Kayfabe! YouShoot with Amazing Kong

KAYFABE!
YOUSHOOT w/ AMAZING KONG

The thing that stands out the most with this particular YouShoot is the huge difference between the wrestler, Kong, and the person, Kia Stevens. Granted the wine may have had something to do with it, but it’s obvious that Kia was having a good time doing the interview, and as a result, it’s a lot of fun to watch. There are plenty of funny moments. One of the questions is about her favorite sexual position, and she just pulls up a chair, and uses Sean to help her demonstrate it. There’s are another funny part when someone asks about how big Batista’s dick is (which is actually a somewhat recurring question) and she says that she doesn’t know, and that they need to ask, and then she stops herself from blurting out the name. Sean, who has always been one for funny comments and comebacks says “Give her another glass of wine!” One of the questions that comes up is the fact that, when Vince Russo played ‘What’s in the bag?’ he picked her for the big black dildo, and she seems shocked. So, when it’s time to play F-Marry-Kill, with Russo, Cornette, and Sean, she kills Russo for making that comment. Another funny bit is a question about sex, and she says that she already knows she’s going to hell for some of the stuff that her and her boyfriend do in bed.

The people who will get this just to hear her dish out dirt and to rip on both WWE and TNA are going to be in for a disappointment. Of course, the famous beating of Bubba the Love Sponge comes up, and she expresses some regret over it. Not regret over kicking his ass, but regret that she did it because she was upset with herself. She’d had some issues with Bubba and wanted to talk to him about it, but when she finally had the chance, she backed off it because Hogan was there. She was mad at herself over it, and when she saw Bubba, she just snapped. She does talk about Dixie Carter in some unflattering terms. Dixie has always been very nice to everyone’s faces, but has been known to make comments to the turn of “Let them sit home and starve.” There’s the question of if she ever got stiffed on a payday, and she has. It wasn’t some two-bit fly-by-night indy fed, who used her name to get 25 people into a bar, but the fine people at Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. But, for the most part, she seems to be trying to stay somewhat neutral, no doubt because she wants to go back to the WWE. She’s even apologetic to Vince Russo, saying that after Cornette and Dutch left, he was just spread too thin.

Quite a few names go into the ‘Ho Bag and the Dick Bag, and she very blunt out it, in most cases. Sean gets out the name “Reby Sky” and Kong shoots right back with “Ho.” There’s also the mugshot game, with the quick discussion (but not really explanation) of how her mugshot came to be. She rates the top three worst mugshots, with Matt Hardy’s being the worst (Note from Mike: How did neither she, nor HTM pick out Dan Spivey’s? Dude looks like he’s two steps from dead!). There’s also a new game called Sexy or Scary, which Sean shows different female wrestlers and Kong rates them as one or the other, but there’s nothing too shocking here either. In funny continuation from the Russo bashing about his naming her for What’s in the bag, when Sean pulls out the big black dildo she answers “Amazing Kong”.

The really good stuff to hear, if you’re like me and are all about the rasslin’ is hearing her talk about working in Japan, specifically the story about her nose getting broken by a stiff kick, as well as the story of her beating the piss out of a fan who was yelling racist stuff at her. But, the best story, to me, is how she got the name Amazing Kong. She was billed as A. Kong, so people would think it was Aja Kong (Note from Mike: for those who don’t know much about Japanese women’s wrestling, Aja Kong was a huge star in Japan), and then when it was her, nobody could claim it was falsely advertized. She was mad at first, thinking it was some kind of racist thing, but once it was explained her, she was fine with it. When she’s asked if she knew there used to be a wrestler called Awesome Kong in WCW, she says that she did, and that he was doing time, and she thinks TNA may have bought the rights to the name for her.

The 411: This isn't the most revealing interview that KC has done, but it's still way above Chyna's YouShoot, where she was obviously trying to stay in WWE's good graces, so she sidestepped everything. Like I said before, it was clear Kia was having a good time, and the result makes for a fun interview.
