Edge is at the top of the cage but Christian stops him again. Christian knocks Edge off and Edge falls on the top rope! Christian has a clear path to win the title and is on the other side of the cage, but Edge grabs his brother and yanks him groin first into the cage. Edge gets tape off his wrist and ties Christian’s ankles together! Christian is trapped and Edge climbs over the cage drops to the floor to win the match. (***. A fine cage match, though it didn’t have a big match feel nor did it really feel like a brutal encounter between these two. I felt like their feud would have warranted some blood and brutal spots, but instead it was a basic cage match here. So while it was a fine match, it left me disappointed.)

A video of Kurt Angle joining the Alliance is aired.

Backstage, Chavo Guerrero Jr. is going to interview the divas. Hugh Morrus comes over and says he is here to interview the divas. Morrus threatens Chavo, but they decide to interview them together. Trish Stratus is covered by a towel while being interviewed. Trish suggests they get Lita to be interviewed and she kicks them out.

Second Contest: the Hurricane vs. Scotty 2 Hotty: A basic start to the match with Hurricane taking Scotty down and taunting the fans. Scotty is dropped by Hurricane with a clothesline after brief offense. Hurricane tosses Scotty over the top but Hotty holds on and hammers away on Hurricane before hitting a head scissors and clothesline for a near fall. Scotty drives Hurricane down to the canvas face first and hits the WORM! Hotty covers and wins the match. (*1/2. It was what it was here, folks. Hotty has never really entertained me and Hurricane looked much better out of the two.)

Backstage, Trish is with Hugh and Chavo and tells them to wait. They decide to sneak into the locker-room anyway, where Lita is in her bra and panties changing. She seems them and tosses shoes at them. They leave happy with themselves.

Backstage, DDP welcomes us with his big smile. Page says England seems to be depressed and thinks that’s a good thing. Page says they can only go up from here. Page likes himself and the fans like. Page takes credit for that.

Third Contest: Diamond Dallas Page vs. the Big Show: Show clotheslines Page in the corner and follows up with a series of knee lifts. Page with right hands in the corner but is shoved away. Show shoulder blocks Page to the floor. Show press slams Page over the top rope into the ring. Page comes off the top and barely hits a clothesline. Page is clotheslined by Show after working on his knees. Show drops Page throat first across the top and went for the chokeslam but Page hit the diamond cutter! Page doesn’t cover for a few moments and when he does Page only gets a two count. Show grabs Page and hits the chokeslam to win the match. (*. A short and to the point match. To think a match between these two would have been a fairly big draw in WCW just a few years prior. Oh well, WCW guys continue to get buried.) After the match, Page says this was a good thing so he can leave the country.

Backstage, Hugh and Chavo walk into another locker room where Mighty Molly freaks out because she didn’t have her cape on.

Backstage, Shane McMahon is talking with Steve Austin and Kurt Angle. Austin says he is going to whip the Rock’s ass. Angle says he is going to beat Chris Jericho for the WCW World Championship tonight. Angle goes on to talk about them being knights in England. They are the good knights while the WWF guys are bad knights. Austin gets fed up with Angle and yells at him. Austin calls Angle pathetic.

Fourth Contest: WCW World Tag Team Champions the Dudley Boyz vs. APA vs. the Hardy Boyz in a triple threat elimination match: Bubba wants a piece of Matt Hardy to kick off the match and he gets his wish. D-Von hammers away on Jeff in the corner. Bubba rams Jeff into the announce table while the referee is distracted. D-Von with a snap powerslam but Jeff kicks out at two on the cover. Bubba with several shots on Jeff to keep the advantage in his favor. Jeff stops Bubba on the middle rope and hits a hurricanrana for a two count! Matt and D-Von get the hot tags with Matt getting the better of the exchange hitting a swinging neckbreaker and a DDT on Bubba. Matt gets a two count on D-Von after a middle rope leg drop. Poetry in Motion on Bubba! Jeff misses another one as D-Von moved out of the corner. Jeff misses the Swanton Bomb! Matt can’t hit the Twist of Fate and we see the 3D to finish the match. (***1/4. An enjoyable tag team match between three of the best teams the WWF has to offer at the time. Even the time that the APA was in the match, it was good action. I think everyone was looking forward to just seeing the Dudley’s and Hardy’s go at it and for the few moments they did, they put on a good showing.)

Backstage, Vince McMahon, The Rock and WCW World Champion Chris Jericho are sitting down. McMahon brought them in to bury the hatchet and says team WWF needs to beat the Alliance. Vince isn’t asking them to be best friends. He demands they bury the hatchet right now. Jericho laughs at the suggestion they shake hands. They stand up and Jericho extends his hand, which Rock accepts. Rock tells Jericho no problems. Jericho yells out for the Rock and wishes Rock luck in his match tonight. Jericho hopes Rock doesn’t lose another big one, again. Rock turns around and tells Jericho he has something for him and they begin to brawl until officials run in and break them up!

William Regal cuts a promo before the next match saying that he is their role model. Regal says they wouldn’t want someone like David Beckham or anyone from Manchester United. If they did, they children would be hanging out at strange ways up the street.

Regal avoids a top rope moonsault and locks in the Regal Stretch to win the match. After the match, Tajiri spits his mist into Regal’s face! (**. A match fairly dominated by Regal, but Tajiri had a few moments of offense and the crowd reacted well to what Tajiri was offering. Not a bad short match.)

Backstage, Michael Cole interviews WCW US Champion Kurt Angle. Angle talks about the fans looking like escaped prisoners. Angle is poking fun at Jericho’s nickname Y2J. Angle thinks Jericho is a jerk. Angle shows off his medals and says they aren’t mickey mouse, like Jericho is. Angle is coming after Jericho’s gold!

Sixth Contest: WCW World Champion Chris Jericho vs. WCW United States Champion Kurt Angle: Jericho quickly takes Angle down but they are fighting for leverage with neither man getting it. Jericho gets a few strikes in to keep the advantage. Angle with a fireman carry take down but Jericho hits a spinning heel kick and a knee lift. Jericho with a series of snap suplexs for a two count. Angle stops Jericho with a German suplex! Angle gets to the ropes to stop the Walls of Jericho from happening. Jericho hits a springboard dropkick to knock Angle off the apron to the floor. Angle is sent shoulder first into the ring post and they exchange blows on the floor. Jericho tosses Angle into the ring steps shoulder first. Angle tries to reach the ropes and gets to the bottom rope. Jericho is distracted briefly but hits a running bulldog but Angle gets his knees up on an attempted springboard moonsault. Angle goes for the Angle Slam but Jericho counters with a roll up for the win! After the match, Angle takes Jericho out with two Angle Slams because he is a sore loser. (**3/4. It was a decent match, but I found myself rather bored for this match. The crowd wasn’t exactly invested into it either it seemed like. Don’t get me wrong, there was decent action, but there were slow parts to it that just got me out of the match and they never really got me back into it.)

Backstage, Michael Cole chats with the Rock. Cole asks how Rock can focus since he has a lot going on. Rock says this is the first time Cole has asked an intelligent question. Rock understands how Cole wakes up and worries about getting England pie or strudel. Rock tells Cole it doesn’t which way Cole swings. Rock says he is going to become the WWF World Champion and kick Austin’s ass all over Manchester!

Seventh Contest: Torrie Wilson & Lita vs. Stacy Keibler & Mighty Molly: Trish Stratus is the special referee for this tag match. Yes, these females are a pleasure to look at, but this isn’t a pleasure to sit through and review. Lita ends the match with the Twist of Fate on Mighty Molly. Now it’s time to get to the match everyone in attendance paid to see.

A video promoting the main event airs for the fans to be reminded about the long running feud.

After the match, Austin hugs Angle and celebrates his win. (***1/4. The brawling portion of the match was enjoyable, but Austin having to control the match as a heel just wasn’t entertaining. It was repetitive and boring when they were in the ring it felt like. The involvement of Angle and Jericho wasn’t surprising, though I thought Jericho was going to screw Rock over. A good match with a boring midmatch segment.)

The 411: It' an enjoyable show as there was plenty of solid wrestling throughout the show. Plus, it's one of the stronger England shows the WWF put on in the 2000's, I feel like. I recommend sitting down and watching the show. I enjoyed it.
