Jeff Jarrett opens the show telling us that women are only good for cooking, cleaning and making babies. Jarrett has a thousand pounds and wants a lady in attendance to prove his point. He rips on some of the ladies and picks a woman out of the first row. Jarrett has a vacuum in the ring and puts some dirt on the floor. The woman vacuums but Jarrett notes that she is missing a lot of it. She is obviously a plant as Jarrett shoves her down and puts the figure four on her! Chyna runs down and attacks Jarrett! Chyna ends up sending Jarrett to the floor with a clothesline.

Opening Contest: WWF Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett vs. WWF European Champion D’Lo Brown: A coin flip determines which championship will be on the line and it just so happens to be Jarrett’s championship! Brown opens up with a leaping forearm shot and a snap powerslam for a near fall. Brown gets another two count with a sit out spinebuster. Jarrett bails to the floor to regroup and looks to leave with his championship. D’Lo runs up the aisle way to get Jarrett and hammers away on the champ. Jeff locks in a sleeper hold to get his first offensive control. Brown gets out of it and drops Jarrett with a vertical suplex. Jarrett gets control with a dropkick and chokes D’Lo over the middle rope. Brown misses a splash in the corner and Jarrett hits a tornado arm breaker from off the middle rope! D’Lo hits a sit down powerbomb but can’t follow up quickly enough to make a cover. Brown connects with a tilt a whirl slam and a spin kick. Brown gets a two count after a leg drop. Brown counters a roll up but sitting down for a two count. Brown hits a superplex but Jarrett nearly trapped D’Lo in a pin attempt. Brown avoids the figure four by sending Jarrett to the floor. Miss Kitty gets on the apron and Jarrett nails D’Lo with a vacuum cleaner to win the match! (**1/2. An enjoyable match as they put on a good showing for a six minute match. I thought some of the near falls were nicely done. I’m willing to bet this is a rare match in the sense that a vacuum cleaner was used to win the match.) After the match, Jarrett gets on the microphone and challenges Chyna to a match later on tonight!

Second Contest: The Godfather vs. Gangrel: Godfather starts off with a clothesline on Gangrel after blocking a hip toss. Gangrel plants Godfather with a DDT, which is close to his finisher, but doesn’t cover the pimp. Gangrel kicks Godfather on the back and keeps his offense simple. Gangrel hits a clothesline from off the middle rope for a near fall. Gangrel misses a leaping forearm smash and Godfather delivers right hands. Godfather makes his comeback with a scoop slam and leg drop but can’t keep Gangrel down. Godfather splashes Gangrel in the corner and hits the Pimp Drop to win the match. (*. A quick match that wasn’t overly interesting, really.)

Backstage, Michael Cole asks if Chyna accepts the challenge. Obviously, Chyna accepts the challenge. She thinks that Jarrett has vagina envy. She is going to mop up the floor with Jarrett. The British Bulldog enters the scene and says that the fans came to see him and not her. Bulldog wants his title shot and is going to demand he gets it tonight.

Third Contest: Mark Henry vs. Val Venis: Val opens up with a few right hands and attempts a clothesline but Henry powerslams Val instead. Henry is backdropped over the top to the floor and Val hits a baseball slide. Venis tries to slam Henry on the floor but Mark weighs too much and drops Val throat first across the guard railing. Venis fights back with a dropkick but that only staggers Henry. Henry misses a splash in the corner and Venis connects with a side Russian leg sweep for a near fall. Val avoids a gorilla press slam with a school boy for a two count. Venis hits a running bulldog and drops a series of elbows. Val hits the Money Shot to win the match. (1/2*. Well, that was basically just an extended squash match for Venis. Nothing to see here, really.)

Backstage, the British Bulldog confronts the McMahon’s and wants his title shot tonight. Vince McMahon tells Bulldog he already had his championship match. Bulldog tosses a trash can. Uh oh, the trash can hit Stephanie McMahon! The Bulldog is going nuts! Give the man a title shot!

Fourth Contest: WWF Women’s Champion Ivory vs. Luna Vachon vs. Tori vs. Jacqueline: These were given less than three minutes to do anything. The finish saw Ivory pin Jacqueline after hitting her with the championship.

Fifth Contest: WWF World Tag Team Champion Road Dogg vs. Chris Jericho: Dogg attacks Jericho on the floor before the match starts to get the quick advantage. They brawl on the floor with Dogg punching Jericho into the crowd and leaps off the railing to deliver a double axe handle. Dogg sends Jericho gut first into the railing before returning to the ring where Jericho stomps away on the champ. Dogg drops Jericho throat first across the top rope to regain control and delivers a few martial arts kicks in the corner. Jericho clotheslines Dogg in the corner. Jericho gets trapped in the corner and Dogg hits a dropkick. Dogg is knocked off the apron after Jericho springboards off the ropes to deliver a dropkick. Mr. Hughes punches Dogg on the floor to get a cheap shot in. Jericho brings Dogg back in with a suplex and goes for a cocky pin. Jericho gets a near fall following a slingshot splash from the apron. Jericho almost wins following a springboard bulldog! Dogg crotches Jericho on the top rope and hits a superplex! Dogg follows up with a swinging neck breaker but Jericho pops his shoulder up at two! Jericho attempts the Walls of Jericho but Dogg twists out of it. Jericho ducks a clothesline and hits a German suplex only to miss a springboard moonsault. Dogg jabs Jericho several times but accidentally nails the referee with a forearm shot. Dogg knee drops Jericho but Hughes enters with a steel chair and whacks him over the back. Jericho covers Dogg but can’t get the win! Dogg battles back with forearms but Jericho low blows Dogg when the referee is distracted and that’s good enough for the win! (**3/4. A good match here which surprised me. I wasn’t expecting Road Dogg to provide anything memorable here but he did a good job with Jericho. Some nice action throughout and the fans were into it.)

Sixth Contest: WWF Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett vs. Chyna: Jarrett attacks Chyna before the bell with right hands. Chyna quickly clotheslines Jarrett and drops the champ with a shoulder block. Jarrett leaps off the middle rope but is met with a low blow. Chyna attempts the pedigree but Jarrett counters by sending Chyna into a corner. Chyna drives Jarrett down to the canvas with an electric chair slam. The British Bulldog enters the ring and attacks Chyna to cause the disqualification. Bulldog hits the running powerslam as the fans boo their former hero. Jarrett locks in the figure four until several officials come out to break that up.

Seventh Contest: The Big Show vs. Kane in a no disqualification match: Big Show dropkicks Kane to the floor early on but Kane drops Show throat first across the top rope from the apron. Show rams his knee into Kane’s midsection several times. Kane fights back with a dropkick and attempts a scoop slam but to no avail. Show drives Kane down to the canvas for a near fall. Show works over Kane with an elbow strike and a headbutt shot. Show connects with a backbreaker as well. Kane blocks a chop and hammers away on Show. Kane is sent chest first into the corner and Show hits a reverse DDT for a near fall. Show puts a Boston Crab on Kane but that doesn’t get him a submission. Kane tries for a scoop slam but Show weighs too much. Kane plants Show with a DDT after running the ropes and goes to the top rope. Kane hits a clothesline but Show blocks a choke slam attempt. Show sends Kane shoulder first into the ring steps. Show grabs a chair on the floor but Kane kicks the chair into Show’s face and finally scoop slams Show for the win! (*. Well, that was painfully slow and uninteresting for a no disqualification match. That wasn’t totally surprising since most big man vs. big man matches are never overly entertaining or anything.)

Backstage, Michael Cole is with the WWF World Champion Triple H. Triple H doesn’t care about anyone other than the WWF World Championship. He has beaten the Rock from one side of the planet to the other. He thinks that Rock will have better luck finding a full set of teeth in the crowd instead of beating him for the championship tonight!

Eighth Contest: X-Pac vs. the British Bulldog: Bulldog uses his size advantage to casually toss Pac down to the canvas early on. Pac showcases his quickness with an arm drag. Bulldog slams Pac down to the canvas after countering a spin kick attempt. Bulldog tosses Pac to the floor and sends him into the guard railing head first. Bulldog hits a delayed vertical suplex for a near fall. Bulldog stops Pac on his comeback with a knee lift. Pac nails Bulldog with a spinning heel kick after getting out of a sleeper hold. Pac continues to deliver spin kicks and hits the Bronco Buster! Bulldog drops Pac groin first across the top rope and hits the running powerslam to win the match! (**. Not too bad here. I’m actually liking the push that Bulldog is getting. I don’t recall much of his 1999 run, but he looks like he can still go and was getting some good heat. Then again, X-Pac has made a career of making people look better than they actually were.)

Backstage, Hardcore Holly runs into his cousin Crash Holly, who was weighing himself. Crash is explaining Hardcore the differences between pounds and stones.

Ninth Contest: Edge & Christian vs. The Acolytes vs. Hardcore & Crash Holly: Hardcore and Edge start the triple threat number one contenders match. Edge backdrops Hardcore and follows up with a spinning heel kick. Hardcore puts a stop to Edge’s offense with a dropkick. Crash is dropped across the middle rope and Christian hits a top rope crossbody but Crash rolls through for a near fall. Christian plants Crash down to the canvas chest first. Hardcore gets tagged in and is power slammed by Faarooq for a near fall. Faarooq tried the Dominator but Hardcore gets out to hit a back suplex. Hardcore saves Crash from being powerbombed by Bradshaw. Crash gets crotched on the top rope by Faarooq and Bradshaw hit a top rope back suplex! Hardcore plants Bradshaw with a vertical suplex. Hardcore clotheslines Faarooq over the top to the floor. Bradshaw attempts a powerbomb but clotheslines Crash instead and pins Crash to eliminate them. Edge nearly pins Bradshaw with a dropkick off the top! Edge hits a swinging neck breaker and hits a double shoulder block with Christian on Bradshaw. Bradshaw big boots Edge to keep the advantage. Edge hits a spinning heel kick on Faarooq but can’t follow up. Edge gets out of a powerbomb with a backdrop on Bradshaw. Bradshaw catches Christian and hits a fall away slam. Faarooq kicks Christian a few times and slows the match down with a bear hug. Faarooq plants Christian with a spinebuster for a near fall. Christian is met with a spinebuster again from Bradshaw. Faarooq is driven face first down into the canvas by Christian. Faarooq goes for the Dominator but Christian gets out and plants him with a DDT instead! Edge dropkicks Bradshaw and Faarooq with Christian. Bradshaw knocks Edge out with a clothesline but can’t get a three count thanks to Christian. Edge spikes Bradshaw with a tornado DDT off the middle rope to win the match. (**1/2. A fine match here with the finish kind of feeling anti-climatic.)

Main Event: WWF World Champion Triple H vs. The Rock in a steel cage match: For those who are wondering, the cage is the old school looking cage, but it’s not blue. Instead, it’s black. I don’t know why I pointed that out, but there you go. The only way to win the match is to escape the cage. Rock hammers away on HHH to open the match. HHH blocks a backdrop attempt with a kick to the chest and comes back with right hands of his own. Rock drops HHH with a right hand and is met with an back elbow from HHH. Rock stops HHH from escaping the cage. Rock clotheslines HHH to keep the advantage in his favor. Rock decides to climb up the cage but instead leaps off the middle rope only to be punched in the midsection by HHH. Rock comes off the ropes and is met with a high knee lift. Rock connects with a swinging neckbreaker to drop the champ and begins to climb the cage, but HHH yanks Rock down. HHH sends Rock head first into the cage. HHH rams the back of the Rock’s head into the cage. Rock connects with a Samoan Drop and both men are down. HHH regroups to hit Rock with a clothesline. HHH tries to escape the cage but Rock prevents him from doing so by slamming HHH off the top! Rock is on the other side of the cage but HHH is able to pull Rocky back into the ring. They are standing on the top rope trading right hands but they crotch each other! Rock catches HHH leaping off the top rope and hits the Rock Bottom! Rock doesn’t make much progress trying to climb out as HHH hits a back suplex. Rock hits a powerslam as HHH comes off the ropes. HHH blocks a second Rock Bottom attempt and hits the pedigree but both men are down again! HHH looks to exit through the door but Rock grabs his leg. HHH has gotten a chair but the referee prevents HHH from using it! Rock punches Rock who takes the referee out! Rock has exited the cage! Wait, there isn’t a referee though. They are both on the floor now. HHH knocks Rock into the crowd and they begin to fight in the crowd briefly. Rock drives HHH back first across the guard railing. Rock grabs a steel chair and whacks HHH over the head with it. That causes HHH to be busted open. Rock jumps off the cage to crash through HHH on the announcers table. Rock took maybe one step up, so it wasn’t anything major. They return to the ring and Rock sends HHH into the cage face first. Rock plants HHH with a DDT as the referee begins to stir on the floor. Rocky begins to climb up the cage but the British Bulldog runs down and attacks Rock. Bulldog tosses Rock back over the cage and into the ring. Shane McMahon runs out and begins to fight with Bulldog! Bulldog powerslams Shane on the floor! Gerald Briscoe and Pat Patterson run out but Bulldog takes them out with blows as well. Bulldog decides to enter the cage. Rock low blows Bulldog and hits the Rock Bottom on HHH! Rock is crawling towards the door but Chyna runs out and slams the door on Rock’s head! HHH is climbing the cage but Rock is already back up from that. Rock has HHH’s hair and is able to prevent HHH from escaping! Chyna climbs the cage as well but Rock knocks her down with a right hand. Bulldog is yanking on Rock and attacks him in the ring. That allows HHH to hit the floor and retains the championship. Bulldog powerslams Rock in the ring again. After the match, Vince McMahon comes out and locks the cage door. McMahon is allowing Rock to get revenge on Bulldog! Rock hits the Rock Bottom on the Bulldog and follows that up with the People’s Elbow! (***1/4. A good cage match that was hindered by a lot of interference. Rock and HHH always have always had good chemistry so they were able to close the show on a rather strong note.)

The 411: Well, I'm going to consider this a slightly below average show. Really there were only three matches that provided consistent entertainment being the opener, Dogg/Jericho and the main event. Everything else was uninteresting for the most part. I also enjoyed how they booked the British Bulldog here. It makes me wonder how far he could've gone during this run had he not left in early 2000, again. Rebellion gets a thumbs down overall, though.
