Video package on Kurt Angle airs.

Winner- Kurt Angle ** ( Angle looked comfortable in the ring in his debut; he looked like a natural mixing in the typical WWF styles with great looking mat wrestling. The crowd could not have cared less about the match and it looked like Angle’s debut was going to be a disaster so whoever made the call for Angle to cut a promo mid match was a genius and gave him a character to work with going forward. They struck gold with Kurt so this was one of the more important debuts in WWF history. )

After the match, DX work over Kane as Tori comes out. X-Pac lays out Tori with a spin kick and DX bails as Kane checks on her.

The Rock goes to cut a promo but Triple H appears, trigging a brawl between the two. It takes multiple officials to separate them.

Winner- Big Show DUD ( Show got to look dominate and this was probably the stronges the WWF has made him look since his debut. Again, the finish didn’t bother me as it, much like the match prior to this one, set up the blow off for next month.)

Stone Cold Steve Austin is about to give a promo but Triple H attacks and runs, causing Austin to give chase. Austin is in the parking lot looking for Triple H but a car appears and runs him over!!! Test and the McMahons race to the parking lot to check on Austin and Vince goes after DX as they appear. Triple H says they had nothing to do with it. Vince McMahon says to get him a car as he’s going to the hospital to check on Austin. ( Austin had lingering neck problems so he needed surgery to this is how they wrote him out. The payoff a year later sucked but it led to an epic match between Austin and Triple H in 2001, so there’s that. )

Chyna goes for the hurricanrana but Jericho blocks and grabs the Walls of Jericho!!! Chyna makes the ropes to break!!! Jericho puts Chyna on top and he follows up. Kitty distracts the ref, allowing Chyna go low. Chyna HITS A SUPER PEDIGREE FOR 3!!!!
Winner and Still WWF Intercontinental Champion- Chyna ***1/2 ( Jericho’s antics during this match were awesome and the crowd was hot for him. This match turned the corner for him in the WWF, as he was able to have a pretty damn good match with Chyna, bumping like crazy for her. )

DX professes their innocence to Shane McMahon and Triple H asks if the main event is still a triple threat match. Shane says he doesn’t know what he’s going to do and kicks him out.

Hardcore dumps Crash to the floor and they trade counters until Hardcore blocks a Victory roll for 3.
Winner- Hardcore Holly ***1/2 ( They did some awesome stuff during the match, so it was unfortunate to see the crowd not that into it and to hear the commentary team focus on the Austin angle rather than the match. At least three of these teams got super over in the coming months.)

Shane McMahon gives an update on Stone Cold and declares there will still be a Triple Threat match tonight but it will be without Austin.

Mankind covers Gunn for 2!!! Dogg trips up Mankind and the Outlaws connect with a spiked piledriver for 3.
Winners and Still WWF Tag Team Champions- New Age Outlaws **1/4 ( This match was weird. It had no heat and it seemed like all four guys didn’t know what they wanted to do, as they never had a full heat sequence and spent most of the match brawling. Final stretch got the crowd going and it salvaged the match just a tiny bit. )

Winner and NEW WWF Champion- Big Show ***1/4 ( Good man event, with some fun brawling between these three and the action was consistent for the full sixteen minutes. The finish was overbooked to hell though but it was capped off by Show getting his big moment and HHH getting some comeuppance. )

The 411: This show felt more like an episode of Raw than a PPV. All of the classic Survivor Series elimination matches were thrown together, a majority of the show was taken over by the Stone Cold car angle, and the wrestling wasn't all that good with only two exceptions. If your a Big Show fan and want to see his crowning moment since coming to the WWF early in the year, then this show is worth a look. Otherwise, nothing to see here.

Final Score:  5.0   [ Not So Good ]  legend
