shane is down. Kicks to the back by Orton, he looks in no hurry to win this one. Shane is unceremoniously kicked to the floor. Orton leans through the ropes to get him, HE HAS A KENDO STICK! Wham! Wham! Wham! Shane is in the ring now wearing Orton out with the stick and still selling the back. HOME RUN SWING to the ribs of Orton who goes to the outside. Shane follows with a big clothesline! He's demolishing the announce table...MONITOR SHOT TO THE HEAD! Unprotected and Orton is bleeding hardway. Orton is either out on his feet or selling beautifully. Shane dumps him on the table and gets in the ring. He climbs the ropes... LEGACY are out! They put a beating on Shane, DiBiase stays on him while Rhodes fetches a chair! DiBiase holds him, wonder what's going to happen...SHane turns around and DiBiase gets the chair shot! DDT on the chair to Rhodes! Shane sets Cody in the corner, we get a shot of Orton and the man is in a mess. The garbage can is set up and Shane goes up...VAN TERMINATOR! Orton is still out on the table, Shane goes up! Elbow MISSES! Orton moved! He still looks out of it. We get a replay of the Van Terminator, find me one man Shane's age who can hit that move. Orton back in the ring, he orders DiBiase to take Rhodes to the back and make sure he is OK. Nice touch. DiBiase asks if he is sure, Orton suggests haste. Shane is trying to get back in, Orton has evil in his eyes. He crabs him coming through the ropes and hits the rope-assisted elevated DDT. 1...2...no! Another cover, another 2! Hooks both legs, 2 more! Orton is eyeing the table, he brings it in the ring and this could get uglier. He sets it up near the corner and perches Shane on the top turnbuckle. Right hands to Shane, Orton climbs up with him and sets for a superplex...CONNECTS! Mother of Mercy. Orton stomping now. 2 count for Orton. He's setting uup for the punt! Here it comes SPEAR BY SHANE! Shane crawls for the chair as Orton struggles to get up...shot to the back by Shane! Shot to the ankle! For some reason Randy is holding the knee. Another shot to the ankle! Orton is on his knees begging, Shane ignores him and smacks him sideways! Shane is measuring Orton...could he want the punt? He charges RKO FROM NOWHERE! DAMN he got some height on that! 1...2...3? Really?

Winner: Randy Orton via pinfall (RKO)

That's because the match went 40+ minutes. Thanks for reading!

ECW Title Match: Finlay vs. Jack Swagger ©

I am ready to anoint SWAGGA as the Next One should he put on a good show here tonight. He seems to have all the tools. Finlay's music and hat, on the other hand, make him LOOK like a tool.

Finlay with an early takedown and right into a single leg crab???! Hey, remember when that was a finisher? Swagger tries for the ropes but Finlay drags him back and stomps on the knee. Variation of the single leg crab now, and another stomp to the knee. To the corner and more kicks to the leg by Finlay, he charges but Swagger moves and Finlay headbutts the turnbuckle. Arm wringer and knee strikes by Swagger, then a key lock. SHOULDER BREAKER by Swagger gets 2. Don't see that often. Swagger now locks in a cross armbreaker! Hey, remember when that was a finisher? Finlay with a great counter to a headlock, but Swagga rolls through into a hammerlock, stomps on the arm and back to the cross armbreaker. Clubbing shots to the arm, he tries another shoulder breaker but Finlay out the back door and into the reverse DDT backbreaker for 2! Swagger quickly regains control by driving Finlay to the corner. Swagger charges, Finlay ducks down so Swagger backs off, charges again but Finlay goes up and over into a rollup! Swagger's shoulder is not down so the ref won't count. Again Swagger back in control. The crowd are not into this AT ALL, which sucks because it's a good match. Finlay perched up top, Swagger goes up with him but Finlay pushes him off! Kick to the ribs by Finlay followed by a short-arm clothesline. Finlay goes to the second rope, Hornswoggle tries to help but Finlay sends him away...crossbody by Finlay gets 2. Series of clotheslines by Finlay, ass drop gets 2. Dammit shut up Seattle, this is not boring. Finlay set for the Finlay Roll, Hornswoggle is on the apron! Finlay pauses long enough for Swagger to escape and push Finlay into his son! Horny is down! Horny is down! Kick to the back by Swagger...DOCTOR BOMB almost kills Finlay! 1...2...3!

Winner, and STILL ECW Champion: Jack Swagger by pinfall (Doctor Bomb)

Cole and King tell us that Shane is in and out of consciousness and is on his way to hospital.

Video package for HBK-JBL.

All or Nothing: Shawn Michaels vs. JBL

JBL out first, without limo. We get a shot of Whisper, err Rebecca in the crowd. JBL still looks like Harrison Ford. HBK gets the pop of the night and looks to have some of his fire back.

Lock up and JBL backs Shawn to the corner and tells Shawn he only needs to make one mistake. Again JBL backs HBK to the corner, he tries the trash talk again and HBK explodes! JBL flees to the outside and has a big grin on his face. HBK charges and JBL hands him a chair! Smart. HBK drops it and attacks hard, then throws JBL back in. HBK is caught coming in with a clubbing blow, whip by JBL, he drops his head and HBK tries for the sunset flip, JBL sits down and gets the 2. Backslide by HBK gets 1 only before JBL rolls through and levels HBK with a shoulder block. Elbow drop gets 2. Scoop by JBL, Shawn escapes out the back and hits a chop block. Figure 4! Seattle whoos but JBL is in the ropes. HBK breaks at 4. Crossface! Cole calls it "submission maneuver". JBL rolls through it and gets a 2 count. Big chop by HBK, whip reversed and Michaels gos up and over and out to the floor. JBL follows and drives his back to the apron, then rolls him back in. Shot to the back and a sextuplet of elbow drops gets 2. Short-arm clothesline gets 2 more. Big rights in the corner by JBL and a kick to the head, HBK is dazed. Whip to the corner and a bear hug by JBL. Rebecca, honey, it's called a tanning salon, not a toaster. Jesus. Shawn finally escapes the bear hug, whip by HB reversed but AGAIN JBL drops his head and Shawn hits the neckbreaker! Both men are down, Shawn hits the inverted atomic, a chop and another inverted atomic! Whip reversed and HBK does the Flair bump, JBL puts Shawn on the top, goes up with him and sets for the superplex... Shawn fights it...JBL falls! Elbow drop maybe? JBL moves! Scouting 101! CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL! 1...2...2.71! Well now. JBL measures HBK...hits a SECOND Clothesline from Hell! Michaels is dumped to the outside and JBL watches the ref count. HBK in at 9. JBL takes offense to that and hurls him over the top. JBL with the trash talk to Rebecca now! SLAP by Rebecca! Isn't that a DQ? HBK is incensed now! Flying forearm! Kip Up! Mounted punches! VINTAGE MICHAELS~! Scoop slam, HBK heads up...elbow! Strike up the band, we're going home! Sweet Chin Music! 1...2...3!

Winner: Shawn Michaels via pinfall (Sweet Chin Music)

Rebecca is happy. Her mascara is running, bitch don't know about Revlon. Now she can get extra minutes at Tan-Me-Rite!

Jericho is with Todd. He's the best at what he does, so he's going to win. Then he's going to challenge Flair to come out of retirement. Whatever. While they reconstruct the chamber we get Cole bleating about percentages.

World Title Elimination Chamber Match: John Cena © vs. Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Mike Knox vs. Kane

Just to mock me, Cena comes out first. Knox seems to have had his beard trimmed, which will doubtless make Larry cry. I keep expecting him to say "I'M ROBBY!". That or show up on Impact. Kane is next and does nothing special. What sort of world do we live in when Taker jerks the curtain and Mike Knox and Kofi Kingston are in the main? Not so fast on the Kofi, EDGE IS HERE!!! He beats the shit out of Kofi, CONCHAIRTO!!! Rey is out to check on Kofi, meanwhile Edge has locked himself in a pod! Let's go to Blaccu-Weather meteorolgist Ollie Williams in the middle of Black History Month to get an update on Kofi. Ollie?

DAT BRUTHA DEAD!

Thanks Ollie. Now this!

Rey is going nuts on the locked pod as Jericho casually strolls down to the ring. Well I guess we know who wins this now. I just wonder who gave Edge the authority to enter himself in the match. It's going to be Rey and Jericho to start. Nobody seems to care that Edge has entered himself. Headlock by Jericho, he takes Rey down but Rey gets back to his feet and pushes Jericho off, Rey is taken down with a shoulder block. They run the ropes, monkey flip by Rey. Headscissors by Rey puts Jericho in 619 position, but Jericho moves so Rey springboards into a somersault senton to the steel platform! Rey clotheslines Jericho back into the ring, hits some forearms and goes for a whip. Rey charges and FUCK ME UPSIDE DOWN SIDEWAYS AND BACKWARDS Jericho moves and you could hear the crunch as Rey hit the pod! Delayed suplex by Jericho gets 2. Chinlock by Jericho, Rey battles out and tries to charge but gets lifted over the rope to the steel. Catapult to the chains by Jericho but Rey pulls a Jeff Hardy and climbs the chains! He's hanging off the roof! Headscissors from the roof of the chamber! Slingshot senton gets 2. Wheelbarrow into a bulldog by Rey! Here come the lights and...Kane!

Boot for Rey. Big shot for Jericho and Kane goes to stare at Edge? Jericho jumps on Kane's back but gets tossed. Rey ducks a clothesline and gets hit by a side slam. Shots in the corner from Kane to Jericho, stiff ones too. NICE basement dropkick to Rey gets 2 for Kane. Jericho attacks from behind and has control over Kane now, but Kane blocks a right and hits some of his own, then clotheslines Jericho to the steel. He drops Jericho knee-first to the steel. Wow I bet that sucks. Rey nails Kane from behind and does some damage to the big man. Baseball slide sends Kane out to the grating. He tries to follow but eats an uppercut from Kane. Whip by Kane, he charges straight into Rey's boot. Tilt-a-whirl reverse DDT by Rey! Jericho tries a Lionsualt and misses! Kane charges Rey but eats turnbuckle on a drop toehold! Another one for Jericho! Dial it up...wrong number! Goozle to Rey! Goozle to Jericho, he pushes Jericho off but Rey escapes! 619 to Kane! Codebreaker to Kane, but nobody goes for the pin! Rey backdrops Jericho to the grating then climbs the pod! SENTON FROM THE TOP OF THE POD TO KANE!!! 1...2...3!!!! Kane is gone! Here come the lights...MIKE KNOX! Huge boot for Rey and another for Jericho! Avalanche to Rey in the corner, scoop slam and a big kneedrop to Jericho gets 2. Kick to the ribs of Rey. Jericho tries to fight back, Knox takes control but gets sloppily backdropped to the steel platform. That was ugly. Jericho tries the triangle dropkick but Knox catches him and slams him to the chains. Rey is inching up behind Knox he jumps on Knox's back but gets thrown upside down into the chains and he is caught in them! That could hurt. Rey manages to free himself while Knox slams Jericho to a pod, then press slams him over the ropes and back into the ring. Knox's domination segment is better than Kozlov's so far. Rey tries to fight back but a kick to the gut ends that. Charge to the corner, Rey gets a foot up but Knox catches it! Backbreaker into the Knox Out...NO! Codebreaker! 1...2...3! Knox is gone! Jericho with shots to Rey as we get the light show...EDGE! REY COMES INTO THE POD AFTER HIM! Shades of last year's No Way Out! Slingshot crossbody by Rey! He runs the ropes and gets LEVELLED by a clothesline out of left field by Jericho! Back suplex by Jericho. Edge attacks Jericho, who fights back with a whip and a bulldog. Jericho goes after Rey, who hits some forearms before running into a back elbow by Jericho. LIONSAULT finds nothing but Rey's knees! Edgecation from behind gets 2 on Jericho! Whip by Edge to Rey, he hits the turnbuckle chest-first. Edge is set for the Spear, Rey avoids it! Codebreaker blocked and Jericho lands on his head! Rey has Edge in position for the 619 but Jericho with a Spear of his own! Jericho takes Rey to the corner, pulls him to the top rope but Rey fights it. Jericho is leaning against the pod, Edge climbs up behind Rey...TOWER OF DOOM! Rey eats the German, Edge gets sunset bombed. All 3 men down and it's almost Cena Time! Edge tosses Jericho over the top to the grating, and Edge turns slowly as Cena is free! Shoulder block! Clotheslines! BELLY TO BELLY for Edge! Fisherman release to Jericho! Bulldog to Edge! Clothesline to Jericho! Protobomb! He's a House! En! FUEGO~! You are unable to visually perceive him! Attitude Adjustment to Edge...no
! Codebreaker!!! 619!!! Spear!!! 1...2...3!!!! CENA IS GONE!!!

Even Edge looks shocked. Rey with a dropkick to Edge, whip to Jericho reversed and Rey counters a flapjack to a headscissors. Another headscissors to Edge, dropkick to Jericho and both are in position! Edge moves, 619 to Jericho! Edge charges, Rey moves and Edge hits the pod! Springboard senton to Jericho...NO!!! Countered to the Walls! Awesome! Wait, the counter is countered to a rollup! 1...2...3!!! Jericho is gone!!! WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING TONIGHT???

Edge is measuring Rey for the Spear! Rey is in the opposite corner, he moves! Schoolboy!!! 1...2...2.97072!!!!! Seattle is crazy behind Rey. Springboard crossbody by Rey! 1...2...2.888! Boot by Edge, he tries a sunset flip but Rey rolls through! TAJIRI BUZZSAW KICK!!! 1...2...NO!!! Holy shit! Smackdown Six all over again. Whip by Rey reversed, Rey tries a springboard but Edge catches him! Rey spins around into a DDT! 2 more!!!!! Rey is going back to the top, Edge knocks Rey off and he hits the steel hard. Edge goes for a powerbomb on the grating! COUNTERED TO A FACEBUSTER ON THE STEEL! Reverse 619!! Right to the back of the skull! Edge is still outside though. Both men are staggering, Rey charges and EDGE LIFTS HIM HIGH AND INTO AND THROUGH A POD! HOLY FUCKING FUCKERY OF FUCKTASTIC FUCKS! Rey is dead. Edge is set for the Spear...connects! 1...2...3!!!

Winner, and NEW World Heavyweight Champion: Edge via pinfall (Spear)

Edge celebrates with the title as we go off the air. Odds this holds up tomorrow night?

Edge taking out Kofi = LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Posted By: Guest#6220 (Guest)  on February 15, 2009 at 11:30 PM

Wow. I'm legit surprised by this evenings events. Really fucking wishes I watched this.

So we'll be getting Edge vs. Cena and H vs. Orton at WM this year? Much better main events then Orton/Cena and H/Edge. Plus with HBK free of JBL, we might get Taker/Shawn. Add in a MITB, Christian/Swagger, no Playboy match, and ACDC, and we have a kickass WM on our hands.

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?.....SERIOUSLY EDGE WINNING THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE. I know he's "the Ultimate Opportunist" but can't they ever book it where he doesn't ever weasel his way to a World Title. This is his 8th World Title and safe bet he loses right away.....Edge as Champ just doesn't cut for me anymore. Edge is now the modern day Rock with many title reigns not equaling 1 full year, hell might be less that that.

Ok, I get it.....RAW world title tournament for WM25? because there is no way Edge won that title legally.
If anyone could have done what edge did and get away with it...then the elimination chamber qualifying matches were basically useless.

I am calling it, World Heavyweight Championship will be declared vacant tomorrow night on Raw

What a show! Period. Best PPV I've seen in so long from the 'E. Not that they've been doing bad or that I haven't enjoyed the PPV's in the last few months, but I thought tonight's show was just special, going above and beyond to give the fans 3 action-packed hours well worth the money.

The only waste was the ECW Title, but you knew that would happen as it had to follow 2 fantastic matches. HBK/JBL was as good if not better than what I'd hoped for, and the Raw Elimination Chamber featured 2 of the biggest twists of the year: Edge entering after his dismal showing early on, and Cena only being in the match for like a minute with Edge going on to win. The most impressive showing of the night though for me was from Rey Mysterio, who OWNED that match from beginning to end. His performance in it was just phenomenal.

No Holds Barred delivered huge, and the Smackdown Chamber match started off great, faltered in the middle thanks to Kozlov's awful performance, and then ratcheted back up after his elimination and ending up being a great match, especially it's closing minutes.

With one exception (ECW), this PPV was awesome!

Now THAT was an excellent show, only one poor match on the card, the ECW title match.
I've seen all the HHH whining on the Live Coverage thread, tell me this fuckers, did he or did he not bust his ass in the match? He and Taker both did, and the match was excellent for it.
"He's trying to beat Flair's title reigns, WAAAAAHHHHH" So fucking what? The titles are fake dipshits, and even if he does, does that somehow make Flair a worse wrestler? Grow up. What will you all say when he loses the belt at WM25??
Great effort in all the matches, and a lot of unpredictability in the chamber matches.
Oh, and HHH was main eventing before he started ploughing the boss' daughter, in fact, wasn't he champ a couple of times already?? Also, since he respects Flair so much, I figure he'll get to 16 titles and stop.

Tremendous PPV. One of the greatest No Way Outs of all time. From top to bottom everything kicked ass. The only match I didn't enjoy was the ECW title match. Everything else rocked! Best match: Raw Elimination Chamber match.

Well Orton, decisions decisions! He has a choice of edge or hhh at WM25. I think he will go after both titles. Let us hope that Cena does NOT get a successful rematch because you know he will whine for it thinking that the ppl will get behind him. You might as well call him John "Hulk Hogan '80s" Cena.

Eeerr is WWE turning into WCW?

Getting sick of all these title changes... sometimes going the predictable root before Wrestlemania is OK.

Edge 'shockingly' winning titles constantly is a pain in the arse now... cause you no he is guaranteed to lose it a month later.

HHH 13 time champion... YAWN. Now he has 8 wwe titles and takes over Rock as the record hold... GAY.

Bullshit! And people complain about cena and Triple H. Edge is doing both at the same time! They are shoving him down our throats AND just won his eight(?) title in what, 3 years? So is edge the face of the company AND banging stephanie? I never took him seriously as champion, not once. So it's Cena vs Edge (AGAIN!!) and Trips vs Orton (AGAIN!!) at Wrestlemania. Woop de doo, how fun.

God I love edge, as long as he's around, there is always hope something great is going to happen and by god it did!

The two chambers were fantastic, the rest was average but HBK/JBL had good story telling.

WM25 predicted card:

HHH (c) vs Orton
Edge (c) vs Cena
HBK vs Taker
MITB (of course)

Thats what i reckon will happnen as of now.

Like it if it does.

A trade is gonna happen Edge will go to Raw and or Triple H maybe he will come over to Raw. Maybe Randy Orton will go to Smackdown. No matter what here are my predictions for Wrestlemania Triple H vs Randy Orton hopefully edge vs rey for the other title. I don't want to see Edge vs Cena at Wrestlemania they have wrestled enough. Undertaker vs HBK. that i would love too see. Jericho vs Austin I don't want it against Flair or maybe he will fight Rourke. Jack Swagger vs Christian the rest I'm not sure as right now.

Triple H is the greatest I mean he's held the titles more times than Steamboat,Michaels And Bret Hart combined. The Chamber Matches were pretty good but all the titles changing after mere weeks of people holding the title imo devalues the title. I mean Jeff Hardy held the title for threee weeks and Edge wins it and holds it for a few weeks before the wizard of schnozz gets it back. I am not Cena fan but he should have held on to the title until Wrestlemania and then drop it to Orton. Instead Edge gets the Raw title after losing in 2 minutes in the Smackdown elimination Chamber. Edge has what 8 title reigns and he's held the title about a combined 16 months. Nice of SuperShane McHogan to let Orton win after Shane dominated Orton and his two buddies for 90% of the match. Orton came out of the match no better than he went in and I fear that Godawful feud might no be over. The Ecw title match was a real snozzer. Imo the Jbl match was probably Shawn Michaels' worst ppv singles match maybe ever(which tells you how bad JBL is) In conclusion this ppv was very good from an in ring component but can't say I liked the booking of the show.

Like I said in the live coverage comments, "It's Vince's world. We just mark in it."

PPV was awesome. Wrestlemania is actually exciting instead of being predictable. And all bow down to the King of Kings.

And I don't know how said it, but he hit the nail right on the head with "To all you crying about Triple H passing Flair in titles, does that make Flair any less great?"

SOMEONE FINALLY GETS IT!

HHH in a title match at Wrestlemania... surprise surprise... I just want Orton to RKO the crap out of him and start the era of Orton truly alongside legacy.

As for Edge v Cena at Mania yep.. seen a bazillion times no interest who wins because whatever happens Edge will somehow win a title back probably the same night...

Don't be surprised if he loses to Cena (who will proceed to hold the belt for over year) in the opening match at Mania, wins MITB then spears HHH to win the WWE title at the end of Mania.

good job by wwe by adding some spice to the raw chamber BUT really...Edge? if u ask me, this was russo-esque and before anyone goes crazy, i'm saying that in the sense that it has so many turns and swerves. To me Edge's legacy as a champion is somewhat tarnished being the reason that he's never won a championship without a swerve. Don't get me wrong, he's great though. Didn't get a chance to see the sd chamber but i have a strong feeling that it was really good. Sd title in 3 months-HHH loses to jeff, Jeff wins and loses in 1st title reign, Edge wins and loses in 1st title reign to the almighty HHH, who just let those guys keep HIS belt warm. I sure hope that Edge winning doesn't set up Edge-Cena for the umpteenth time. They did a good job overall but it'd be nice to see something fresh for wm, with that being said the matches haven't been annonuced yet so i'll just wait and see what happens

Vickie is gonna be the new GM of RAW with Shane dead, and Steph needing to step down. Edge will run RAW with the World Title, and Orton will goto Smackdown.

I'll bet 5 pesos we get a "trade" tomorrow night. Cena goes to Smackdown and HHH and the spinner belt come to RAW. I give this PPV a solid 7.5 out of 10. Finlay/Swagger did nothing for me and Orton/Super Shane made Orton look a little weak even though he won. Super Cena losing gave this the extra .5

Posted By: Guest#5348 (Guest)  on February 16, 2009 at 12:35 AM

It's too bad Shane can't have all his matches edited and cut up to music, then he would actually look competent. What's the best way to push Randy? Put him in a match against Shane "Shadowboxer" McMahon and all his gayness. What a joke.

Posted By: evil (Guest)  on February 16, 2009 at 12:38 AM

there's no question he's going to get to (at least) 20, but in the grand scheme of things, with the frequency titles change hands now, it's not the same. Beyond that, it's all HHH will have, because just in this era alone in terms of impact on the industry, he's behind at least Austin, Foley Rock, HBK,Bret and Undertaker

Posted By: jb (Guest)  on February 16, 2009 at 12:43 AM

No Way Out wsn't a sellout..How much of the crowd was "papered"...EC matches predictable, since HHH and edge are champions!!! So your main event of WMXXV will be either Orton/edge or Orton/HHH

"Has anyone but Kane kicked out of that? Well, Hogan did. Probably."

Yep, Hogan did, and Batista did, too. Edge did at Mania last year, but that doesn't really count because the ref was knocked out and he had a pretty long time to recover.

Didn't watch the PPV, but the booking sounds lame. Once the first match was over, the Edge swerve was inevitable, given his track record of only winning titles by nefarious means. Once he took out Kofi, it was painfully obvious he was going to win the second EC. The sorry booking can still be redeemed, but only if the title change isn't upheld. Otherwise, it's just stupid to have qualifying matches when you can just beat the hell out of a guy and take his spot in a match. It's not the hardcore title.

Ah well, if they go with Cena/Edge @ WM25, I'll be pleased. That's always a good match-up. (Sounds like the all the heat would be on a Kofi/Edge feud, though, not that that's going to happen.) Triple H/Orton? Not so much. I don't think they're capable of a very good match together.

So it's...

Cena/Edge
Triple H/Orton
HBK/Taker
Jeff/Matt
Christian/Swagger
The Nature Rattlesnake Mickey Rourke/Y2J
$itB

...at the very least. I'll take it!

lots of people have kicked out hell it took 3 to pin Kane and HHH did not kick out he got a rope break any way awesome PPv

Elimination Chamber Match: Edge © vs. HHH vs. The Big Show vs. The Undertaker vs. Vladimir Kozlov vs. Jeff Hardy **** good match 1st 10 mins laged but once Kozlov was gone it got good

Shane McMahon vs. Randy Orton *** 1/2 was a nice little hadcore match I tought randy was really hurt at the end

ECW Title Match: Finlay vs. Jack Swagger N/R missed the whole thing

All or Nothing: Shawn Michaels vs. JBL ** okay match

Elimination Chamber Match: John Cena © vs. Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Edge vs. Mike Knox vs. Kane **** 1/2 was another awesome match and Rey looked awesome

Good green hell, not only does the WWE Title change for the third time in three PPVs...but conveniently it lands back on HHH's waist just in time for the big daddy of the PPVs.

Honestly, that makes Edge's past two reigns and Jeff's reign look worthless and completely transitional, just so HHH could 1)have reason to main event WM yet again, and 2) pad the title count. HHH was probably the least compelling of the 4 who could have conceivably walked out to take the title to 'Mania.

Gotta give WWE their props, they were unpredictable AND made 5 matches work. Kudos. The chamber matches were great and everything else was okay. Overall damn fine show.

Now jackass quit rubbing the fact that WWE wasn't predictable in our fucking faces. WE ARE HAPPY!! (Unless you hate HHH)

Posted By: Guest#9845 (Guest)  on February 16, 2009 at 01:02 AM

Actually this PPV was only somewhat unpredictable. The World Heavyweight Championship Chamber match wasn't that unpredictable. While Edge getting in was a surprise, it was still obviously either Cena or Edge, and the second Cena got eliminated, it became even more so. As well, it was a no brainier that HBK would win, as well as Swagger and Orton. The WWE Championship Chamber match however was the true wild card, as most of them seem to be viable options, the only one who really didn't was Big Show.

The reason why the WWE draws all the fans in including the haters/trolls is b/c of stuff like this. Just when you think you know WWE you just simply don't.

Don't fool yourself and say you knew this was coming. Unless you're an employee of the WWE or had the inside scoop from the arena. You didn't know alright so shut f*ck up!

EDGE on Raw = 4.0 cable rating for Raw tomorrow.

Glad to see the title change hands, but hopefully Cena is still involved with one of the main events at WM 25.

First off, it was a foolish move to just have the refs shrug and let him in the match, but to not address anything with Stephanie McMahon backstage is fuckin stupid. Survivor Series had Edge returning and winning the title before that at the Royal rumble with Cena returning early and wm24 with Cena keeping the title. Hell and tonight too many surprises and not enough entertainment

Props to the WWE for putting a good show. 5 matches in 3 hours? I always thought EC matches should be very long, so it makes sense.

WM is looking pretty good:
-HBK vs. Taker
-HHH vs. Orton
-Edge vs. Cena
-Swagger vs. Christian
-Matt vs. Jeff
all seem like locks now.

Why not add these:
-Punk vs. Rey vs. Kofi vs. Regal
-JBL promo w/Austin appearance
-MitB

It will be a good show.

I was at the event tonight. I have been to Wrestlemania 19 and a handful of RAW's, Smackdowns, and House shows and thios was by far the best event I have seen live.

The only match that sucked was the Swagger/Finlay match. For those of you who have a problem with HHH winning, it is not my favorite choice either, but it was a great match. Sets up some interesting possibilities for Mania.

The other chamber match was awesome as well. Edge was a welcome addition from the live crowd. I can see the net feels this was "Russo-esque", but what we got was a genuine surprise, in a great match, that adds intrigue to the television this week. When has TNA ever had those elements? Not only that but Rey rehabed his image a bit getting to the end of the match.

The JBL/HBK match was a cookie cutter match. Typical HBK but that isn't a bad thing. I have seen better matches but it served it's purpose.

The Shane O'Mac/Orton was good too. Some good risks being taken. I would always prefer a wrestler be in Shane's spot but it was a good effort.

don't know how unpredictable I found this PPV. Biggest surprises: Edge and Cena eliminated so quick. Other than that I wasn't all that surprised tonight. Edge inserting himself has been done before so even that isn't so much surprising as it is a moment that makes you go 1.) oh THAT'S why he lost so quick and 2.) you knew he was going to win from that point on.

this is pure bullshit. why in the fuck did they take the title of Jeff Hardy and give it to Edge? then take it off Edge and give it to HHH ? then just for the hell of it move Edge to Raw and just hand his worthless fucking ass yet another title.

i want to know who in the hell he is blowing. he sucks as a wrestler. he blows on the mic and yet he has been given 8 world titles. there are way more talented guys who should be give title shots before this waste of space jack off.

1. CM Punk
2. Kofi Kingston
3. R-Truth
4. Mr. Kennedy
5. Jeff hardy - longer run

all should be given a shot at a world title before Edge.

WTF!!! Edge is the new World Champ? Everyone talks about Trips being the "golden" son, but I've got a theory myself. We all know that Edge likes the "older" ladies, so my thinking, he wanted more power and is sacking LINDA MCMAHON!!!!! I mean how else can he get away with jumping show's and winning the World title in a Raw Elimination Chamber? Sorry HHH, Edge just one upped you and maybe you'll be calling him Daddy in law?? lol!!!!

As for Shane taking it to Orton, I anticipated that, but it still pisses me off because Shane is a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE worker and Orton is so hot right now. I'd have rather had Orton squash Shane on Raw than be force fed Shane being sold as some tough guy. I've never bought it and I never will...maybe it's the dumb dance coupled with the grey side burns.

Shane holding his own with Randy tonight was truly unbelievable, ridiculous, and a setback to the strength of Orton's character. Shane should have been completely destroyed with little to no offense! What is wrong with Vince for allowing this to happen?

Dear Michael Cole,

When you are continually outwitted by someone as dense as Jerrystupidlawler (to the point that he has to remind the show you work on), it may be time to consider your career options. Oh my!

Lots of love,

Samee, the problem I see with your scenario is that Hunter has lost the last several Wrestlemanias in a row, so I know he wants to go over this year. Triple H will go to Raw and face Blandy at Wrestlemania. The McMahon will do a Wrestlemania 16 like farce and put themselves all over the match. What I fear is going to happen is Hunter turning heel after putting himself over at Wrestlemania to take over the Legacy along with Nipple H and restart the gay McMahon Helmsley Era that sucked 10 years ago

Posted By: Hot Pocket (Guest) on February 16, 2009 at 01:16 AM
I smell another 3.4 rating. Smackdown can barely crack a 2.0 these days. As far as the trolls yeahg whatever the booking was moronic.

fuck HHH And shane they ruined a great ppv. Agreed with graves worst HBK ppv singles match ever. Fire Lawler and have JBL replace him in the broadcast table.

Wow pretty good. I think alot of people predicted Edge and Trips winning, but no one predicted both. I liked Edge and Cena losing their titles early in those matches.

So WM will have Edge vs. Cena and Trips vs. Orton. Can anybody deny these are the top stars even if you hate them?

Can someone explain the me HOW did Edge get the go ahead to enter the Raw chamber?

And 8 title reigns in 3 years? WTF? Edge must make WWE more money then we think.

Other then that a really good show. The SD chamber was anyone's guess from the start and HHH/Taker stuff was just fun. Unfortuantley HHH is heading to ANOTHER wrestlemania. 8 World title matches since WM2000? Come the fuck on. I was as surprised as the next person but HHH in the ME AGAIN! I was gonna give the man props for keeping out of the title picture. Its not like he draws like Cena to where I can buy him being champ, its just fucking HHH for God's sake.

Bitching aside, lets get to the positive

Rey looked GREAT. I was impressed. 5 matches and they all worked and the chamber matches were nice and long. Overall great show, shitty booking.

I love how morons say well you didn't see it coming so it ruled. No if it made sense it would rule and nothing out of this as far as the Edge win goes makes sense but we shall see I hope WWE gets that right.

I see all the hate on HHH. I wish I hated him too. I just am totally apathetic to him. He doesnt have much of a persoanlity, and hasnt changed character since he was the snobby european guy. He's kinda like cena, just someone on the card. Hard for me to pull for or against. These guys just dont bring much to the match, whomever they are fighting. A strict contrast to guys like Jericho, Edge, and HBK. Gotta admit Ortons kinda growing on me as well. F-SHANE

Quote WWE.com:

"Tracing the evening’s progression, from opening match to final moments, the first man pinned was ultimately the last man standing – a testament to the unpredictability of WWE. The most intriguing fact behind the mayhem, however, is that the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania is a mere six weeks away and the two top titles in WWE now belong to the Friday night brand. With newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion Edge and WWE Champion Triple H sharing the SmackDown stage, just how erratic will the Road to WrestleMania get?"

First off it was ignorant, but apparently Edge isn't trading off to RAW. My guess is Orton undisputed at WM25

Ecw title match was total gayness,it sucked, which is horrible cause finlay and swagger put in a better match 2 weeks ago!!!!!

I say Finlay is gonna turn on hornswoggle on Tuesday (Finlay v Hornswoggle at mania lol)

First chamber sucked, No holds barred was the shit (in a good way),Jbl v shawn was ok but the RAW chamber was worth every penny ,EDGE EDGE EDGE EDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if he will face RVD or was that just a one shot deal???

What joy another boring Triple H title run. If only he could put the ego in check, realise that he's no Ric Flair and starting doing what he should be doing at this stage of his career, and that's putting other people over.

Triple H is the most over-rated wrestler in the history of the wwe. the only reason he has been champ so many times is because he is banging the boss's daughter.think about this...boasting that someone is a 12 or 13 time chapion...big deal...it means they have also lost the title 11 or 12 times. what kind of winning percentage is that? a special thank you to wwe for saving me fifty bucks this year on WM 25 A.K.A. triple ((YAWN))) HHH as champ again.

Few issues:

- Firstly, no wonder HBK is broke....Whisper used up all his money paying for those BIG ASS silicon implants!

- They have to go with Cena/Edge and HHH/Orton at Wrestlemania - Cena v Orton would turn Cena heel, and they wouldn't allow that.

- Swagger looked nervous as hell, his timing was way off.

You know - normally I'd have a serious problem with Shane McMahon mostly getting the better of several actual in-ring competitors with his ridiculous offence. But seeing as how Player 1, Player 2, and Player 3 are overhyped, generic nobodies with no talent or personality, it wasn't such a bad thing after all.

For the first time...ever...I regret not ordering No Way Out. Both Chambers sound tight, and Shane McMahon always brings it in a street fight. I fail to applaud Orton for that one because, well, he's Orton: he ALWAYS makes shit interesting, and has since the days of Rated RKO where he rediscovered the personality that began to shine in early '04.

People who have icked out of the Tombstone are as follows:

Taker himself.

Warrior: after a 10 second pose by Undertaker.

Hogan: After a 10 second pose by Taker, and then at Survivor Series he no sold it completely before Taker even was ale to pin him.

Batista: At Hell in the Cell.

Edge: At Wrestlemania 24 after in a ref bump count.

Kane: Twice in a row in 1998's Mania match.

Well, that's good news about the WHC situation (Cena loses, WHC back to Smackdown). Now all is left is bring the WWE title back to RAW, destroy the toy belt and bring in a NEW respectable belt. But the destruction and replacement of the toy belt might be asking too much at this point.

"Honestly, that makes Edge's past two reigns and Jeff's reign look worthless and completely transitional, just so HHH could 1)have reason to main event WM yet again, and 2) pad the title count. HHH was probably the least compelling of the 4 who could have conceivably walked out to take the title to 'Mania."

Um, I think the idea is to make your opponent look good so when you beat him, it makes you look even better.

If Orton went in and just dominated Shane O'Mac, how good would Orton have looked when he got the pin? Shane had to use weapons against Orton because he can't beat him up fair and square. I don't think Orton or Legacy looked weak when their nemesis has to use weapons.

1) Shane doesn't wrestle every week. And although he probably is buff and all that, from an audience's perspective, he probably wouldn't have as strict of a training regime as someone that wrestling every week... like Orton. In other words, kendo stick or not, Orton should have leveled Shane in 9 seconds. Sure Shane has won gold in the past, but that was a horrible wwe mistake. Correct history. The McMahons and other random "non-wrestlers" shouldn't last long against the WWE's finest.

2) Just because Edge or some WWE wrestler wants to make up their own rules and join any given match on a whim, WWE refs should have tossed his butt. Doing this crap isn't controversal or exciting, WWE. It is just lazy storytelling. WWE creative got lazy and this seemed like a good idea. Wrong. Let's have the WWE officials put their foot down for once. OK?

Sure as hell didn't watch this PPV but after reading the recap I would say even the harshest critic would say this was decent. It certainly doesn't seem like it was a by-the-numbers, predictable PPV. The only negative I can see is goddammn HHH not jobbing.

Most of you people are nutz. Now its, title's change hands too quickly, but when JBL had it for almost a year in 04-05 and lost if to Cena who had it for over a year (minus Edge's MitB) all you did was complain how boring it was that they had it so long. Hell when Orton had it for 7 months, everyone couldn't wait for him to lose it. It was like...when are we going to get something new?
ad EDGE RULES! I certainly hope he breaks Flair's record...I don't care of he breaks in this year, It will be his! Edge RULES!! How long does anyone hold the title anymore, HHH, Batista, Undertaker, HBK. We are in a quick fix society. Once someone holds the title for 3-4 months you all get bored with them.

Honestly I like how everyone is predicting the match card for WM25. It's too early to tell whats going to happen in my opinion. We got seven more weeks till mania. WWE swerved us and our predictions for No Way Out.. IWC, just sit back, relax, and watch the road to Wrestlemania.

Wow, what a PPV! Wish I could have seen it.

To make Edge's RAW Chamber win stick, Edge could have made a deal with Stephanie in which he gets (got) to be in the match and in return he'd take out Orton. This would be as a result of Vickie pissing off Edge. Edge and Orton were partners not that long ago, and he could easily say he knows Randy more than anybody else, and would do anything to be champ.

This would keep us from having to see Edge vs. Cena and HHH vs. Orton all over again.

But before sulking over HHH winning the title, I just hope that if it is indeed HHH vs. Orton at WM, that HHH puts Orton over CLEANLY.

WWE needs to have a heel that the fans believe has a chance of beating Cena, HHH, and Undertaker.

Haha. Orton looked like he'd been mugged, not like your typical bladejob. That must have been legit. Take that kiddies.
To be honest, everyone was bitching about how predictable this was gonna be and now it wasn't they're bitching even more. Such are the lying, hypocrite sycophants that write in here. No I'm not Chris Jericho. All the 411 writers took this completely for granted. Check out their predictions. Everyone though Cena would stroll through his. I honestly thought they'd have given it back to Jericho and had him take on Michaels w/Flair at Mania and Orton vs Triple H.
Don't worry about the Word Titles been devalued. Orton will get a long run. And hopefullt the Undertaker will. He hasn't had one since 1997. Remember in 1999 - Rock/Mankind/Rock/Austin (2 months). 2000 - Triple H/Rock/Triple H/Rock (3 months). 2001 - Austin/Angle/Austin/Jericho (3 months). 2002 - Hogan/Undertaker/Rock/Lesnar (3 months). Quick changes haven't just shown up out of the blue.

I'm calling for Mania:

Triple H VS John Cena VS Undertaker
(Cena traded to Smackdown for Edge)

Edge VS HBK
(Hometown shot for Michaels)

Orton & Legacy VS Shane & Vince Street Fight

Vince bills it as a Triple Main event, hence he can claim Orton is in The Main Event at Wrestlemania.

Posted By: Cock Knocker (Guest)  on February 16, 2009 at 04:20 PM

Actually, thinking about the MyNetwork crap with Smackdown and the possibility Vince may cut his losses with it, Mania could and in fact should 0be:

Edge V Triple H V Orton
Undisputed Championship

Cena V Undertaker
(Heel Cena after being screwed at the Chamber wants to end the streak of The Deadman)

Jericho V Mysterio

Hardy V Hardy

MITB with Unified IC & US Titles also on the line - WINNER TAKES ALL - CM Punk, Shelton Benjamin, MVP, Mr Kennedy, Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne, Killings, HBK.

HBK wins the lot in his home town.

MNM2 VS Colons VS CrymeTime VS Kane & Knox - World Titles / WWE Tag Titles unification.

Christian VS Swagger ECW Title

Wishful thinking, unless the WWE wants to keep up with the last 4 months worth of surprises trend.

No Lo Down I get a bigger kick out of how lame of an idea this is. What makes me laugh harder is the WWE marks using the unpredictable nature when anyone with a brain knew when Edge came out he was winning and really him having the title sets up what exactly another Cena match? Come on one intelligent idea. This is what Russo did in WCW and it always was lame and I hated him for it.

well that ppv was a shocker i would have thought edge would retain and end up face trip at mania. i also thought that teh smackdown chamber would close the show due to it being more star studded teh whosle shwo was great excpet for the ecw match which no one cared for if christain showed up then maybe fnas would have cared. but edge is makign history in wwe the only man to compete in 2 chamber matches in one night and in 4 years he's already an 8 time champ cena lost finally but sadly he's gon lose the belt back to cena at mania which menas that cena is comming to smackdown which would be good and gives smackdown a fresher look. i would have figured h would wehn go back to raw cuz ya kno eh couldn't keep his big nose out the raw locker room n he misses puttin other people down. so i'm sensing this years mania would be very good

THANK YOU!! This is exactly what bothers me about WWE! Yes, it was something that was INCREDIBLY unpredictable...but that doesn't mean that it makes sense when they are supposed to be rules of the matches. First of all, Kofi was the legal man in the match (they do contract signings for so many matches, are we not to believe that they do if for ALL of them)...so how is Edge just able to beat someone down and take their place if they haven't signed a contract. I can understand if maybe he went to Vickie and she went to Stephanie and they "traded" him or something (since the brand split has been worthless for a long time now), but being traded to a show doesn't mean you can beat people up into getting into the main event and making it stick. And if Edge DIDN'T get traded, then that's just a million times worse and goes against all the rules...so if the rules don't matter, why would ANY of the wrestlers follow them??

"Edge again!!! Yawn yawn yawn. Are they so desperate for ratings that they keep pushing him"

IWC, take note. Edge is not over! End of story.

WWE sure loves their bait-and-switches.

It seems they're trying to harken back to the glory days of the Attitude Era. I understand they're trying to be all unpredictable, but this cound end up frustrating and alienating viewers.

I hope HHH doesn't make Orton his bitch again. Along with that, Cena/Edge is another match we've already seen, although I have faith they can make both matches fresh again. Hopefully...

And boy, is Edge their go-to guy or what? Although I find it a little weird that when they're trying to go PG they're turning to a guy called the Rated-R Superstar....

2002 called, they want their bitching back.

"I thought all you whiny bitches said this would be predictable. HA HA HA HA, WWE fooled you all again."

Well considering 4/5 matches were predicted EXACTLY right like I recall reading from posters, one would think 80% = an overall predictable card.

"IWC, take note. Edge is not over! End of story."

The live crowd sure thought he was over. The only heel that got more heat was Jericho during his interview, but I heard that did not come through on TV.

Look for all you people bitching about the booking, let;s see where they go with it.

HHH will go to Raw...he was at the Raw show last week in Oakland.

There's no way they send Edge to Raw and Orton to Smackdown. That would kill the Raw ratings.

First of all long live Edge. I love it. For those of you saying this was predictable, you are flat out liars. Oh and to answer someone's question. Why did they take the title off of Jeff. They don't trust him.

For those of you who say Edge is doing the same thing as the Triple H, that is a damn lie and do you know why? Because Edge actually gets pinned in world title matches. Look no further than last night.

You people just can't be pleased. A person holds a title too long he is a Triple H, a person wins a title numerous times in an era where the title gets passed around like a pack of cigarettes in prison he is still Triple H.
Bottom line your hate...

Leave it all behind.

I can't complain. That show was just all kinds of awesome.

Cena = bitch.

EDGE = awesome greatness!

A little bit of "Hidden Highlights" wishful thinking here...

Exactly how awesome would it have been if, the first time the pods were to open in the main event, the graph still showed "KOFI" over the pod where Edge was standing. The second time around, they'd have changed it to read "EDGE", but in a different font, to imply a rush job...

Sigh. Details, details, details. One can wish.
