INTRO:
Don West and Mike Tenay welcome us to the latest DVD from TNA Wrestling. They say a lot of great tag teams have come through TNA, and over the last 5-years they have dominated tag team wrestling as they have featured it. They discuss the dominance of AMW, which brings us to our first match.
Note: These recaps are all from previous recaps of the shows, and some comments may be sensitive to the time of the match.
Back @ 4:45 with AJ getting the sweet dropkick combo on Storm. Tag to Daniels, kicks to Storm and an Irish whip, reversals and a front lung blower by Daniels gets 2. Harris in to break things up, he then gets the proper tag and gets a nice stalling vertical suplex on Daniels. Tag back to Storm, and AMW gets some double team moves on Daniels to keep him on their side of the ring. Atomic drop/Russian leg sweep combo and they get 2. Harris chokes out Daniels, tags back to Storm and he gets a double fishhook on Daniels! FISH HOOK~! Daniels escapes, off he ropes, reversals but Storm with a knee and Daniels is cut off again. Harris in with a double sledge, atomic drop, off the ropes but Daniels battles back with a palm thrust! TAG to AJ! He takes out AMW with rights. Corner forearm to Harris. Torture rack on Storm! Spinning flap jack to Storm, but Harris pulls out the ref. Daniels dives out onto Harris, Gail in with a RANA…AJ catches her, but eats a superkick by Storm, allowing Gail to get a Swank looking RANA on AJ and Storm got the pin.
Winners: AMW @ 10:11 via pin
Really good match. They clicked and I really want to see them go on PPV for 20-minutes. The end worked out good as it fits what AMW has been doing since October. Also, Gail Kim's RANA…killer sweet. **¾
Daniels and AJ attack before the bell. Daniels and Storm go to the floor as AJ gets a sweet dropkick on Harris in the ring. Daniels tags in and they gets a double side slam on Harris and then AJ with the knee for 2. Daniels with an arm bar on Harris now. Off the ropes and a leg lariat by Daniels gets 2 on Harris. Daniels slams Storm on Harris, AJ in and a side suplex/forearm combo on Storm. AJ counters the full nelson slam, and then gets the reverse Indian Deathlock and bridge. Storm breaks it up and Daniels tags in and gets the STO on Harris. Tag to AJ and right into an arm bar. They quickly tag in and out, and then take out Storm. Corner clothesline by AJ and a knee by Daniels gets 2 on Harris. Eye poke by Harris and AMW double-teams Daniels. Clothesline by Storm and a cover for 2. Side Russian leg sweep by Storm gets 2. Stalling suplex by Harris…and down. He celebrates and tags Storm. They double team Daniels some more and then rake at his face. Harris chokes him as the ref is distracted. Catapult to Daniels with his neck under the ropes by Storm. Daniels tries to battle back, nails Harris but Storm rams him back to the corner. Harris tags back in and gets a snap mare and rear chinlock. Daniels battles out, but eats an elbow and a cover for 2 by Harris. Tag back to Storm and he gets a 2nd rope elbow on Daniels. Rights to Daniels and he is down, cover and 2 again. Tag to Harris, Irish whip and Harris misses and Daniels lays out Storm. TAG to AJ! He takes them both out with clotheslines! Spin kick and a tilt a whirl head scissors gets 2 on Harris. Daniels and Storm up top…AJ over and they battle…Harris over…TOWER OF DOOM but Daniels stays up top. CROSS BODY to Harris gets 2! Daniels and Harris to the floor and they brawl into the crowd. AJ is in the ring, Storm to the floor…SPRING BOARD INTO THE CROWD ONTO HARRIS! Daniels and Storm battle and so do AJ and Harris. Daniels and Storm back in the ring, stunner off the ropes by Storm. Daniels to the floor and AMW tosses AJ back in. Hart attack try… Daniels cuts off Harris…PELE INTO THE DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! 1…2…NO! AJ flies to the floor but misses Harris. BEST MOONSAULT EVER misses…SPEAR by Harris gets 2! Tag to Storm and off the ropes…boot by Daniels, tag to AJ! SPRING BOARD DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE TO AMW! Storm has AJ, counters and AJ goes up top with him…Harris over and grabs AJ. DOOMSDAY 8-SECOND RIDE! 1…2…NO Daniels saves! AMW rammed together and Urnage by Daniels onto Storm. AJ up top…BEST MOONSAULT EVER! FROG SPALSH BY AJ! 1…2…NO! Jawbreaker by Storm on AJ. Irish whip and Storm rolls AJ up, Daniels tosses his feet off the ropes. AJ tries for the clash…LOW BLOW ON AJ! Superkick by Storm, but Daniels makes another save! ANGELS WINGS BY DANIELS! 1…2…HARRIS SAVES! Boot by Daniels on Harris, but he gets tosses and the ref gets bumped. Storm and AJ are in the ring and a billy club flies in the ring. Gail tossed it from the rafters! Daniels gets a split legged moonsault onto Harris on the floor. CLASH on Storm! Harris in, NAILS AJ with the club. Ref back in and counts 3.
Winners: AMW @ 15:40 via pin
This was a really good match, with a not so good finish due to ignoring the stipulation, but a great match nonetheless. ****
The Naturals are sporting the new gear they debuted at the Mooresville House Show.
Chase and Storm to begin. Lock up and a side headlock to begin. Off the ropes and a tackle by Chase. Tag to Andy, double team face jam to the knee on Storm and they clear the ring. AMW regroups and we head to a commercial @ 1:00.
Back from commercial @ 4:29 with Andy delivering rights to Storm. Harris nails Andy and AMW is in control. Elbow by Harris, then boots to Andy. Don West returns finally after his beating and he's upset. Tag to Storm and a suplex onto the ropes to Andy. Whirly bird by Storm and a cover for 2. Off the ropes and they collide mid-ring. Tag to Chase and Storm. Chase cleans house, moves and Harris nails Storm. Stunner/neck breaker combo by the Naturals. Christopher Daniels stops Gail from using the nightstick and gives it to Daniels. He refuses, Storm nails him with a beer bottle and gets the pin.
After the match, we see Shane Douglas watching on the ramp. He then hangs his head and walks backstage. AMW beats down the Naturals after the match.
Winners: AMW via pin @ 7:06
3-minutes were killed by commercial, so that sucked. What was there was fine, and is leading to Shane Douglas managing the Naturals, while Daniels and AJ try to get revenge on AMW. Standard AMW vs. Naturals stuff. **¼
From Slammiversary - NWA Tag Title Match: AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels vs. America’s Most Wanted w/Gail
AJ and Storm to begin. Lock up and they shove off. Lock up again and Storm with a headlock. AJ escapes, off the ropes and a shoulder block by Storm. Storm tries to toss AJ, but AJ springs in and then gets the swank dropkick. Tag to Daniels, in with a smash on Storm’s arm. Tag back to AJ, he works the arm and then Daniels back in. Storm rams Daniels to the AMW corner and they double-team him and Harris with an arm bar. Daniels rolls, escapes and gets one of his own. More counters and Daniels remains in control. Eye poke by Harris, wristlock and Daniels with an escape and trip and steps on the hair of Harris. Off the ropes and a dropkick by Daniels. Trip to Storm and they land in the 69 position. The broke-back chants start. Storm accidentally dumps Harris. PLANCHA by AJ! AJ tosses Storm back in and a slam by Daniels. Slingshot elbow drop by Daniels gets 2. Tag to AJ and they get a cool double team face jam deal into the knees of Daniels. Slam by AJ…high knee drop by AJ for 2. AJ off the ropes, trips Harris, off the ropes but Harris pulls it down and he crashes to the floor. All 4 men brawl on the floor now. Daniels and Harris battle on the ramp as Gail tries to nail Daniels, allowing Harris to level him. He drops Daniels throat first onto the railing. AJ tries to hop off the railing, but Storm shoves his legs out from under him and he hits gut first onto the railing. AJ rolled back in and Harris covers for 2. Flying lariat by Harris gets 2. Storm tags in and gets a pair of covers for 2. STIFF kicks by Storm gets 2. Tag to Harris, stalling suplex to AJ and a choke by Harris. Tag to Storm, they double team him with boots and Storm gets a partial whirly bird, AJ dives for a tag but they stop him. Storm tries the 8-second ride…PELE kick by AJ! AJ tries for the tag and gets it! Daniels starts to clean house and gets an enziguri to Harris. Slam on Storm. Split legged moonsault for 2 as Harris tried to save but hit Storm. BLUE THUNDA DRIVA by Daniels. AJ tosses Gail off the top. Some big bitch hits the ring and choke slams Gail! She tosses Gail to the floor and drags her to the back. AMW back and they attack AJ and Daniels. Storm and Daniels up top, Harris over but AJ helps and Daniels gets a roll up for 2. Backdrop by Harris and he nails AJ. Daniels rolls up Harris but Storm tosses a chair in his face. Cover 1…2…NO! Daniels is alive! AJ tags in and gets the superman forearm! Asai DDT on Storm! Pump handle gut buster to Harris! AJ up top…SPIRAL TAP MISSES! Harris has the handcuffs and Storm distracts the ref…he levels AJ with them and covers 1…2…NO! Daniels pulls out the ref! He tells the ref what happened and they knock him back out. Daniels stops a death sentence try…DVD on Harris…senton by AJ! 1…2…NO! Daniels in and Angels wings try…Storm levels him. Storm has his hat on and super kick misses…ANGELS WINGS! 1…2…NO! Harris elbow drops the ref and then tosses him. AJ misses a corner splash and Strom has the bottle…HITA HARRIS as AJ moved! URANAGE by Daniels! FROG SPLASH by AJ! BEST MOONSAULT EVER BY DANIELS! 1…2…3!

An awesome follow up to their previous PPV outing. They had a great chemistry and the validation of AJ and Daniels finally winning was great. ****¼
Mike and Don are back to discuss Team 3D. They put them over as the most decorated tag team in wrestling history. But they have never won the TNA tag team titles. Don says they are part of the deep TNA tag team division, and the fact that they cannot dominate TNA is proof of that.
From IMPACT 3.25.06 - Six Sides of Steel: Team 3D vs. Team Canada (Eric Young and Bobby Roode) w/Coach D'Amore, Petey and A1
The ref tosses all of Team Canada from ringside, so this will be 2 on 2.
The Canadians try to stay away, but 3D attacks! Roode and Ray exchange rights and Roode gets rammed to the cage. Devon catapults Eric to the cage! Team 3D is in control as we head to a commercial @ 1:40.
We have returned @ 5:33 with Eric climbing the cage. Devon chases and Eric is bleeding. Ray and Roode battle, Ray over and gets a STIFF powerbomb on Eric! Ray works over the cut on Eric and tosses him into the cage. Clothesline by Devon to Roode. Ray rips at Eric's cut and he is gushing blood. FLAIR FLOP by Eric and Devon now chokes out Roode. Back suplex by Ray to Eric. Team 3D is in full control here but Team Canada fights back. Eric goes to the apron and rakes Ray's head off of the cage. Double suplex on Ray and as Team Canada takes control we head to a commercial @ 9:00.
Back at 12:10 and Eric misses a moonsault. Devon now cleans house and gets a backdrop to Eric. One to Roode. Flapjack to Roode gets 2. Reverse suplex by Devon gets 2. Roode is busted open now and 3D TO ERIC and that is all.
Winners: Team 3D @ 13:35 via pin
AMW is here and so is the rest of Team Canada. Gang violence on Team 3D! Hockey stick shot to Devon. D'Amore says to get the tables. AMW gets a table and they set it up. Lethal tries to make a save but gets taken out. Same for Dutt. Petey gets a splash on Ray while he was on the table. D'Amore talks shit and it is time they learned respect. Sabin gets taken out as well. Ray gets tossed through a table in the corner now. Devon is busted open and A1 tosses him into the cage. They lay Canadian flags on them. They sing the Canadian anthem as AMW look on pleased.
This match was raped by commercials, and I honestly found it very hard to get into it due to that. The beat down was good, but also had issues. **
Back @ 4:25 with AMW in control. Harris chokes Devon with his wrist tape. Wait, if this is a street fight, why are they using tag rules? Tag to Storm and they miss a double clothesline but Devon connects! Tag to ray! Rights for Harris and Storm. Storm tossed to the floor and so is Harris. They go to the floor and Team 3D takes it to them. Devon follows Harris into the crowd and Harris is rammed to the bleachers. Harris battles back and slams Devon to the bleachers. They brawl back to ringside as Ray and Storm are in the crowd. Devon nails Harris with the title belt, as Ray Tosses Storm through a small wall by the bleachers. 3D in control and Ray and Storm back to ringside. Harris takes down Devon, but then gets rammed to the steel railing. Slam by Ray on Storm, Devon up top…Harris tosses him off. Storm grabs his belt and doesn't use it. SUPERKICK to Devon! Rights to Ray, but ray tosses him to the floor. Harris levels Ray with a lariat and gets 2. Irish whip, elbow by Ray. Up top…back splash misses! Harris nails ray with a trashcan and covers for 2. AMW sets up the trashcan and goes for a death sentence…Ray tosses Harris off the top and Ray is back in. Reverse 3D to Storm! 1…2…stopped as Team Canada's Petey Williams is out to stop it. Roode and Young beat down 3D now. They bring a table in and set it up. Devon is laid on the table…BUT HERE IS LITTLE SCOTT DEADLY! ACID DROP TO ROODE! 3D to A1 through a table! The Deadly's are reunited!
Winners: No Contest @ 10:55
Fun street fight, except when they tried to use tag rules early on and a no finish in a street fight, that was odd. Good fun, more build for 3D vs. Team Canada and the debut of LSD was well received from the TNA faithful. **
From Lockdown 2006 - Anthem/Flag Match: Team 3D (Ray, Devon and "Runt") vs. Team Canada (A1, Roode and Young) w/Scott D'Amore
They brawl as Eric and Runt defend the flags. Roode and Ray pair off and exchange rights as Devon and A1 battle. 3D takes control but Eric gets a top rope clothesline to both. Runt gets a dual dropkick to A1 and Roode. 3D tosses Eric off as Runt walks the ropes to try and get the flag. He gets pulled down and rammed to the cage. Roode climbs now and Ray stops him. They battle up top…chops now and head butts now. TOP ROPE BUBBA BOMB ON ROODE! A1 climbs now, Devon follows…he rams A1 into the cage and gets a Top Rope Russian leg sweep! Runt and Eric battle up top…Eric gets rammed into the cage…NESTEA PLUNGE! Double stomp off the top by Runt. Roode now chokes out Runt with his tape. Boot by Runt but then he eats a spine buster by Roode. Side slam/leg drop combo by 3D onto Roode. 3D seems in control now, but Roode fights back and BUMPS the ref. Shit. Reverse 3D on Roode. Double flapjack on A1. WAZZUP Head Butt on Eric! Ray climbs…he has the flag! But there is no ref. A1 levels Ray and Devon. D'Amore tosses in a chair and Runt gets stopped on the Acid drop and rammed into the cage. Powerbomb to Runt. Eric puts back the American flag. D'Amore knocks out the cage keeper and opens the door. He slides in a table and closes the door. Team Canada sets up the table. Eric climbs up…they lay Runt on the table…MISSES AN ELBOW DROP THROUGH THE TABLE! ACID DROP TO A1! Roode rammed to the cage. 3D TO ROODE! Runt climbs…he has the flag and they finally win!
Winner: Team 3D @ 8:45 via Flag Capture
It was fine, but at the time a very bad move for 3D as they were once again derailed from the tag titles. **
From Slammiversary - Bingo Hall Brawl: Team 3D vs. The James Gang
Team 3D during the pre-shoe went looking for the James Gang, found them and tossed them down the ramp to start the PPV. Kip and Ray go at it with chairs, Ray gets taken out. Devon in with the Kendo Stick and starts to clean some house. Junk and jive by BG, but he gets tossed. Reverse 3D on Kip for 2. Slick Johnson and all the refs are wearing the old school ref look, light blue shirts and bow ties. They brawl into the crowd now and they go into the LAX area and they beat down Team 3D. They then beat down Kip and BG! DON’T CROSS THE BORDER! Kip gets back-dropped onto a guard railing. BG jumps the rail and here we go with more crowd brawling. They ram Kip and BG into chairs that the crowd holds, but the James Gang battles back and uses trashcan lids, that’s uneven. Tons of toys tossed into the ring right now and they all go back and Ray chokes Ray with a bra. Uh oh…Ray has a cheese grated, but Kip with a low blow stop that. Kip charges, Ray nails him and CHEESE GRATER TO KIP! Shit that had to hurt. Slam by Ray on BG. Devon up top…WAZZZUP head butt but BG had a trashcan lid and Devon is hurt. Ray has a golf club and tee’s off on Ray. I kill me. Kip with a slam to Ray onto a trashcan and covers for 2. Kip and Devon pair off, but Ray hits him with a kendo stick and then they deliver the DEADLYVILLE DEVICE! GET THE TABLES! BG tossed to the floor, 3D ON KIP through the table. That’s it.

Surprisingly good considering all involved and the sandbagging they had and have been doing.
Don and Mike discuss the Naturals now. They have always found success, as they have had Chris Candido as a manager, but failed without him. But with Shane Douglas at the helm, they looked to finally get back to the top.

Harris and Chase to begin. Now all 4 in and they brawl. Naturals in control, double shoulder block to Storm. They work over Harris and cover for 2. Off the ropes and an arm bar on Harris, tag to Storm and they get a double team side slam/reverse DDT for 2. Russian leg sweep by Storm for 2. Storm almost hits Harris, and then does. And again! Chase rolls up Storm and that is all.

Way too short, but they got their point across, which is to push the Naturals and fuel the break up of AMW at the time, but why is this on a best of DVD? *
From IMPACT 8.17.06 - #1 Contender's Captain's Match: Frankie Kazarian vs. BG James vs. Chase Stevens vs. Chris Harris w/Gail
Kazarian and Chase to begin. Lock up and an uppercut by Kazarian. Off the ropes and some reversals and a back elbow by Chase. Backdrop and Kazarian to the floor. Chase grabs him, but Kazarian gets a slingshot DDT for 2 as BG and Harris come in to break it up. They brawl, all 4 in already and a pump handle slam by BG gets 2. Harris and Kazarian in, spine buster by Harris. Jabs by BG…dances and a right takes him down. Storm is out, into the ring and the ref tries to get him out. Harris and Storm argue, Chase tosses Storm and then grabs the handcuffs…nails Harris! 1…2…3!
Winner: Chase Stevens @ 2:30 via pin
It was fine, but really did nothing as far as help the tag scene, it was a make up for the loss of a match at the FIRE PPV. ½*
From No Surrender - Tag Team Battle Royal #1 Contender's Match: AMW w/Gail Kim vs. The James Gang vs. The Naturals vs. The Paparazzi vs. Diamonds In The Rough w/Simon Diamond vs. Bentley and Kazarian vs. The Truth and Lance Hoyt vs. Shark Boy and Norman Smiley
This is a battle royal to start. Once both members of the tem are gone you are out totally. When we get to 2 guys, then the teams reunite and we have a tag match to settle it. Crazy brawling to begin and Harris and Storm hid to start things off. Sneaky heels. Storm looks to be back in and so is Harris. Gail chokes out Kip James and Sharky and Norman double team David Young. Norman is tossed by Elix @ 2:00. Shark bite by Sharky on him. Big boot by Hoyt and Elix is gone @ 2:25. Hoyt tries to chokeslam Kazarian, but he escapes and he and Bentley toss Hoyt @ 3:20. Devine nails the rigging and is tosses @ 3:46. Shelley tosses Sharky @ 4:30 and the team of Sharky and Norman are done. DVD by Stevens on Harris. HOLY SHIT! STORM TOSSES STEVENS OFF THE TOP INTO THE CROWD @ 5:25!!! He wiped out like 6-fans as well. Killings tosses David Young @ 5:55 and Bentley was tossed as well. Killings and BG dance…and then brawl! Shelley tosses BG and Killings @ 6:25! YAKUZA by Kazarian on Shelley. Devine low bridges Kazarian and he is tossed @ 6:52. Kip tosses Shelley @ 7:02 and lands on Kazarian badly. AMW, Douglas and Kip James are left. Double backdrop on Douglas by AMW. Kip battles back and Storm skins the cat but gets tossed @ 7:56. The Paparazzi and Bentley and Kazarian brawl on the ramp as Harris battles Kip. Clothesline and shoulder blocks in the corner. Kip set up top…RANA by Kip and Harris is gone!
The Naturals vs. 3LK is on now. Wait, the ref didn't see Harris tossed and he tosses Kip @ 9:10 and it is AMW vs. The Naturals. Sneaky! The 3LK argues at ringside as AMW is in control. Stevens is on the floor holding his ankle from the fall. Douglas wants a tag but there is no one to tag right now. Clothesline by Storm on Douglas. AMW with the double team backdrop and they kick away at Stevens. Harris tries a suplex on Douglas…gets the stalling suplex and then knees Stevens. Storm beats on Douglas on the floor as Stevens tries to get to his feet. Douglas rammed to the railing. Douglas rolled in and Harris covers for 2. Basement dropkick by Storm to Stevens. Harris holds Douglas and Storm gets a right off the 2nd rope and that is good for 2. Whirly bird by Storm…SHADES OF AL PEREZ~! They call for the Death Sentence…Storm holds Douglas and Harris up top…The James Gang is back and brawls with Harris! Stevens tags in and Storm has him…whirly bird countered and a roll up gets the surprise 3!

Overall this was a really fun deal. The point was to get the Naturals over as strong and that was done here. **¾
Don and West have talked about Team 3D and AMW, but now they go to the James Gang, aka the Voodoo Kin Mafia.
We get videos of all of the VKM crap, no need to go over it as we all know I hated it. Sorry.
From Genesis 2006 - The Voodoo Kin Mafia (BG and KIP James) vs. The New Movement (Devine, Kazarian and Matt)
BG and Matt to begin. To the corner and the Movement beat down BG. BG back with jabs and takes all three member down until he eats a superkick by Matt. Devine in and gets an Irish whip and spring board cross body to BG. The Movement all beat down BG again with the white stick of doom. Matt in and looks like a cross dresser even more tonight, snap mare and basement dropkick to BG gets 2. Neck vice by Matt. BG to his feet, escapes and gets a flying forearm to Matt. BG tries a kip up, fails for comedy and has the ref help him. Tag to Kip and he cleans house. Pedigree try and mails it on Matt. He mocks the superkick and then tosses Matt. Tosses Kazarian. Devine leaps in, cobra clutch slam. 1…2…3.
Winners: VKM @ 3:39 via pin
VKM sandbagging while Serotonin jobs with an extra man and bumps like Gods for them. Shouldn’t have been on here. ½*

From IMPACT 8.03.06 - LAX (Homicide and Hernandez) w/Konnan vs. Clark and Raynce
Konnan kicks out Tenay and West as he is taking over. Moody's mic is on as well. Konnan demands water and cheese snacks, and who doesn't, they are delicious.
LAX starts to kick ass. Hernandez just tosses Raynce around, chops and Homicide back in. Hernandez gets the "border toss" on Clark. GRINGO KILLA on Raynce and that is all.
Back @ 5:01 with AJ and Cide brawling as Hernandez and CD are in the ring. Irish whip and a leg lariat by CD. He covers for 2. CD boots away at Hernandez and then chokes him. Cide chokes AJ on the floor. Hernandez gets a powerbomb on CD for 2. He and Cide work him over, and AJ is bleeding on the floor. Cide chokes out CD, Hernandez has a chair and now Cide has it and then beats down AJ. CD fights back on Hernandez, but Hernandez knocks him down and covers for 2 again. Forearms by Hernandez, Cide in and a tilt a whirl back breaker on Cide. CD with chair shots to Hernandez! Sets it up…leaps off and Hernandez catches him, and Hernandez plants him on the chair and CD is bleeding now as well. Knee drops by Cide as he tries to reopen the cuts on CD. Hernandez has a table and slides it in. Hernandez sets it up as AJ tries to come in, but Cide throws a chair into his face. AJ fires back and tries to take out both guys. This was just another awesome match in the series between the two teams. AJ and Daniels seem to succeed no matter what combo they work in and LAX is tremendous. ****¼

We get some AMW, 3D and LAX promos before various PPV’s. That’s all, pretty disappointing.
The 411: First of all I have to say that there were way too many Impact matches here, eight of them to be precise. While they were mostly “fine,” fine isn’t what you are looking for on a best of DVD. That really hold this DVD back from what could have been a truly great production. Also the lack of any good extras is a big disappointment. They could have gone back a little farther in the history of the promotion to get some better stuff, stuff a lot of people haven’t seen from the weekly PPV and FSN era. But the good news is that three really great outing involving LAX, AMW and Daniels and AJ. Overall a fine DVD, unfortunately nothing to rush out and buy right away.
