Picking up where ECW left off…I think not.
I picked this up in a recent Ebay lot that was killer. Two DVD’s, Four VHS and Three books for $20 including shipping. As if I needed more videos and such. Happy early father’s day to me!
There are two rings set up, for what looks like a war games later on between the 2 XPW Factions. The one ring has 3-sides of cage around it already, to save time and add to the bush league feel.
The So Cal. Jobbers Union cut a promo. They are apparently invaders/glorified backyard wrestlers, so this is starting well. The announcers mock them because they are used to working in front of 20 people, not “thousands.” They attack Larry Rivera and he is saved by a giant fat man in a clown outfit with “XPW” on his outfit. Pogo the clown I think his name is, will team with Larry Rivera to take on the The So Cal. Jobbers Union.
Match #1 The So Cal. Jobbers Union vs. Pogo The Clown and Larry Rivera
One of the jobbers takes control. They don’t say there names, just call them the So. Cal Jobbers. Rivera with a crucifix for 2. He’s an announcer and asked for this the “face” announcer says. Right hands but the jobber, and then a snap mare and kick. All the jobbers I n with a triple drop kick to Rivera. Rights by another jobber now and a gut-wrench suplex to Rivera. Off the ropes and a leg lariat to Rivera. A jobber rips off the Junk and Jive Road Dogg punches and the there is a Breakin 2 reference! Cover for 2 by the jobber. Suplex on Rivera and tag to jobber #3. He’s Dynamite D, their leader so at least he has a name. Shoulder breaker, and this guy looks like my banker. Shitty looking piledriver on Rivera and then he nails Pogo. Rivera reverses a slam and gets a stunner. Tag to Pogo. Fat man is getting angry! D with a missile dropkick to Pogo and then chops. D rips his shirt and chops away ay Pogo. Clothesline from Pogo takes D down. Elbow by Pogo. D with punches and a tag to Jobber #2. Clothesline by Pogo and a LOW BLOW to D. Clothesline to jobber #1. Pogo bomb to jobber #2. Tag to Rivera. He goes up top…as jobber #1 who is now named America’s Wild Child is slammed on top of jobber #2. Moonsault by Rivera, Pogo and he cover for the win.
Pogo with splashes on the jobbers and then an elbow. D is in to check on his jobber friends as Rivera puts on Pogo’s hat.
Winners: Pogo The Clown and Larry Rivera @ 7:45, Bad on so many levels (N-R)
Rivera is back in the booth, and says he isn’t Rivera, but is Fantastico. Ok.
Match #2 Psicosis vs. “Confederate Currency” Chris Hammerick
This is Psicosis without the mask for your information.
Slap by Chris takes Psicosis down. Another one and a headlock on Psicosis. Off the ropes and a shoulder block to Psicosis. Boot to Psicosis and an arm drag by Chris. Reversals series and arm drags by Psicosis and then by Chris and Psicosis to the floor. Psicosis stalls now and talks smack to the crowd. Back in now and lock up and a head lock again by Chris. Shoulder block to Psicosis and he flips down. Pendulum by Chris and Psicosis refuses to give up. He releases Psicosis and chops away at him. Whip by Chris and he misses a splash and flies to the floor! Psicosis with a plancha to Chris and both men are down on the floor now. Both men to their feet and rights by Psicosis. Chris on the apron, a boot to Psicosis and a split legged moonsault to Psicosis. Back in the ring and chops by Psicosis. Yakuza kick by Chris gets 2. Mounted corner punches by Chris and then a corner whip. Reversal and Psicosis slides under and crotches Chris on the post. He pulls him to the floor now and Psicosis has a chair. Psicosis nails him. Chris rammed to the steel railing and then back in the ring. Side kick by Psicosis and then another. Baseball slide to Chris and he goes to the floor. Psicosis rams him into the ring apron. Psicosis back in and a leg drop to the floor by Psicosis. Both men are down and finally Psicosis to his feet. He slides him back in and covers for 2. Boot to the head by Psicosis, off the ropes and a sleeper by Psicosis. Reversal and a sleeper by Chris but reversed into a back suplex for 2. Psicosis goes up top…dropkick by Chris stops Psicosis cold. Both men down again, and then up and exchange right hands. Off the ropes and reversals into a tornado DDT by Psicosis. Psicosis says that’s it and goes up top…Chris crotches him and goes up as well. SUPER RANA by Chris and that’s all.
Winner: “Confederate Currency” Chris Hammerick @ 13:39. Nothing special, and too long and drawn out as well as disappointing. *

Interview by Preston Ascott III with Juvi, Vinnie Massaro and Lady Victoria. He is sick of the dirty Mexicans and he isn’t gay. Could have fooled me, he looks gayer than Fred from Scooby Doo. He says he can’t wrestle tonight and makes fun of the Mexicans more. He says the Black Army will wrestle, and he’s not gay. Denial, it’s a process. He announces the Black Army. Apparently now they won’t wrestle. Damn this guy sucks. Juvi apparently isn’t a dirty Mexican and realizes it is better to be American. Juvi says they can suck his dick. They al make him sick and disgusted. He wants to be the greatest, not like K Dawg in Mexico. Konnan sucks and he is the best. He’s “The Juice.” Fuck you! Juvi draws what chants, which pisses him off and he informs the crowd to “Fuck Off.”
Match #3 Mexican’s Most Wanted (Damien 666 and Halloween) vs. Juvi and Vinnie Massaro w/Lady Victoria
Vinnie and Halloween to start. Vinnie is an out of shape looking guy and not to tall. Halloween flips him off and then slaps him. They shove and a headlock on Halloween. Off the ropes and a shoulder block does nothing. Super kick by Halloween as Vinnie tried again and covers for 2. Chops by Halloween and off the ropes but eats a clothesline from Vinnie. Halloween whipped off the ropes, and reverses stride and gets a dropkick on Vinnie. Juvi in now and so is Damien. They shove each other and a dropkick by Juvi. Snap mare and a quick leg drop to Damien. Off the ropes and a shoulder block to Damien and then an elbow drop. Juvi talks smack to the crowd and then rams Damien to the corner. Off the ropes and Juvi tries a tilt a whirl, but it is turned into a face buster! Juvi set up top…MUSCLE BUSTER gets 2! Reversals and Juvi with a face buster. Spin kick by Juvi and then a 619 to Damien. He covers for 2. Halloween nails Juvi and Damien levels Juvi with a clothesline. Rear choke by Damien and then tags Halloween. Off the ropes and a double team gut buster by MMW. Then a double team TKO like move gets 2. Dropkick to Vinnie and Damien is back in. He beats down Juvi and tags in Halloween. Halloween misses Juvi and then spin kicks Damien. Tag to Vinnie and MMW. Double DDT by Vinnie gets 2. Snap mare and then the Italian Elbow for 2. Tag to Juvi and a neck breaker power bomb gets 2 on Damien as Halloween breaks it up. Boot to Vinnie and a tag to Halloween. They whip Vinnie and clothesline by Damien and then Halloween. They crotch Vinnie on the steel post and Halloween is in control and covers for 2. Tag to Damien and Vinnie takes them down with a double face buster. Tag to Juvi and a double cross body by Juvi. Head scissors to Damien. Plancha to Damien on the floor. Halloween covers Vinnie for 2 in the ring. Chops by Vinnie and he hits the whack job (a botched Emerald Fusion) for the win.
Winners: Juvi and Vinnie Massaro @ 10:25. Vinnie really killed a lot of this match, and even Juvi, Damien and Halloween couldn’t save what had potential to be a really good match. **
If I was judging by names, I would say that this would be bad. Snot looks like someone out of Revenge of the Nerds.
This is Shooting Star’s debut and Snot is apparently the Barry Horowitz of XPW. Arm drag by Star and then a hip toss and poses. Lock up and a slam to Snot. Snot up and blows a snot rocket at Star, and then a slam. Chops by Snot and Star bails to the outside. He stalls for what seems like ever and then tells everyone to shut up. Lock up and off the ropes and a shoulder block to Snot. Headlock by Snot and Star is down. Off the ropes and snot with another headlock. Star fights out and a super kick to Snot. Star to the 2nd rope and an ax handle blow to Snot. Chops by Snot and then a knee by Star. Jawbreaker by Star and a cover for 2. This is like slow motion, and not Ebassan funny slow motion. Roll up by Snot for 2. Boots by Star and then a slam. Star misses a shitty looking Lion Sault and the announcers even say this is bad! Snot on the comeback, corner punches and humps Star’s face. Did I just type that. Northern lights suplex by Snot for 2. DDT from Star and he covers for 2. Off the ropes, reversal by Snot who gets the Snot Drop (Unprettier) for the win.
Winner: Scott Snot @ 7:12. Man, I thought the opener was bad. (N-R)
OH MY GOD! THE MASKED MAN IS BACK! THEY DON’T KNOW WHO HE IS BUT HE IS HERE AND THEY ARE SHOCKED! BURNING HAMMER TO SNOT! BURNING HAMMER TO STAR! Here is New Jack! They brawl and the Masked Man beats him down. New Jack has a freaking Tree Saw though! ROAD SIGN OF DOOM! Aluminum Crutch of mild discomfort! The Masked Man won’t go down. New Jack hits him with a golf club in the nizzies, that’ll do it. The Masked Man leaves. New Jack on the mic, he says to get a shot of this, because that was so great he has a hard on. Too much info brother, too much. He says this big ass dude picked the right nigger if he wanted a fight.
Well that was mildly entertaining.
Kris Kloss is in the ring again, yay. He has Vic Grimes who is there for the first time since his ass got tossed off of a scaffold and almost died. Here’s here to kick some fucking asses. He’s doen hardcore, death matches and New Jack even tosses him from heaven but he is still here. It’s about supply and demand, and he is in demand, and will supply the pain.
Karagias on the mic, says Grimes is babbling about nothing and he is fat. Grimes isn’t shit because he was only in the WWF for 2-days. The crowd sucks because after 4-years of hating Grimes, they love him after a 40-foot fall. EK is the shit, and he gets with all those hoes. He calls the audience “Fucking Ignorant.” He’s been to WWF and WCW and he will show them what time it is.
Match #5 Evan “The only member of 3-count that couldn’t keep a job with the WWE” Karagias vs. Vic “I think I am the next Mick Foley but am the farthest thing from it” Grimes
Evan Karagias? BWAHAHAHAHAHA! I always thought he was a little bitch, that just needed to be said.
Vic attacks as the bell rings. Boot by Vic and then he takes Karagias to the corner. Whip and a reversal and a clothesline by Karagias. Vic tries a corner splash and misses and falls to the floor. Top rope cross body by Karagias all the way to the floor and Vic hits his head off of the steel barrier. Karagias holds his ribs and then nails Vic with a double ax handle. Vic rammed into the steel post. Back in the ring now. Karagias up top…Cross body, but caught by Vic into an odd sit out front stunner variation. Elbows in the corner by Vic and he whips Karagias and gets a running knee to the head. He then does the Rikishi ass ram to Karagias’s head. Head butt to the crotch of Karagias. Vic up top...MISSES the senton! Kick to the head by Karagias and then he lays the boots to Vic. Kicks to the knees now by Karagias and a standing ankle lock and Vic gets the ropes. Rights by Karagias and Vic to his feet. Clothesline to Karagias. Whipped to the corner and a clothesline. Vic to the 2nd rope…he grabs both of Karagias’s hands, walks the ropes and falls off with a leg drop attempt. Smooth. He rams Karagias into the corner shoulder first and then kicks away at him. Chops to Karagias, off the ropes, and Karagias gets a wheel barrel bulldog. Running forearm by Karagias. Right hands by Karagias and Vic with a knee lift. Off the ropes and a tilt a whirl try knocks the ref down and Karagias with a hangman’s neck breaker. Karagias up top…450 splash! Karagias tries to revive the ref and Vic is up. Karagias with a RANA try, but Vic with a Styles Clash for the win.
Winner: Vic Grimes @ 7:57. Started ok, but fell apart. *½
Kaos and Angel to start. Angel with a bitch slap. Kaos with right hands. Spine buster by Kaos, and then a catapult. Angel to the top off of that and a moonsault to Kaos. Reversal series and a kick by Angel. DDT by Angel off of a reversal and off the ropes, and a Kaos Cutter (TKO) by Kaos. GQ Money is next for the Enterprise. Money works him over as Kaos gets a ladder form ring #2. Angel back dropped into ring 2. Kaos tosses Money onto Angel. Summersault senton by Money. Gory Special into a leg drop by the Enterprise and Angel is in trouble. Nosawa is in for the Black Army to even things up. Rights to Kaos and they use the overhead camera for a while, which sucks. Snap mare to Kaos and a kick to the head. Figure four by Nosawa. Nosawa and Angel in control, but Money whips Angel into a bed of nails! Kaos rammed into the cage. Suplex on Angel and then a leg drop by Money. Arm bar on Angel and he escapes. Kaos is bleeding now and Nosawa tries to open him up more. Angel rams Money into the cage and Here comes the Sandman.
Sandman rams Angel into the cage. Chops to Nosawa. Again and Sandman whips him to the corner. Sandman hangs Nosawa up in the ropes and Angel works on Money. Sandman drinks a beer, which is the best move he’s done so far. He shares with Kaos, how sweet. The lighting just got darker, making it hard to see what is happening. The Enterprise in control 3-2 and Sandman rakes Nosawa’s head off of the bed of nails. Head butt by Nosawa, and a low blow! Frog splash by Money onto Angel. Nosawa works him Sandman over and they both are broken open. Webb is in, the XPW champ. Webb hits all members of the Enterprise with kicks and rights. Nosawa with a Michinoku Driver on Sandman. Webb rams someone into the ladder. Nosawa works over Money as Webb takes it to Sandman. Money with a variation of a single leg crab on Nosawa. Angel breaks that up.
Here comes Steve Rizzano to make it 4 on 3 in favor of the Enterprise. He takes his time as Angel works over the Sandman. Steve slams Nosawa on a pile of thumbtacks. Sandman whips Webb over the top into the cage. Sandman lights up in the ring. Angel has gotten on top of the cage, which is enclosed except for a small section. Money follows him. The now battle up top. Steve rams Nosawa into the steel cage. Kaos gets a table and Money and Angel still fight on top. Table set up now. Here is Lizzie Borden. There are 4 tables conveniently stacked on the floor I see. Money throws FIRE INTO ANGELS FACE! ANOTHER ONE! Nosawa tries to take out everyone he can with kicks. Sandman and Steve work over Webb.
Here comes Veronica Caine. CAT FIGHT on the ramp. Steve rammed to the cage and it is falling apart. Nice. Borden tossed into the steel railing. Kaos sets up a HUGE ass ladder. Caine is in and putting boots to all of the Black army that is left in the ring. Nosawa rammed into the cage again. Angel and Money are still onto of the cage. Borden is in the ring and Sandman grabs her. SLAM on the thumbtacks by Sandman. Caine punches away on her. Webb DDT’s Caine!
Someone is here, as Kaos goes up top of the cage. ANGEL IS TOSSED OFF through 4 tables. Supreme is the man that came out and he joins the Black Army. Money dives off the top of the cage onto Angle and the security staff! Supreme is cleaning house as the cage continues to fall apart. Webb goes up top and pulls off Kaos through a table in the ring! Caine is trying to make Borden submit wit a figure four headlock. She spanks her then. Sandman and Supreme battle now and Angel and Money are still out of the floor. Kaos chokes out Webb. Steve beats on Nosawa and the Sandman and Caine try to make Borden submit and she does! No title changes.
Sandman drinks more beer and they continue to brawl. Here comes Vic Grimes! He nails Kaos. Slam to Sandman. Rights to Steve and the Enterprise tries to escape. Borden and Caine fight more on the ramp. Supreme and Grimes embrace and join forces. Sandman pours beer all over Borden.
Winners: The Enterprise @ 25:40. If you like mindless violence, this is for you. **
The 411: To start, the production is horrible. The sound is bad, lighting is too low and overall video quality is just not good. Secondly, the announcing is atrocious. Two guys that are trying to be serious, then funny and then they don’t know. Kloss is a VERY bad rip off of Joey Styles. Very bad, and makes you want to turn the sound off. You build a show around a “War Games” Style match, and that is cool. But your cage can’t fall apart during the match, that is totally bush league. Usually there is one good match or a little something for everyone on a show, but this was about as bad as it gets,. Recommendation to avoid at all costs, and for me to burn this tape.
